In the past couple of years, I've heard a lot of Splinter. I've seen the awesome work they turn…read moreout, their incredible work ethic, and their passion for what they do each day. And now, I've experienced it. I recently had the opportunity to work with Brandon on a project that is smaller in size, but huge in impact. Our team met with his team in their offices for some brainstorming and content creation (we're both creative groups and wanted very much to have the influence of both groups on our project). Our varied schedules required us to meet at night, after everyone had put in a full day's work. I was exhausted, but the energy Brandon brought rejuvenated my brain and (some) of my creative juices. After a couple hours of focused work and intense brainstorming, we had a plethora of content to work with. While I wasn't involved in the steps that followed, I was very aware of the authoritative approach Splinter took, recognizing the pertinent details and excellence in our varied and extensive content. The result? An outstanding product that blew away even my greatest expectations. I sincerely wish I had more business to take to Splinter, simply because I can recognize greatness when I see it. I tend to be very technical, often lacking true creativity. So to be able to work seamlessly with the creatives at Splinter speaks volumes of them. The ability to interpret what a client is relaying and translate that into a final product that goes so far beyond satisfaction is not just a skill or a talent, it's a gift. And Splinter has it.

He charged for a core feature on our website that him and his team developed. It didn't work for over a year. He then tried to bill us to fix it. The website had 404 errors way before he changed servers and then sent a bill to fix it, but he blamed it on the new server. He also illegally got into our customer database, on the server, and retrieved one of our admin log in credentials and then used those log in credentials to make himself another admin account after we terminated his services. To this day he refuses to give us our backups of the website or ftp log in credentials so we can migrate the site to another host after we spent upwards of 150k with him. I would steer clear of this company because they charge to fix issues that should have worked from the get go and break in to the backside of your website after their services were terminated. Here's the deal: Everytime I go to some networking, social shindig, I make it a point to give my personal biz card (Yes, I said "personal," not to be confused with my professional one). And every single time, the recipient will say, "Oh my, these cards are great...it's so YOU!" Thaaat's right...and that's exactly what I expected from graphic artist extraordinaire, Jenny Domingo, when I asked her to create a business card for me that is quirky, bold, unexpected, and ME. Working with Jenny is a breeze. She listens to what you envision, she gets it, she executes, and she executes it flawlessly. She has an amazing eye for design and color combo, which in my opinion, is ultra important when trying to capture attention. More importantly, you'll get along with her...seamlessly. She is that cool and friendly--so much so, that you wished you knew her in high school. She's unpretentious but remains professional, not in the stuffy sense. Believe me when I say, "You'll like her." Finally, her designs are effective. What do you mean, you ask? Let's put it this way: I was so overjoyed by the final design of my biz card that I posted it on my FB page, and a freelance client hired me on the spot---without even touching the actual business card. I'm telling you...well worth it. Oh, and P.S. Her biz partner Odeen rocks, too.
