Sunday brunch was packed and busy, but we got a seat pretty fast. The menu had so many options, we actually took a good minute to look at it all. Our server, however, helped us pick out some unique dishes the restaurant offered. I got the chikichanga and must say, it was a nice twist to the chimichanga that I'm used to. Big fan of First Watch in general and this new Chamblee location is no exception! I haven't been up this way in some time​ and was blown away by​ the transformation of the Whole Foods shopping center and everything in there. There is plenty of parking, but it's a little bit of a wonky parking lot so just watch for all the going's on. The menu is the same as all the other First Watch's, which is great since I know my faves. The food was perfect, service was great and I think the only challenge they will face is wait times since it's a bit smaller than most. For those unfamiliar w/ First Watch, they are based in Bradenton, FL and have menu items reminiscent​ of the beach and Gulf Coast with fresh and seasonal ingredients, including great juices. They have mix-and-match lunch options, but being a breakfast fan I tend towards the Healthy Turkey or Tri-Athlete omelets and never a bad choice to grab an order of Million Dollar Bacon! read more

I've been to several First Watch restaurants. Some are very good but some are not. This one is not good. This restaurant is not efficiently managed. The wait staff and cooks need more training. The Restaurant was not busy yet it took several minutes for the waitress to come to our table. The order was simple but it took a long time to prepare and was served cold. The waitress was not attentive and left the check on the table saying, "You pay at the register." All of the above concerns could easily be corrected if staff was properly trained and managed. I will not be returning to this First Watch. Be prepared, parking in this entire shopping area is extremely limited. I'm not sure who was responsible for allowing this size complex to be built with so few parking spaces. Maybe there is underground parking that I did not see. They are extremely busy on a weekend. Try hitting them up during the week. Make sure you get on the wait list prior to your arrival to save time. Definitely get the million dollar bacon. I placed a order on the first watch site at 11:05. It was supposed to be ready at 11:19. I got there at 11:30 and it wasn't ready. I spent my entire break waiting on a bowl of grits and 2 scrambled eggs. By 11:50 the order still wasn't ready so I asked the worker for a refund. She said let me check on the order and walked off. Then proceeded to seat other customers without giving me a update. I left after and called to ask for a refund over the phone. The first Person hung up when I called and explained what happened. I called back and someone else answered she said she had to go ask someone about it. Oh hell nah was the response in the background. So after that someone else came to the phone and said they'd process my refund at the end of the day. And I'd have it in 3-5 business days. This isn't my first bad experience with this location. But I won't be returning. Last time the food was ready 5 minutes after the time given on the site. Which is why I arrived late this time. But here's the kicker. My eggs were cold. This is my first experience with First Watch and it was a mixed bag. The superficial aspects of the restaurant were outstanding. It has a great look and feel. The background music is pleasant. It struck me as clear and bright and I loved the distressed flooring - sadly you can't eat aesthetics! The food was mediocre on the whole. I went with a basic selection for my first time The Traditional: 2 eggs (over easy), potatoes, chicken sausage, and multi grain toast. The eggs were cooked correct and the multi grain toast was exceptional. The bread was thick cut, well buttered, and perfectly toast. I loved it!! The jam was also tasty - strawberry and sweet the way I like it. The potatoes and sausage, however, were not great. Both sides were very bland and I am being generous. In fact, I rarely if ever grab for the table salt but on this occasion I just had to do it. The coffee and juice were great. The coffee was strong the way I like it and the fresh squeezed OJ was great. That said pricing both at close to $3 a piece was a bit high for me. There was also water made available to me in a cute little milk bottle. It was a nice amenity as asking for water refills can be annoying but the water was room temp and I was expected it to be cool or cold. The service was also a mixed bag. I waited a bit to be seated which was odd given that the restaurant was not busy at all. My primary waiter did an excellent job. He was attentive and pleasant. He seemed a little nervous but he got my order correct and did a fine job. What was curious was his name was not on my ticket and there was another waitress who repeatedly came by to check on my experience - in one instance literally seconds after my primary server had checked on me. She also pitched me on their rewards program in the middle of my meal. I don't mind learning about these amenities but it would be more appropriate to pitch me post meal at the register possibly by the hostess. This brings me to the last part of my view - the hostess seemed bored with little to do. It was slow and I don't particular care how folks do their job when there is no impact on my service. That said, she spent most of my dining experience staring in the direction of the kitchen which was directly behind me. I know she wasn't staring at me but it felt like she was and made the experience a bit awkward. I was excited to see this breakfast/lunch restaurant come to Chamblee as Atlanta generally lacks any decent breakfast options in a world controlled by Waffle House. I checked out the menu before they opened and it looked really good, the location was very close to work and I was eager to try it out. Overall, my first impression was not great and the pricing was a bit high. If they expect to compete with the big boy on the block WH they need to step it up a bit. I will give it another shot - maybe at lunch - but my skepticism is high right now. read more

My first time there and the impression was not good. They served us water with bits of onion on the the outside And inside of the bottle. Had a wonderful brunch with my family last week. We came in around 1:30pm Sunday and there was a 45 min wait. Thankfully, we added ourselves to the Yelp waitlist in the road and only waited 10min at the restaurant. I didn't like the fact that the coffee served upon seating was charged. The server brought out coffee just like how they automatically bring you water so we didn't expect it to be charged PER MUG. We didn't not get any warning beforehand. Because they allowed us to drink coffee while waiting for free by the entrance. But we were charged for the same coffee when we sat down. I also noticed that the beverages section of the menu didn't have prices beside it. So beware! If you don't pay attention, the coffee charge can easily slip into your bill without you knowing. They were kind enough to take one coffee off our bill. Service is otherwise great. Our server was very attentive and patient with us when we asked a million questions. She was sweet enough to bring out little samples of their fruit drinks when we had a hard time deciding. Things we ordered: Ham Gruyere Sandwich (9.49): Sandwich was hot and fresh. I just didn't care for the hollandaise sauce. I'll prob order the sandwich next time without it. Açaí Squeeze (3.99): SUPER REFRESHING. It's a new fruit beverage. I think this one and the kale tonic are must haves! Baja Turkey Burger (9.49): Very big burger with avocado inside. Ordered potatoes with it. Potatoes were perfect, seasoned and not too salty. My mom first introduced me to this spot 2yrs ago and I've been coming back ever since. Its conveniently on my way to work and because they open so early I am able to stop in sit down and enjoy my breakfast. Today when I came in..the experience wasn't as grand as usual. I wonder if it has to do with it being the weekend? Hmm. Anyway the host seemed very timid and you could barely hear your name being called. He skipped over a few people and sat people who had JUST walked in. When our server came to the table, she immediately said "nobody told me y'all had been sat." Like where's the greeting?? What a wonderful place to start your day! The restaurant is bright, inviting and not pretentious. When you walked in, they prepared you with fruit infused water and coffee on the side for the people who have to wait. The host and wait staff are very friendly. That's the most important thing when you walk in the restaurant especially in the morning. You want to see smily faces!! The food is pretty good. I had Floridian french toast and I have the fruits on the side ( I never like soggy bread) the french toast is cooked to perfection. The right amount of sweetness and outside is just right amount of crispy. The best part is they bring you a warm bottle of syrup. I also ordered the kale tonic. It tastes great but it's a little bit too sweet. MM has the omelet and he enjoys his egg. Overall it's a wonderful place to start your day. We ordered the Floridian French Toast which was average. The very cold biscuits and Turkey gravy, plain and unseasoned "seasoned" potatoes and the plastic-like scrambled eggs. I enjoy First Watch when I've visited other locations. As this one is new (open less than a week when we visited), they were obviously having some training issues that haven't been fully worked out yet. Our server got both our orders wrong. She caught my companion's on her own, coming back to verify what she'd written down. She didn't say anything about mine, but when it arrived it was the wrong dish, and the kitchen staff delivering it even verified what had been written down. Eventually I did get my correct breakfast, but the food was just OK. I'm more than willing to give the server and kitchen staff the benefit of the doubt that they will improve. I'll probably be visiting here most weekends when I go to shop at Whole Foods next door, so I'll update my review as they improve. read more

I want to like this place so much, but they fall short every time. My most recent trip, I picked up an order. From start to finish, the experience was unpleasant. STAFF- 1/5 stars. I come in and the host is standing there with his arms crossed like he's the bouncer at a club. He doesn't greet me, which I find fairly rude. I get my order and pay the server, who doesn't say a word to me. I'm not really sure what I did to make them so cold toward me, but it wasn't a customer service experience I generally expect from anywhere. FOOD- 2/5 stars. I had avocado toast to go. The toast is great, but the eggs are ice cold upon pickup. Not only that, but my eggs had a hair in them. The avocado toast was quite good and would have been 4 stars. OVERALL- Don't bother with First Watch right now. Maybe they'll get it together, but until then, avoid it. There are other tasty places even just in this complex to check out. read more

Once I placed the order, I called up to your location ask for extra syrup as I know sometimes delivery drivers don't pay attention to what their ordering Upon me receiving my order, the 2 sets of side eggs I order were together in 1. I received no syrup or butter for the 2 sets of pancakes I ordered. Lastly, there was no plastic ware to eat. I extremely upset with all the money I paid to your establishment to receive this type of service. I called to express my concern and the lady informed me I would have to take it up with Uber Eats. I've been here multiple times after I last posted and they've been consistent alright. Consistently bad service. Not sure what the deal is, whether they're understaffed or poor management. It always takes awhile for the server to come acknowledge you and for the food to come out. The servers aren't very attentive to the fact that you've not received your food yet. From my memory, the last two times I went I actually had to ask the hostess to send a server over bc no one had acknowledged us after having been seated for 10 min.
