I recently completed the Pistol 101 course at Burro Canyon with Tom from L.A. Progressive Shooters,…read moreand it was a transformative experience. To be completely honest, I started this class with a significant amount of fear regarding firearms. However, the patient, safe, and professional manner in which we were taught immediately put my mind at ease. Tom does an incredible job of prioritizing safety above all else, ensuring that every step is understood before moving forward. His teaching partner Val added such a wonderful, welcoming touch to the class. Her presence and guidance made the experience feel even more approachable and inclusive. Because of their combined efforts, I walked away with so much more confidence than I ever thought possible. If you have been hesitant or nervous about taking that first step, I cannot recommend this course enough--you will be in great hands.

I wish I could go through more repetitions of some of parts of it, but even with four hours there was a lot of content to get through. Course taken: Beginner Pistol Training Course…read more Summary: 2-day course. First day was in the office where topics were covered via PowerPoint presentation and Pete allowed us to do dry firing with airsoft guns. Second day was at the range for about 1.5hr where he taught us safe operation (i.e. grip, stance, aiming, accuracy, loading, unloading). Special remarks: Pete's dedication to gun safety and safe gun operation is apparent in the way he teaches. He is passionate about safety and an enthusiastic teacher which made the class fun. One of his most valuable strengths is that he was able to teach in a way that I could understand. (Side note: I am afraid of guns but took this class to combat that fear!) Pete was able to keep the class engaged, provided constructive feedback, and attention to detail. With his guidance and support, I was able to see a significant improvement in my grouping and decrease my fear of guns overall. Also, I made new friends in the class :) **I will be returning for other classes. Definitely recommend.

From the moment I walked into the classroom, Edmund made everyone feel welcome. You can tell he genuinely cares about his students and has put a tremendous amount of thought into every aspect of the course. Everything was organized, professional, and ran smoothly. No matter your experience level, they take the time to coach, answer questions, and make sure you're learning the right way. I never felt rushed or intimidated--just encouraged to become a safer and more confident shooter. I walked away with far more knowledge, confidence, and practical skills than I expected. Review for Tap Rack Bang Rating: 5/5 Stars…read more If you are looking for CCW training that goes beyond just "checking a box," Tap Rack Bang is the gold standard. I recently completed my first class with them, and to say the bar has been set high for any future training would be an understatement. The Coaching The instruction from Ernie and Josh is truly superior. They strike the perfect balance between being encouraging and providing the kind of necessary, corrective criticism you need when handling a firearm. They don't just watch you shoot; they coach you through every movement. Their ability to spot a mechanical flaw and help you fix it in real-time is impressive. Professionalism & Environment CEO Ernie has built an incredible team. From start to finish, the entire staff was professional, helpful, and clearly dedicated to the craft. As a first-time student, I felt welcomed but also respected as a serious trainee. The Standard This class is designed to prepare you for the real world. They ask you to push yourself for perfection, which is exactly the mindset demanded by CCW criteria. They don't settle for "good enough," and they make sure you don't either. Final Verdict I strongly recommend this class to everyone, from absolute beginners to experienced shooters.
