Last month after attending the Feed the City Guinness world record sandwich making event my bestie and I needed a brunch spot to catch up and dine. We landed on Lac Bleu which is just a few miles away (from Globe Life Park) in North Arlington and a cute little spot. I moved from the DFW area about 3.5 years ago and never knew this new little retail strip was here nor that Lac Bleu even existed. I really enjoyed my florentine crepe with mushroom, spinach, cheese, diced tomatoes and hollandaise sauce. My girlfriend had the huevos rancheros and they were really good. They did a great job at seasoning the black beans and the green chiles added even more flavor. The price of $5.99 seems like a bit much for a side of sliced avocados but she got them. They also offer a mimosa flight available for $26 and regular mimosa $8. We didn't partake but good info for the future or anyone reading this. The decor is fresh and fun. Parking is a non issue - free and plentiful. They're pretty strict about seating even a party of two before everyone has arrived which was interesting but a few things were interesting. Nonetheless we enjoyed our food and time together. I would recommend Lac Bleu and would return if in the area. read more

This was one of the better brunch options by our hotel. On arrival it was packed, the wait time was not long. Julie was our server, she was sooooo personable we we're planning on trying a new place tomorrow, but we will be back t We had the waffles, birria omelette, and the breakfast plate. If was a good breakfast but the ambiance and service is what made his experience the most enjoyable. read more

This was suggested for brunch and I was looking forward to trying something new. When we walked in, the smell of eggs smacked you in the face. Due to their location, I didn't know if it was the eggs or the landfill that sits behind it. We stood in the reception area for several minutes, we were observed, but still were not tended to for several more minutes. In total, we stood there for almost 10 minutes. I could understand if they were busy, but that wasn't the case. I was open to going somewhere else at that point, but we decided to stay. They have a weekly mimosa special, you can buy one and get one free. . Elderberry Cocktail: This was very good, I could taste the elderberry and it wasn't overdone. Sometimes, when you add flavoring to a drink it can be overpowered and nothing else stands out. They did a great job with preparing this drink. Breakfast Sandwich (Sausage, egg, and cheese - croissant) - I can't really rate this, it was a sandwich. It wasn't made improperly, it was exactly as described. Believe it or not, the sweet potato fries were the winner, I could have made that a meal w/ fruit on the side. Overall, I like the look and feel of this cafe. Would I visit again? No. There are way too many brunch places that serve better. read more

Lovely place to dine with friends, or for a solo date. I ended up being solo due to my friend oversleeping & me jumping the gun getting seated beforehand. The waitress was nice & had a good laugh with me about it, I'm also grateful she didn't pay any less attention to me because it got busier & there were large parted coming in but she remained consistently attentive. Beautiful inside, bright & lively. Staff seems happy, they seem to have a good work flow. Great customer service all around starting from when I first walked in, fast & friendly. Iced latte, great, strong coffee flavor. I had the crab cake benedict. I was not disappointed with this choice, the waitress also recommend it when I asked her about this one & another dish. Egg was cooked perfectly, hollandaise was rich & creamy, and they did not skimp on the crab. Grits were good, no complaints here. I will definitely be back, with or without friends. read more

Came here with my wife while we were visiting Arlington for the Noah Kahan concert. Food was delicious and the menu offers a lot of variety. As a vegetarian I appreciate the many of the most appealing dishes offer meat as an extra add-on rather than including it by default. Can't help but love the Texas shaped waffle. read more

This was a cute brunch spot for our mommy/daughter brunch. We enjoyed the laid back, floral decor. My daughter enjoyed the Texas-shaped waffle; the grits were just okay. I added chicken to my crepes florentine and requested the hollandaise sauce on the side. Glad that I did as I was not a fan of the sauce. I added maple syrup instead and it was really good. Our server was helpful in making menu suggestions and checking on us. Overall nice brunch spot. read more

I was trying to find a middle spot for my friend in Dallas and me in Fort Worth to meet for brunch. I randomly found this spot and thought the pictures looked cute so we gave it a try. We arrived at 11:30am on a Tuesday there was only one other table. Two more came a little later. We both had a mimosa for drinks and they had a great selection of flavors. Also had a lot of coffees and other cocktail type drinks too. We then looked at the vast brunch/lunch menu. I am such a breakfast girlie and they had so many great options from oatmeal to waffles, to sandwiches. I had classic eggs Benedict it came with Canadian bacon and I chose hash browns as my side, everything tasted great. My friend got a breakfast bowl with peppers and onion and scrambled eggs, which she enjoyed. The server was nice and it came out fast. The decor was pretty and the place was clean. I would definitely come back. read more

Came here for brunch today. Why have I never been here before?!! Loved everything about it. Cute place. Pretty fast turnover so we did have to wait for a table, but not for too long. It's bright and lovely inside and our server was amazing. I had an iced latte with hazelnut flavoring and oat milk with crab cakes Benedict. The eggs were a bit over poached (not runny at all) but it didn't stop me from devouring my delicious meal! read more

This place is very basic and overpriced. It would be food I can make it at home. I personally like going to places like Snooze or First Watch more. Its ambiance is nice and simple. The service is excellent but if this review is based on food alone it would only be a 2-3. read more

I haven't even eaten my food yet and I LOVE this place. I have never been to a restaurant, well at least in the last 25 years, that has had such courteous and helpful staff. They are exceptionally nice. The restaurant is sparkling clean and I am very picky about that, as you know. I know the food is being prepared fresh cause I went back the and looked in ! Lol What a great place to hang out. It's like being at the "boulangiere" on the Rue Mason. Just noticed the music is great. Now the food. Boy was I shocked! It was excellent. I got the breakfast taco with bacon. So much bacon! The tortilla was fresh and flaky and it was grilled the taco itself was huge. I mean it could be for 2 light eaters for sure. I was so impressed. Eggs. Potatoes, bacon, cheese YUM! It was really good and I'm an expert on breakfast tacos. The Mr. got the ribeye steak omelet. I thought "uh oh"- steak at a French cafe? I was worried. Y'all, he rarely comments in food. I literally have to dig it out of him. He ate the omelet and said "That was Delicious!". Needless to say, I was shocked. You don't expect a little cafe to have excellent steak. He said the omelet was perfectly cooked. Wow! Now I have the topper. We pulled up to the restaurant with his mom and she decided we needed to take it home! Ugh! But take it home we did and it was as described. I couldn't believe it. So pick up or eat in, this place is THE place to go for breakfast, brunch or lunch. It's in a growing area (Viridian) in far North Arlington. I live in southwest Arlington and that will not keep this from being one of my regulars. I hope the location will be good for them because this beats out any other breakfast/brunch place in Arlington in my opinion. Give a try. I think you'll love it read more

This place was very very cute, it was my first step in Dallas and my partner and I came here for a brunch date. The staff were very lovely and our server was really nice.. the food on the other hand, had me confused. I got the Benedict that had steak and Yucca fries but for some reason, it was cold as in almost room temperature and the steak was way too rare though I'd asked for a medium or medium well. I asked for it to be reheated and when it came back, it looks so much uglier than before, but it was somehow still cold. At that point, my appetite was kind of gone and I felt bad having to send it back so we just paid for it anyway. My partner liked his omelette. I tried it, but I'm not really an omelette fan so I don't think it was good or bad. Will I be back? Possibly, but not as a first choice spot. read more

If you love a lively vibe, nice decor, a good brunch menu and a perfect location, Lac Bleu is for you. If you're over 60 with bad hearing, forget it. The restaurant is one large space with all hard surfaces and the noise level on a Sunday at 11:00 is deafening. Our group was a reunion of sorts and for us not being able to talk because of the noise level was a deal breaker. We left after waiting 15 minutes for a table because we realized we would not be able to talk and hear each other. I suggest the owner look into some sound dampening panels for the ceiling, add some sound absorbing partitions and floor plants. Or not. read more

Overall, the service was good and the food was okay. I ordered the chicken n waffles. Waffles weren't as crunchy as I hoped for and the chicken was a bit dry. After we placed our order, the food came out about 10-15 mins later so wait wasn't too bad. read more

My experience: Pros: I found this café online when searching for brunch spots. The café is nice looking, and clean, and the staff is friendly. The Good: I ordered the oatmeal, I asked if it was pre-made or made to order. The waitress didn't know, so I stated if it's made to order I'll take a bowl, and tell them not to overcook it. I explained, that would get me started. 5 minutes or so later, the waitress returned and asked if "you'd like anything else"? I then ordered the Crabcake Benedict, eggs scrambled and the waitress stated "your oatmeal will be right out". The Bad: The oatmeal and Crabcake Benedict came out together. This began my frustration. I explained to the server, this was separated in order to prevent this. After all, who wants to eat the oatmeal and have the eggs get cold? Her reply, "can I get you anything else"? I answered, no, thank you. After tasting the oatmeal, it was indeed overcooked and bland despite it being made-to-order. I flagged down a wait staff member and asked for the manager who was apologetic about the food coming out together despite the time delay in ordering. I also rejected the oatmeal, and my waitress upon providing my bill as asked mentioned thr manager removed the oatmeal from the bill. The Crabcake Benedict was prepared properly, however it was not a better crab cake. It was more cake than anything else with only the most faint taste of crab, maybe. The hollandaise sauce and indeed the eggs had no flavor to speak of. Why 3 Stars: I abhor rating any establishment less than 3 stars based on a single visit (this was my 1st visit) unless something goes horribly wrong. You could do much better with cafés such as a first Watch or Keke's, in my opinion. A note to cafés, restaurants, bistros, taverns, and the like: With prices increasing as they are, food prep, presentation, flavor and texture are becoming even more essential to customers, and more consequential. read more

Had to wait over an hour for our food. When it finally came out the food was cold. Not sure about you but I am not fond of cold eggs! My chicken fried steak was also cold and you could tell from the taste it was one that is frozen and they just heat up. Will not be coning back !! read more

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and chic--perfect for a cozy brunch date or catching up with friends. The decor is everything and the vibe is both relaxed and stylish. We were greeted promptly and seated quickly. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit without ever feeling rushed. Now the food... wow! I had the Atlantic Eggs Benedict, and it was perfectly cooked with rich flavors and a beautiful presentation. The portions are generous, and you can tell everything is made with care. Whether you're a brunch lover or just looking for a new weekend spot, I can't recommend Lac Bleu enough. It's the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. read more

We went on valentines day for brunch. We were seated pretty quickly and our wait started. The server was nice and pleasant. The wait time from ordering until we got our food was crazy long. **Disappointing Experience** I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered the mimosa carafe for $30, and it did not meet my expectations at all. It was full of pulp, yet!!! Decent food but pricey for what you get, friendly but forgetful service, cute atmosphere. The best part was the look of the restaurant and the booth we sat in was comfortable and clean. The food was fine but nothing to write home about, especially for the price. I originally was going to order one of the chia seed pudding bowls, but thankfully the waiter warned me that it was very small which I commend him for at least. So I and my friend both got classic breakfasts. Eggs were cooked well and I had sourdough toast - she had a Texas shaped waffle. The waiter was friendly and nice but a bit forgetful, and we had to ask a few times to get napkins, a small to go container and coffee refills. Overall, meal was fine, but I've definitely had better breakfasts elsewhere. read more

The place is cute; nicely decorated. It was kind of cozy. The service was good but kind of slow. When we first arrived there weren't that many people there. It started to fill up after we had been there for a little while. The food was good; served hot and accurate. The crab on the crab Benedict was a little crispier than I expected but it was flavorful. Sunday September 2023 11:20-30ish arrival time. Busy- every table was full except 2 tables at the front. No reservations, as reservations couldn't be made. Cons: wait time, one bathroom stall, no paper in the bathroom, but the automatic hand dryer (unsanitary), pricing for the quality is a touch high. It is affordable, though- I'm speaking for the quality. Pros: aesthetically pleasing, parking is ample. Meats were good. The host quoted us 15 min. You give your cell number to them, and they txt you when your table is ready. We opted to wait in the car, but received a notification 5 minutes later that the table was ready. We waited 5-8 minutes for our server, Tiffany, to come by and tell us she'd be with us shortly. The Menu is decently priced. Not too expensive. Mid-priced. Some may think on the higher end for some items. One breakfast item I recall being $20ish. Check menu picks attached. Ordered: Meaty breakfast bowl $16 and lemonade ($3) & Classic breakfast combo $16 (uncharged $4 for "sweet waffles") = $20 and a peach Bellini ($8) I set the timer because I had read service was slow. They opened April 22, 2023, so they're less than 1/2 a year established. Someone behind us got their food before us, but they sat down and ordered maybe 10 min after us. So that was odd.... I asked the eta of our food and got the standard waitress reply that it would be right out. Later, the Waitress comes to our table at 12:16 (after 30 min of waiting) and she says that she's sorry, "but that the food didn't submit." She awkwardly brings out another lemonade to my friend, but as seen in the pictures attached, my friend had barely put a dent in her first lemonade. 8 min 40 seconds is how long it took for the food to come out after that. Bacon- a little salty but 4/5 Sausage- a little salty but 3.8/5 Eggs- 2/5 needed seasoning. I even added cheese. Waffles- 2/5 would not re-order. They were cold to touch. as if the kitchen cooked then first, and then cooked the meat. The "sweet" part of the waffle was cinnamon sugar sprinkling, and an icing drizzle. Not worth the upcharge of $4. I am, however, comparing them to Kitchen + kocktail's same entree, which is AMAZING. Meaty bowl was a 5/10. She did not finish it. Potatoes were good. That's the pro. $51.69 for an experience I wish I could take back. I *may* give it another try. But I'm in no rush, and I doubt within the next year I would return. The sister restaurant is just as average. If the restaurant would've accommodated in SOME kind of way beyond "I apologize" I probably would've tried to come back sooner. Time= money. We wasted both today. read more

We decided to give this new brunch place a try, instead of hitting the proven breakfast restaurants. This was a Sunday around 11 am. We had a birthday to celebrate (grandma), and a group of 10, so we expected a little slow service, plus the restaurant was full. We really like the black and white decor throughout. The failure today, I believe, there was only one POS computer, and all the servers were lining up to put their food in, to send to the kitchen. There could be other reasons, I didn't see a restaurant manager on site, other than wait staff, nobody was there to push for speed, maybe he or she was in the kitchen, or maybe absent. This was no holiday or Mother's Day, but the food took 37 minutes to come (image attached). I noticed other tables, even a table with a party of two, behind us, that arrived before us, their food took similar amount of time, and the husband or boyfriend was very upset. I could see it on his face, I was surprised he didn't walk out. We all finished our drinks and refilled twice before the food arrived. Food arrived, looking good, tasting good, but the portions were slightly undersize. Breakfasts at other restaurants like First Watch or Cracker Barrel would be larger for this prices. My Strawberry Fields Salad with chicken was ok, the highlight should be the strawberries, and it had max two strawberries (sliced), but lots of pecans, should be called Pecan Fields (with strawberries). The chicken was a mini slice of chicken (2 ounce max) and it was overcooked, and dry. I also had a tomato bisque soup, I liked it, but was not steaming hot, it was just slightly warm. I ate it. After waiting so long for our food I just wanted to eat and leave. We will be back, hopefully next time food will be out in 15 to 25 minutes max. Of course, a strawberry salad and a tomato soup meal: 10 minutes max. We were charged 22% tip due to the big group, but we still added additional tip to our waitress, the slow service was no fault of her own. You get two stars for food taste, one for decor. You came up short on food delivery time, quality, and quantity of food. read more

I'll start with location I love the area so that's a perfect spot. I came on a early Friday morning so me and my boyfriend were able to get in and sit right down. No wait at all. The place is beautiful very modern and very clean. I got the Arnold Palmer and boyfriend got sweet tea no complaints there. Now I ordered an omelette with add one that was good and it came with toast or croissant the top of the croissant was soft but the bottom was kind of hard that was odd. I then wanted French toast but it was no substitution so I had to order that on the side and then my boyfriend ordered chicken fried chicken which he got eggs and then fries. He said the chicken was fried too hard but the eggs were good (which is a lot got him as he is not an egg eater) and fries along with gravy was also food. Now the price to me was a bit much for a breakfast spot. When the French toast said two we didn't think it would be two pieces of bread split into 2 which made it 4 or else me and my boyfriend wouldn't have both ordered it as we didn't even eat it. $71 to me is a lot for two people for breakfast but we tried. I saw this place on tik tok so I had to check it out. read more
