First Watch = first love!!! I'm rarely disappointed with anything I order here. I was hooked the first time I tried First Watch about three years ago. This particular First Watch is my fav I love the staff, they are always amazingly great, no matter dining in or take out when I get off in the morning. I adore they serve adult juices here too. Unfortunately a bad experience. We sat outside and it took 30 minutes just to get our drinks. In addition to that it was over an hour to receive our food and at staggered times. The location wasn't busy, so I'm unsure what the issue was. I do know that we love the Riverview location. Even the food wasn't very good quality compared to the other location. Typically I wouldn't write a review like this, but management never visited the table, nor did they comp any food after returning cold food and not great service. read more

I cannot tell a lie; the service here is still working out the kinks. I visited in the middle of the week twice now, it's not bad service, but it is inconsistent, which I think would upset most people paying $10 for a pancake. The first time we visited, no one was assigned to our table, so service was really rough. We waited a while for basics like drinks. The second visit I'm pretty sure my food was served burnt, considerably overcooked for sure, but they stood by that it was prepared correctly. They did offer to remake the item, but I declined because what's the point if it was meant to be inedible. The last time I ordered the item it was a light brown, this time, it's borderline charred. I think it's rude to serve clearly burnt food and pretend like it was cooked correctly, just acknowledged it didn't come out right, and needs to redone. No big deal, but don't put it on the customer. That's what I mean when I say service is still working out the kinks. Neither visit a manager came over after the issue, we didn't ask for one, but it's pretty standard for a manager to apologize if you seat a table and accidentally forget to assign a server, or serve an $8 menu item burnt. I hope they improve, it's still a new location, so I have high hopes the issues will resolve. read more

I have visited several FW locations and always have enjoyed my visits. You can always count on the food being reasonable. This morning I decided to treat my granddaughter to breakfast and was very disappointed with the service and hospitality. I was seated and after 30 minutes and until I said something I was ignored. There were two people already seat and being waited on when I came in, After 20 minutes another person came in , was seated and greeted directly across from me. The waiter proceeded to serves her coffee and take her order. . I waited another 10 minutes then I decided to say something. I was not acknowledged in any way as they continued to walk by me without even asking if I needed help or wanted something to drink. I am african American and did not want to think it was discrimination but I was the only black person in there at time but I was purposely overlooked. Maybe it was because I had a small child with me I don't know. I would have left but my GD would have gotten upset. So I stay. The manager eventually came out and apologized and offered to cover our meal, but I left feeling disappointed and hurt. Covering the cost of a meal does not make up for poor hospitality and service. My husband and I like the location and enjoy the food. From a business perspective, we hate the meals being subtotaled and taxed individually. Tax should be applied once. i don't know why this is done except to tax more. Notwithstanding, disliking this practice I have a deeper concern about this particular store. We've been there twice on the weekend in the past couple of weeks. They have a dark hair girl with glasses who wears her mask on her chin ! The first week she wasn't our server and we were relieved. This Sunday she was our server. She saw our masks. If she's that apathetic about her mask at least she could wear it properly when at the table with customers and breathing on my food. All the other servers were compliant. If I come in and see her with her mask on her chin, I'm walking out. When she did pull it up, she only covered part of her mouth. Did no one tell her that some customers are uncomfortable eating out still ? It's the same server. I'm sure you know who I'm speaking of. Please speak to her. read more

Stopped by on a whim today. LOUD atmosphere, I could barely hear the server. I ordered French toast, a side of bacon and coffee and the bill was $21! Too pricey for what you get. I asked if they had maple syrup because I don't care for the blueberry syrup. They brought me a cute little individual bottle of maple, but charged $1.29 for it.. seems like they would have disclosed that up front. First timer here. We decided to sit outside due to Covid. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. I ordered the Italian omelet with a side of fresh greens and cheese grits. Although the grits weren't appealing to the eye, they were actually pretty tasty. My BF ordered the pancakes and they were light and fluffy. I only had a taste but I will definitely order them next time. I noticed that they had a carrot pecan pancake that I would try on my next visit. read more

Wow! I had the Floridian French Toast and it was so delicious. Definitely a new favorite of mine. My friend had the Morning Meditation juice and she said it was pretty tasty. Our waitress, Selena was awesome. She answered all of our questions and gave great recommendations off the menu. Our food came out pretty quickly. I will be back! read more

My hubby and I are familiar with First Watch over the past 10 years. The menu has definitely changed over the years and not for the better. We went to this location because, honestly, the place we originally wanted to go to was closed on Sundays. This is a new location, so decor was nice and it was fairly clean. Employees were nice and greeted us. We were seated pretty quickly, because we arrived at around 9am and it wasn't busy yet. I ordered the biscuit and turkey gravy meal. It comes with 2 eggs and potatoes. My husband ordered the smoked salmon vegetable frittata and subbed potatoes for the greens. Our order came out in a decent time. They forgot to give my husband potatoes instead of the greens. Pretty easy fix and they corrected it. The meals itself tasted decent, but not worth the overall prices. I wish I took photos, but I forgot. My turkey and gravy biscuit was lacking in the gravy. The biscuit was opened faced and one half was completely dry with no gravy on it. I've ordered quite a few biscuit and gravy meals in the past from other restaurants and never have I had to ask for more gravy. My husband's smoked salmon frittata was really thin. His meal was at least $11 or more and I did not see the value in what he purchased. There was just an average amount of salmon that was cooked within the frittata and like I said it was thin. Paired with the greens/salad, it's almost a rip-off. Overall, I would not recommend First Watch. Nothing wrong with the service or cleanliness. With places like Keke's, Maple biscuit company, or Metro diner (in Tampa), this company is not worth your money. It's quite sad, because they used to be great years ago. Menu changes, skimping on portion sizes, and glamorizing the recipes has detoured me from choosing them as a go-to breakfast eatery. read more

Great food! The server Abbi was Very conscientious. Kept checking on us to make sure we had enough coffee if our food was good she was always there when we needed something. Had breakfast here with my family and it took forever to get the food while everyone else got their food. Manager and waiter offered apologies and they knew they were wrong but didn't seem sincere. Only positive thing that came out of it was they offered to pay our tab. But they still didn't give an explanation on why it took an hour and a half to get our food. We are not going back. read more

Not my usual first watch I go to but I met a friend who frequents this one. Our server Jack was terrible.... She has had him many times and said every single time he is like this. It took about 30 minutes to get drinks on the table and he was so pushy about getting our food in without even having drinks on the table?!?! Waited almost an hour however, I figured it would be a wait being the recent opening. Normally would not wait that long but I was excited to try the new place out. Having never been to first watch I was surprised the food was a bit pricy small portions and I still can't believe I paid $8 for a 10 ounce Mamosa ‍ my waffle came out no syrup the waitress only came by twice to take out order and to drop the bill off, by that time the waffle was cold and I was over it. She never came by to see if the food was ok, get us a refill, nothing. She never once checked on us. Sadly I will not be returning. read more

After my last two visits to the Bloomingdale location, I feel compelled to write this review. I am a diehard First Watch fan, I have brought many people who have never experienced this chain countless times, always positive. Not so anymore. I understand that many restaurants have had to modify their menu, protocols, prices to stay in business, but except for the fact they do follow good Covid practices and offer outside seating, the food has made both myself and my guests sick the last two times. I thought it odd that both of my last visits our food came out within 5 minutes, very greasy, and simply didn't taste right. I did mention to my server, but she said that's the way they make it and did offer another one, but since this had happened previously, I declined. I had the Elevated Egg sandwich and my friend the roast beef sandwich and both were dripping in oil. Never had that experience before. Both times, a few hours later we were sick. The prices have also gone up, but the quality has not. I am giving it 2 stars for the fact that they appear to be following good Covid measures. read more

I really wanted to enjoy the experience, but it all just kept going downhill. It took more than 10 minutes for a server to come to our table, then an additional 10 minutes to get our drinks. The cups and silverware at multiple tables around us (including ours) were very dirty. The drinks were wrong but getting a server to come to the table was almost impossible. The food was average.
