Called Subaru, talked to Dan Peeples -- he told me to take it to Autozone to have the codes read before resetting. I also took my car for evaluation to an independent not authorized Subaru Service Shop -- a mistake. They charged for the evaluation. Said I needed a rebuilt transmission and never called back. Dan and I were in communication for a week on my car -- stating I could drive it as long as the hot oil light did not come on. When it did, he said: "stop driving and have it towed in". Within 24 hrs of having my car at Mike Shaw's, Dan called me back with a diagnosis and cost. I picked my car up that afternoon -- transmission repaired. Test drove it to Winter Park -- not only did the car perform outstanding but I got 30.5 mpg driving to the mountains with a 2011 Subaru. My worst fear was that the car was not repairable at a reasonable price and NEW CAR. Now I'm confident for another 100K miles. Dan and his team are incredible. And I have confidence that Subaru and Mike Shaw will stand behind the repair work. I am more than satisfied and glad to know that there is a friendly, quality-minded, excellent Subaru-dealership/service for my car. Recently moved to Denver. I ran to the bank (cash is cheaper,) signs everywhere. We bought the part ourselves but then the dodge dealer said if we bring the part and do not order from them labor is $1300. Looked up auto services here on yelp, found R & R. Joe quoted 180 for labor, flat rate. He said if we get the car in by 9:00 AM the next day he'd make sure it was the first thing worked on. We did, and he did. We paid the quote price for labor. We have a few other things on our other car to fix, so we will be repeat customers. Joe and his family and team are great people, very personable, friendly. No B.S.. Thank you Joe from the Andersons! Well turns out, the water pump needed to be replaced, so I had that done, as well as the timing belt. First sign of shoddy work was the fact that when I drove home, the car started losing power to the radio and dash lights. Thankfully, I lived very close to the shop at the time and was able to get it home, at which point I discovered that the alternator wasn't re-connected after the work done. Easy fix for even someone like me, but c'mon, how do you overlook this? Fast forward to a little more than a year and I come to find out that the car is leaking coolant again, and was told by another mechanic that the water pump is leaking again. So either they used a cheap part or didn't put it in properly. I don't have the time to take this car back to this shop to have it done, so I'm just going to have the pump replaced by someone that knows what they are doing.

Desperately needing my brakes done with limited time, I stopped in to get back to the mountains safely. (I normally do them myself & never had any of the situations they caused to my F150). Next thing I know my ABS & Emergency brake lights come on randomly while driving the pass daily. Then my truck starts to wobble. Being in nursing school, I finally made it back up after five months to have them answer why my emergency brake lights were coming on. They said it was my wheel hub. I already paid 1200 and now they want 1000 more to fix this with little resolution to my questionable brakes for the last 5 months - death wobble included. I went to a friend and it was a $100 tie rod and my 4x4 had also been severed. Cut and non-working on top of that. I had to drive my ruck back to the mountains with hazards on and under 45 mph terrified. I got it fixed for $250 - not a $1000 like they quoted. And now I have to fix the 4x4 they severed and my ABS and emergency parking lights that they screwed. Horrible. Untrustworthy. Scam.
