This was our first time going to this location for First Watch and they exceeded our expectation. We usually go to other one closer to home but their staffing issues are to much for us to continue to go there. At this location it moderately crowded. Our server was Evan and he was noting short of great. He was still very attentive even thou we could see he was busy doing other things. The food came out after a short wait which was fine. He checked in on us like you would expect and every time he walked by he gave eye contact. These thing use to be the norm but now it is what it is . I will say in the future we will drive further out just for superior service. read more

This is a local chain and I have yet to ever be disappointed. The server arrives at your table with a pot of fresh coffee & a jug of water. I had the avocado toast. Overall not a great experience at a First Watch, especially this location that is always great. I put our name in online on their website and had a little wait once we got there. When we were seated unfortunately we had a server that was basically an order taker and felt like we were at a fast food restaurant instead. The server came over four times the entire time we were seated. Someone else brought our food who was more friendly. We had to ask twice then wait for extra dressing and had to ask for refills. This is a awesome place to eat. We went for breakfast while heading back to Cleveland. We had spend the day before at Kings Island. They have delicious food. Very healthy & very creative food. We love First Watch! The fresh juices are great and healthy. They have rotating seasonal flavors plus kale tonic which is on the menu. The food is delicious and usually a healthy preparation. The sausage and gravy is made with turkey sausage. You can get fresh fruit or green salad instead of potatoes on a lot of their breakfasts. They make multigrain pancakes that honestly taste like "regular" pancakes. The waitstaff is always friendly and efficient. The hot coffee, hubby's favorite, is always flowing, everyone on staff will fill any table's coffee. And while the person who takes your food order usually checks on you the most everyone helps take care of you. I had a bacado omelette which had delicious perfect looking avocado, big pieces of bacon and cheese. You can get egg whites only on an omelette for no up charge! Usually a decent breakfast here. I like to get their mixed greens with my omelet. Helps the meal not sit so heavy. This visit, I got their steak and eggs florentine. It came with a ciabatta toast. The portions were so small, I ordered a pancake after eating my main course just to fill me up! Fortunately, it was a free entree because it was my birthday. Definitely not worth the $13.95! My husband and I just had breakfast at First Watch in Symmes Township. It was the most unpleasant environment I have experienced in a long time. We arrived at about 9:10 and there were plenty of open tables. We were seated at a table for two, acceptable. Once we were seated and had placed our order the restaurant began to fill up. As we sat there we soon found out that we were in the traffic pattern of the kitchen. The entire time we ate our breakfast we had servers coming from the kitchen right behind my chair, I was afraid to move for fear I would knock a server with my chair. Our entire breakfast was ruined by constant kitchen traffic. Food coming from kitchen from behind me and the along our table, which had one side against the wall and less than a three foot opening between next table. Them the people coming in the same traffic pattern with their bins to clear tables. Talked to manager an just got lip service. Not a happy customer. I'm am not a happy customer. read more

We had a large party with 2 babies and the service was fast and friendly even though part of our party didn't get there until after everyone had eaten. One if the babies got sick and the staff helped cleanup the mess, we thank you for that. The food is very good and many low fat/low calorie options were available. Wanted to love this place. Service accounts for half of the experience and ours was pretty sad. Our waitress made us wait until after we ordered to bring us any water or drinks. When we asked a question about substituting French toast for a pancake or waffle on the traditional meal, she said no and rolled her eyes at an associate waitress standing next to her. Very unprofessional! Was a steady crowd but not overly busy. I would have expected her to check on our drinks during the meal, bring drinks soon after being seated and not be rude to guests. Having been a waitress, I probably have a bit higher expectations for my service. Regardless, if you're not happy with your job, look for another one please. We won't be back. read more

I really like First Watch and I'm surprised I'm just getting around to reviewing it now! This location on Montgomery Road near Harper's Point is my go-to because it's the closest one to my home. Like all locations, they use the NoWait app which scores BIG points with me, because I can get online from my phone and only have to wait in the restaurant for five minutes instead of forty. On Saturday we checked in via the app, arrived at the restaurant 20 minutes later and were seated immediately. We had a nice table by the window and our waiter was prompt and friendly. We were pretty quick to figure out what we wanted, and our order was placed and out within ten minutes. Both my husband and myself had gotten the Tri-Fecta which comes with two eggs, choice of meat and either a waffle or pancake. I got eggs over medium, pork sausage, and a waffle. Everything was just as I wanted it and I really enjoyed my meal. I'm pretty much obsessed with their waffles, to be honest. Eric got scrambled eggs, bacon, and a waffle. He said he didn't like his eggs and felt like his waffle should've been hotter, because the butter that comes out on top of the waffle wouldn't melt at all. I guess I kinda agree with him on that one. I personally think FirstWatch is one of the best chain breakfast places in the area and would take it over a Denny's, Bob Evan's, Cracker Barrel, or anywhere else for that matter. That being said, this is not the kind of place that would ever a higher rating out of me, because at the end of the day, they are all about turning tables. (I should have tasted them before I salted (assaulted) them - my bad. Always taste it first!) Bacon had great flavor, but tasted overdone or slightly nuked. Their menu stated no microwaves, so it may have just been cooked far too long. It wasn't a deal-breaker, but you'd think this place could do much better with bacon... It is pork country, after all. Portions were normal-size and the food was certainly above-average, but the place and place settings are showing a lot of wear; scratched glasses, bent silverware, sticky tables that don't become un-sticky after a good wiping. Time to upgrade/replace some items! Wait staff was friendly and attentive, like you'd expect in a down-home, country-living kind of diner. First of all the food, atmosphere and location in Anderson are all awesome! I love the Million Dollar Bacon and the Breakfast tacos, yum! My only issue is that sometimes the servers take a really long time returning to your table to check on you and idk if they new dishwasher detergent or what, but the glasses are always very cloudy/stained and silverware has been dirty on more than one occasion. The hostess commented that we would have to wait another 30 minutes making our wait an hour long. The wait time was not the problem, our problem was the blatant disregard for our time. My family and I have been frequenting this place for years, despite the mediocre rating. They have a few items on the menu which seem to entice us back in but overall, I would say this is a very average place considering the price. They have all the usual breakfast stuff- a good amount of variety in omelettes, waffles, French toast, crepes, and pancakes. Their lemon ricotta and banana granola crunch pancakes are pretty amazing and unique, which is honestly one of the main reasons I keep coming back. They are light, fluffy and delicious. An issue they seem to consistently have is bringing out cold food. The turnover is pretty fast in this restaurant and I don't see any reason why they can't just serve their eggs hot. The last time I went and got a veggie omelette, the broccoli was mostly brown instead of green, and the ingredients just didn't taste very fresh. The service is usually pretty good so no complaints there. Overall for the price of the food, I would expect much better food quality. Their pancakes save them and are the reason I will probably be back. Otherwise save your money or pick another place for breakfast. read more

Open for Breakfast and Lunch only, sort of like Le Peep if you know that chain. Always crowded, and for a reason: everything they serve is a little or a lot, better than what you'd expect. It is superior food and atmosphere compared to most anywhere else for the price. Put another way, this restaurant is consistent and their food is good! Fresh, healthy, and creative breakfasts and lunches with emphasis on fresh ingredients and made relatively quickly: 15-20 minutes wait for your food is about average. They could do it quicker if they weren't so darn busy but it's the price you pay for good food, good environment, and good service. Lunches are great, lots of good sandwiches and creative salads; try the tomato basil soup, I give it a 9 out of 10, it's that satisfying. Breakfasts are also great, and as others have stated the pancakes are very, very good, but then again, so is everything else for breakfast. If you show up on the weekends, do not come in at noon on Sunday (church just let out...), as you'll wait for 30 minutes to be seated. First Watch in Harper's Point is modern and uber-clean. Worth a 20 minute wait at this location (very well managed store), and I'm not a fan of waiting for meals. We've never left First Watch in Harper's Point anything but happy that we thought to go there. read more

First Watch is very close to where I work, so we frequently go there for breakfast meetings or lunch. The service is usually pretty good, though occasionally it takes a bit longer to get a refill or whatnot than it ought to. Like others have said, even when it's packed, it doesn't usually take that long to get a table. On weekdays the rush seems to be about 8-10 and then like 1130 to 1, with Fridays being a little bit busier than the rest (logically). As far as menu options go, I feel like they have something for everyone. There are really healthy menu options (see the healthier side section of the menu) and then they have menu options with 3 different types of meat. The caveat with their healthier side menu options is that the nutritional facts are only for the main part of the meal. If it comes with granola or a muffin, those are on top of the facts of the main course. There are lots of options for breakfast or lunch foods. As the sole vegetarian among my coworkers, I usually go for the fresh fruit crepes or the veggie burger. Last thought: They usually leave a pitcher of water if you ask for waters, same for coffee. I am notorious for spilling the water as I'm pouring, so consider yourself warned that they're not the easiest pitchers to use. :) read more
