The only reason why I visited this nail salon was because I was gifted a certificate for Christmas. I had a little trouble locating it because it's tucked away in the strip mall. When I got there I was seated in a pedicure chair right away. My tech was nice but very rough and not careful at all. I couldn't understand why she was rushing there weren't any waiting costumers. I had to tell her to be more gentle and that alone made me upset I came their. Fast forward to the manicure she still seemed to be in a rush, nicked me 3 times I was only aware of the first time because I was bleeding so much. Long story short stay away! Stay away! Overpriced and not worth the headache.

I have been coming to this salon for about 3 years. Years ago, the service was nice. I always get full sets. Recently, Nail techs have been complaining while doing my nails and have put VERY minimal gel on my nails. I get no chip over the full set, and my nails split after a few days due to no support from lack of acrylic . This could be very painful and unsanitary. Nail techs don't care. They just do your nails nice enough for you to walk out of the salon. If you pay $40 every two weeks for nails, they should look nice! They're getting more and more rude. I recommend them for basic no chip mani or a pedi. (No designs no exciting colors.) Not great customer service. My sister and are looking for a new salon.

Attention all nail biters: get a no-chip manicure. It'll put an end to your bad habit. Trust me. The nail polish sure as hell doesn't taste good. I made the mistake of putting my nail in my mouth, and wow. Gross. Never again. Plus, you won't want to ruin your nails after spending your hard earned money on your mani. I'm on a regularly scheduled mani/pedi break, but will be getting them done again soon. When they get too long, I'm tempted to bite, so may as well put a stop to that. Anyway, my parents have been long-time clients at First Spa. I had been going to another salon and wasn't keen on making a change. However, my mom lured me in with a birthday gift of a no-chip manicure and pedicure as a birthday present last April. After that, I became a regular, visiting First Spa regularly from April 2016 to December 2016. I intend to return once the weather warms up. My first visit was with my mom's manicurist, Lily. My mom swears by her and won't let anyone else touch her nails. My mom and I arrived around 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy. Their no-chip colors are on swatches on an island right when you walk in. You can place a color over your nail to see if it will work with your skin tone. I choose a dark green color, which Lily tested on my nail beforehand. Nothing more horrible than picking the wrong color and finding out halfway through your manicure! Lily helped me find a complimentary shade for my toes, a lighter shade of green, since they didn't have an exact match. Lily then led me to the pedicure area, which is at the back of the salon. They have massaging chairs and a TV you can watch. After the pedicure, I had a no-chip manicure. Lily did a great job and was very friendly. I had to get an acrylic on one nail because it broke off earlier that day. I wasn't charged anything for the one acrylic nail, which was nice. PRO TIP #1: If you are considering getting a no-chip manicure, do it. Just do it already. Yes, it costs more than the regular manicure ($30 v. $12), but the polish lasts longer. You will have to put your hand under UV light; so do keep that in mind. My no-chip manicures have lasted 3 weeks, easy. I've pushed it to four a few times as well. PRO TIP #2: Use the CND Shellac brand for your no-chip mani and the CND Vinylux for your pedi if you want an exact match. The Vinylux will cost an additional $3 because the polish stays on longer. I tried it on my toes once, and it stayed on for a while. The manicurist who removed the polish from my toes the following visit had a tough time getting them off, and it took a lot longer to get off than other brands. It'll cost you an extra $5 if you choose to use an OPI Infinite Shine 2 polish. Again, this is because it is supposed to last longer. I haven't tried that one, so I can't say for sure. PRO TIP #3: They can get very busy during the weekend, especially Saturday mornings. They officially open at 9:30, but if you want to be seen by a specific manicurist, you have to arrive earlier than that. Once, I arrived just before 9:30 and asked to be seen by Lily. I was told that the wait would be about an hour. I decided to be seen by someone else instead. Unlike my mom, I don't have a regular manicurist. This is mainly because I don't want to wait too long if the manicurist I prefer is working with another customer. Also, I believe all of them should be able to do my mani/pedi without issue. I've had a lot of them do my nails, and I haven't had a problem. The only weird thing I've experienced is that sometimes one manicurist will do my pedicure and pass me off to another for my manicure. It's not a big deal, but sometimes, I'd prefer to stay with the same person. One time I got sent to a manicurist who was a bit rough. I should have spoken up, but kept quiet. Overall, First Spa is a great place to get your nails done. The salon is big, open and airy, and there are plenty of stations to get your nails done. Like I said before, I fully plan on going back. Perhaps my mom will treat me to a mani/pedi this year for my birthday? *hint hint* *wink wink* Or, maybe my schedule will work out so that my parents and I can go together and make a thing out of it? We shall see.

If I could give this salon 0 stars I would. They absolutely fucking sucked. I got a removal and dipping powder for my nails and first off the lady did not know how to take my dipping powder off. She literally uses nail polish when your suppose to soak them. Then I told her I want dipping powder and she asked me probably 10 times if I wanted no chip. So it was terrible communication. I literally had to tell her how to put dipping powder on my nails. And a week in I had them done two already fell off my nails. Dipping powder is suppose to last about 3 weeks. Do not go here unless you want shitty nails.

This salon was it, my plan B. They were able to take me and my girlfriend in for two last minute pedicures and a manicure at the last minute. They were fast with doing me and my girlfriend's regular pedicure while simultaneously doing my girlfriend's gel manicure. Additionally, the interior of this salon was super clean and honestly really cute. There was a little wall waterfall in the back, it was brightly lit and they had a cooler with complimentary drinks. The whole aura of this place was calming. Unfortunately, I was in a time crunch so we didn't have time to enjoy all the amenities but in the short time that we were there, they did a great job. Prices are decent and I definitely think I will be going back to try other services. I look forward to coming back. Also, it's location is right next to a Pho place so I mean nails and then Pho-- sounds like the life to me! I definitely suggest coming here and trying their services. If it's anything, in the time frame that I was there, I received great customer service, even on short notice and the work they do is great as well.

I wanted just polish but thought they would be week after and I have some events coming up.. anyway.. I had CeeCee give me my service today.. I was skeptical but, I think this is the BEST gel application I've ever had! (And that's not easy to make the nail look smooth and not thick after fake nails). She did amazing. I was worried about the soak off and nail damage when they scraped. She didn't scrape. Nails felt strong even right before she put on gel. Best part!?! The lotion for the hand massage.... They keep it in the towel warmer! Sooooo nice! Think I found my new girl! :)

I had make an appointment for two pedicures and one gel manicure for my friend. I was told that the appointment would be at 1030. When the day came, my friend and I were running five minutes late so we called to let them know out of respect and if they couldn't take us, understand as well. Well when I called, I spoke to someone who said that our appointment was at 10 and not 1030. They also said they were with their 1030 appt now. I was shocked, I said that that was not my understanding and if we were already 30 mins late to an appointment which should have started at 10, a call would have been nice too. The lady on the other said nothing: no sorry, no "there must have a miscommunication"....nothing. The only thing she did suggest is that I can find another salon. So, with that being said, I told her to cancel the appointment, informed her that my friend and I would not come back to their establishment and rebooked with another nail salon in the area who took us in promptly, did a phenomenal job on our pedicures and my friends manicure and lastly, communicated efficiently and effectively. And while I get it, services like this have their bad days but it doesn't mean that their customer service should lack in the essence of treating their customer like decent human beings. I would say that maybe I could try this place again but nah, I don't think so. Next please.

Walk-ins are welcome, but I knew with it being a Friday afternoon it would be packed, so I called day of for a mani/pedi appointment and was able to get the time requested. Van took me right on time, as I entered. She gave me the options they have: dip, chip, no chip, acrylic tips, etc. and I went with no chip manicure/pedicure. Normally I don't care if my feet have no chip on them, I typically go regular chip, but it was for a wedding the next day. Van was incredibly attentive to detail and made the pedicure so relaxing. Nice hot towel, polish on the toes to end the pedicure treatment and it's time for the manicure. This is pretty hard to do on a licensed massage therapist and if I had more than two days off in a row, I would've gotten tips, as it's pretty hard to paint nails with no whites even showing as i came straight from my last shift. It totaled $90 and was totally worth it. Thanks Van! I'll be back when I have more time off to upgrade to tips. They do have tv's in there but with all the tools they use and during peak times, they're on mute with subtitles.
