This is hands down the best Kia dealership I've been to. I've purchased and serviced cars at both the Ventura and Glendale locations, and neither comes close to the exceptional service at First Kia. Every interaction I've had with them has been wonderful, starting from the moment I called to schedule my service appointment. I had my service and recall completed here today, and the experience was outstanding. I recently moved to Simi, just a few blocks from the dealership, so this was my first time visiting this location. Brian Fox was my service advisor, and he was fantastic. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and communicative throughout the entire process. He kept me updated on my vehicle and clearly explained everything that needed to be done. One of my coworkers also brings her car here and always speaks highly of Brian, and now I completely understand why. This was probably the best experience I've ever had at a Kia dealership. They definitely have a lifelong customer in me now, and when I'm ready to purchase a new vehicle, I will absolutely be buying it here. Thank you, Brian and the entire First Kia team, for all your help today! read more

Horrifically run KIA dealership by simply an incompetent GM who calls himself, Johnny KIA. Not sure if he's trying to be comical or if that's really and coincidentally his name! It's sad as it kind of ruins good car buying experience on a good car. I called his dealership about an issue with our new KIA and this upfront person called Brian or Brandon keeps telling me that "well, you didn't buy the car from us"!!!! Really?? And I keep trying to tell him that the car is under manufacturer's warranty, and he keeps repeating the same idiotic response that he'd been thought like a broken record. I made several attempts to reach this supposed GM character to no avail, and will certainly file a complaint against him with KIA MOTOR USA. read more

Do not go here for service. I went here to get my oil checked because my mechanic (silver city tires) told me my oil was burning. So I made an appointment and gave them all of the records of service. He saw that I had gotten an oil change two day priors and said they needed to do my oil again. I said that doesn't make sense but with three kids I don't have too much time to ask why. I then get the oil change for another $70 and he tells me to come back. I then call to tell them I'm coming back and tells me I can't get seen until October. So you're telling me your car is defective and I bought an extra oil change from you guys so you can fix nothing. Great job kia you hired a real big piece of work. read more

Highest disappointment with the service of this dealership. The piece of shit sales manager didn't help at all and was so rude that I will Never!!!!!!!!! Buy a car here again!!! What an asshole! I was just about to buy another new car but now they lost my family's business. I had my car serviced and was supposed to get a tire rotation. Gave me lame excuse that the car had to calibrate. I showed my Kia Access App that shows my car's complete information! The tires were still in the same place when I brought it for service. When Brian asked the mechanic, he was advised they did rotate the tires a big fat Lie!!! Well it calibrated and I was correct THEY LIED!! My tires were never rotated!!! I had to drive all the way back to call them out. $179 for an oil change $90 in labor alone! I hope Johnny sees this post. Contact me! You have my information!! They can improve by firing that piece of shit interim sales manager!! read more

It's my second time shopping at 1st Kia but this time was different. Had a fantastic service visit today. Bought a cargo cover and John walked me through how to put it on and take it off. Above and beyond! And one of the service guys (I think his name is Antonio?) fixed my window, which had some sticker residue on it and did a wonderful job. Definitely found my new Kia service location! I was looking at cars in their lot today for 15 or 20 minutes. No one approached me or asked if I needed help. I went into the showroom, a few people were on computers, a group of three men were just talking, and no one approached me. I am looking and ready to buy, but I will never return to that dealership read more

We had a lovely time buying our car 6 months ago. HORRIBLE first impression for our first maintenance appointment!! We called twice in the day to ask the maintenance dept. how long an oil change would be. First phone call the man was rude and dismissive. Later my husband goes to our appointment and waits 8 minutes and no one attended him. After he was asked by an employee to move his car. Now 15 has passed. Once someone tends to him they let him know he is late and it will be 2 hours. My husband gently reminded staff that no one helped him and asked to move his car. Their service was unprofessional. read more

NEGATIVE ZERO STARS! GRADE F! DON'T GO HERE! I really didn't want to leave a NEGATIVE review for this place, but I've HAD ENOUGH of the ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL and CHAUVINISTIC customer service here. EVERY TIME I come it's like I have to search for that ONE person who actually WANTS to be here because it's like MOST of the MEN who work here HATE their jobs! They promise you the world when you buy a car but then treat you like SH** when you come back and ask for help. I have an electric Niro and I take my car to the NISSAN dealership to charge it, and would rather PAY than deal with all the CONSTANT LIES they tell me. They said I could come and charge my car anytime I wanted when I bought it, and then reneged after it was sold. I'm planning to go somewhere else to get my next Kia. They are TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, 100% DON'T GIVE A FF about anything but $$$. Do yourself a favor and go to another Kia dealership. read more

First time using Express Service. Made an appointment online, got in on time set up by Brian K. He explained the process and how long it will take. Went for a walk while I waited, took a nap in their customers lounge, and my car was ready. Only had oil change, tire rotation, and fluid check. Car wash was added for free. The cost was $100. Great value, I plan to go back. read more

So I went to first Kia of Simi Valley to purchase a brand new 2026 Kia EV. I asked the dealer if Kia would buy out the remaining five months of my lease. They agreed to do so and I purchased a 2026 Kia EV. I did not lease the vehicle. Paid cash. A few months later I get a bill for 400 dollars saying I owe a disposition fee. Which is a turn in fee. I called Kia finance and they told me I owe the 400. Tried to explain to no avail that First Kia bought out my lease. I called First Kia and they refused to work with me. So I owe the 400. It was NEVER explained to me about that I would owe the disposition fee. If it was explained to me we might have worked out some sort of deal. I will NOT ever do business again with this dealership. read more

Brian Fox and his associate also named Brian run and schedule the service department - I cannot tell you with only words how great the Brians were with my oil change, recall updates and most importantly what a great job they did notifying me on a regular basis on my cars progress - before I could wonder how repair were going, bang, an email updating me on the progress - Simi Kia is lucky to have them as they will help bring business to Simi Kia - they have now made me a new customer but have secured me for future service going forward - thank you to both Brians - you are the best - read more

I want to buy a new Kia Sorento. I am a woman. I drove my current Sorento to the Simi Valley dealer. I walked around the lot for ten minutes looking at cars. Comparing stickers. No one came out to help me. The place was deserted. I got back in my car and was driving away. A man came out talking on his phone. Thought he might acknowledge me, but no, he was just going to his car. I stopped and said "I wanted to buy a new Sorento, but I guess I will just go to the Ventura Kia Dealer." This will be the fourth automobile I have bought on my own. My credit is excellent. Women are not treated seriously at car dealerships and it really is annoying. I will go buy my new 2025 loaded Sorento at another dealership. Also, I have had to problems with the First Kia service department working on my current Kia. I would avoid them. read more

Brian at First Kia is great! I recommend this dealership. Great service. The techs go over and above to make you feel welcome.

If I could rate zero stars for the service center at this Kia I would. I am furious at the customer service. I went because they sold me a car that was certified preowned and one of my tires went flat and there was nothing wrong with the tire so when I went there, they said I needed an alignment. They told me to wait two hours and it would be ready. After waiting two hours, I went to one of the Brian's and he told me that I need to buy two new tires before they can do the alignment on my car. So I waited two hours for nothing wasting my entire day and then you just sold me this car and I've only driven 2000 miles and I already need an alignment. Which is ridiculous because it should've already had an alignment when I bought it. I don't drive like a race car driver. I should not need an alignment already. This is insane and the customer service is horrible. Do not go here. read more

Had a great experience dealing with the Parts Department led by James. I called on Halloween 10/31/2025. James answered the call and helped me out step by step and what to expect when the part is delivered. The way he expressed himself and wanted to make sure that the part I ordered was specific to my vehicle so there wouldn't be any unnecessary delays. I can really, appreciate that especially, when everyone is currently, feeling tough economic times, right now. My husband and I went to First Kia this evening to look at the Kia Telluride. Jesus the sales consultant was kind and patient with us as we are navigating which car will be best for our family. After Jesus brought us a quote for a car I was extremely interested in ( it was my top choice), my husband was curious about how they came up with this number and was asking multiple questions about it. We decided to think about it and come back another day. As we were walking out, the finance manager said something negative about my husband, stating "this is why you don't deal with people that think they know what they are talking about". We are trying to find a car that is suitable and safe for our family that is in our budget and we are being belittled because my husband asked questions about the quote. The Kia Telluride is one of our top contenders to purchase for our family but we will not be buying it from the Simi Valley Kia. My suggestion for the financial manager is before you talk negatively about a customer, maybe make sure the door is completely closed. read more

I just have a simple question for the service department and I've been on hold for over half an hour

Terrible service and disgraceful management On 2/19 I took my K5 in for 2 recall services to be completed. After getting into my car, I look up to drive off and I immediately notice a 5" long crack in the middle of the windshield. I get out showed the service advisor. He says it was there when I dropped the car off and that he penciled in a x mark on his paper notating the crack in that area. Conveniently, it was on his copy but not on mine that I was given after the recall service was completed. It definitely was not cracked when I brought my car in so I asked to talk to the manager. I showed Greg Thoma, the "service manager" the crack and he said it was there when I brought it in. On the inspection paper it doesn't show any notation of a crack on the windshield or any of the dents or marks around my car (left blank) that Greg tried using to defend his position, so how can the inspection be trusted? The inspection they claimed to have done is a joke. How can they inspect a car for damage without me there to check and sign off on it? After I told him the crack was not there when I dropped it off. Greg suggested I didn't see the scratch because of the rain. I told him would've seen it despite the rain and I reiterated it was not there when I dropped the car off. He then goes all defensive by walking around my car pointing out small dents and and scratches saying did we do these too? I said no, I know how those dents got there and what does that have to do with my windshield? He said that's a $700 windshield and we're not paying it. I told him again my windshield was not like that this morning. Greg shrugged and said don't come back here anymore. That is a wild approach. Not only rude and disrespectful but his behavior is unacceptable. He literally tells me to not come back to the dealership before I even told him to fix the damaged windshield. He had no intention of calmly explaining and proving that KIA is not at fault, he just wanted me gone. I tried to get Greg's last name and info from the advisor and GM both declined and said to find it online. After that I just got into my car and left because I ran out of time and had leave since they had my car for 6 hours. Greg Thoma has no business working at any company, let alone a manager position. His actions will cost KIA a lot of future business. I will definitely take his advice and not come back and buy another car from this dealership or company! I'm certain after Greg reads this, he won't care but I expect nothing less based on his aggressive behavior and unprofessionalism. *Update* Instead of apologizing for Greg's behavior and fixing the problem, the owner attempts to go on the defensive by straight up lying. At no point was an inspection done in the beginning when I was there. Only when they brought my car back, I mentioned the crack. I literally said to Greg how can you guys do an inspection when I wasn't present for it? Greg responded by saying that I don't have to be present while they did the inspection The advisor said he needed my signature to confirm the two recalls were completed. I was NOT signing that the condition of my car is good. You guys didn't even bring me my car to inspect before having me sign off... This dealership is an absolute sh*t show. I highly recommend to avoid! read more

This is specifically for the service/ maintenance department - the reason I'm not giving 1 star is my Kia purchase with First Kia went great & I felt confident with my purchase. For maintenance - trying to get a hold of them is brain numbing, it should not be this hard. I called a few different times over a 45 minute period with no one answering. I ended up calling the operator with no luck and eventually sales as they actually answered the phone. Over the past 3-5 times I've been there for maintenance they will quote around 2-3 hours but will take closer to 6 hours. If you choose to get maintenance here, do not wait or need your car that day, get an uber or have someone pick you up. Also, when I did wait their waiting room has no AC or WiFi (unsure if these have changed as this was from over a year ago). read more

I was having difficulty with the service dept. I needed to make some calls and didn't have my phone. I went to the sales room to ask for help. Ryan Brown was there and offered his phone. first i had to find phone numbers on the internet and he let me use his computer. then i noticed i lost a bag i had. he went to the customer lounge to retrieve it, though i offered to go. he just did everything to help me. he is the very definition of "customer service". I had a wonderful buying experience at 1st Honda! I had received "best cash offers" from several dealers in the area and I called Noah at 1st Honda to see if he could meet the offer. I wanted to avoid all back and forth theater that I was used to in past car buying experiences. Noah met my price and promised it was a cash price and my check would not have to include a penny more. When I arrived to buy the vehicle, Noah met me, had me test drive the car and set me up for the payment. No hassles at all. He spent more time going over features of the computer age car than I spent actually buying it! Great Experience!! Thank you Noah and Thank You 1st Kia! Ron D. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would for the service department. Called for over an hour to try to get my car in under warranty as gas was showing no gas in car (likely electrical) drove it first thing in the morning the manager was there said I have no appointment I can not help you explained my issue and he said sorry I don't smell gas so it's likely electrical and that the soonest appointment was May to help me address the issue. They stated that they didn't have anybody but oil changers available to help on Saturday when I told him that I don't think it's safe to drive as I can't see my mileage. I felt taken advantage of when signing paperwork based on our agreed upon deal. Wouldn't do business here again.

Most incompetent, unprofessional, and uncaring service (or lack of service). They said they could have my parts ready with two days notice "no problem." I gave them a weeks notice and when I arrived at my appointment they said they didn't have the parts with a "whatever" attitude like they couldn't care less. No notice so I didn't waste my time going there, no offer to make it up to me, no attempt at a solution or to work with me. Just "oh well we don't have what we said we would get for you with no problem, bye." Don't waste your time with these clowns. They're disrespectful unprofessional children. read more

I called 1st Kia of Simi Valley and spoke to Jesus. He said he had the car I was looking for, it was on the lot and it was available. When I arrived, I asked Jesus to open the car door. He proceeded to fumble as the key was not in the lock box. He then said I'll be right back. Upon returning, he informed me the car was SOLD! He then implemented the "classic" bait and switch tactic and attempted to maneuver me to a different car. I can't believe that 1st Kia of simi valley continues to use these outdated tactics from long ago. Integrity just doesn't exist at 1st Kia of Simi Valley. I completely wasted my time and the experience was very frustrating. I will never shop at 1st Kia of Simi Valley again! read more

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Kia dealership thanks to shawn! From the moment I arrived shawn was professional friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. I came in for a brake replacement, and he made the entire process smooth and stress free. My car feels like new again the brakes are working perfectly and I feel completely safe on the road. Bad customer service is one thing. But when you can't even get customer service, because no one picks up the phone after multiple attempts, is a waste of time. When you are looking to buy a car, Kia will be on you like a flea on a dog. But the minute you've bought the car, they treat you like a pest. Good car, but the residual pain of having to deal with Kia employees is not worth it. read more

We are so happy with the service and warranty repair completed at First Kia Simi. We absolutely love our KIA Forte. We purchased her at this dealership almost ten years ago. I have never had a better experience buying a car than the one I just had with 1st Kia of Simi this past weekend. I made the switch from Nissan and fell in love with the Kia Telluride. After 1 test drive I knew I had to have it. My whole experience with the buying process was so easy and pleasant. I cannot say enough good things about this dealership and staff. We did not have an appointment and walked in on a Sunday afternoon. We were promptly attended to by Joe with no wait at all. Everything was done on his phone so we did not have to step foot inside the offices and were in our test drive with in minutes of arriving. Joe was extremely knowledgeable and took time to explain all the features etc. Joe took us to check out other models like the sorento and EV but I knew I wanted the Telluride and loved the one we test drove. About a week prior Cody helped my husband look at cars as well but he was with another family when we arrived Sunday so Joe stepped in. Once Cody was finished and found out we were back he immediately came over and greeted us and went over everything while Joe worked on applications etc. Talk about amazing service! Cody and Joe were phenomenal! They knew the number we needed to be at and made it happen with a trade in. No back and forth, no hassle, just straight to the point and we had a deal immediately (thanks to the man behind the computer crunching those numbers for us too, Chris) Financing was a breeze! Thanks to Henry I was in and out in under 10 minutes signing all the docs. I think it would have been even faster if we didn't chat so much lol. Extra special thanks to Joe and Cody for making this experience awesome for me and getting me into my new beautiful car! I absolutely love it! Highly highly recommend!! read more
