But I had a hard entered tip of the maximum 20% amount. But once the manager explained it automatically gets imputed on parties 5 or more I backed off. I did also see it on the receipt after the phone call. But my kids shouldn't have been counted as adults or I should have been asked ages to be told they would be counted as adults or kids. Having a guarantee tip on a party of 5 is ridiculous. A party of 5 is an average party size and family size. I know they usually tack the guaranteed tip on like a party of 8 which is usually when you have to join tables, but I have NEVER seen it on a party of 5, especially not 20% maybe 15%. I have seen it when a bill gets to like $200 they tack it on but not under $120 that's stupid. The manager claimed my server just started and didn't know to change the count with kids, I call BS because my wife and I have eaten there on a date a few months prior and she was actually our server then also. So she has been there a minute and she new what she was doing, also she never asked ages to confirm anything as well, so she new EXACTLY what she was doing, and my only hard question is how many people she has done that too. She just got caught this time that's all. Won't ever eat there again, which is sad because I liked that place and was one of my favorites.

What was more disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. No manager came over to apologize, and nothing was comped or discounted on the bill. It was clear the staff was aware of the situation, as several employees came out and repeatedly stared at us, which made us feel uncomfortable. I understand that mistakes happen, but it's how they're handled that matters. With better service recovery, this could have been a completely different experience. As it stands, it left a bad impression. I would consider giving them another chance, but only if situations like this are handled more professionally in the future.

We sat outside and were pleased with the location. The location surely had its charms. Relaxing, calming. Perfect environment for some much needed respite. The restaurant is situated on a quaint quiet street, across from some beautiful Charlestown style homes. We both chose Ribeye steaks and boy was I surprised. They were huge! We BOTH got our steaks grilled perfect! I was extremely impressed. I jokingly told the waitress they mush have a boxer working in the back, tenderizing the meat because the steaks were so tender I rarely used the knife. The steaks was incredible, just the right amount of searing, juicy, seasoned just right, and so flavorful. And get this, we received our steaks at the same time, right off the grill so our dishes were both hot. It had been such a long time since I had enjoyed a meal this much. My reservation of going again has absolutely nothing to do with this restaurant. Cost of living is getting high and the cost of a great dinner like at the Annapolitan will cost you.
