I visited First Watch today after finding it on Yelp. I came in at 7:30am and there were several people already eating. I was greeted by a lovely waitress who sat me immediately. She asked if I had been to the restaurant before then gave me a few suggestions on the most popular menu items. I ordered avocado toast and kale tonic. I have not had a dish like this before nor am I familiar with fresh juices like this. I will say now that I absolutely loved my food, juice and coffee. The avocado was lightly seasoned with salt and extra virgin olive oil. The bread was a thick slice and very good. Not too soft or too crunchy. The eggs were also cooked good and presented nicely. The juice is new to me and I'm hooked! I wish I lived closer so I could come here a lot more. I will definitely be coming back in the near future. read more

I came here and had their "The Works" omelet. It comes with greens or seasoned potatoes. I didn't care too much for the seasoned potatoes, but I'm not a potatoes person so I'm not rating the restaurant because of that. The eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, and mushrooms however were GREAT! I'd come back just for those. Looking over the menu, I'd probably order the Tri-fecta next time since it doesn't come with potatoes. That way it doesn't go to waste. *note to self* I also got their fresh squeezed orange juice but as I was leaving one of the customers told me that the Kale Tonic juice is where it's at. She seemed disappointed that what I had in my hand was just OJ. LOL. Also, this place has some kind of an App where you can put your name down on the waitlist ... I'm shocked that I'm giving them a 1. For the first time ever I'm giving this place a bad review. This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go to for breakfast. I tell my friends about it all the time. So I just walked out. When I arrived there were no tables available. So I waited outside at the bench out front because of social distancing. A couple came in right behind me and they were sat down immediately. I was shocked, I couldn't believe it. I walked inside to make sure what I saw actually happened. And yes the couple was seated. I'm never walking into this place again. I'm ordering from my vehicle because I wanted breakfast here but I'm never coming back again. This is a sad review. I never in my life thought I would be treated like this. I don't know if it's a racist issue because I'm Latin, but it's pretty sad. read more

My waitress Tonya suggested the avocado toast which could not have been a better choice I can't remember tasting anything like it, thick cut whole wheat grain toast topped with fresh smashed avocado and extra-virgin olive oil, lemon and Maldon sea salt. It was served with two basted eggs. One word unbelievable!!! I didn't stop to blog or talk to the last bite. The service was so quick and friendly :) I washed it down with the Day-Glo fresh juice it contained carrots, oranges and lemons with a hint of organic ginger juice, what a refreshing flavor. By far the best breakfast in town. It also is great for lacto-ovo vegetarians. Everything is fresh and as locally sourced as possible, and service was beyond friendly and excellent. I got the Avocado Toast and eggs special with a coffee and the fresh kale juice. Eggs and coffee were standard, but the toast and juice were phenomenal. The place is well laid out and decorated with a comfortable feel. I was able to stay a long time in the morning without feeling rushed like you do at some diners or a Starbucks. As a warning it is slightly pricier (maybe a dollar or two) than typical breakfast. But it's well worth it for the care they put into their food. This will be my go to place when in town and looking forward to trying their lunch! read more

Best breakfast in town. Seated immediately everyday except for Sunday's. If you order coffee they leave you a pot, and the wait for the food was so fast I almost wasn't ready for it. The eggs (scrambled) were also great, along with my waffle, but turkey sausage left a bit to be desired. We were sat almost immediately. The staff was extremely nice and quick about getting our drinks and orders. I had coffee within minutes of me walking in the door. My mom wanted me to have a nice birthday breakfast and I've always been a fan of the first watch brand. I usually go to my favorite first watch in Orlando, Florida and the one thing I can say about this brand is the quality is the same in both places. Very profession and clean establishment. I'd recommend trying the kale tonic. It taste so good. I got the steak and egg hash and it was splendid. If you're in the area, please stop by this place and have an amazing time. I dine at 1st watch at least once a week for breakfast. My favorite is the banana pancakes with extra bananas. All the servers are fantastic, especially Tonya. I would like to see First Watch bring their discount coupons back or maybe a free coffee every once in a while. I was spending the weekend with my daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren in Dayton before a long work week. I had a forgotten First Watch gift card that was now burning a hole in wallet. I love going to First Watch in Cincinnati. Today it was just me, my daughter and the two grandchildren. My practical daughter checked on the wait time before we got there. There wasn't one and when we arrived a little bit past 9:00 am it was a short 10 minutes according to the hostess. For a Sunday this was great and the actual wait was half that. Once seated we ordered the chocolate chip pancakes for my grandson. They came a few minutes later. By then we knew that we wanted to order their chickichanga and the Belgian waffle. These took quite a bit longer to arrive at our table. My 3 year old grandson had finished his delicious giant butter and syrup covered pancake and we were still waiting. The Belgian waffle was worth the wait. It was golden brown and lightly crispy. It was topped with a large sphere of butter that quickly melted. The chickichanga was in a light wrapping (egg based maybe). The portion size was large. I took some of it home. It came with a very small cup of fruit. It looked like a lot of homeydew melon to me. The side of potatoes was liked by my one year old granddaughter. Our server was friendly and my grandson liked the coloring sheet and crayons. With only three disappointments specifically the wait time for the food, the small limited fruit cup and the fact that we couldn't even order goetta as an off the menu item this breakfast was a very enjoyable morning for my family and myself. The menu is excellent, for vegetarians and otherwise. The bread is artisan and very grainy, and we particularly like the rustic frittata, which includes vegetables in the frittata as well as greens. First Watch also new variations on traditional breakfast and lunches, along with a variety of blended drinks. The service has always been good, but if you are going there on Sunday, you will want to use the app to get in line. My typical breakfast at home is granola and fruit, so just about everything on the First Watch menu is a step up from that. They offer everything from your breakfast classics (omelets, bacon, sausage, toast, biscuits & gravy) to some of their exclusive eggs benedict combinations and breakfast tacos. My favorite thing here is the Chickichanga - a tortilla filled with eggs, chicken, green chilies, onion, avocado, and cheese, and topped with vera cruze sauce. So good!
