He makes recommendations to where the cameras should be placed to get maximal visuals around your property. The location of security cameras that he places did not ruin the esthetic of my house and I'm very particular about such things. However, the cameras are clearly present to deter any intruder. Although it is great to see and catch any intruders from breaking into your house, I prefer for the security cameras to be a deterrent and preventive more than anything else. He will install either your personal cameras or his. His security cameras are of high quality and he also provides a warranty on them. I purchased 8 HD security cameras from Bamboo Communications. They came out and installed it in a day. They even did it on a day when it was raining. What I like most about John and his company is the excellent customer service. He is not someone who will sell you a product and service and disappear. He is responsive for any follow ups. John's security system not only allows you to review any and all suspicious activities. John did a great job for me. I have to say I was skeptical about getting a new surveillance system . A previous vendor had installed one that constantly went down and pulled my WiFi with it. Bamboo provided me much better cameras and HD recorder for less money. More to the point, the installation went very smoothly. There was a hiccup the first day, and John dropped everything came back over, got on the phone with his rep and got it all worked out. It ran flawlessly after that. About a year later, I had electrical issues and as a result of that, I accidentally blew out the settings for the surveillance system. John returned my call while on vacation and with a series of texts and photos and also using online control of my MacBook, got it back up and running. The very next morning I got a call very early from his tech support folks and we ironed out the last details. Smooth sailing once again. Our garage had a couple of attempted break-ins and I called John. He came by that afternoon and after talking to him for about 20 minutes, I increased the workload. I could tell just by talking to him for those few minutes that he knew what he was talking about. No BS. He came a few days later with his crew and accomplished everything we needed which wasn't an easy task when it came to the hard-wiring of our 120 year old Victorian. Wow! If you need to install a security camera system or Bluetooth sound system in your home, look no further. John at Bamboo Communications is incredible. He installed 7 high def cameras around my home and the install was perfect. No wires showing and the system works seamlessly. His work was so good that when I was having an addition to my home, I called him back to install Bluetooth speakers in two rooms. Again, impeccable work. Basically I have ADT which you can upgrade to ADT pulse system with cameras. The ADT cameras connect into your internet provider system (example Comcast). If your internet goes out then your cameras go out. Both company's usually blame each other for connection issues. But if the problem can't get fixed due to compatibility issues ( blocked signals) then the customer has to pay for a service call because the cameras were working during installation but now it doesn't work. Gee, if only these major corporations would get along. Hmm, maybe they want to lock you into a two yr contact? For several years I've looked at many brands of security camera systems ( Lorex, Axis, ADT, Foscam,Q-see, Nest etc..) If you just want to buy a camera system and have John install and guarantee that system, then that ain't going to happen. John has a certain amount of cameras that you pick that fits your requirements ( Vandalproof Dome, varifocal, PTZ, Bullet, Night vision ect.) then he builds that NVR (internal fan/ hard drive, software etc.) compatible for your system. Yes, for the price you pay of course he teaches you how to use your system and only a phone text away if you run into problems. You get what you pay for when you have Bamboo Communication install your camera system. You do want your security cameras to look professionally installed, right? Johns expertise and knowledge of his system is what I was searching for. My eight dome security camera system ain't cheap but it gives me the peace of mind knowing I can monitor my home and family any where in the world. John guarantees his work and support. I did have connection issues in the past but John was able to remote login to my system and fix the problem with no charge. On the other hand, if I had a modem or router connection issue, it is not Johns fault that I can't view my cameras over the Internet, so do expect a $150. service call at his discretion. read more

I have to say, I am more than impressed with John's professional touch. I saw his web page and sent him an email. He responded very quickly. Set up a date, came out, and I explained to him what I needed. I wanted to be able to see my kids no matter where they were outside. In front of our home I needed to be able to see up the street and down the street to watch for my son's school bus. John not only set up the 8 cameras I needed but made it possible for me to view all cameras on the TV in my bedroom. To my surprise he did this all in one day. Once completed I used my laptop with the program that John set up for me, and walked the kids outside and showed them all of the cameras. They saw our images as we walked from the side of the house, to the backyard, to the other side of the house, up the steps and along the balcony. This made them feel safer because I could see them no matter where they were outside. What I expected and what I received were two different things. He hates seeing wires so there isn't a wire showing anywhere. Everything is vandal proof. The job looks as if it was done for an expensive office building. The camera setup will indeed raise the value of my home a bit as the entire home is viewable by the 8 cameras. We can now sit inside in the mornings as my son watches TV and I have my coffee and view the monitor and watch for the school bus. I can always see it coming up the street and by the time it gets to our home, we are at the door. He is not cheap, and his work is not cheap, but it is worth every dime. I would recommend him to anyone without fear of them being disappointed. I am very pleased with his work and am very relieved that when we go away on vacation for 3 weeks, I can still monitor my home inside and out and all around every corner, thanks to the fantastic job he did. John and his crew delivered on what they promised. They were one of the few companies that actually came out to the site to do an estimate instead of using google maps. Imagine that. The products they use are not your "off the shelf" Costco or Best Buy stuff. This is commercial grade equipment designed to perform. This stuff was not cheap, but the quality that you get from them is outstanding. The picture is clear and there is no lag or picture freezing. I can access my cameras from my PC or remotely on my phone without any issues. I am very happy with the quality of the picture and the coverage of my home. I can stop right there and it would be an average review, but what makes this a 5 star is that John and his team arrived exactly as promised and conducted an installation that was clean and efficient. They completed the installation in record time. That is not to say that it was an easy job. What they had are very competent workers that knew exactly what needed to be done. They did not just drill holes randomly and hope that they find a stud. These guys knew what they were doing and made minimal holes and took great care to not cause unnecessary damage to my home. Long overdue review. We had an attempted break-in and the first question the police officer asked was, "Do you have video cameras?". Well, we didn't, but we do now. I contacted John at Bamboo Communication and he returned my call within the hour. He came and reviewed what we wanted and discussed quality, placement and options. Within a week he and his team returned for the installation. They worked all day, cleaned up after themselves and John patiently set up our iPad's and iPhones to enable viewing from anywhere. John also reviewed using the DVR and monitor to playback, record and save pictures and video. So very happy we went with Bamboo for our camera setup. I recently had concerns about one of the cameras and playback issues. Contacted John, he responded almost immediately and had the technicians contact me. I recently made calls on a Saturday to several companies regarding estimates for a security/surveillance camera system. It was a difficult installation as our home has 3 stories with the modem/router on the top floor and the camera dvr on the bottom. Our layout required wifi to be used and the existing system was inadequate so John recommended an eero mesh system to beef up the wifi and once he installed that the system has been working great. We're especially impressed with the clean and minimally invasive installation - very professional!. If a problem arises, John will suggest not one, but several solutions.
