I had to take my Civic in due to air conditioning not working properly. I thought it was going to be under warranty, however, it turns out I missed it by about a month. Don, the Service Manager, said he would contact Honda to see if they could help me out for "good will." 3 days later they contacted me to say this was denied. I was disappointed but had to get the repair and at least Don tried for me. I appreciated that. Don LeClercq was my Service Advisor. He was very kind, and went out of his way to properly assist me. He was terrific and deserves kudos!! Super professional and nice guy to deal with at Service. Lastly, I want to give recognition to a man named Ricardo. Another super guy from Honda. He picked me up when my car was finished. Thanks Honda.....All of you are due an EXTRA DAY OFF.....haha on me. read more

I'll never buy a car from here again. I bought a certified pre-owned Honda and shortly after discovered two issues, albeit minor, but exactly the kind of thing that should've been caught during the "rigorous" CPO inspection. When I contacted my salesman, Nihad, he just told me to make an appointment with service. That's where the real problem started. Service (dealing with Ryan who was pretty rude to be honest) knew nothing about what sales had promised and treated me like a random walk-in needing a repair, not someone with a documented CPO issue. Each time, I had to make the case that I shouldn't be charged since it was clearly missed at inspection, then chase down the sales manager to back me up which, to his credit, he did. This same disconnect showed up with the two free oil changes sales said came with the car. Ryan would act like he'd never heard of it and ask for my salesperson's name to "follow up." When I went to book the second one, I got the same runaround, so I called the GM, Eric, to complain. He told me the free oil changes had a time limit, something Nihad never mentioned and that I doubt is even real. That was it for me. I skipped the second oil change and started going to my regular mechanic instead. It's a shame, since I like Hondas and First Honda is right down the street, but a dealership where inspections on CPO vehicles is so lax, sales and service don't communicate, and where service is flat-out rude, isn't worth the convenience. I'll be shopping elsewhere from now on. read more

We stopped to check out the black CRV EXL but no one approached us. Decided to walk in front of the office building and the salesmen just looked at us and once again, no one approached us so we decided to leave. A week after, I decided to inform them on their website that I am interested in the black CRV. I provided them my email address as well as my phone numbe. Received no email nor voicemails for 3 days. When I finally got the call, it was too late. I already went to Ocean Honda in Ventura and their salesman approached us the minute we parked in their lot. Luckily, they were having a 1.99 percent interest rate on used cars! So I got one! Yes! read more

I was in the market for a new everyday car and after looking online at a few dealerships. I reached out to First Honda about a 2024 Civic they had listed. I got an immediate response from Jaylen C. He walked me through over the phone. Answered any questions I had. And set up an appointment with me to come in and check it out in person. It was everything the ad described and more. Amazing. Clean. Reliable. Perfect service record. My wife and I couldn't be happier. Thank you First Team. And big thank you to Jaylen that made sure the car was amazing and perfectly washed and clean before taking delivery. We love our new addition read more

From The moment we stepped foot on the lot, it was a pleasant experience. My son and I went there expecting to look around and check out other car lots. By the time we met Anthony and Melanie, we knew we were at the right place. They helped us get through the process by showing us different cars. Letting us know what add ons were available. No pushy sales tactics at all! When we decided what car we wanted, we got to meet Ozzy from financing. Ozzy did all he could to get us the best deal and get approved with a bank. We can't be any more happy with my son's purchase and experience. Thank you First Honda Simi Valley. I will be speaking highly of you guys and sending people over there. Shiela and Malachi read more

We had a Very Positive experience at First Honda, getting insurance related repairs. Customer Service Professional John Flanagan went the extra mile in keeping me updated and contacting the insurance company to help me get a supplemental adjustment: The work came in at the estimated price in a timely manner. Kudos to the Entire First Honda team. It's always nice to be treated like a Valued Customer! Highly Recommend. read more

I just want to share a little something about this dealership. When I went to go purchase my car 7 years ago, they were very nice and friendly to me and I got a pretty good deal. The guy who actually negotiated the deal with me was trying to be a little bit of a d*ck which I didn't appreciate but we got the deal done. Now what I really want to talk about is the service. Overall the car has been great with very little issues. I've brought my car in for standard service over the years, each time to this dealership and it's been nothing short of wonderful service. Always on time and the service is fast. Just recently I brought my car in for a A/c issue, they took care of it right away and at no charge. I honestly can't say enough good things about John and Ryan who have pretty much always been one of my service advisors each time I'm here. I highly recommend buying your vehicle from this location if nothing else for the wonderful service department they have here. I live in Westlake Village and while I have a Honda by me I drive all the way to Simi just so I can get my service done at First Honda, because they are that good. I fully trust this location and feel confident whenever I bring my vehicle in that they are being honest and fair. Thank you for everything First Honda. read more

went to get my car serviced twice now and had a horrible experience with Ryan L. He is rude with his customers and thinks it's okay to curse back at people when he is "frustrated". both times he gave attitude to either myself or my husband telling us the customer "well what do you want me to do" with an upset face telling me that I'm wrong and I should take my car elsewhere. I've been here plenty of times without any problems before this guy and now I don't think I ever want to take my car here again. absolutely HORRIBLE, however, Don the service manager is great!!! super helpful & knowledgable. read more

As it turns out you don't always get the best deal at the biggest dealership. I think in today's market you're better off going with a smaller one. We got quotes from some of the biggest that do the most volume and they really didn't want to work with us. I think they just move so many cars they don't really care that much. First Honda gave us the best deal far and away and Jaylen and the rest of the staff were amazing. Easy 5 stars. I will recommend to anyone looking for a Honda. read more

With the gas prices nowadays and having kids with activities for pick up & drop offs. As a busy mom I definitely needed an efficient vehicle so I was looking online for a hybrid. I did an online inquiry at Toyota and I saw a great price on a RAV 4. Went there and they were giving me a different price from what I specifically asked for, they said it's basically all hybrids are hot & so the prices goes up, so basically I had to buy it coz the cars don't stay long at the lot for long & prices will go up again...hmm, sorry but being deceptive is not for me & I walked out. I did the online inquiry with First Honda & John Kolb answered me. He went above and beyond my inquiry on the phone such as letting me know the out the door price. When I went the next day the hybrid I wanted was sold but they were trying to get the same one I wanted somewhere else so in the meantime I drove a higher up hybrid....then they gave me that vehicle for the same price! SOLD. I really appreciate John for doing that and being transparent with me..also no pressure I felt when I was dealing with him or anyone at First Honda! Thank you, I'm very pleased with all of you at First Honda! read more

I have taken my cars for service many years to 1st Honda. Every service agent is friendly, reliable and efficient. First and foremost they are honest! A shoutout to Ryan and John and a big thank you to Don who runs the service department. On a side note. I bring my Golden Retriever with me who is very scared of getting in the car. Don pays close attention to Archie and he calms down. I was there the other day . Archie wouldn't leave the lobby area knowing he had to get in the car.He put the brakes on until he saw Don outside the door. He then was happy to go. I handed the leash to him . He walked him to the car and Archie jumped in the car. . Thank you for great personal , caring service above and beyond . read more

We had a recall and Technical Service Bulletin on our 10-year-old Civic We had never used First Honda but wanted to give them a try after good reports from friends. The service advisors (both named Ryan) were very friendly and explained everything. The work was completed as promised and there were no surprises. They washed the car before we picked it up. The maintenance items they suggested for the future were already on our radar. The suggestions came with a full breakdown of the cost to do the work. I just bought a car from First Honda Simi Valley with the assistance of their salesman John Kolb. Everything about the process went smoothly and they addressed every concern and question I had regarding financing, the car, and the process. They were also very straight up about what they could or could not do financially with all the amounts and rates involved and even showed me the documents to verify the information which I greatly appreciated. I haven't had many great experiences at a dealership but if you're looking for a helpful and honest salesman, I'd ask for John. read more

I've been leasing Hondas for over 15 years. The last 3 leases I've tried to keep my money and purchasing local. Shop local right? Impossible with First Honda Simi. They just don't like selling cars apparently. It's insane the difference in monthly payments for the same vehicle, like I said they don't like selling cars and are so tight - they're impossible to work with. They have this reputation with their he community and even other dealerships. JOHAN is rude and thinks I'm stupid. Treated my husband differently years ago but I'm a woman so I'm sure that's why. My car is worth $31,000 on the low end up to $36,000 and I own 27,000. 2022 with 12,000 miles in excellent condition on top of it. Johan is trying to tell me I have no equity in my car and also giving me price on a car thousand more than what's listed right on the website. Insulting !!! Treating me like I'm stupid and don't know what I'm doing leasing a car- or the value of what I have! He started with no equity $3000 down $575 a month and now he emailed me $3500 down for $595 a month. What a freaking joke! It just keeps getting worse I WILL NEVER SHOP SIMI. Treating people with deceptive practices, lying, scamming and treating women like they're stupid and don't know how to lease a car. Insulting!! UPDATE - went to Woodland Hills Honda. Got a beautiful EX-L for $195 less per month and the same money down! And ended up with $4000 in equity from my old Honda Never again will I waste my time attempting Simi. I've leased for over 18 years this is my 6th lease and Simi continues to prove they don't want my business read more

This was my first experience here. I bought a used Odyssey from another dealership that had some noises that didn't sound right after driving it for a few weeks. I took it in to First Honda to get it checked out. I explained the situation as best as I could to the service department. I couldn't pinpoint the problem or location of the noises, and I've had my concerns brushed off by mechanics in the past since I'm not car savvy, so I had mixed expectations. Ryan was my service coordinator and gave me a full explanation of what the tech found, the work he did, and some background information about what had probably happened. He took the time to answer all my questions. I was so grateful that it was a simple fix but that they went above and beyond to really diagnose what happened, all for a reasonable price. I will recommend First Honda to anyone. Thank you guys! read more

car shopping can be stressful most times, but my experience here changed everything. I highly recommend working with jose ventura! he really cares about people and made the experience so comfortable. i've been to other dealerships and you can feel the difference when someone is actually looking out for you and wants to genuinely help, verses someone who's just trying to get a sale. the whole team here at first honda makes you feel like family im happy we found jose and we're able to get a great deal! i'll recommend them to anyone who needs a new car! read more

Awesome service department. Was in and out in one day. Great experience. Thank you First Honda

Wonderful service experience at First Honda. I usually bring my car to Honda Oxnard or Thousand Oaks however decided to try out Simi on a whim. I am glad I did as the service was great at this location. Ryan, the service advisor was very friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to making sure my car was fixed as promised. He was very honest and not once did I feel as know he was trying to upsell me on anything. I will definitely bring my car back for any future services. read more

Rude and untrustworthy. On top of being rude when we come in for service, or sales. They also scammed my wife by overcharging her for a maintenance package. They gave her a brochure stating it was going to cover tire rotations, and fluid changes. But, once we come in for service, they tell us it only covers oil changes. We paid $1,076 for the package, which if it only covers oil changes, means we're paying around $145 per oil change by purchasing the contact. THEY ONLY CHARGE $89.95 FOR AN OIL CHANGE! So by buying a maintenance plan from them you get to over pay for your service. There are so many Honda dealerships in east drive from this location, GO TO ANY OTHER HONDA DEALERSHIP! read more

Today, I went in for an appointment I scheduled at 8:15 a.m. for a recall on my 2023 Civic Hatchback. I was kindly greeted by the entire service department and followed their directions to check in, which led me to John. John got us all checked in, and mind you, it was pretty busy. We had a nice conversation, and he even complimented the dash cam I have in my vehicle. He explained to my girlfriend and me that the service would take a while and gave us a time frame of 2-3 p.m. We were already okay with this timeframe; however, John recognized that we would be waiting at the dealership rather than getting a ride to go somewhere else to kill time. He then made it his priority to try to get us out of there ASAP--and that is exactly what he did. He let the technicians know about our situation and, no kidding, got us out by 10 a.m. I was very appreciative, and when we went to retrieve my vehicle, he was super nice, wished us a great day, and everything you'd hope for. 10/10 service from John and the service department team. I will for sure make this my home dealership, and that's saying a lot because I don't usually like going to dealerships for my car! Thank you guys!! read more

Johan is a liar and a thief. Tried to tell me I had no equity in my car and they would lose money on my deal. Yet I went to Woodland Hills Honda and got $6000 in equity. Edit: As a 55 year old man I really really value customer service. Sometimes there's a thought that old men are grumpy. I would say that isn't true. We just know what we want and don't want any BS. Well after my review the Service Manager Don called me to apologize. He was extremely apologetic and stated that he was working on fixing any issues. You know what? I believe him. He didn't have to call me. He didn't have to explain himself. I'm one person only and it could have been easy to just ignore me. He didn't. I think the owner needs to recognize Don for his commitment to the integrity of First Honda of Simi Valley. It matters to him how his customers feel. To be fair before he called me I spoke to Frank my main person for my car and another gentleman who relayed the message to Frank and Frank promptly called me back and answered all my questions. It's a good team First Honda has. They look out for each other. Serious you can't go wrong coming here for all your Honda needs. The place is committed to its customers and that is honestly hard to find nowadays. First Honda I'll be back for all my service needs on my Honda! read more

Years ago, I had problems with this place. I did not trust them and I no longer brought my car to see them several years ago. I had to go back for something just for the dealership and into my surprise they had changed a lot. I understand that they might be a little more expensive than other places for oil changes and things but now they are actually looking at my vehicle and if there's nothing wrong with it, they will tell me if there's nothing wrong and they've done that many times now I now trust them and I will take my car to them from now read more

This review goes towards the Service Manager at First Honda. I came from driving a Lexus for the better part of 9+ years. Decided to trade in my last Lexus for a 24' Civic to save on gas. Brought my car in to service dept to possibly get assistance on a possible bad installation on a part. Their D-bag of a sales manager said out loud "TAKE IT TO THE DEALER YOU BOUGHT IT". Mind you, I bought the vehicle new at a different Honda dealer but I am allowed to bring the vehicle to ANY Honda. To whoever owns this dealership, HIRE A BETTER SERVICE MANAGER. read more

I saw a 2023 Honda Odyssey elite on their website. I called and made an appointment to see it. Arrived the following day. Met with a sales person I spoke to over the phone. Young guy, very pleasant. We test drove the car and decided to go ahead with purchase. My wife and I made an offer to which the sales person went to the manager, Dean, for approval. The sales person came back and said the manager is not willing to budge from the asking price. Just a few moments later, Dean, comes strolling up to us and says he's absolutely not budging one dollar off the asking price. I was shocked. That's not how you do business. At least you negotiate a little. After all, it's a used vehicle that has been on their lot for eight months. It Obviously wasn't selling. He said they already discounted it $8000 adding it was previously $44,000 and they just lowered the price. For a 2023 with 32,000 miles on it???? Everywhere else the same car was going for about $36,000. No wonder it wasn't moving. It was priced way too high in the first place. Anyway, he continued to say he would rather take it to auction than give us one dollar off. So let's make this make sense. He'd rather take it to an auction where he will get thousands lower than to negotiate with me for a few hundred off? We were willing to purchase the vehicle, but with his pompous attitude, we walked out. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this dealership. Not willing to negotiate at all. By the way, if hey knew we were coming to look at the car. At least have it washed and presentable. It has an inch of dust on it. Next day went to Honda of Van Nuys. Purchased a new car there. What a different experience there! They treat you with respect and actually try to make a deal. read more

Every time I bring my car in for service--whether it's an oil change or regular maintenance--John is by far the most helpful service advisor I've worked with. Recently, my vehicle became inoperable due to a rodent infestation that damaged the fuel tank. The car had to be towed in for repairs, and throughout the entire process, John kept me updated. You'd think car salespeople would be eager to sell cars, but that was clearly not the case with Albert at Simi Honda. After texting back and forth, we agreed on an appointment time for this afternoon. I clearly communicated my arrival time and repeatedly asked for confirmation that the vehicle I was interested in was still available on the lot. After my third unanswered text, I should have trusted my instincts and canceled the appointment. Unfortunately, I arrived at the dealership only to find that the vehicle was no longer available. Albert, this experience was beyond disappointing. You embody everything negative about car salespeople--poor communication and a lack of respect for your customers' time. Taking my business elsewhere was an easy decision, but I'm writing this review to ensure that potential buyers are aware of shady practices like yours and can avoid wasting their time. Fellow Yelpers, consider this a heads-up to steer clear of Albert at Simi Honda and save yourself the headache. You're welcome! read more
