They forgot to put a part back on my car and was causing steering issues for 3 months. They even told me to just trade the car in, what a joke. I suggested a number of possible causes and they tried to gaslight me, saying I'm wrong. Diagnosed the issue myself, and then that's when I discovered the missing part. Made them fix their mistake but watched the whole time. No apology. Won't be coming back to this location. They need checks and balances, someone with actual experience double checking everything - especially when it comes to something critical like suspension. read more

Not only did she provide exceptional customer service but she goes above and beyond. I have been a Firestone customer for the past 10 years and have never had an issue at any of their locations until this past week. I am completely disappointed because it had nothing to do with their auto care services but everything to do with their lack of customer service and complete disrespect for other ethnic races. I unfortunately experienced discrimination and outright racism. I came in on Sunday March 8th around 1pm for a routine oil change and had to unfortunately sit and wait in the lobby for my car. Halfway through my oil change service, the clerk comes in to advise me to have my cabin filter and ac filter changed. I tell him to go ahead and give me the prices and to have them printed out so that I could think about it. As he proceeds to look up prices for the new filters on his computer he simultaneously reads them out loud to me. As he is reading out the prices, one of their mechanics walk in to grab himself a cup of coffee. He unwelcomely decides to chime in on our conversation and goes, "Ooooo too expensive, you do $5 dolla, $5 dolla and maybe I buy! $5 dolla, $5 dolla ok?" Yeap, I am Asian. I am Vietnamese. And yeap, this grown man decided it was a perfect time to mock me. This may all most likely be due to the increasing tension arising from this Coronavirus pandemic. It could even just be that I am a woman and I am Asian. Whatever it is, this man definitely has some deeply embedded fears and insecurities within himself due to his ignorance but there is never a right time to be racist, no matter how ill informed you are. I was immediately offended and stared this man down until he walked out back towards where the car bays were. The clerk who witnessed everything decided it was something to just laugh off, of course. Needless to say, I did not leave happy, mostly just disappointed in humanity. Hopefully nothing goes wrong with my car, guess I will find out. I unfortunately did not catch this mechanics name. Absolutely ridiculous pricing here. I don't like to write bad reviews but beware of price gouging. I came for a regular Freon refill and I thought it would be around the cost of what I've paid in the past at another Firestone location. I dropped off the car and then I got a call from who I believe was the manager to let me know that he forgot to mentioned the cost of $400!!! I was in shock & his explanation? The vehicle used a different type of Freon. That was true, but not $16 per oz which is what I was charged. 8oz cans are only around $40 each. On top of that he sent me the wrong bill at first and I noticed that for the regular Freon he was going to charge me $256 which was also way too over. At another Firestone location I only paid $160 for a refill. Total for a refill and a tire rotation I ended up paying around $450. I hope this can help anyone looking to get that same job done with this Firestone location. read more

I don't really know if they do good car check, or if they can truly repair, but they are over price the repair and the parts, They took car parts from my car without me knowing, I had to drive back there after couple hours to claim it. Came here to get my brakes changed a couple of weeks ago and the caliper fell off shortly after leaving due to the technician not putting a pin in correctly. The car had to be towed back after closing to get fixed after I demanded they stay to fix it. As I was leaving, the manager assured me that everything was okay but once I arrived home I noticed the hand brake was not working. After expressing my frustration with the situation on multiple occasions, I was told a claim had been opened and they would be the ones resolving the issue due to my concern for my own safety. I never heard from anyone in the claims department or the district manager who I asked to speak to multiple times. The manager and technician seemed annoyed with the situation and to this day are yet to apologize for the inconvenience it caused me. Received a refund only after I pleaded for a solution. They then proceeded to have me sign a disclosure form freeing them of any liability in order to get the refund I should have gotten from the beginning. My rim now has damage and so does my caliper. They refused to fix my hand brake or ever service my car again as if it was my fault. Needless to say I won't be coming here or dealing with such an irresponsible company ever again. Avoid the headache and spend the extra money to go to the dealership where they have actual licensed professionals. Also, to whoever plans on responding to this, save yourself the trouble. I've already emailed whatever email you're going to direct me to with no avail. The sole purpose of this review is to shine light on my situation so that other customers reconsider spending their hard earned money on such poor quality work. read more

Plus they never told me my car was easy until I went to the counter. This place is a joke and no wonder there are so many negative reviews. Service was much improved over previous visits. Had an issue and they took care of it with no hassle. One complaint remains on their installation prices. $30 to install a bulb? Nice location and they were very busy. Cheaper on many services compared to the repair shops around them, just check your invoice and do small things on your own. read more

The staff unprofessional as hell literally everyone is sitting around on they're phones and not doing anything but talking and laugh with each other while there are customers waiting at the front desk.Plus there is no ac at all so I was sitting there for 3 hours and they quote everything at an hour or more. I just came in for a tire change nothing else. I know for sure it takes 30 to 40 mins max to mount and balance. Firestone is my go-to for oil changes and new tires for great deals and quality service. You can look for coupons in their website (such as $18.99 standard oil change) and just show it them on your phone. They do free inspections and fill up your tires if the air is low. Customer service is great too. Last time I needed new tires, they looked for coupons for me (without me asking) and advised me on which one would be the best deal. I changed all 4 tires and got lifetime tire rotation. The only thing I wouldn't get is the windshield wiper blades, as mine didn't last very long. The waiting room does smell of rubber from the tires but there is free bottled water, a keurug for you to make your own fresh coffee, and a small TV. I like this place. The only bad experience I've had was this past winter, right after the New Years. There was no heating, and waiting room was freezing cold, probably in the 50s. There was a terrible smell of exhaust in the waiting room. There was no coffee or water. I had an appointment for an oil change but had to wait 2 hours in the freezing cold, toxic environment and then another hour because I hadn't specifically asked for a tire rotation until after the oil change was done. Recently I went in because my tire kept getting low on air. I was told there was a nail and that the tire had to be replaced. Thankfully I had gotten insurance on the tire, so a replacement tire was only $40. What!! I didn't even remember getting insurance. Now that's a great deal! read more

I brought in my car 2 and a half hours ago, I'm still waiting for it to be done, I came in for a quick oil change and to align my wheels. The staff is rude and I can see them laughing and making jokes, no one is working, they are just standing around and talking. Least professional Firestone I've ever been to. Last time I come to any Firestone location they're all the same, but this one was extra bad. I think they need to fire everyone working here, none of them are professional or productive even the manager, he just sits on his desk and acts like we're bothering him when we ask how long it will take or what's taking so long. read more

I have been a Firestone customer since at least 2004, and this has primarily been my location. I do like being part of a national chain because if something happens while I'm on the road, someone has a history of my vehicle. If I follow any religion, it's changing the oil and rotating the tires every 3K-5K miles. Like any place, I have had my fair share of ups and downs, but overall there have been ups. The last downer I can remember was in March of 2012. I made an appointment for 3:30PM on a Saturday and asked how long it would take. The manager said, "We'll probably be done by 5PM." I said, "5PM for an oil change??? I made an appointment at 3:30PM." He replied, "The staff don't arrive until 4PM." Well, then how come they confirmed an appointment for 3:30PM? I was confused. Apparently all staff break for lunch at 4PM on a Saturday to further my frustration. There was only one guy (not a manager) working while everyone else ate. They ate for about 45 minutes. After the staff and manager was done, I asked the manager how long it would take, and he confirmed they'd be done within an hour. I was furious because this means I wouldn't leave until about 6PM and had somewhere to be. The manager kept saying, "It's like a doctor's appointment - you get pushed back at a doctor's office." I was so angry I just shook my head in silence. Since I used to work at a doctor's office, I can assure you, doctor's offices don't schedule appointments during staff lunch breaks. I finally left around 6PM on a Saturday, even though I'd made an appointment for 3:30PM. I think over the years that was the worst. In November 2012, I was in and out under an hour around 9:30AM on a Saturday morning. Today (Monday) it was also under an hour when I called ahead while on my way around 4:45PM. I noticed while waiting as time elapsed, the wait time was understandably longer. Starting at about 5:30PM, the manager told people the wait was 1.5hours. This place does have a steady, constant business, so be prepared. What's nice is that Firestone always has coupons online, and they'll let you use the coupon even if you don't print it. They'll offer deals, and they don't try to scam you. They'll put windshield wiper fluid in your car if the level's low, even if you don't ask for it. I noticed today, the guy working on my car had two other colleagues look at the oil dipstick to make sure the oil was the right color. They also have an online appointment system, which I highly recommend using. You cannot make appointments for state inspections, and this can be tricky. State inspections are not done on Sundays, and inspections are done only when the right technician's there, so be aware. Generally, the staff have been nice and helpful. I will probably continue to come here because it's convenient. read more

I use to take my cars here for oil change but after a couple years later I notice that they only fill the oil to the half way line marker. I asked the manager why they do that and they told me that its company policies. My 2004 Toyota highlander (was bought brand new with only 7mile) was losing oil, given check engine light all sort of problem after I have taken my car to this place, I dont know if its related to the oil change or not. I have so far visited twice this place and my experience is nothing but amazing (In a good way). I was nervous to go first as in the store but this was closest to me. 01/21/2018 I felt my car was having serious alignment issue and it was impossible to drive. I called up and spoke to Shanna who guided me after having a short discussion that I could come in and get my car checked. Hence I visited the store immediately in an hour and she was able to accommodate my without having a prior appointment. As a novice in car repairs I was looking for some bad news but to my surprise the technician Anthony give me good news that the issue is not with alignment but my car having an old right left type which is making car drive funny. So he does a type rotation (I don't even know when It was last done as I got this car a year ago). I asked if that was the issue all along and it turns out to be true. Hence since the tyre rotation, I haven't seen car going crazy. All thanks to Shanna and Anthony. Great work that day and it left a good impression on me. 03/12/2018 Another few months pass by and I find that my car hood is broke and it does not lock. I do Google and find that it would be a serious business to get the hood fixed as it requires complete replacement of my car hood lock system as its 2001 model. So I felt a sink in my heart but remembering my experience with them, I call Firestone. Again Shanna comes to rescue and asks to me to bring the car in to a technician can do evaluation and let me know how much $$ I am looking in repairs. Being a busy Monday, I take the car but Shanna is able to again accommodate me in busy schedule. My car is picked by Vernon and I am waiting an estimate to get my car hood fixed but to my surprise he comes up a fabulous answer that the latch has become old hence it was jammed. By doing rust clean and oiling, he was able to fix it temporary. I am feeling really good right now. Shanna goes beyond her support and calls the manufacture to get me an estimate if I really want to replace the latch system as its being too old. I am glad I visited today. I would like to give me appreciation to Shanna and team for going beyond their support and helping a new Texan resident which I can only imagine. So THANK YOU and God Bless. Yeah, so I am back to good ol firestone because my baby is giving me noises which is making me worried and as usual Shanna is able to accommodate me in the busy schedule of early morning Tuesday. So I give details of issue I am experiencing with my corolla which is like strange noise from back, hissing sound, no visible damage, etc. and ask Shanna to mention the technician to actually drive the car to understand the issue better. So she does that and Vernon actually drove my car on street to understand. As the time passes I am getting worried as I was beginning to believe that it could be major issue and it turned out to be the one. It seems that since back in 2001 when car was manufactured, the breaks rotors were never changed and they were hanging by a thread. This was a safety issue and a shocker to me. I reluctantly asked for estimate and it turned out to what I bargained for car. So I approve to change the rotors and Shanna gave me pricing discount as much as possible. As the parts where for 2001 corolla, the needed it to be order and delivered immediately. On the other hand Vernon, did a fabulous job replacing breaks in timely and efficiently. So once he finished the job, the noise was gone and I had spent only couple of hours to get all this done. So all together another fantastic experience from Vernon/Shanna from Firestone. I always tried to steer clear of corporate auto places, but a coworker recently recommended this Firestone location because she is always impressed with their customer service. I scheduled an appointment during my lunch break and dropped it off. They called within the hour to update me on my car and recommended I replace some filters as well, which I knew I needed because it had been forever since my last oil change. They quoted me like 165 for the complete oil change plus the two or three filters. When I got there to pick it up, my total somehow dropped to 140, to which I was pleasantly surprised. They advised me that my tires needed replaced soon and that my battery life was getting low as well. I was also super happy to find that they refilled my wiper fluid in the front and rear. My car takes what is called ''synthetic blend'' oil, which I can never find a coupon for. But when I call ahead of time and schedule an appointment, they always offer me a discount even though they don't have one advertised. I have been to Firestone several times now and I have been very impressed with their customer service every time. They don't try to scam you and in my opinion, they're not over priced. Fantastic service. I couldn't be happier. I was having an issue with a slow leak in one of my tires. I brought it in to be inspected. They took the wheel off, checked for a leak in a water bath and found none. Then then inspected and adjusted the valve stem. Cost - absolutely nothing! It was done as a 'courtesy.' Don't get me wrong, firestone got the job done, I needed emergency repairs that were causing my car to be stuck in neutral (keep in mine I'm from out of Austin was visiting for business). They had to take my entire center conceal apart, the fella doing the work said somthing like "I've taken so many cars apart in my 15 years" so I sorta thought he would have put it back together properly. I didn't notice until about a month later that he put it back together incorrectly, this back plate in the back seat to the center conceal completely messed up and it even seems like there's a broken clip and he tried to slip it thru the door because he knew I'm an out of Towner. Would not recommend this firestone. read more

I try so hard to like this place, but it seems time and time again, they disappoint. It's a neighborhood store, so it's convenient. But, they told me the sound I heard was coming from bad rear shocks, and they give me an estimate for $390 for two shocks installed! Shocks for OEM cost about $40 each, plus labor. Kia tells me there is nothing wrong with the shocks at all, tighten all the bolts, wash the car, and send me home, no charge. No sound heard whatsoever. If this isn't blatant lying, I don't know what is. I'd get second opinions on EVERYTHING they recommend! read more

My engine light came on, so I rolled into the Firestone Store on Eldridge in Sugar land for help. They said they would do a diagnostic test to see what was wrong, but it would cost $99. I agreed. They called later and said that the test revealed that #2 and #4 of certain parts were failing and that it would be $501.00 to replace them. I said I would think about it. My son called Autozone about the parts in question. They said the parts were $89 each, but that they were fairly easy to replace and that we probably didn't need a garage to do so. We then picked up my car and drove to Autozone, where they did a diagnostic test (For FREE) and it showed that only #3 was failing. NOT 2 & 4. We then bought one part for $89 and it took less than 10 minutes to pop the hood and replace the part. It totally fixed the problem. the car is running smoothly. No engine lights come on. I saved $410.00. I question why Firestone was going to charge me $300 to replace two (the wrong two) parts that took a non professional less than 10 minutes. And why tell me 2 and 4 were bad when in fact, 3 was the problem? It makes me very unhappy. If I had gone directly to autozone, I would have saved that $99 diagnostic charge (which was wrong).
