Jorge was friendly and knowledgeable. I did not have an appointment and my car was done within a few hours.

Firestone Complete Fail - 690 N Tustin St. Orange - I made an appointment at 3 PM to replace a flat tire And do a wheel alignment..., I walked out of there at 6:30 PM. 3 - 1/2 hours and I had an appointment ? I can't imagine how long I would be there if I had just walked in. You guys are only on track as to how much money you can take in, I'm going to an auto care place that values me as a customer. read more

Seems like others that have reviewed this location have also had inconsistent and negative experiences with their staff. I have been looking for a new mechanic and unfortunately this isn't the place. I brought my car in for an oil change. Simple, right? First Freddy told me that they open at 7am and I could drop off then. They may unlock the doors at that time but they don't begin bringing cars in until after 8am. I requested a written estimate and was told that they "don't do that" by the guy at the register. He also kept calling me "boss" I arrived home and found an estimate in my inbox with verbal authorization under my signature. How was I able to give verbal authorization when I never saw an estimate? About four hours after I dropped my car off I received a call from a woman who sounded like she had marbles in her mouth. She appeared to suggest about $3,500 of additional work that the technician identified as necessary. Normally I would agree to consider the work but I thought it might be safer to find another mechanic. Freddy was at the till when I picked my car up and I attempted to give him some of this feedback. He let me know that the company is trying to save paper so not providing written estimates. He kept calling me boss and was overall dismissive and rude. It was strange because he appeared accommodating when I made my appointment the day before. read more

This place is great for quick alignment. I have the "lifetime package" so I paid a little more to have unlimited alignments since I do take my vehicle from time to time off-roading and it always needs alignment afterward. The staff and Head Alignment Tech are great to deal with & they know their stuff. Don't hesitate about getting your vehicle worked on there. Reason for 4/5 stars, if you have an appointment and someone gets there before your time, they will still help the other customer before you.. I get it but what's the point of having an appointment and still having to wait around? read more

Called ahead. Made an appointment. Was told it would take 1-1.5 hours. Mentally I figured that meant 2-3 hours. I got there 15 mins ahead of my appointment time. The counter person says "can you leave it until tomorrow"? I explain the conversation. He says, "there is no way I'll be able to get it it today". The sad thing is I was going to add getting a bid on a full set of tires. Extremely disappointed. Why make an appointment. The counter person could care less. I will not be returning read more

I made an online appointment for the store in Bristol Street in Santa Ana. The person at the counter could not find my appointment even when I show him the confirmation on my phone. Do not bring your vehicle here if you care about your car. I made an appointment, dropped off my brand new truck for a simple oil change and tire rotation. They told me it'd be about an hour. I walked to Home Depot and did some other errands nearby. Came back an hour later and they hadn't touched my vehicle. 30 more minutes they said. I went and had some lunch, came back, my truck is still sitting in the parking lot. I go inside and politely complain. Finally, over 3 hours after dropping off my truck they finish. At this point I'm irritated but I understand scheduling can be difficult. Then I notice the damage they did. Every single one of my lug nuts was badly dented at the tip and scuffed badly along the perimeter of the nut. They had obviously on to town on these with an impact gun. Awhile later I go to change my oil myself as I usually do. I see my oil pan drain bolt is stripped pretty bad to the point where I will need to replace it. I go to remove the bolt and this thing is so tight on there I had to grab a longer wrench to get it off. Over torqued beyond my wildest expectations. Then I go to pull my oil filter and it appears to be the same exact one that I had put on. MAYBE they used the same brand that I did, but I doubt it. I don't think they changed it. I inspected the filter and it appeared very well used, beyond what I would expect after running a filter for 4000 miles. I've been doing this kind of maintenance myself for years and the only reason I went here was because I was in a hurry and going out of town the next morning. DO NOT come to the Firestone at 1690 N Tustin. Firestone, you should contact me to make this right. Unbelievably bad work and damage to my vehicle. read more

I took my vehicle to this firestone on Tustin ave. And taft. For brake becuase they were making noise. Took picked it up the next day. They told me they did an oils change aswell Stated the water pump and the back suspension needed work. So the fleet department didnt approve and told me to take it to the dealership for that the day after i tried turning it on in the am it woukd crank and start after a while next day same and so on... i final got some free time. After a week i told them what it was doing and they said they didnt knoww why it was doing that said it might be the water pump. That they recommended repairing. So j take it to the ford dealership and they so some test and call me a few days later and told My there was nothing wrong with the water pump or the back suspension i told them firestone recommended fixing it he said there was nothing wrong and what he also found weird that the fuel cable was disconnected and thats why it would take forever to start read more

I brought my car here for rotation and balancing for I have great tires called Turanza. Fred treated me so well and so honest. He gave me a competitors price for a new battery! The workers found my battery which is 5 1/2 years old is started to fail and I am having them replace it! Rarely these days do you find a garage to be this helpful, kind and honest. I have an AC warning that is displayed but my car's AC definitely works. I had the AC fixed previously but the technician forgot to reset the alert. I do have a wiper fluid leak so I'm leading with this AC issue to see if the auto service is trustworthy. It's no rush on these fixes and I don't need my car much so I just want a reliable and ethical car service team. This place is walking distance so I was rooting for these people. Called in and they were nice on the phone and said it would be $9.99 for a full service inspection. Sounds great. They asked me to come in early so I can get serviced quickly. I was their first customer at 8am and told them about my AC issue and leaking wiper fluid. They said it would take 1-2 hours. 4 hours later I called back and they said oh right yeah your AC needs new freon. (It doesn't) I asked them about the wiper fluid and they said they didn't check yet and that would cost $79 to take a look and lift it up and hook everything up. I asked what they've been up to when those were my only requests and why did I have to get a call back to find out about the AC? They said they were busy but I said I was the first customer. This dude said they had other cars. I said okay sure can you get started on it now? He said they will and it will take 1-2 hours. Which means 4 hours and with me calling back for an update. We hung up and then later they called back and said it's going to be $1700 because I need 2 new tires, new freon, and they have to investigate where the leak is coming from. These dudes are trippin. I said screw it I'll just come pick up my car. I go in 15 minutes after the time it was said to be ready. But they were still disconnecting my car and I had to wait another 30 minutes. Also my $9.99 inspection was actually $50 because reasons. These guys are liars and the workers are both slow and rude. But I don't blame them. I suspect it stems from shady management and training practices. The next day I went to Chapman Auto Repair of Orange with the same story and wow they are so nice, honest, and pleasant. So if you're thinking of going to this Firestone, don't do it. Go to Chapman Auto Repair of Orange. It's 2 miles away. read more

Waited 2 1/2 hours for an oil change. And when I asked for a follow up they kept saying it was almost done or the car would be right out and it took an extra hour and half. They should communicate with their customers better and give them a realistic estimate, no one has time to wait around that long. Definitely a no for me. read more

Don't bother making an appointment with these folks; they're meaningless to them. I brought my car in 10 minutes early for an oil change appointment and 30 minutes past the appointment time they still hadn't touched the car. They didn't even warn me they were running behind. They said nothing to me until I asked. I asked for keys and went elsewhere. read more

Usually we have a good experience at this location but, I am now hesitant to use them after my experience on Saturday, 10-14-17 with Rafael. I bought 2 rear tires and shocks for my F150. I made an appointment and 4 1/2 hrs later my truck is ready to go. $800+ later I walk out to the truck and look at my new tires and shocks to find 1 black shock and 1 silver shock! I walked back inside and asked them why and Rafael responds, "I noticed that too". Really? then say something, don't wait to see if a female notices!!! I guarantee, if I was a man, this would not have happened. It's a truck! You can see the shocks! What the hell were you thinking! I posted photos on this yelp page. Rafael offered to get me a black shock and switch out the silver one. We also asked for a price on the front shocks to which he told my husband he would give us a deal. Sunday, he calls and says he has the shock, come on in. Quotes me $630+ for front shock and says that is the best he can do. I called Firestone in G.G. and he quoted me $530+. Call Rafael back, told him no because a different Firestone was cheaper. Long story short, we went to a different place for the front shock. Took 2 hours and the price was 1/2 off on the labor. Out the door for $350.00. Exact same brand of shocks! No compensation for our inconvenience and frustration and they charge double the price on the parts. We gave Rafael a chance to redeem our trust. Total Fail!. read more

Filed a complaint last week; corporate policy is 48 hours to respond and nobody ever responded. I had an appointment here and was told 90 minutes. I came back over 3 hours later and my car was still where I parked it when I arrived 3 hours earlier. Mechanics were rude, front desk and managers were rude. Waste of time and I missed work as another appointment as a result of being there for over 4 hours when I had an appointment and was told 90 mins. Never going back to this company let alone this location. read more

I have been taking my car to this location for 10 years, I have tried a couple other locations, but always come back. Before Freddy came to this store I had a very bad experience with the manager at the time. I swore I would never come back. One day I decided to give another chance. Since Freddy has come on it is amazing how well it is run and how much it reminds of when I first came to this location. Service was excellent, the waiting area was clean, overall excellent. Thank you, all. read more

I recently visited this location to get a wheel alignment for my car. I was immediately greeted by Rick who was very direct and helpful. I was originally planning on getting a single alignment for $100, but Rick informed me about their warranty program. $199.99 for unlimited alignments for as long as you own the car. He took down my contact info, vehicle, VIN, and odometer reading. I had simply gone into the store to inquire about pricing and the type of equipment they use, but Rick was able to book me for the same day. Granted, I went on a Friday at 1:30 PM (non-peak hour), but it was still convenient to get in same day. Paul performed the actual alignment and was very quick and efficient. It was clear to me that he is very experienced and knowledgeable. The alignment took about 25 min. Overall, I had a great experience. I am happy with the warranty program as well. Thanks guys! read more

George saved my a**. I was able to bring my car in at closing and George repaired my flat. Amazing human!

Do not go here! I called before hand to make sure they had my tire in stock. I showed up after work and the told me to have a seat and it would take about 1 hour. I waited for 45 minutes before they came and told me that they did not have my tire. I could drive to their sister station to have my tire changed. So it went to Big O and got my tire changed quickly and for $20 cheaper! Thx for screwing up Firestone! read more

Called Firestone to check my battery, went to the store on Tustin in Orange, Ca, and asked me if I wanted them to check the alternator also. Of Course I said yes. They told me it was bad and my alternator also. Showed me the meter which showed 10 volts going to my battery which is too low. Quoted me $800.00 for battery and alternator. AND charged me $28.00 for testing the alternator. I said when I called they said free and they said just for the battery. I was a little steamed but paid for the test. So.... I went to Pep Boys. Quoted me $500.00 for both. I went to pick up the car and they told me the alternator was fine. Plenty of voltage. Went home, got out my ohm meter, 14 volts. Either Pep Boys and my volt meters are bad or Firestones'v voltmeter needs adjusting or.... Firestone is crooked. I will drive the car for a couple of weeks and know for sure. Complained to Firestone corporate and they were very nice about it. They will call on Monday. I'll update my post on Monday. Not my first bad experience with this Firestone. I have a whole story about a "bad" radiator and brake calipers for later. read more

I had my truck in for an inspection, tire rotation, and alignment. Didn't disclose they charge for an inspection but only $10 so no biggie. I asked for a copy of the paperwork but got a list of recommendations but no report. Due to other issues didn't do the alignment since would be pointless for dealer warranty work. Two stars more like one because the paperwork says the did the rotation which they did not do. I know this because I have been watching one of my front tires that has some sidewall damage which is in the same location. I called them out and looked at me like I am crazy and said I could wait 30 minutes so they can do what they were already supposed to do. This was their third strike. This location used to be great. No longer. I plan to reach out to their corporate office. This is ridiculous. read more

1 1/2 stars AT BEST I honestly hate writing bad reviews for ANY place but I always have the same exact issue here. Maybe it's my fault for hoping they do a better job... A couple years ago, I dropped off my car because of a flat tire. I dropped it off during my lunch break (12pm) and came back after work (515-ish pm). I asked if my car was done and they said they were just finishing up. After I waited about an hour, my car still wasn't done. I asked for an update and if they happened to align my tires, they said yes and my car is finished. I walked outside and saw my car in the lot, WITH THE SPARE STILL ON. They were actually working on a different car the whole time, thinking it was my car! -_- so after my car was sitting at their shop for over 6 hours, they apologized and gave me a free tire. The free tire is why I gave that 2nd star. I came back today (9/3) with an appointment this time! And with another spare tire. It was clear that I ran over a large piece of glass, hence my flat tire. After 2 hours of waiting, I decided to get an update. They said, "it looks like you have a big hole in your tire and we can't fix it because of two large nails." IT TOOK THEM TWO HOURS TO TELL ME THIS?! Plus, I had my tires check previously, and there were no nails, they were referring to another car! They couldn't distinguish who's car was whose and gave everyone the same story! So after another hour of waiting, they decided to give me a new tire which took another hour and a half... The other main reason for the 2nd star is because the workers that help you out at the computers don't give attitude and are really nice. UPDATE*** So Firestone left the comment on my review, making it seem like they wanted to make up for their mistake. I went through the process: went on the website, gave them my info, explained everything that happened and THEY NEVER FOLLOWED UP WITH ME. They totally made it seem like they cared and never followed up! So rude how they put up a front to make it seem like they cared. Definitely don't appreciate the way they handled the situation. read more

Alright, again I don't know whether we're talking ignorance or dishonesty on this one, but I cannot recommend this repair shop. So, we take in a five year old minivan for an oil change (synthetic). Firestone performs the oil change, says the engine is misfiring, and gives us an estimate for repairs (engine replacement) in the amount of $10k+. Had the vehicle towed to Honda. They inspect the car and note that it does not, in fact, need an engine replacement, and just needs a valve adjustment and tune-up ($1,600). Minivan is working fine now. That was a potential $8k+ overcharge by Firestone. Not peanuts. In addition, Firestone did the synthetic oil change *before* telling us about the alleged need for engine replacement. Why do the work before suggesting an engine replacement? (Replacing the engine would mean having to essentially do another synthetic oil change all over again). read more

Previous to my visit at this location. I went to 2 different Firestones for an alignment and they left the car pulling to the right and then to the left. ONE WORD: COUPONS! Go online and get your friggen coupons fast! Good through May 31st, 2012, Firestone has an unbelievable deal going on. Brake job is $99.99. This is almost half of every other shop out there, yes I did my due diligence and shopped around. PRO TIP: Call ahead for an appointment or to see how the timing is going to work. Now the shocker on this brake swap, free lifetime brake pads for the work you have done. You only need to pay for the cost of the labor and machining of the rotors (if needed [duhhh its always needed lol]). None the less this cuts the cost down to about a hundy for breaks when the normal cost is between $169.99 and $200 for standard brakes. Anyone with a mercedes or bimmer is likely out of luck... PRO TIP #2: You can use multiple coupons at a time; I used the brake coupon and an oil change coupon together. The bad thing, they will drop you back off at work or your house, but they will not pick you up when your vehicle is ready. The customer service is pretty good and Rhyan is on top of things. He deserves to be singled out for calling multiple times and ensuring that my strict timeline was within reason and would be met. Way to go dude! read more
