The food, ambience and service was excellent. My friend group of 9 was served quickly and efficiently.

First Watch redeemed themselves with my most recent order using a bday reward. I've even returned since and was pleasantly surprised with my visit. The Chipotle Steak and Queso Hash, Roast Beef and Havarti Sandwich, Barbacoa Chilaquiles Breakfast Bowl and Watermelon Wake-Up were all to my satisfaction. The biggest shocker was how much I enjoyed the Roast Beef and Havarti Sandwich. I'm unsure if it was the horseradish sauce or parm-crusted sourdough but I would easily get this again. read more

We went there for brunch today. I ordered a Cobb salad. It looked delicious but as I started to eat it, all the lettuce was brown or wilted. It looked like they had pulled old lettuce out of the garbage can. I heard the guy in the back say it's the only lettuce he had. So tell me it's rotten! Dont serve it to me. Not when lettuce is making people sick! read more

If you've never been to First Watch with your family or friends, it's a must-visit. The ambiance feels welcoming and home-like. The service is friendly, and the food is quick and fresh, but not fast food. I have several favorite dishes, but everything on the menu scores an A+. On my last visit with my family, we were celebrating my sister's 60th birthday. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict, served with a side of greens dressed in a homemade lemon dressing. read more

Food-- great!! Service-- varies from Usually very good to infrequently not good Ambience-- Horrible! Upper management makes the dining experience more like a 5 o'clock bar experience because they keep the level of the upbeat music at a level so that it's louder than all the diners' talking level. On waitress said "That's just the First Watch way". Really? So, which is more important, the music or the enjoyment of the people who spend their money to come and eat there? I'll find a different place for breakfast. read more

I am a fairly picky eater but I got the elote breakfast burrito off the seasonal menu today and it was delicious! It was the perfect blend and proportion of ingredients where nothing was lacking or overpowering. My husband asked me to leave a little for him to try and by the time I got to the last bite I was so sad I had to share! I also got the seasonal honey caramel crunch iced coffee which was soooo good and looked so pretty. There was about a 15 minute wait when we got there but the service was great and everything came out perfectly. We were there for about an hour and a half with a fairly sizable party but never felt rushed or like we were waiting around to be helped. We all cleaned our plates and this was by far my favorite meal I've had from First Watch! I wish this dish and drink were on the menu year round! read more

A one star because I can't go lower. Tried to eat lunch here today. Walked in right at 11:00. The entrance was sitting full of people and the tables outside were sitting full of people. You know what wasn't full? The booths and tables inside. Plenty of empty seats but they weren't seating anyone. Do they have more business than they want? Probably just simple poor management for not having enough help. The last time I ate here the service was horrible and the food was just mediocre. I tried to give them another chance today but they failed AGAIN!! read more

The BLT Eggs Benedict was pretty good but they really skimp on the avocado and load it up with pounds of arugula. My service was friendly and efficient. The curly headed male host with the 80s porn star mustache should really invest in a lint roller to get all the dog hair off his T-shirt. It's not a good look for guests the minute they walk in the door. He was, however, pleasant to deal with. read more

Food was very tasty! The Bacoomelete is my fave. On this particular busy morning for the restaurant our server was a newbie and our service was only mediocre but the manager came by to explain the situation. My opinion she should have been given less tables to cover until she got her feet wet so to say? But I will return to give the place another chance because my food was great! read more

The food and atmosphere was amazing!! We were recommended to eat here after surgery. The SoCal Breakfast Hash was incredible. Coffee was great and we also got one of their wonderful cold drinks - morning medication fresh juice and since I have a cold, we got the shot of liquid IV to help. It was great!! Our waitress didn't seem attentive until we were ready to go but Amy who took our payment was so sweet and attentive. Ask for Amy's section!! read more

Service was excellent. Place is cute and very clean! Food was good but pricey for breakfast. Have to wait 15 min+ for table on weekend mornings. Worst issue was noticed at end of my meal. In a booth by the window, a couple of big drips from the ceiling hit the table area where my drinks sat that I had already finished. Turns out they know they have a leaky AC vent in ceiling right above the table. Staff told me they are aware and corporate sent AC company out but they claimed it was best they could do! Not acceptable!!! I'm left wondering how much AC drip I consumed in my Meditation Beet-OJ drink. The ceiling tile has water stain. They could add a vent fan in the attic or try other fixes. The staff says it's up to corporate. Well, CORPORATE, fix your leaky AC before someone reports you to the state for contaminated food. This place seems to work hard and they deserve better corporate support!!! read more

Food was great, price point was costlier than I expected. I would be back though. Clean store and respecrful workers

Sadly my experience today at First Watch Vestavia location was a weak 4 out of 10. I had the works omelet with potatoes and I was only able to eat a couple bites the food was bland and the omelet filling was not cook or seasoned well. It took awhile for my waitress to greet me but after that she was cool despite the not so great food and so so service I did leave her a 25 percent tip. read more

I really love First Watch!! I live right next door to this location so I do a pickup order every now and then but I finally was able to come in and sit and have brunch with my sister for our birthday. They did not disappoint. Everything was flavorful and our server was great. The place wasnt too crowded and the restaurant was clean and well kept. I will continue to eat here I definitely recommend. read more

WOW. JUST GO. SERIOUSLY. Go right now. Get in your car and drive to this amazing place. What? It's closed today? Meh. Who cares? Stay anyway. Sleep in your car and get in line for the opening tomorrow morning. Yes. It is THAT good. There really are no words to adequately describe the delectable-ness (yes, I realize that's not a word, but I'm using it to further illustrate my point) of the food that is served here. I would recommend any of their Hash meals. I had the Market Hash and was instantly in love (pictured). My parents also each got a different type of Hash. They loved theirs as well. I went to First Watch with my family and ordered a morning market veggie omelet with a side of seasoned potatoes. I also ordered a purple haze juice. I got my order for dine-in. Our waiter was very sweet. He came to the table multiple times after we got our food to check and see if everything was okay and if we needed anything. He served us with kindness and enthusiasm. Since COVID-19, First watch has had hand sanitizer provided at the entrance and wiped down each table after use. Overall, the staff were very kind and my food tasted amazing. I rate this experience a 5/5 and will be returning. read more

We order online here often and the food is always great but they are very understaffed. Most of the time the orders are over an hour past the estimated pickup times. The waits are usually over an hour for people coming in when half the tables are used. I know this is common these days but it has slowly become not worth it the past couple times we have ordered from them. If this was solely based on their food, I would give it a 4 or 5. But the waits have become out of hand for orders. I have seen a few customers come in and just cancel their online orders. In addition to long wait while most tables are empty. read more

My go to place for breakfast and brunch. Their Benedict's are delicious! My favorite is the BLT Benedict. Service is good too.

2nd time... got seated immediately.. but was ignored by all the wait staff. We sat there and waited for 15 minutes while we watched others get served who came in after us. We left after telling management that we didn't get waited on while we watched offer get served and eat their breakfast. The excuse once again was we are short handed. Then he said listen just a traveling manager.. we will not be back. read more

I really had high hopes and I really wanted it to be a 4-5 star review. First, the woman that sat us to our table was great. Friendly and smiled. Our server, quite the opposite. I get it, we are in a time where no one wants to work, BUT if you are going to work, then don't act like you don't want to be there. No smiles. No personality. Just...I'm here, what do you want kinda attitude. I ordered the Farmhouse Hash....one, you had me at avocado. Two you had me a potato. I request no bacon and medium eggs. After we order, a male server comes to our table and asks if someone has taken our order. We say yes and he asked what they look like. We describe her and he looks annoyed. Like really annoyed. He walks towards the kitchen. Stops, looks our way, rolls his eyes and keeps walking in the kitchen. NOT SURE what that was all about but....totally weird. Someone else brings our food out. OMG it look amazing (see picture). I can't wait to dive in. I cut it all up and good morning America, there is bacon in my dish. (I know, I know...who doesn't love bacon? This girl who owns two pet pigs and used to run a pig rescue). So I call over a bus boy and explain the situation. He takes it back for me. He brings out the new one. Looks amazing. I cut into it and WTF. So they left out the bacon but also removed the Avocado. It's not that hard people. Farmhouse skillet, no bacon. That usually means, leave everything else. Our server made an appearance finally and I asked her for a side of avocado. Everything is right in the world again. It was delicious and despite the three stars, I'd probably eat here again. I left stuffed. read more

Absolutely pathetic. I ordered delivery and was so excited because I love the other First Watch locations. When my food arrived, it was missing strawberries, had cups of liquid whipped cream, and the food was completely burnt. I tried to eat one bite of the potatoes and they were somehow raw despite being blackened to a crisp. I called the store and the manager was the person who quality checked this order before sending it with the delivery person. I would have been embarrassed to send this to a customer. When asked for a refund or a fresh order, he said he couldn't send another or give a refund, and that I had to call corporate. The corporate website says that to get refunds you have to call the store. Either way, this is absolutely insane. read more

This used to be our absolute favorite place for breakfast! We would go almost every weekend with our kids. It was fast, healthy and good service. I am not sure what happened but the last three times we have gone we have been so disappointed we won't be going back. I think they are greatly understaffed, which I understand it's a hard time for everyone. But it took a long time with two kids and it was hard to keep them entertained. There also were so many flies in there it was hard to keep them off our food and my waffles were raw in the middle. read more

The place has become more popular post virus. Service and food quality have declined I was within 3 minutes of walking out. My server didn't greet me till I had been there for 10 minutes. He also only checked on me once. I understand short staff but this was not tolerable. I will probably not be back and visit other locations when I have a craving for 1st Watch read more

This is my third visit to First Watch within a month and I am so glad it's in my rotation. Everything is fresh so I don't feel bad but's also filling so you don't have to worry about not getting your money's worth. I got 3 multi grain pancakes for $7.50 (warning: the pancakes are a little bigger than the size of an average plate which meant I had enough for more than one meal). the millionaire's bacon (bacon with brown sugar, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup) is A HIT. The AM power bowl (chia seed pudding with coconut milk, homemade granola, homemade blackberry jam and fresh berries and bananas) YUMMM. The bowl comes with two pieces of almond butter toast so as you can tell i've ordered more than enough food. If you are nervous about trying this, don't. read more

Where to start...we've been to the First Watch in Hoover and it was amazing. The server was caring and attentive and the food was great! So I decided to bring my family to the new location, and it was extremely disappointing. Our server didn't even know he got a table till 15 minutes last, but I get it no one brought it to his attention while there were servers on the floor with very few tables so it's fine cause he was sweet and understanding. My problem was when the food came out? WOW. My egg Benedict order was wrong where it was just basically an egg and brioche bun and the side of potatoes was more burnt than edible for my plate and my sisters plate as well. I always give second chances, but this was just unacceptable for someone to be served that. read more
