I've never felt more humiliated by a car dealership in my life. I inquired about a vehicle I saw online, the woman who was talking with me on the phone (Margarita) stated she was transferring me over to sales manager and WOW. The sales manager must have picked up the phone without knowing and was actually talking Sh** about talking to me on the phone (I believe his name was Johnny). When I confronted him about hearing his conversation, he scoffed and just hung up the phone. I fully intended on buying a vehicle here due to me being a first responder in the area and wanting to give them my support. I understand the market is scarce right now but does that really give this dealer the right to treat people however they see fit? read more

Very good team of people working here! I came in last night to purchase a car and I was extremely pleased and impressed at the customer service provided by Jonathan Uhlman, Juan Contreras, and Henry Sanchez. They were all very down to earth, friendly, and of course professional. Hard working guys that deserve this great review. I will definitely be back again! read more

Our visit to 1st Kia yesterday was meant to be "just looking". We wound up driving away in a new Soul. There was no pressure. Only helpful and knowledgeable staff. From the moment we were greeted by Justin, who took us out for a test drive, to sitting down with Eddie to talk about pricing, we felt comfortable and assured. Henry, the finance manager, guided us through the process and answered all our questions. Thanks guys. read more

I understand once we buy car, that's whole another story for the dealer= want to sell car the most. Yes that's the most interest of course. It's business. That say my "buying" experience was great. In other words, we see the better part of their service. Wish I didn't have to go back and take care of some stuffs But after that, to deal w some stuffs, I got unbelievably rude person on the phone to start with. it was totally one of those typical arrogant attitude who even don't wanna get bothered answer customers questions but rather sigh and answer in very harsh way. It was dead obvious he doesn't wanna deal w. Me. Just for this whoever answered my call, his attitude, arrogance worth to lower 1 star or less. Bc it was seriously horrible "customer service" Or how to treat "customer". Unfortunate but the fact of any business that if out of 10, just 1 person doesn't give a xxxx how to have conversation with anybody who call that could potentially be customer, it hurts their business even the rest of 9 are so nice and awesome. As a matter of fact, the female crew I spoke after that horrible ones, she apologized and tried to help me out. I told her ur awesome but whoever the dude I spoke w b4 her Damaged enough. After all, it goes back to how to manage the crew/ their attitude, extra careful not let even that happens. Not an inch. If it's human involved in experience, (vs online shopping), & trying to make differences from it, they need to change the approach of how to deal w human/customer very carefully. I have horrible experiences w all dealers service all those years, never expect good experience anymore but this incident definitely made myself clear I don't wven wanna deal w service neither if the person who's not service shows that type of attitude already. Also need to update not to hide car's number plate w dealers logo on it like used to be til we get new registration/tag. I was stopped by police bc I wasn't showing both plate. But the back one was covered by paper w dealers logo design/ not the plate numbers. 30min waste of my time/schedule pushed back in busy day. If they follow new rules ruled recently, which I didn't know as customer, I didn't have that. due to this police stop/education, I started checking and now see most of new car having both side of plate having temporary printed paper plate, which is the right way to do, otherwise you'll get stopped by police. Possible get ticket. Now waiting for my registration color sticker after 2months passed... called dealer last week, I was told it'll be here by Friday. today is already Tuesday and I haven't received. As my car loan officer alerted, j had to call them following up again. Don't know why it keeps adding extra work on my end.. I was supposed to be all clear, no police pull over, perfect number plate w registration sticker on after 2months. Unfortunately that's not the case. I understand dmv could take forever but car loan officer and policeman also told me it usually sets asap and 2months is way too long not all set. (As u know those document on front window usually for 90days). At least I need proof that's still "in progress" if that's the case. Tried to get any type of proof from the dealer while I'm talking on phone, email screen shot to me bc I have no idea when they "email" me without me getting back to them. I never get call back from these ppl without Me make call to follow up: I was also told "person is with customer" or "not available"... then guess what, I get exact person when they transfer.. = did the previous person straight lie to me that person is not available? Tuesday 3pm... who's shopping at the dealer like the weekend? I never trust them saying "I'll call back ASAP" or "busy w customer" Yeah it might be true but also easily straight lie to avoid taking care of you. If they take care of u on top of the game, I won't get pull over by policeman. If they call back, take care of business in smart, fast, efficient way, it should be done or make customer happy by doing so. Instead, if they say "I'll call back" and never call back without U call them... if they don't listen to what u need but quick "guess" ur need but that's wrong. If they tell lie "person is not avail" but actually avail, how could u trust or Wanna business with? And if u pointed those thing to them, they never apologize, mean I take it as they're totally ok doing those to the customer. I'm extremely disappointed buy car from them. read more

I have NEVER left a review below 5 stars. I don't believe in being petty. But be warned about first Kia. The sales guy was nice at first then brought by mom and I to the manager to give us a price. He came in WAY over anyone we had gone to. My mom and I didn't have a ton of time and weren't ready to purchase a car today and the manager then loudly said "I don't know what's more important to them. Buying a car takes time" then the sales guy said how we were getting such a great deal at this outrageous price and that these seltos are very hard to find! LIE. He gave us a "discount" that he wrote on the paper was only available today. They said they haven't sold a car today and they want to sell one and that's why they are giving us such a cheap deal! Lol. I wonder why you haven't sold a car? We courteously called back to let them know we bought a seltos from KIA OF VALENCIA (great service, nice people, 10/10 recommend going there) and the "nice" sales guy said " glad I didn't hold my breath! Haha and you expect to get customers. Kia of Valencia gave us 3k off first kia's price and free all weather floor mats and first oil change. Go to Kia of Valencia and ask for Mitchell read more

Had a great experience at this car dealership. Felt comfortable and respected. All the reps seemed genuine and not like your typical sketchy salesmen. In particular, Darcel was excellent. He spent the time to talk the leasing vs buying scenarios over with me. Since this was my very first new car it was important for me to feel like I was getting the best deal with a great warranty from a respected car dealership. Highly recommend this place and Darcel if you're in the market for a new or pre owned Kia! read more

I had been looking at cars for a few months now, and the Kia Forte GT caught my attention. I visited other dealerships that were not the best. Then I came across First Kia of Simi Valley where I was greeted by Joshua, who's not only an amazing salesperson but an amazing human being. He helped us so much with our complicated situation, gave us the car we wanted, at an incredible price. He did all the heavy lifting in this entire process. I took my Kia Sorrento to the service center due to what I thought was my wheel hub bearings. It turns out my Sorrento needed a service recall done and Jimmy handled our service with such professionalism and friendliness. Service like Jimmy's is hard to come by presently, and I am extremely grateful to Jimmy for listening to my needs as a customer, as a mom and consumer. Best Place to bring your car for service, let me tell you I am so glad I bought my car from here at First Kia not only I had a great deal I had very good experience painless purchase. And I bin back for service three times and I am very pleased there service department is very friendly and prompt didn't waist my time this time my service writer was Sang he seams to be very knowledgeable about the cars, I actually went there for oil change but he remind me that I have over 10k on my car and Time for me to rotted my tires which I didn't know so I am glad I did it save me from ruining my tires. First of all, I was very grateful for the technician and service team that worked on my car to diagnose and fix a difficult to describe noise coming from the engine area. But more importantly, what set First Kia above the rest, was the customer service. I felt the service department did an excellent job at listening to my concerns, addressing my questions and following through with offers to update me in a timely manner. I think my service advisor Jimmy Maguglin did a phenomenal job at keeping me informed. He followed through like clockwork with updates and I could always get a hold of someone when I called in. Jimmy's professionalism showed through in the way he patiently heard out all my concerns and offered rationales in a way that made sense, explaining things in a way I could understand even though I'm completely car illiterate. I also never felt like he was rushing me and just felt like I was treated fairly and as a priority. In the end, my car issue is resolved and the experience with First Kia was so positive, I would definitely recommend them. read more

They sold me car that they said was in good condition. I believed them. It has glazed rotors all the way around and really warn break pada going to have to pay $800 to fix. The bumper fell off and started flapping while i was driving on the freeway not even a month after purchase. And they told me i would get a free oil change and they set a date to do it. Now they are trying to charge me. Dont go here and especially dont go to Mark Brody he will overcharge and lie to you. read more

@@@@@ - I recently moved and thought I was finally clear of 1st Kia and yesterday I received yet another letter from 1st Kia of Simi Valley with my name and NEW address asking to buy my car that I STILL don't have anymore since it stopped working in 2014 at 64,000 miles one day before the warranty expired but wasn't covered because I missed changing the timing belt at 60,000 miles. Service is pretty good here. I would comment however, that the employees need to be a little more welcoming to the customers they serve. All comes down to customer service in a simple "hello", "good morning", etc. That goes a long way in making you feel welcome. This is the fault of management in providing poor training and oversight. Overall, I did not feel welcome and will look elsewhere for both service and the upcoming purchase of another car. This is what happens when first impressions are bad impressions. read more

I brought my 2015 Kia Rio EZ that I bought in October 2019 for its 45,000 mile service appointment. This location was the closest certified Kia service department from where I live, so it was about a 30 minute drive. Upon arriving, I was greeted by service tech Robin who was very nice and friendly. She gave me an ETA on when my car would be done, advised me she would text me throughout the appointment with updates and let me know what was in the surrounding area within walking distance. I chose to wait in the customer lounge that looks a little rough around the edges on the outside, but on the inside was your basic amenities at most car service locations - complimentary donuts, bottle water and coffee. They also had a big TV playing and complimentary WiFi. I brought my car in at 10:45 AM and was on my way by 12:30 PM. I was one of two other customers there that I could see so the timeframe to change the oil and do a multi-point inspection seemed a bit long. They did wash my car for free, which was a nice perk. The recommendations they made for additional services are the reason for the one star deduction. They said I needed to replace my battery, which it very well could need to be replaced, but to quote a battery replacement for over $300 is ridiculous. And my center console lid needed to be replaced and I found the lid I needed from an authentic Kia parts provider for $100 and was quoted over $200 from Kia Simi. I understand marking up prices to make a profit, but the quoted were a bit extreme. I would and will bring my Kia back to this location because the customer service was on point, but the pricing I will watch closely and always get a second opinion on before agreeing to anything. read more

Do NOT go here for service or warranty repairs! I had a loud noise in my 2016 Kia Optima Hybrid, which got louder as I drove ... and even louder when I turned to the left. My research and instincts told me it was a wheel bearing. But when I brought it by for the service manager's (Guy Ankeny) opinion, he basically said, "Wheel bearings simply don't go out on these cars." Followed by, "You've been reading too much on the internet." He said he's 100% confident it's "nothing catastrophic," and suggested I have the alignment checked next time I come in for an oil change (in approx. 2k more miles). Today, one week later, the noise was so bad I brought it to my tire shop for an alignment (and second opinion). They said it's NOT the alignment, but the wheel bearing is about to go and needs replacing ASAP. We all know what happens when a bearing goes bad ... the wheel seizes and it becomes "catastrophic." Now waiting for a call back from Kirby Kia in Ventura to see what they can do to actually help me instead of dismissing my concern. Shame on you, First Kia. This could have been a REALLY bad ending. read more

SONNY! This one is for you! Yesterday we had a WONDERFUL experience at 1st Nissan/Honda/Kia (I know they are all connected so I wanted to leave a review at each). We had the absolute pleasure of having Sonny as our salesman. Sonny was so great. He truly was a gem! We were looking for a car in a specific budget and he helped us out! Typically, shopping for a new car isn't always as fun...you sometimes can get terrible salesmen who only cares to come up on an extra dollar, maybe cheat you on the way, pressure you....not Sonny! Sonny was one of the most REAL and HUMBLE men out there in the car business. We honestly are so grateful to have met him yesterday. Even the Manager was such a great guy also!! They really made us feel like family. Thats whats important. Anyway, if you want someone who cares about what you want and won't pressure you (RESPECT) I highly recommend contacting him. Just left this dealership and Noah (he didn't have a name tag but said that that was his name- blue eyes, blonde hair) was so rude and condescending. First of all, they close at 7 on Sundays so if you're driving by at 6pm, do not even go in. He right away told us (6:15) that they are about to close and would love to set up an appointment for another time. We knew specifically what we wanted to look at so it would just be down to talking numbers to compare deals (we wanted a pilot but wanted to explore all options so checked our Kia for deals)- he obviously didn't care for or need. Once we told him the lease deals we found online, he started his rude tone saying the deals on Kia's website aren't necessarily their deals. The thing is, when we were looking up inventory on Kia's website, it led us to Simi's dealership so we went there expecting to get the right treatment. He tried to turn on his computer and said "show me" as if we had anything to prove to him. His job is to sell cars and provide good customer service. He lost a sale and I can't believe that this is the kind of service he provides. We had previously gone to the Valencia dealership but the lady that helped us wasn't too knowledgeable on the cars and didn't have the one we were looking for. She however, was nice and helpful and aware that the deals advertised online is what brings customers in. Noah, I hope you have a back up plan for your career. Kia management- i hope you realize you are losing out on sales because of employees like Noah. Update hours later- just leased a third car from Keyes in Woodland Hills and I can't believe we even considered looking elsewhere- go there! Great experience from start to finish- also, they close at 9 but didn't mind how late they'd have to stay as long as we walked away with a car and deal we love! Oh and their website actually advertises deals they want to offer:) best of all- Noah doesn't work there :) read more

This dealership was a great experience for my first ever time buying my own car. I walked in saying how much my budget was and Mark Brody was our sales person who was very nice and didn't push me towards something out of my budget! He made sure to show me what was in my price range and went for a few test drives. Once we were sitting down looking at financing and the price wasn't right and I was ready to walk away they worked with me and me got a price I can handle! I have a used Nissan Note and its in great condition and not a lot of miles. I'm driving in and out of the Simi Valley, San Fernando and Los Angeles area. I needed a reliable car and I found it!
