I brought my mom's car to this dealership for a recall service related to the windshield wiper motor. During the visit, she also had new windshield wiper blades installed. About a week later, my mom noticed a crack roughly a foot long directly underneath the windshield wiper. The wiper had to be lifted to even see the crack in the windshield. I contacted the service manager and brought the car in person for him to inspect the damage. Unfortunately, he dismissed our concerns and stated it was impossible for the dealership to have caused the crack. This response was disappointing and felt dismissive. We are certain the crack was not there before the service because our service advisor, Jessica, inspected the area around the windshield wipers at that time. Given this and the crack's exact location directly underneath the windshield wiper, there is no other way this damage could have happened except during the recent visit. I want to take a moment to share a very positive experience with the Simi Valley Chevy service department, especially after a frustrating situation at Rydell Chevrolet Northridge. After being told by Rydell that my front brake pads were dangerously low and needed immediate replacement, I decided to come here for a second opinion -- and I'm so glad I did. To be honest, I did have some issue with them that would've been much more great if it was taken care of the first time I visited after I noticed the issue but Anthony Christmas, the GM was able to help me professionally the second time I came in with the same concern. Going back to the brake pad issue -- from the moment I arrived, the team at Simi Valley Chevy was professional, transparent, and genuinely caring. I don't recall the technician's name who lifted my car up, but David Winter, Anthony Christmas, and Joe from the service department were all absolutely fantastic to work with. The technian actually took the time to show me my brake pads on the lift, and service manager David throughly explained how to measure them, and confirmed that I still had over 6mm of life left -- meaning no replacement was needed yet. There was no pressure, no scare tactics, and no attempt to upsell unnecessary work. Just honest, straightforward service which I really really appreciate as a working mom with kids with schedules that can get busy. On top of that, they provided an estimate for when the service will eventually be due -- at a much more reasonable price than what I was originally quoted at Rydell. The entire visit was smooth and handled with complete integrity. It's rare these days to find a dealership that values honesty and customer trust over making a quick sale, but Simi Valley Chevy truly stands out. I'll definitely be bringing all of my future service needs here -- and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a team that treats you like family and does things the right way. Do not buy a used car from this dealership. First, they tried to add almost $4,000 in extra accessory charges on top of the advertised price. Before driving over 80 miles to the dealership, I specifically called ahead and asked whether there were any added packages or accessories. The salesperson clearly told me over the phone that there were no add-ons and that the final price would just be the online price plus tax and document fees. After I arrived, suddenly there were thousands of dollars in extra charges for random accessories and packages. The manager and in-person salesperson then claimed they were not the person who answered the phone yesterday and said they "didn't know anything about it." Luckily, I still have the call record on my phone. Second, during the test drive, the AC was obviously not working properly. The air coming out was not cold at all. Instead of admitting there was a problem, the salesperson tried to say that because the vehicle is large, it "just cools down slowly." That explanation made absolutely no sense. We finally compared it to another identical vehicle next to it, and only then did the salesperson reluctantly admit they should have the mechanic inspect it again. Very disappointing experience overall. Misleading pricing and refusing to acknowledge obvious vehicle issues wasted a huge amount of our time. read more

He was also told that if I was not able to get my deal just to let me know, so I wouldn't waste his time. AAA+++ Parts department, Monty (if i recall correctly) is the best, i had phoned on saturday to inquire of a vacuum pump. When i arrived he right away had his hand on the part, the price was fantastic being that i had with it the confidence of knowing that i procured it from an actual GM dealer and i had no worries about variants or compatability. Furthermore Monty was straight forward and he evokes a genuine sense of integrity, trustworthy and keen understanding of communication cultivating customer loyalty. I say all of this as i had my vehicle diagnosed at another dealership and it seemed it had their own ideas about what builds good current and continued bussines relations. 2019 suburban, 40k miles extended warranty. One day all the electric systems failed. An endless list on the dash panel. All instruments stopped working. We bring it in and they say it just needed to be reprogrammed for some reason. $375 because it's not covered. And it has never happened before but it can happen again at any point in time. Told me there is nothing I can do about it and I should be happy that it's only $375. Literally 100k vehicle they sold me, never once did they mention this was part of owning it. They will pull the motor and trans to fix oil leaks that never stop or replace a tv screen that only works half way open but they don't reboot a computer system. Got it. If I have the opportunity for a full refund on this vehicle I would take it. read more

We agreed on numbers for a car they said they could dealer trade for -- they took my down payment and ran my credit -- only to tell me the next day that the car was sold. I ended up wasting two extra days, and even had to go down to the dealership myself just to help them locate another vehicle. When they finally found one, it wasn't even my first or second choice. After I agreed to move forward with that color, they told me they'd let me know the following day if it was actually available. Why present an option if you're not even sure it's available? Years ago, I used to manage this store under its previous owners. My first experience with the dealership began when I called to inquire about a used car they had listed. Since the dealership was far away, I wanted to confirm the deal was worthwhile, so I asked for the total out-the-door (OTD) price. The total included a $2,400 aftermarket alarm system, which I immediately said I didn't want. However, I was told they couldn't remove it, but they could offer it to me at their "cost" of $1,200. I want to warn anyone reading this: don't fall for this kind of tactic. No alarm system is worth anywhere near $2,400. To put it into perspective, the car I was considering was priced at $10,000, meaning the alarm would have been 25% of the car's value. Always be cautious and question charges like these. read more

I recently visited the Simi Valley Chevy dealership with the intention of negotiating a vehicle. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, we waited for approximately 20 minutes without any assistance from a sales representative. As we were about to leave, someone finally approached us, but by then, we had already decided to leave due to the lack of attention and responsiveness. This experience did not meet my expectations for customer service. On the second occasion, we had the opportunity to work with a c*cky salesman named Jose A., and unfortunately, our experience was less than satisfactory. We decided to purchase the vehicle on the spot with a cash payment, contingent upon the removal of the dealership's tracking system, Avis. Despite this request, Jose repeatedly stated that the dealership could not remove this added option. Upon reviewing the vehicle, however, the sticker clearly indicated that the dealership could remove it at the customer's request. Jose continued to insist that the removal was not possible, and further stated that he would not negotiate the price (soley for the systems removal), citing the removal of the plate frame as a potential loss of advertising for the dealership ("first thing you're going to do once you're off the lot is remove the plate frame. That's one less customer for us." -- Jose). His demeanor was very unprofessional, and I found his approach to be both rude and dismissive. Additionally, he seemed to lack basic negotiation skills and made several inappropriate comments, including bashful remarks about previous LATINO customers and his manager. On multiple occasions, he referred to his manager in a disrespectful manner, calling him a "cul3r0." Furthermore, I was shocked by a rude, sexual comment he made about me to my significant other. Based on my experience, I would advise avoiding this salesman, JOSE AYALA, at all costs and suggest working with another representative at the dealership or going directly to his manager. Several days later, a sales representative named Rachel reached out, assuming I had not yet been contacted by anyone at the dealership. I informed her that, due to my previous in person experience with a sales representative, I would only be willing to talk to the general manager should I decide to move forward with the vehicle purchase. Shortly afterward, someone named Richard contacted me to ask about our experience and who was involved. I shared our dissatisfaction, highlighting unprofessional and inappropriate comments made by Jose. Despite being fully informed of the situation, no effort has been made to address or resolve the issue. Based on this experience, I will advise others to avoid this dealership. read more

I have been eyeing on the bolt euv LT for few weeks by now. One of the dealer that I contacted me is Simi valley chevy. On 4/3 they contacted me telling me one of the LT has arrived, as you can see in the picture, they have a $2995 markup, i asked if they are willing to remove the markup, which they reply "i have like 100 ppl on the waitlist so no we won't be removing the markup" I say thank but I will pass due to budget issue. Fast toward to today(4/5). A salesman named Christian texted and call me, this time they say price is 32k but "can make me a deal" even after i told him i will be driving 60 miles and hope that he cam tell me what the deal is" which require me to show up to discuss. I figure it isnt going to be anything good, but it never hurt to go, so I drove 60 miles to simi valley chevy. When I arrived at the dealer, i walked into the building and a red ahirt guy named "Tony" greet me, I told him that someone named Christian contacted me regarding the bolt euv, first thing spit out from his mouth was "the car was pre-sold" already. So....they contact me to check out the car when the car is pre-sold already? I questioned him why they contact me when the car is pre-sold already. Tony got mad and just said "the car is sold, goodbye." Eventually the sales manager came out and apologize, try to divert our questions by asking us like if i want to pay cash or finance etc....I know this is probably not going to end well but I just play along, test drive the cars and ask for loan options. When the manager came back with the offer paper. They add the 3k markup, a 5k extended wareanty, a 2.5k avas security system, ending in 42k after tax. This is a clear aign that they have no intention of making this sales(probably because they presold the car already)!? I asked about the 2.5k avas system and they said it is installed already and cannot be taken off, which nowhere does it even say on their web site now the window sticker. A shady forced addon, and when I confront the manager about their dishonest practice because its not showing on the site listing, window sticker, it wasnt even mentioned when Chriatian called me(he said car price was 32k). This is definitely the worst I've had. First they contact me to check out a car that's already pre sold, they also try to force add on thats not mention in the listing nor the window aticker. A complete shady business and must avoid. read more

For the majority of that time, we've gone to other nearby Chevy dealers and service centers because of a bad experience many many years ago... not anymore! We will now be going to Simi Chevy exclusively. My car battery died and I needed it replaced ASAP. It was late on Valentine's Day and another Chevy dealer told me to bring it and they'd do it on the spot. After driving to the next town over, they informed me that the battery was out of stock and they wanted to charge me an obscene amount. I called Simi Chevrolet out of desperation. Eddie, a real angel, answered and told me to bring it right away. They were closing in 30 minutes. I expected them to tell me to leave it there till the next day... he had someone change it on the spot while I was waiting in a matter of minutes. Then, he told the price... exactly HALF the price of the other Chevy dealer!! Good honest people. Jessica, another awesome employee at the service desk, came by to tell me how to redeem an ADDITIONAL rebate on the battery. Not only did they save me hundreds of dollars, they also repaired my car in record time. I was so grateful I could have cried on the spot!! They refused our appointment and said they simply just didn't want to help us since it's Friday... My experience with Simi Valley Chevrolet was nothing short of infuriating, and I feel compelled to warn others before they make the mistake of doing business with this dealership. My son was leasing his first car and the car of his dreams was found at Simi Valley Chevrolet. The ONLY pleasant experience with this dealership was with Gabe, the salesman. While this is a long and complicated story, I can sum-up with the following: We had issues with the vehicle and needed to elevate the issue with the Store Manager (Idan). One would think that the Store Manager would be set the example for the greater team of employees, and understand how to take care of a customer (particularly, a customer who is being more than reasonable). We needed help to resolve the issues and Idan was the person to get this done. However, from the start, Idan's customer service was horrific- rude, dismissive, combative, and shockingly unprofessional. He had no regard for basic courtesy. Not only did he lie repeatedly, he and his colleague, John Butterworth (another manager), also hung up on phone calls when we tried to follow up on very reasonable questions. He hung up mid-conversation rather than owning up to the mistakes and issues we were trying to resolve. Sadly, his staff also saw his behavior and started acting similarly. Clearly Idan was trying to avoid us, and told the rest of the staff to follow-suit. Worse yet, rather than working toward a solution, the staff seemed more interested in arguing with us, as if we were the problem for holding them accountable for what they had promised. Their tone was combative and completely devoid of the respect and transparency that any decent dealership should provide. This isn't just a bad experience, this is the type of behavior that makes it clear that this team lacks professionalism, integrity, and basic customer service skills. Do yourself a favor: steer clear of Simi Valley Chevrolet. I firmly do not recommend subjecting yourself to this group of people. If you're in the market for a Chevy, take your business elsewhere- there are several dealerships in the area who, I'm certain, understand how to treat customers with honesty and respect. read more
