This place definitely is not #1 in customer satisfaction as they advertise to be. I called to make a service appointment for my Optima that at the time was under 60,000 miles, the woman on the phone said it will be 2 1/2 weeks until I'm able to get an appointment which I thought was crazy. nevertheless, I took the earliest appointment, got up at 6am and drove from downtown Los Angeles to Simi Valley so I could to get the sunroof recall done, flickering interior light, gas is low alert when my gas is actually full and my car alarm that goes off at 5 am every now and then for no reason. I pull up to the service window and "Jimmy" attends me and I begin to tell him the sunroof issue that I have and rudely interrupted me right off the bat to tell me I'm past the 60,000-mile warranty by 1,100 miles and that it's going to be $130 to just LOOK at the issue. I wasn't even done explaining why I came in and he's already throwing prices at me! when I begin to explain that I took it to Kia of downtown for an air intake hose recall they inspected the sunroof and that there was no problem at the time, but no work was actually done. Now the sunroof makes a loud flapping noise when I drive and its annoying and distracting. I go back and forth with him and the whole time this guy is just rude, very arrogant and is clearly not customer service oriented and would talk over me a lot! so much so that I had to tell him to just stop and listen to me. Throughout our conversation, he said, "that's not my problem" twice (I counted). I explain to him that my car has an extended warranty, He said they still have to charge me regardless then submit the paperwork to whoever my extended warranty is with (which I thought was with Kia). He didn't try to work with me at all. I drove 3 hours today to be told "That's not my problem" and that "my hands are tied". What was I suppose to do for 2 1/2 weeks? not drive my car to keep it under 60,000 miles only because of their lack of resources? I will be contacting Kia about this. read more

First Kia Simi Valley - Car Dealers Near Me - Simi Valley, California

Great bunch at 1st Kia,,, Chuck sold us the car and did a great job....but Micky sold me on the car before we actually purchased it. I visited the dealership a few days before the purchase and Micky spent a lot of time showing me the Optima, which I had my mind set on...my husband did not. Micky was not pushy or manipulative like car salesman can often be, neither was Chuck. They were a good team. And...BTW... Micky is Very easy of the eyes girls! So if you're in the market for a car...check it out!!! read more

The salesman, Corey, was helpful and honest. The selection of colors and variety of vehicles with the different features was at a minimum. But we found one for us. The closer was rude when I explained that I needed to head home and speak with my wife. He literally snatch documents from my hands and threw them to the salesman. After I called him on that nonsense he apologized and then came back with a "final" offer which made the deal happen. The transaction was done because the final price was right for me and my family and the fact that Corey the salesman was good to us. If it had only been the closer, I would have taken my business elsewhere! read more

I was very impressed with the help and the selection of cars too choose from. My sales manager was Mr Benjamin Villalpando That was very helpful and determined to do anything for me to get my car. I was very pleased read more

Great service from Greg the car service manager and to the technician who worked on my car. I've been having issues getting my car repaired for a check engine light that kept coming on that the people who attempted to work on my car in the past could never get resolved. Not only was Greg very nice and professional but he and the technician were able to figure out and resolve the issue quickly! Thank you to them both! read more

Had a good experience getting a new Telluride - Noah was fair, made the process easy and was extremely responsive

Horrible experience! We went in looking to buy a car and left extremely frustrated. The salesperson was nice but knew literally nothing about the car and wasn't able to tell us anything about it. He kept saying "I'll have to check on that" but never gave us any answers. We ended up reading and figuring things out on our own. Then they insisted on getting all of our personal information, including references, before giving us a price on the vehicle. When the manager came over, he was extremely rude and abrasive. We had to ask several times to get our car keys back after giving them the keys to our car to look at a possible trade in. I don't appreciate being held hostage while you continue to try to sell me on your price. What a waste of 2.5 hours! There are plenty of other dealerships that will treat you better then 1st Kia will. We ended up going to another dealership in Glendale and bought our car from them. In Glendale, the salesperson had a wealth of information about the car that the one at 1st Kia should have know! I will never make the mistake of going to 1st Kia of Simi Valley again! read more

We had our Kia Forte serviced. Needed some recalls resolved, and a new battery. The staff could not have been more helpful, pleasant, and professional. This was such a surprise after dealing with other service departments. We will definitely return! read more

I just leased a new car from 1st Kia (my 3rd car from them) and it was so easy and fast I was reassured once again I made the right choice coming here. I was able to do most of it over the phone (as is my preference) and by the time I got there all I had to do was check out the car and sign the papers! I got a fair amount for my trade in (not a lease) and was in and out in less then 2 hours. I know where I'll be going for my 4th Kia =) Thanks to all the staff for making it another easy purchase. read more

My mom's car broke down beyond repair. Which in this pandemic economy with market adjustments of upwards of $3,000 for cars due to the short supply, it is a buyers nightmare. Luckily, we were able to work with Justin Spencer from Kia on Simi. He helped my mom gain confidence and test drive different cars until she settled on a car she felt confident driving in. He then work with his team to lower my interest and base price while increasing my trade in value to match my Carmax sell quote. Overall I am very satisfied and my mom drove off the lot with a really nice car. (Her old car had almost twice the interest than we got here) read more

Robyn, Justin and the service crew at 1ST KIA are amazing. They are always helpful and always cordial.

Got an engine replaced under warranty. They said it would take a few weeks maybe a month. I received it back in a few days. A couple months later i get a rattling sound so i try to schedule a service, called 3 times, left messages and got no return call. I too my car to another KIA dealership and the said engine had a missing bolt, a wrong size bolt and missing manifold mounting bolt. First kia was notifies and the response was "the service was months ago and how do we know it was us?" Like i have tome to sabotage my on ish! read more

I went to First Kia to buy my next Kia Sorrento. Marlon Arevalo helped me. I went in, told him what I wanted, he brought the car to me- "it better than I expeced". The Kia Sorrento 2013 is beautiful. Iwas going to get fianced from the same company I used before- for no reason they wanted to loan me less money and higher interest rate. Kia was able to get me financed and lower my interest rate. I was able to leave there with my new car with in 2.5 hours- start to finish. Feeling confident that I got a great deal, and a fabulous interest rate- I will tel all my friends and family to go there; because I know that they will be treated well! I can trust that they will walk out feeling as great as I did. read more

I can't say enough good things about 1st Kia of Simi Valley. I was referred to this facility by a outside auto service. He said my battery needed to be replaced and it should still be under warranty. At 8AM I showed up for my appointment. I was directed into service by a gentleman outside. I was next greeted by Robyn, the cashier, that introduced me to Justin, my service adviser. There was nothing but big smiles and awesome customer. While I waited for my vehicle I got enjoy a cup of their great tasting coffee with a donuts. All I can say is that this place is awesome. I highly recommend you take your vehicle to 1st Kia Simi Valley. They won't let you down. read more

Went in multiple times to lease a plugin Niro based on advertised price on their website. Each time they would not honor the MSRP saying it was for a limited time or they would add accessories and charges and bump up the MSRP. Sales guy Mark would run back and forth to his manager and come up with the same offers with different sneaky deals rolled in. I wanted to stay local and get something from a local dealership. Finally gave up and got it from another dealership. Stay away from these jokers if you have good credit, know the prices and can read through the add-ons they put on the MSRP. read more

We came to First Kia after visiting 2 other Kia dealers. We were greeting by Jesse Trujillo, our sales guy. We told he we told him we were still undecided and we had a few questions about a specific car. He was more then happy to help us, he spent about 30-40 minutes talking to us and showing us the differences in the cars we were looking at. We appreciated this, it cleared many things up for us. We left, there was no pressure at all!! He gave us his card and said when you are ready give me a call. That's what we did! We called him to let him know we were on our way, and he met us when we got there. We told him again what we were looking for, he walked us up to the vehicle and let us take our time looking at it again. Still no pressure whatsoever! When we were ready to purchase our vehicle, Jesse made things so smooth and easy. Anyone we had to deal with at this dealership was very kind and respectful. Thank you Jesse for making this a great experience. read more

I just leased my fist car from 1st Kia and it was the easiest experience I could of ever imagined. I was coming into town from Phoenix for the holidays and looking at cars was the first thing on my agenda. I had worked with DC initially and he couldn't of been more helpful. I had never gone through a dealership before so I had a lot of questions and being out of town I was working over text. DC was always available to help me over text whenever I needed it. DC was unable to be there the day I came by so Cameron was there to assist in the actual test driving and leasing process. He was so kind and walked me through every detail. Both guys made my car buying experience the easiest thing I could of imagined. THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN! LOVE MY NEW CAR read more

Josh is absolutely AMAZING!! So attentive, so thorough in explain all the functions of the vehicle I wanted, answered all of my questions in a language I could easily understand, and played great music while we test drove! Seriously, I didn't feel like this was a "sales" experience at all...just a couple of friends hanging out looking at cars. He and the team were so accommodating and friendly. Justin was an amazing sales rep. After some negotiations he was able to get us the deal we wanted and a better car than anticipated.

I don't like leaving negative reviews. As a small business owner, and having worked in customer service myself, I know how impactful reviews can be to your business and I do not post negative reviews lightly. However, I have had the worst experience I've ever had with a local business at First Kia of Simi. We purchased our 2017 Hyundai from them in October and also purchased an extended warranty at that time. We were not informed that they would not honor the warranty at the dealership. (I don't know how this is legal, but we will be looking into this with an attorney.) The check engine light had been coming on intermittently for the past few weeks, and then finally came on and stayed on. I made an appointment for a diagnostic appointment and waited three weeks, with my car sitting in the driveway, afraid to drive it. When I dropped off the vehicle, I was treated rudely by the service staff and told they do not repair Hyundais, even though a Hyundai Sonata was in the service bay ahead of me. Even though we purchased our Hyundai from them. Even though we purchased the *warranty* through them. An hour or so later, the service manager called my husband and informed him that they would not do any repairs on our vehicle, since they only service Kias. We were never told this information during the buying process. Ever. Do not do business with First Kia. They are not honest. read more
