    STAY AWAY, RUN AWAY! We were at the LA County fair in California when we stopped at booth. Should have researched before I gave cash $50 for installation. I did t want to get be cash and asked to do deposit in card and they said they have no way of running credit cards. Clue #1 not to continue with service. I then asked husband who was standing a few feet away talking to his fellow friends of the local police dept. his friend said I would not continue with it and walk away. And I should have listened. I set up for the security system to be installed on Tuesday from 8-12pm husband takes a day off to make sure all his questions are answered and nobody shows up not even a phone call. No call Wednesday for an apology. I called Friday morning to speak about a refund and that person was busy they would call me back. When I got into contact with them that afternoon I was told protocol does not allow refunds and I asked where in the contract does it say that. It doesn't that's our protocol. When asked to speak to someone above him he said there is nobody and we will not give you a refund. He told me to hold on but forgot to mute the phone and began speaking to someone and made jokes about the phone call and when he realized he didn't mute it said oh shit and muted. When he came back he repeated he doesn't give refunds and refused to give me his boss's name and number and I knew this wasn't going anywhere and told him I will call back tomorrow to straighten the issue. If they can't follow through with an installation and this is their customer service hate to see what the rest of the company is like. Never again get a service at the fair. The booth was a directTV and offered what they say AT&T security. Scam oh the supervisor is Larry.

    Be careful with Century Link's promotion " locked price for life". While it is true that the price…read moreis 55.00 for a decent speed it's like pulling teeth to get the full monthly price from their sales reps. Just remember that the price does not include modem rental if you're renting. If you don't rent the modem you will need to purchase one for 100.00. Taxes will probably be 10.00 depending on your city. Also a month in advance payment will be required . So your first month's payment will most likely be ( for the 55.00 plan) 55.00 + 10.00 (tax) + 55.00 + 10.00 (month in advance plus tax) + modem rental 10.00 X 2 for months if you rent. Total first bill :150.00 and that's a conservative estimate. If you're not a current customer doing a lateral change but a new customer there may be an additional activation fee. If you don't rent the modem but purchase it, the first month's bill will be about 130.00 + 100.00 for a one time purchase. The subsequent bills will be 65.00 -70.00 without a modem rental. 75.00-80.00 with a modem rental for the advertised plan of 55.00 a month. Just wanting to help you make an informed decision. It's not a bad plan just a few more costs than you may have realized . Every telecom does this .

A technician came…read moreto install my internet, and I still did not have internet service after he left and had to call them back at least three times. The wiring was laid across the alley floor and was driven over by multiple vehicles, including a CenturyLink technician's truck and a garbage truck, within three hours of being laid. (can't imagine how much beating that spaghetti sized wire can take in hot AZ summer) Furthermore, I was initially told by century link after still not have internet that the technician gave me the wrong router, and another one was shipped to me. However, the technical department later confirmed that the original router was indeed the correct one. All of this confusion occurred within a single day. To add to my frustration, I was charged for this unsatisfactory installation. Every time I call to discuss this issue, I was forced to explain the entire situation repeatedly. I truly believe that any positive reviews are bots. They then sent me a bill for the installation charge for WHAT! I'm still having to argue with them on the daily to get that removed. I did take photos to dispute of the awful job the tech did. please don't call them please save yourself a lot of heartache and distress. Not even worth the one STAR your forced to give
