It's refreshing having a business actually pay attention to their online reviews and care about them. I went to this place because of that fact and was not disappointed when I got there. It was quite the drive for us, so we weren't stoked that there was a wait there. (It's to be expected, however, because it was a Saturday morning). The host quickly told us when we'd be seated - which was spot on. I'm glad we got to wait - because there was an awesome coffee bar people could enjoy while waiting. The coffee bar was a great first impression of the restaurant for me. Food was awesome. Enjoyed every little bite I had. Only suggestion I would have is for them to have more of a variety of coffee. But that's cause I'm a coffee snob. read more

I feel as if First Watch went downhill a bit from the last times I've been here. When I worked downtown I went all the time, and was happy to see they opened a second location in Carmel. We haven't been in a few years, so decided to get breakfast and run some errands. Luckily for us, it wasn't too busy on a Sunday morning and didn't have to wait for a table. When we walked in, there were 3 employees at the front and we were not greeted or even acknowledged for several minutes. We finally got a hello and taken to our table. Service was sub par - we weren't told the specials or really even talked to. We ordered and luckily food came out in a timely fashion. I have gotten the chickichimichanga before and they obviously changed the dish cause it wasn't anything like it had been before - disappointing since it was my favorite dish. The other dishes were good - I was very impressed with the kid's portions. My youngest got the kid's chocolate chip pancake and it was literally the size of a tire. I do like the food and options here - they have a lot of healthy options and their specials change all the time and are very seasonal. I am not a fan of pay at the front though cause the hostess is also trying to seat people while cashing diners out so you stand there for longer than normal. It took us a good five minutes before someone finally returned to the front desk to cash us out. I just hope today was just a bad day cause I do love this restaurant and have recommended it to several people. read more

First Watch - Chickichanga - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Carmel, Indiana

I have celiac and couldn't have felt safer eating here. Our waitress Ariel, was very knowledgeable about celiac and other allergies as well. She was an awesome waitress and we will ask for her next time we go. The manager Josh was very knowledgeable as well and came to our table to go over the menu and what to stay away from that had gluten. Great breakfast place!! read more

Went out this morning for my brother in law's birthday. It was pretty busy but we were seated promptly and greeted after a few minutes. While we waited on a few more to join us we ordered coffee and chatted. Eventually the others arrived and we went over the menu. Their menu looked really good, I could have ordered several different items. I finally decided to go with their "Chickichanga"- a breakfast burrito with green chiles, chicken, chorizo, whipped cage free eggs, avocado, cheese, and more! It was served with breakfast potatoes and fruit. Very good! I would definitely go back just for that, but I look forward to trying other things as well. Even though it was busy, our food came out fast. Service was on point! Nice job! read more

I used to visit the Keystone First Watch often, when I worked in the area. I was pleased to learn of the Westfield location once I changed jobs. However, my experience there today was just really poor! My co worker and I sat there for atleast 10mins chatting before we realized we haven't even been offered drinks. When the server finally did make it to the table, it turned out to be the red head that had just been standing there talking to the cashier. To make matters worse, I found a hair in my food! Honestly, the hair wasn't what bothered me the most (things happen and my entree was replaced) but the service! When I notified the server about the hair, she quickly grabbed the plate and rolled her eyes as she walked away! Definitely rude and un-empathetic. I do believe I'll just have to make the drive back to keystone, where I know I'll get both good food and GOOD SERVICE! read more

Great experience and happy to re-establish the morning routine before a day of baseball. Breakfast is always awesome. We give lots of credit to Lisa S. for launching the day with our boys. Fantastic service, Lisa! read more

We were floored by our first experience. When we first walked in it was extremely busy and a little chaotic without a lot of room for those who were waiting. The gentleman at the front stayed calm and courteous. We received a 15 minute wait and were pleasantly surprised when a table was ready around 5 minutes later. Our server, Scott was fantastic from the start, giving us suggestions and a warm welcome. I ordered the avocado toast and my husband ordered the chickichanga. He was on the fence about which of their speciality juices he should order so since we were new to the restaurant, Scott brought us a sample of the three main types of juices so we could make the decision. When the avocado toast came with the two eggs, I realized the egg yolks were going to be runny. Since I am pregnant, I should have requested the eggs to be fully cooked but had forgotten to ask. I pushed on the yolk to see how soft they were; Scott must have seen it because he immediately came over and asked if I wanted the eggs to be cooked more. He left the eggs for my husband and brought new eggs for me. Wow. Such attention to detail and awesome service! The menu options were healthy, reasonably priced and appealing. So many wonderful options. We recently moved from northern Virginia where these options are all more common and were happy to see a healthy option here. At the end, Scott said that because this was our first time here that he would take care of our drinks. So unexpected and kind. We would have been back just for the good but the service made it extra special. Will definitely be a favorite for us after church! Thanks, Scott!! read more

Food is usually great at this chain but today it was not hot and service was off. Cold waffle (wouldn't melt butter) was replaced. Drinks were never refilled and had to interrupt a long casual convo with a neighbor's table to get our bill and a to go box. read more

Went on a Monday with the family in town and everyone loved it. Healthy options but normal stuff as well. Chickichanga was awesome. Fast and friendly! read more

First watch is a modern version of your standard strip mall brunch place. The decor is light and crisp with colors you'd expect to see on a kitchen accent wall. Very comfortable and attractive. The service was prompt and considerate, despite the fact that there wasn't an empty table in the place. I had high hopes for First Watch, just based on first impressions. I was, however, disappointed with the food. I have 3 things that need to be remarkable before I will recommend a breakfast joint: great coffee, decent eggs, and memorable pancakes. The coffee was nothing special and tasted a lot like the cheap coffee I get served at work. The eggs were also nothing to brag about, but they certainly weren't bad. The thick cut bacon was also a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, the pancakes were a disappointment. They were fluffy, but they had a crunchy crust. Plus they had a bitter 'whole wheat' taste and texture that I generally don't like in my pancakes. I can't get behind a breakfast place that doesn't nail the pancake. The service and decor were great, plus the other food on trays going to neighboring tables looked really tasty. For these reasons, I will go back and hopefully enjoy my food (and upgrade this review to add a fourth star). TL;DR- Lots of promise, but didn't deliver on the pancakes. read more

Outstanding breakfast and brunch spot. I had the eggs Benedict and it was wonderful. Our table ordered the Million Dollar Bacon, wow, it's incredibly delicious. Most importantly, our server was attentive, so nice, and fast. Will be back for sure. read more

It's a sunny Sunday morning and the place is busy, but not at all an issue. Our server, Pamela, was bubbly and pleasant. My entire family loved the food, and its presentation was superb. As coffee snobs, my wife and I loved their coffee, too. Great value for this level of quality menu selection. read more

Absolutely loved this place! I like the style, menu and service was good!! I got a really yummy vegan burger which was super good. Beyond that, my guest and I shared potatoes and fruit which was great! Things were speedy too and we were out quick. Only cons were the initial wait to get in, as the process was very confusing - the front counter was consistently packed. The cafe also doesn't use straws (big yay!) but their glasses were a bit dirty and had us feeling uncomfortable. read more

This place was fantastic! I am on tour with a band and I will most definitely come back to this place for breakfast/ Brunch it was so good.

Waited over 40 minutes for food. Manager didn't care. When food was delivered by server, it didn't look fresh and they expected us to pay for it. We weren't the only ones waiting for unacceptable lengths of time. The topper was that I wasn't even served what I ordered which I had confirmed with server. Some is wrong with the manager and probably the kitchen. OVERALL MORE THAN A DISAPPOINT. VERY POOR UNDERSTANDING ON HOW TO INTERACT WITH CUSTOMERS. read more

Not only are we express with the food & the service, but Melissa, the manager, is very kind and takes time to see that we & her other customers are well taken care of. The servers are always helpful & pleasant and we enjoy coming every week! read more

What a wonderful place for breakfast or brunch. We are regulars every Saturday. The coffee is simply great and you get as much as you can drink. Even a To go one. Large menu with all types of different foods . Lots of them healthy and some not so. But plenty of choices . I don't think you can go wrong eating here. Best bread by far of any restaurant. Lisa and the other staff will simply go above and beyond to get your order right. If you give the place a chance you will wonder why you would want to go anywhere else again. We love it and the staff. read more

This is my favorite place to get avocado toast in town. The order comes with creamy avocado layered thick on some hearty multi grain toast and 2 eggs made to your liking. This breakfast always hits the spot! read more

First of all, I travelled over 45 min to get to this place and I was very specific about what I wanted. When I arrived to pick up my order the entire meal was wrong! Such an inconvenience!!! I will not be coming back, they not only were nonchalant they didn't do anything above and beyond to make it right! So disappointed with the level of customer service!!!! read more

First Watch for the second time was just as amazing as it was the first time I came last month. The food tastes very delightful and original compared to most other brunch places. I will be definitely coming back! read more

Healthy and delicious food with a wide variety of options. Clean and relax dining environment. We love here!

I have been to this location several times. The food is always good and fresh. The service is also great. I would recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. The only downfall is that they are not open past 2:30 pm. read more

New to town and have tried several of the highest rated places around and the majority have disappointed, including this one. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things but there was just nothing special, could have made it at home with more flavor. I had a sandwich and tomato basil soup, husband had biscuits and gravy. Both of those are some of our favorite foods and difficult to disappoint, but sadly we were. Service was great though. read more

My wife and I just finished a late breakfast here. The food was excellent and the service was spectacular! Our server's name was Lisa and she has the most wonderful personality for anyone who works with people at all! She was prompt yet gave us ample time to enjoy privacy. I can not compliment her highly enough! The food was made quickly and tasted great. We had breakfast, but their lunches are wonderful too. The million dollar bacon is a must! Even the coffee is well above average. Give it a try! read more

Good place but overpriced I think you pay for each word they write in the description of the menu the more words the higher the price.

Tried this place again and the service was terrible. I admit,it was a bit slow last time but, this time we were totally ignored. Waitress said be right with you but,10 minutes later nothing. We left and went to LePeeps read more

After leaving my last review, a manager reached out to me that evening to apologize for the experience we had at their location. They also offered to send us a certificate to come back in and give them another chance. We did, and 4th time was a charm. Our server was pleasant, attentive, and the food was still great. We didn't tell anyone we had been invited back my management and had intentions of speaking with them afterwards, so we were pleased the experience was authentically good this time. Come to find out, it was only the servers 4th day, and it definitely appears they're taking their customers' reviews seriously and making changes accordingly. I wasn't expecting any sort of response to my review/comment, so I truly appreciated the desire to turn a bad experience into a positive one, and they delivered. We'll be back. :) read more

Went here after church for brunch and it was delicious! Very fresh ingredients, very fast and friendly service! I could stand for the portion sizes to be slightly larger as I kind of anticipate omelets and other breakfast dishes to be large. But I was in love with the swishroom omelet I chowed down in! Love the seasonal menu in addition to the regular menu! That's a great concept! Will definitely be back! read more

Not impressed. My wife and I came in for a late breakfast and were immediately seated. Our server Alyssa was very pleasant but was clearly overextended as she was delayed in taking our order and forgot at least 2 items we requested. We ordered grapefruit juice and a featured melon juice and both were returned as too tart for our taste. Our server removed these from our bill. The Chikichanga was adequate but unremarkable and the Tri-Athlete was ok. The coffee was hot and fresh. We will not likely return as there are many better options for breakfast. read more

Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Excellent avocado toast; loved the Cobb salad. Hubby had the waffle with the jam. Coffee is a winner. Check out the specials like pumpkin pie oatmeal, etc. We did not have to wait, but went around 12:30pm on a Saturday and 7am on a Sunday. Service can be a tad slow. read more

It doesn't look like much from the outside, being in a strip mall....However, this is a great breakfast place, especially if you are looking for healthy options. I had the butternut squash quinoa. It was very good with walnuts, cranberries and goat cheese. Service was fast & friendly which I was not expecting after reading other reviews. Also, reasonably priced. read more
