I've only been here a couple times, but everything about the establishment is so welcoming that it's become a great place to catch up with friends all while enjoying a nice meal. Staff is super friendly and easy to talk to but the main objective that needs to be focused on is, of course, the food. So far I have had the Kale tonic and Morning Meditation (some of their signature juices) as well as the Chikichanga and the SoCal Breakfast Burrito. Not only is the presentation of the dishes extremely pleasing, but the taste of it is even better than expected. Good breakfast and lunch food really don't have too much to say about it but they are a little pricey but they have really good waffles and decent açaí. Water is free so that was nice. They have good chocolate mints at the front where you checkout so make sure to grab a few when you leave, if they are crowded you can get on the wait list right before you leave your house and by the time you get there they will most likely have a table ready for you. I dined at this location for brunch this past Sunday with 2 friends and my son. My son and I were running late and arrived 10 minutes after my friends. After sitting there for an additional 5 minutes with no one stopping by I got up to see who our waitress was because no one had been by to ask for our drink order. Needless to say we had about 4 different waitress and never truly knew who our real waitress was until we asked before we paid. Service was not good but the food was delicious. Nice place, I would definitely recommend going first thing in the morning. My family and I went at 8 am Saturday morning and by 9:30 there was a wait. We came during a fairly busy brunch service but were seated immediately. After ordering it took about 30mins to get our food which was expected. Our waitress was fairly inattentive. Tried this one weekday around lunchtime. We were seated quickly and the food was good, but not really much better than Ihop but quite a bit more expensive. I got the traditional breakfast and my eggs were cooked perfectly. The ham was a nice thickness for processed ham and nicely browned without being dry. Potatoes a little under cooked. Toast was hot when it came to the table but I didn't like the spread that was on it and would have preferred something more natural like butter (clearly some type of artificial butter substitute because it never melted and was flavorless). My niece had the Tri-fecta. The eggs were nicely done and bacon crisp but not over cooked. The multigrain pancake was delicious. We also got an order of "million dollar" bacon. This was the biggest fail in my opinion. Based on the menu description I was expecting something more similar to candies bacon but what we got was bacon just barely done and with some syrup poured over it. Service was good. So I've driven by this place that always seems to have a line out the door but this last Sunday everyone in our house was awake early so I figured we should seize the opportunity to get ready and head to first watch and I'm sure glad we did! Everything here is made to order so expect the cooking times to be a bit longer than usual. We ordered the Millionaire Bacon to start. It was super tasty but the bacon was flimsy and at $1/piece I probably wouldn't order it again. The kale tonic was super light and tasty. I liked they give you a carafe or coffee and large container of water so you don't need to rely on your server for refills. My son ordered a kids chocolate chip pancake and it has to be the largest one I have ever seen! For our meals we had the smoked salmon Benedict and salmon frittata. My husband said the salmon Benedict was good but fishey tasking so he wouldn't order it again. I ordered my frittata with a side of dressed greens instead of potatoes and that was an awesome decision. So happy to have a clean, new, fresh place for breakfast nearby!!!! My only complaint was the service. There were a couple of times we waited a long time for silly things like napkins, water glasses, and I had to abandon the other half of my frittata because the server never came back with a box I asked for so I could take it home. Farewell leftover breakfast. I thought of you fondly this morning while I ate some cold fruit and cereal. Oh well. Service is very accommodating, the variety of teas are great with lots of organic options. The menu offers a lot of healthy options as well as traditional breakfast fare and the prices are reasonable. Definitely not for the IHOP or Denny's crowd, which is another big draw for us.
