I've been meaning to update this review ever since the owners of Naga Tea introduced their new coffee concept. Initially, I was really missing the previous brand. But then, they kept luring me in with their unique twists of Asian inspired mocktails featuring their premium espresso blends and Naga teas. Now, they have a menu of favorites based off of their customer's preferences as well as an assortment of seasonal cookies and buns from Ngot Baked Goods and Le Moment Patisserie. I discover something new every time. It's become my favorite guilty pleasure when craving boba, coffee, or sweets. My favorites so far are the Pandan Caramel (coffee or tea version), Midnight Taro Storm, Cloud 9, Mango Matcha, Daydream Lychee Espresso, and Mocha Eclipse. I haven't seen the latter one in awhile, and that may be because Black Sesame isn't as popular around here. I can only hope that they bring back more of it. What do I miss from Naga? The croffles!! I've tried them at other places, and they're just not as good as the ones I had at this location. Duo Café keeps changing things up, so maybe it will happen again one day. I also wish for better lids on their boba tea drinks. You can no longer shake them. It has to be stirred in order to mix up the components of the drink. Other than that, it's still one of my favorite places to visit in the Brandon/Valrico area. The service is always great. The drinks are perfect every time. It also happens to be dangerously close to me and way too convenient for that quick stop on the way home. It's a great concept that shouldn't be missed when visiting Valrico. read more

This place is amazing! Ming took great care of us today! We used to have to drive 45 minutes to get Taro x Ube Matcha and are SO THANKFUL we can get our fix right here in south county!! Love the posters on the wall and the adjustable seats to hang out with friends. They also have board games available! read more

On my way home from Riverview, I wanted to have a coffee and searched for a nearby coffee stop. I came across DUO Coffee and decided to check it out. When I arrived, I realized that DUO Coffee hadn't opened yet, so I stepped into Naga Tea instead. After chatting with the manager, I learned that Naga Tea is currently being rebranded into DUO Coffee and will be opening soon. Since coffee wasn't available, I explored their tea options and decided to try the Honey Milk Tea with boba. The ambiance of the store was clean and inviting, with light colors and a positive vibe. I received my drink quickly, and it was exactly what I needed--a refreshing, lightly sweetened honey-flavored iced tea. I'll definitely be back to try DUO Coffee once the rebranding is complete! read more

We were attending my nephews birthday next due at AR Workshop and well you know if I see a tea shop I have to go try! So hubs and I made our way next door. There were no customers so I was able to walk right up for ordering. The shop is esthetically pleasing and smelled so good. The staff member working really didn't seem too enthusiastic about being there and seemed a bit reluctant to take me order. I asked for recommendation between the special Peach Please and the Strawberry Rush slush and decided on the Peach. I forgot to order without sweetener sooo it was sweet but actually not too sweet. The flavor was good. Probably not top of my list to return but was a refreshing treat for the day. read more

This has been my recent go-to spot for milk tea for months, and I'm obsessed with the Pandan Caramel. Their sea salt crema is also a must-have. The strawberry matcha ganache and dubai chocolate cookies are some of the best cookies I've had in a very long time. The employees are also very sweet :) read more

Such cute interior and friendly staff. Their menu is special because not many boba places offer lavender, ICE CREAM, and dairy alternatives! So if you don't like to drink dairy, they have some good options. The Lunar Lavender that I ordered is actually made with nondairy creamer! They also offer coffee and tea lattes. I went as soon as they opened pretty much is it was pretty slow and had the fresh smell of boba in the air ! Staff answered all my questions-- because I had plenty. She always explained how their taro is pretty texture but mixed with Ube. So if you've been to Mogee, it's not as authentic as theirs but not so sweet and artificial as most Taro Milk teas you can find at your typical boba location ! There's a lot of parking. So I saw that there was a new boba tea spot local to me and I am always ready for more boba teas so I headed over to try Naga tea. I got there and I was thrilled to see that it was right next to my favorite pizza spot. I walked and and it was a very basic setting, not much color pop at all. I asked the two ladies what the recommended because they had a couple flavors I haven't seen so she told me the taro ube was really good so that what I ordered. A couple minutes and it was mine for the tasting! The Taro flavor was good but the texture of the ube I wasn't a fan of I was hoping for a ube jelly not ube mush I did get clear jelly that were at the bottom but little more firm than Annie's but not the worst I've had. The customer service here has gotten worse with each time I come. I've been going here since they opened and now I would rather drive the extra 20 mins just so I can get what I paid for. This is the third visit that we went to get boba, and they had no boba. They also didn't even know what the drinks were made of. I avoid dairy in my drinks, but they assured their "milk teas" were non dairy - but they didn't know what replaced the "milk" part of the drink. They couldn't confirm what the "cream" in the drink was. I also asked for half sweetness but the drinks were extremely sweet. This place has fallen off since they first opened. read more

Used to absolutely love this gem of a boba bar before their recent "improvements" were implemented. Sooooo disappointed with all of the changes and likely won't be returning. The atmosphere used to be so cozy, fun and inviting. Now it's just sterile and feels like less of a place to hang out and more of a place to order "to go". The tea recipes changed... dramatically. Sad that my favorite (wintermelon) is no longer offered and more importantly, boba milk teas are traditionally made with a non dairy base and now they use dairy milk for their drinks. And, if you want it non dairy it's an extra $1 for a non dairy alternative. The large cups are smaller and the lids don't use the heat sealed plastic so you can't shake your drink to mix it. (Which was frustrating to mix my cheese cap). So... $7.30 for a smaller, less flavorful drink feels like it's not an improvement. Seems like they want to do more coffee drinks and get efficiencies with those offerings. It's ashame. Loved this place so much and not likely to return. I was a big fan of the original Naga Tea in Temple Terrace, for years it was my main spot I enjoyed boba at the end of my college years and beginning of my true adult life. It was a happy place, so when I saw they opened up just a few minutes in Brandon I decided to go give it a try. What I found is the same kind of ambiance, with an expanded menu, and many of the original drinks that once were a reward for a tough day or a great time with my closest friends. I ordered my favorite from the old days, the Lemon Black Tea. It tastes just like before, which shouldn't be too shocking since many of the old owners are still involved. It was excellent. Back in the day, Naga was considered pricey, but now their prices are the standard for most boba shops and will run you around $5-7. There was plenty of tables insides and games for those who want to spend some time with friends or maybe do some remote work. It's in the same plaza as some food options as well including Shrimp Boat which is a family favorite. Overall, it was great, I would return and do recommend it. Good luck to them here. read more

I remember back in the day when their only location was in Temple Terrace. I'm glad to see that they've added another location in the Brandon/Valrico neighborhood. As usual, they have many nice selections of milk teas, coffee, fruit teas, etc. Their lavender or lavender combo teas are usually my go to's if I can't decide on anything else. Everything looks so good! As most people come in here to order take out, there's only a few tables and chairs for seating. I was greeted by a very friendly, social lady at the counter who gave me a lot of good information about their teas after I asked a few questions. I didn't have a very good reception. They were well staffed. There were two ladies in front of me that were together so they weren't very busy. I saw on their menu through Yelp that they had Earl Grey but was told they no longer had it so I ordered a cold black tea to go. The girl who took my order was not friendly. They put some tight plastic film on top of your cup instead of a plastic lid so you have to fight with it to get it open to put a straw through. This place is a hard pass for me. read more

I went here on a Saturday with family and it was great. The shop is so cute and a perfect place to study. We all together order 5 drinks and the worker was so sweet. Such a great find. Lots of options and flavors. Small pastries and Macarons available. Their fruit teas are my favorite. Not heavy or syrupy. Oolong tea is the perfect balance between the less Green Tea and strong Black Tea. Their specials each month are clever. Loved their chocolate covered strawberry for Valentines Day. I came here with my family and we wanted to spilt a half gallon milk tea to share so we asked for an extra cup. We spent 25 dollars for the drink so personally, I thought a single cup could be spared, however they refused. On top of that, they were snarky and rude. The worker assisting me didn't even know the full menu and had to ask for help after they got my tea wrong the first time and wasted a half gallon of tea. I am beyond confused that they couldn't spare me a single cup. I was excited to spend a Saturday evening getting a drink with my family. Sadly, it was ruined because of this establishment. Awful. Wanted coconut milk tea with boba but they didn't have it so she tried to concoct something and it was wretched. I also ordered my son a drink with popping boba and both were terrible.. I spent $14+$3 tip here.. what a shame, I walked out threw tried mine and my sons. Both are full and in the trash now here outside of SUSHI Ninja. I'm at SUSHI Ninja now, where I received the correct drinks and only spent $8 +$3 tip and I left happier on all fronts. read more
