Another disappointing experience at a spot I had high hopes for. I suggested the place with a friend in hope First Watch would redeem itself from my last visit. But nope, it didn't. Visited today at 1 pm. Not busy at all however there were a number of tables that had not been cleared off. Staffers goofing off. We waited longer than expected with there being less than 10 tables occupied for our waiter to take our order and than when one of the orders arrived it was wrong. Sent it back and took 10 minutes to correct the error with a salad! Totally unacceptable. Don't think I will be returning as this the 2nd time in a row the food and service was not on point. Sad because I really like this spot. read more

Everything on the menu sounded amazing! Hard to choose. Delicious all the way around. Both savory and healthier/lighter options. We enjoyed one of the specials along with the million dollar bacon and the tri-athlete. Awesome Sunday breakfast spot! read more

Was excited to eat here - coffee was good but breakfast places should have lattes. I liked my omelette but my husband said his biscuits and gravy wasn't southern and couldn't eat it so I'm guessing it was some modern recipe. read more

Happy New Year! Our first visit will definitely not be our last! Hooray for a restaurant spot that offers a great menu of healthy options at a very reasonable price and a great atmosphere. Shout out to our host, Jaleel, who gave us a grand tour of the menu to get us acquainted with all of the amazing choices available. P.S. I loved that there was flavored creamer and Raw Stevia available for my coffee on the table along with Sugar-Free syrup that I requested for my yummy French toast. What a GREAT way to kickoff 2020! Thanks First Watch and Welcome to Concord, NC. read more

Our visit was on a Saturday around 1:30pm. No wait, and it wasn't super busy. Good amount of people in the restaurant but several open tables. Honestly the food was great, everything else not so much. The coffee was also pretty good and I love that they have my favorite silk vanilla dairy free creamer. I had the Tri-Fecta with chicken sausage, scrambled eggs, and a banana granola crunch pancake. My boyfriend had The Works Omelet. I would've given this place a better rating but there's a few reasons I'm not. First, our server was sub-par. He seemed really nice but maybe waiting tables isn't for him. I couldn't really hear him because the place is loud and he mumbled a lot. Not a clue what he was telling us in regards to recommendations on the menu. But also, just the basics like drinks not being refilled, unused items left remaining on the table, and just shear lack of being around in general. We were seated at a small two top and as you can see from the photos, we had little room due to unused items being left on our table. In the picture you see 7 glasses on our table, 4 aren't being used (3 never used). Provided on your table upon seating is a coffee mug and an empty glass at each seat. I ordered coffee and juice, and my boyfriend ordered Sweet tea. The juice and tea came in additional glasses from the kitchen. None of the unused glasses were ever removed from the table which made things uncomfortably tight. I was constantly worried I was gonna knock something off the table. When he did refill our drinks (mainly the sweet tea) he left the previous glass on the already over crowded table. They do also leave the coffee pitcher with you, which could be nice, but again..small table and no room. Secondly, the restaurant was pretty dirty and loud. The host just sat us and looked at the trash on the floor and then just kicked it over and left it there. And idk what is stuck to the syrup container.. just gross. Back to the restaurant being loud... I get some people like the idea of being able to see in the kitchen and appreciate the open kitchen concept, but in this small space it just created a ton of noise..plates constantly clanking together and staff loud. We will most likely just keep going to Famous Toastry around the corner. read more

I will never eat here again. Placed a pick up order ystdy and it took over two hours to get it. When it was brought home the food was cold and there was one hard scrambled egg in my container after all the waiting. Cold potatoes. I didn't even eat the food. No one answers the phone. Instead of a gift card I want a full refund but again no one answers the phone. I'm extremely disappointed with the food and customer service as we've never had any issues with the location back home in Chicago. A manager needs to reach out to me to rectify the situation since no one answers the phone. No one has $44 to waste. read more

Went for breakfast- it was incredible. The waffle was crisp on the outside and airy fluffy on the inside. I like the coffee and water on the table. The waitress was so sweet and attentive. read more

We had a great experience! We chose to sit at the community table, however the wait was only 10-15 minutes. You can enjoy free coffee or water while you wait too. We met nice people as we ate and enjoyed the company and staff. I had the chickichanga which was phenomenal and my husband had the carnita burrito on special. I enjoyed a fresh pressed morning meditation juice which was a great way to start the day! We left feeling full and good about what we ate! We will definitely be back read more

I ordered to go but I came in . "Squid" upfront was so welcoming & sweet overall. The blueberry lemonade is amazing & the food is bomb ! First time definitely not my last ! read more

First Watch - BLTE - American Near Me - Concord, North Carolina

The last time I ate at a First Watch was in Maitland, FL during the early 90's. We used to absolutely LOVE their breakfasts. Fast forward to today when I spotted a First Watch while sitting at a traffic light in Concord, NC. I immediately became a little nostalgic remembering my long ago visits to this quaint little bistro with their delicious coffee (which you could help yourself to while you waited for your table), their perfectly cooked and wonderfully scrumptious eggs Benedict and their fast & friendly service. With my memories making my mouth water I instantly decided to give this Concord location a try. We were lucky in that there was no wait and we were seated quickly, but that's where my luck ran out. Our server Shaun, was quick to appear and take our drink orders. He returned promptly with our drinks and took our food orders. After that, we barely saw Shaun again. I could see the kitchen was "in the weeds" as the entire wait staff was loitering in the kitchen area for their orders to come up. Our food was VERY slow to arrive and was brought out by a different server and whom I had to ask for utensils because we hadn't been given any when we were first seated by our host who was, by now, too busy leaning instead of doing any cleaning. But back to my eggs Bene. So excited was I to cut into my eggs - filled to the brim with the anticipation of oozing hot amber yolk that would drench my toasted ciabatta bread - that I couldn't get my plastic utensils out of their plastic packaging fast enough. Then BAM! There it was. No oozing amber yoke. No aroma filled steam rising from my freshly cut open poached eggs. No scrumptiousness. None! Just utter dismay at the discovery that my two very small poached eggs were nearly hard-boiled and only lukewarm. Simply put, I was staring down at a plateful of disappointment. Server Shaun was nowhere in sight, and I was way too hungry to send it back and risk another 25 min. wait for my food, so I choked down a few bites to stop the growling in my stomach and flagged down a Shaun look-a-like server for a to-go box. Needless to say I will not be returning to First Watch in Concord, NC. There are just WAAAYYY too many other good restaurants in the area to bother with a return visit. read more

We checked in at 10:30am, got seated. Was then checked on once for about 35 minutes. At 12:10 we finally were told it will be another 10-20 minutes for food. 5 other tables after us received food. I ordered a juice and never received it, then was told I could get comped. Then appeared on the check. My first time there and will never come back. read more

I had an amazing experience at First Watch in Concord, NC. My husband and I were visiting from out of town and decided to try this restaurant. It exceeded our expectations. The restaurant was clean, the service was outstanding and the food was delicious! Our waitress was adorable and so friendly and attentive. The assistant manager even stopped by our table to say hi and ask if everything was ok. He even recommend some things to see and do in the Concord/Charlotte area. He was so sweet! The customer service in this restaurant was exceptional. everyone was so friendly and welcoming! If we ever visit this area again this restaurant will be our first stop! read more

It was a busy Sunday afternoon. We were told it would be a hour to hour and a half wait. We were seated way sooner than that. Our server, Ashlii, was very polite and attentive. She went above and beyond! The food was very good with nice size portions. I would recommend to others. Its worth the wait. read more

Will never again try to eat this establishment. I never been to a First Watch for breakfast so I decided to try it today, went online it said 20-30minute wait for 2 and you could join the waitlist online. Arrived right on time and was told I had to wait an additional 10 minutes to be seated so I went to sit and wait inside the restaurant. Well as we were waiting I noticed families that came in after us was being seated before we did and at this point it was 30 minutes pass the time she told us when we walked in. So I go up there and turns out I had been taken off the list. So I'm confused and she says I took myself off the waitlist... why would I take myself off the waitlist and still be sitting there?! read more

Great place to gather around with family and friends and eat healthy. The juice bar is my fav!!!

I was in on May 31st. There was a long wait but I had time as it was a holiday. I was truly impressed at how well Latresa handled (seemingly) EVERYTHING. I was more impressed that she said she had just started there. I am a regular as I work 2 doors down but on this day it was super busy and Latresa handled it like a pro. This is the epitome of excellence at the work place. I see a manager in the making. read more

The wait is long, but if you're okay with it... the food is well worth waiting. It's amazing & the menu says the provide local ingredients when possible which is amazing. I got the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and they were amazing, my dad got the turkey gravy biscuits which were also amazing. Everything looked good on the tables around us, it's one of those places you want to try everything. Just be prepared for it to be a 1.5 to 3 of hours out of your day. read more

Poor, unorganized service. Not truthful about wait times. Order served lukewarm. Place is too popular and they can not handle it. Order had Inconsistencies from menus and what we ordered. We had to get syrup from another table. read more

My friend and I ate here on a Friday about 3 weeks ago. Food tasted great, I ordered a sandwich and she ordered the Floridian French toast. However, by Sunday, both of us were extremely sick and had gotten food poisoning. I've never had any problems with the Matthews location but this was my first time at the Concord location and I became deathly sick for about 24 hours. Not sure if it's due to sanitation or the way the cook prepares the food since we both ordered completely different meals. Will not be back. read more

Just left here. They were really busy and service was slow. Everyone around us sent their food back. We ordered a seasonal special with sunny side up eggs and they came scrambled. Food was good, but the Omelette was almost cold. Iced coffee and juices were really good but had a lot of ice. We also shared lemon ricotta pancakes. They were good but the presentation could use some work- the blobs of lemon curd were not exactly appetizing. This place has potential but I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. read more

I normally don't write reviews, but thought that this was definitely worth mentioning. I have been to numerous First Watch Cafes and love there food and friendly service. I went to this Restaurant on 11-11-20 and the server was absolutely amazing. When our order came out and I cut into my eggs benedict you could see that the white part had not been cooked and was still runny and translucent. My wife and daughter both ordered scrambled eggs and the same thing for them, not fully cooked eggs and they were translucence and runny as well. I just wanted to let everyone know that they should ask to have there eggs more cooked if this is of any concern. Other than this the meal was fine and as always the atmosphere and server were great. read more

I had high hopes for this restaurant but they were quickly dashed upon entry. I was greeted promptly which was nice and was asked how many people were in my party. It was just myself and expected to be seated however there was a family of three that arrived after me but were seated first. I didn't understand that because I was seated next at a similar four seat table near them. I ordered the multigrain pancakes after being told that the batter was smooth and not grainy which I hate and sausage. The food arrived promptly and my sausage was decent, eggs were great but the pancake was not good at all as I tasted the grains. I advised my server who said she'd speak with the manager and asked if I'd like to order something different. I advised her I wanted toast. My overall experience at this place wasn't great and I won't be back. I was supposed to have brunch there on Sunday with friend's but I'll definitely pick a different place now read more

When we walked in the girl immediately took our name for the waitlist without telling us how long. When I asked how long she told me 15 min, it took 55 minutes to get a text that my table was ready. the service was very bad - it wasn't that busy considering it's a lower capacity because of covid - and the service was just awful. the food was OK, my scrambled eggs were super super undercooked it was very runny all over my plate and then it took the entire meal to get new better cooked eggs. I'm just overall super disappointed with my visit read more

Stephanie made us feel so welcome here. The food is always delicious, we come often. Great environment and friendly staff! Thanks Stephanie for another great experience! read more

Front staff was completely rude. I would not be coming back. Had a party of 10 and we joined the waitlist ahead of time online. When checked in the host told us it would take roughly 30 minutes. I understand that our size party was a big one to accommodate the size of the restaurant. So after waiting for an hour, and repeatedly asking the host how much longer it would be, she was no help and kept saying she "did not know" even with the whole floor plans of the restaurant and table displayed on her iPad. When we was ready to just throw In the towel and just leave, we were told that they had seats available for our party, just to split us up into two booths anyhow. After getting seated, we were not even greeted nor given a chance to even put in a drink order before a server came out and asked if we still wanted to stay, because it would take 45 minutes just to get our foods out to us. We decided to leave. If you plan to have a big party just forget about it. read more

I brought the family into this location for breakfast before church this past Sunday. I ordered the new loaded bagel that is being offered for a limited time and man was it amazing, but not as amazing as the waitress we were given. Stephanie was very attentive to our needs throughout our whole visit. We all ordered specialty drinks such as the watermelon wake up and iced coffee but all 5 drinks were prepared and brought out quickly. We ordered our food and before we could even finish our order of million dollar bacon we ordered as an appetizer our plates were arriving. Food was delicious but service from Stephanie was absolutely exceptional. read more

My husband an I come in Saturday to have breakfast for lunch. It was our first visit to this location and we were 100% satisfied. Our server Stephanie was very helpful with our questions about the menu. We came in to be seated immediately and greeted by Stephanie with a pot of hot coffee before we could even completely sit down and get settled in the booth. Our food arrived quicker at this location than it would have gotten to us at a fast food window. Stephanie checked back often to make sure the wife and I were content. After we completed our meal, she suggested that we try the new donuts that they have just for a short time and boy were they to kill for. We definitely will return to this location for the food, but most importantly we will return to get the amazing service from Stephanie. read more

We were so excited to try this place as we had heard such good things about the one in Matthews but hadn't made it to that one yet then this one opened..... one word, Terrible. Terrible customer service, terrible food, terribly dirty and this place is brand new. The table and floor was sticky, the floors just looked dirty, hardly any of the wait staff had smiles on their faces or even looked at you. Ours was ok, but I think we saw her twice and had to track someone else down. Can not believe they brought my son's pancake out as black as midnight and the waiter obviously saw it and just sat it down, luckily another girl walked by apparently saw it (that was not our waitress which was who I was waiting for to inform we would not be eating this and request it be remade) this girl just brought him another and said "I walked by and saw that and whoever brought this out shouldn't have sat it on table..." and that is the only reason I am not giving one star. To be new I know there will be kinks but we will not be back. None of the hostesses said "how are you" "what can I do for you" nothing just stern "how many?". My french toast was gross and not hardly edible and when I informed waitress when we finally tracked her down she didn't really care and we just got an I'm sorry... the coffee was terrible, the only good thing was the fruit. read more

So here's the thing. The food was very good. However I personally did not appreciate that even though the servers were all wearing masks, 80% of them were not covering their noses. This defeats the purpose of wearing a mask. They need to be worn properly for them to be effective. read more

We loved this place and Lauren was an amazing server! Eggs Benedict was awesome! Very clean and parking was great.

First want to say our waiter , Stephen was awesome but my Gluten Free meal was not. Had a traditional breakfast, eggs were over cooked & cold, the bread was only browned on one side & cold, the bacon was slightly warm and the hash browns were perfect. Also, I believe the meal yesterday contaminated me and will take a week to. Or text my system. So please be more vocal to your staff if you decide to eat here read more

Poor service!!!! Waste of time!!! I Placed an order over the phone and was told that my order would be ready in 25 minutes for pick up. Waited longer than that because when I got there the food wasn't ready. Then when I finally received my order, it was nothing that I ordered. The manager asked me if I wanted to wait for them to make the right order and I said No and politely asked for a refund. The manager did apologize but I felt that they could have did better. The people nagging to go orders should double check to ensure that order is correct! Also there is no curbside pickup like most restaurants are offering during this pandemic! read more
