I thought I was safe ordering the garden omelet, but it was not what I expected. The Swiss cheese was served as a large unmelted piece rather than melted or incorporated into the omelet, there was barely any spinach, and the avocado did not taste fresh. The vegetables also seemed to be placed on top rather than mixed into the omelet. I ended up not eating the omelet because it wasn't enjoyable. I brought my concerns to the staff's attention, but no solution was offered--no remake, replacement, or adjustment to the bill. I understand mistakes happen, but I was especially disappointed by how the situation was handled. Good service can often make up for a mistake, but in this case I left feeling unheard, frustrated, and hungry.

We arrived a little early so we could sit at the bar and enjoy an Old Fashioned before the rest of the guests arrived. It's a classic, old-school bar with so much character! Once we got to our table, we were greeted with some warm, toasty bread to get things started. For an appetizer, we ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. The shrimp were large, and the cocktail sauce was perfect! Now, here's a must: Order the salad bar! It's legendary! For my entrée, I went with my usual Filet Oskar, sooo good and cooked to perfection! Others in our group had the filet and the fish, and everyone loved their meals. Since it was Mom's 90th birthday, she had the Peppermint Ice Cream, which is her favorite! And here's the really sweet part. Our waitress, Sylvia, noticed that I had birthday candles sitting off to the side. Without saying a word, she discreetly came behind me, took the candles, and put them on Mom's ice cream! Then they worked their magic. They came to the table, took a few pictures, and gave us the photos in a little paper frame to take home. What a wonderful memory from such a special birthday! And back to Sylvia, she was amazing! She was incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal, helped us while ordering, kept our water glasses filled, and always greeted us with her beautiful smile. This is why Sperry's is legendary, the food is great, but the service is what makes the experience truly special! If you're celebrating a special occasion, or you just want to have an amazing meal with amazing service, what are you waiting for? Get your reservation in! Cheers!

Our service was spectacular as usual and the atmosphere is similar to the belle meade location. We loved everything about it and we can't wait to go back.

I've been going to Sopapilla since they first opened & have always enjoyed it. I moved here from…read moreDallas & my favorite restaurant there was Blue Mesa. I had been craving their southwestern cuisine since moving here, & Sopapilla came close! Recently had Sunday lunch there with a party of 7. It actually wasn't extremely busy, as tables began to clear by the time we got seated for our 12:45 reservation. Unfortunately, many times, it's when the rush calms that service at many restaurants wanes. Apparently, there was an issue with/in the kitchen that greatly slowed our service, & our waiter tried to joke about it & wasn't always attentive for drinks/refills. 2 in our party didn't get their food until much later & it was the wrong thing. I think the rest of us enjoyed our food when we got it. I say all that to tell about the professional & generous way the owner has handled trying to make up for our less than ideal experience. We were given complimentary Sopapilla's (which used to be free for everyone), & then he gave us all gift cards. I feel he has more than compensated for this one negative experience. This last time was an anomaly, & I would highly recommend Sopapilla. I will definitely be returning. Always good chips & salsa. I always get the dip sampler with 2 queso + 1 guac, but it normally comes w a bean dip, queso, & guac. I've had many different entrees, all good. This time it was carne asada & brisket street tacos. Great!

Normally that's enough to make me reconsider brunch, but after eating here, I'd happily do it again. We were seated outside on an incredibly hot day, and our server--lovingly known as "Slacker"--absolutely earned a shoutout. He somehow managed to keep our table of indecisive food-sharers organized, never let our water glasses get empty, and made the whole experience feel relaxed instead of rushed. The only disappointment? They had already run out of gravy, which meant no biscuits and gravy for us. (My heart still hasn't fully recovered.) Instead, we leaned into sharing everything else. The fried green tomatoes absolutely lived up to the hype, the OG Bennie was fantastic, the avocado toast was fresh and flavorful, and because apparently self-control wasn't invited to brunch, we finished with the white chocolate bread pudding pancakes for "dessert." No regrets. Great food, fantastic service, and a perfect stop while exploring downtown Franklin. Just do yourself one favor... Get there early if biscuits and gravy are calling your name.
