First of all, they have a professional, accommodating staff. I came in on a Sunday afternoon with a flat tire, needing a patch job. They were a little busy and it took 45 minutes for them to get to my car. But thankfully, they were able to patch my tire up and only charged me about 23 bucks. ended up paying 400$ for an ac dye injection and another 600$ for inspection and replacement of a line. The price is ok but I believe I got ripped off a little. When they called saying it's ready I showed up and the hood wasn't closed properly and I waited 2 hours in the lobby to get it fixed. There were also many broken bolts in the engine bay and underbody panels not fastened properly. They were polite about the incident but I would not recommend anyone service thier vehicle here. read more

The team at this Firestone location is really top notch! They're always respectful and communicative. I've been taking my car there for 3 years now, and they always do a great job in a timely manner! Recently, my ABS module has been throwing warnings, and two guys at this Firestone diligently called multiple vendors and the Suzuki dealership to try to find the part for my car (which hasn't been manufactured for over a decade). 90 minutes to change out a battery. When I walked into the waiting room, there were four people ahead of me. OK, I can wait. 90 minutes later and an additional customer came in. She got her tire service completed before my simple battery change was done. I was literally the last person in the waiting room! Avoid these guys. I walked in and they saw an easy mark because they came out with "You have two other recommendations in addition to your battery. Would you like to handle those now?". No no! After having been loyal for 7 yrs it's time to move on, they have certainly gone down hill. The straw that broke the camels back was them proposing a $2100 front brake job. When I questioned the estimate I was given items like brake calipers etc, that needed to be replaced. As soon as I said I'd come pick it up bc that seems high and got off the phone they called back. Magically the mechanic was able to "unseize the caliper" and the invoice reduced to $830. I told him that I was taking to Pep Boys across the way and they are doing for $530. There was a prior bad experience a month prior with another vehicle where they clearly are just looking to screw customers for sales. It stinks when you can't trust a mechanic. read more

Called last night and made an appointment for this morning, Stephanie had a time that was convenient for me to come in and get my state-mandated car inspection. My car was done close-enough to on-time and I was on my way. You will absolutely want to make an appointment. A couple of people walked in for inspection and they were offered a three hour wait. That's how it is. Firestone doesn't make any money on these inspections unless you need work done, so they don't employ a deep crew of licensed inspectors. Waiting area is okay with coffee and a television. Seats are comfortable but there isn't a power outlet nearby and my laptop was rather low. I see others have had frustrating experiences at this business but for me, all I can say is they saved our family vacation including my daughter's birthday today. I was packing our camper van for our spring break trip last night when I discovered a nail in one of my tires. I frantically called around and got an appointment at Mr. tire at 7:30 this morning but when I showed up, they told me they couldn't even look at my vehicle until mid day. Luckily, I drove straight here and they squeezed me right in. I was in and out in less than an hour and the price was perfectly reasonable. Dropped off two vehicles early one morning, was told that both would be done by the end of the day just for an oil change in both vehicles. I was called 10 minutes before they closed and told one vehicle was ready. I drove over since it was only 2 minutes away to find that neither car had been started on. I waited for 45 minutes for an oil change right then and there after they said it was done. The next afternoon I got a call that the second car was done. And when I got there they were going to overcharge me by $50. I reminded them I only asked for an oil change and they dropped the price down to what it was supposed to be. read more

This place is wonderful, and I do recommend this Firestone. Chad, the manager, is amazing. He went above and beyond to help me, and make sure that I left feeling like all of my concerns were addressed. He is very easy to talk to, and is extremely knowledgeable. He actually fixed issues that I had on my car that were left from another shop. Even though he is a manager, and doesn't need to work in the garage, he went back there and fixed my car himself. One star. Do not recommend. First, I was sitting in my car and one of their associates approached my car and took a picture of the windshield. Then he reached to open my car door without introducing himself. I opened the door before he could, and then he said he needed to take a pic of something on the door. It was just weird. Then my husband gave them our family & friends discount number, as his dad is a retired Firestone Plant employee. The people who worked there gave him the 3rd degree, asking him how old he was and telling him that he was too old for a friends and family discount. The line of questions was exhausting and it was clear the employee just didn't want to give him the discount, even though the ID number was valid. We are Black, and all the people we interacted with are white. We're getting tires from somewhere else. read more

This Firestone location was pretty easy to find. My friend had to take his car here after his tire and spare both blew. He called Firestone and they were the cheapest out of multiple tire and car places in the area. They're having some sort of President's Day sale. Also, they give a solid 10% discount for Cisco employees if you show your Cisco employee I.D. It may be worth it to see if they do discounts for other employees as well because I heard the guy mention that not many Cisco employees knew about the discount. My friend said he was satisfied​ with the service. He got a new tire and a new spare serviced for a little over $200. They took a little longer than they said but still got the service finished in a timely manner. It was nice that they had Wi-Fi and a TV in the waiting area. I showed up at 3:30pm, 2 hours later than planned, just to find out that they hadn't "gotten to my car yet." Just thought it was ironic how the three techs on staff happened to be all outback smoking and no one was available to put a new tire on . I took my car in and requested a front end alignment check. The mechanic assured me that the problem was the front end alignment and I ask them to repare it. I have taken it back 2 times now and have not driven it 20 miles yet and the front end has not been repaired properly but they have already been paid. They never take the time to test drive a vehicle to get it right. Where are the old school car fixing guys who really cared about the business rather than just making a fast buck. I believe the Firestone on nc 55 is taking in to much work to take the time to properly repair vehicles. Production there is more important than getting it right. read more

Horrible service, I had to bring my car there 5 times and they still didn't fix the problem. The manager lied about balancing 2 or the new 4 tires and one of the employees told the truth that they didn't balance it correctly when the car was first brought in. Dishonest, messing, lazy job, and very unprofessional. When I called they put me on hold for 1 hour and the Mgr was trying not to take my call, so I went back to bring my car they ignored me for 30mins. I will never go back to that Firestone and i will make sure others don't go through what I experienced at that Firestone It was a horrible experience I had. I scheduled an appointment yesterday for 6pm and received a confirmation email. When I called to confirm, the associate on the phone told me my appointment was under the wrong name, but he said it would be fine and that they would see us for our scheduled appointment. When my husband arrived for the appointment the associate said that our appointment wasn't in the system and that they were about to close. They kept my car one week before they even tried to get the part. I communicated with them, and one of them showed me what the part looked like on eBay. On the 9/16/21 they told me the part would be here between September 26 and October 5th. I said I don't understand why this is taking so long. I told him he can cancel the part he ordered, and that I got an order for September 28th. On Weds. 9/22/21 I received the part and sent a text message that I would be over with the part. When I got there, they told me they had the part sent overnight, and the car would be ready in 30 minutes, yet they never communicated this to me. I couldn't wait because I drove over there in my husband's car. I said I would get it the next morning. I picked it up, everything seemed fine and while I was driving, I heard something, but I didn't know what it was until I got home. I saw that my hub cap popped off on the left passenger side where they put the valve part on. I looked at the right front hub cap and I see 2 bolts are missing. For a brake job this is the shabbiest work I have ever seen, and the worse service. I had front brakes and an oil change, and the part in the amount of $600 dollars. I replaced two front tires in February of this year, one from Firestone one from Amazon. Just last week I happened to look at my front tires and the fire stone tire is bald and has wire coming out! I call them and the manager argues that my alignment was done incorrectly, no other tire looks like this. I took my Vehicle to the Firestone on Hwy 55 in Durham this morning. I made appointment online. When I got there I saw a driver speeding in a customer's vehicle from the front parking lot of center all the way around to the back of the Firestone center back to the front again then plunging into the open Bay Area. I saw same guy do this. I made James aware of this matter. I stated specifically that I did NOT want anyone doing my vehicle like that!!! My vehicle cost too much money for them to tear it up like that!!! James seemed annoyed when I made the statement!!! He said ok I will let them know. I said I said to James are you the manager he said no Mike is the manager. I said OK can you tell Mike and he say yes I'll tell Mike. It seemed like James did tell everyone what I said because they looked at me looking pissed. Then I started recording my car because I felt uncomfortable by that time. I saw other people go in bay area without any issues. I actually stood outside the bay area recording my vehicle. The customer car speed driver started yelling at me from my car asking why am I recording. I said if u don't have anything to hide it should be just fine sir. Well he yelled at Mike the manager to tell me to stop recording. Mike ran over to me to say stop recording. I said I can record my vehicle. Mike said you can't be recording in MY shop bay anymore. I replied I am not in your bay area sir I am outside bay. Mike said GETAWAY and close the bay door so I could not see my car anymore. Then Mike said GET HER OUT OF HERE!!! The customer car speeder the ran and got a machine and got back in my car telling Mike my check engine light was on now!!! I yelled back my check engine light was NOT on in the beginning because James AND I checked together when he signed me in. The speeder would not give me my key fob and key to my vehicle. I had to wait about 23 minutes before He gave key to James. I was about to call my husband and police for harassment. They did not honor my oil change I paid for, they Put a cut in one of my back tires. My tires are EXPENSIVE They left oil hand prints on my hood. I recorded IT ALL and Took Pictures!!! I have recording of him speeding in my car completely coming around the back of Firestone to the front where I was. He was laughing. My car is driving wobbly now. Not sure what is wrong. I filed a complaint and claim. Tying to determine if my insurance will cover any damage made by FIRESTONE!!! I live in Chapel Hill but this location is close to where I work so it is convenient to me. So this last Saturday, I had 2 check engine lights go on in two of my cars. Took our old one in because figured it would be an oxygen sensor (we had just replaced plugs and ignition coil last week). Turns out it was the catalytic convertor. Plus about another $1200 in repairs of stuff that is just failing. So Edwin was the person who took care of us. The other reviews say they try to upsell stuff but they've done the exact opposite with me. He just went through the list of repairs that were being suggested and asked what I wanted to have done. So with the estimated $4000 price tag, made the decision that the 2004 needs to be retired next year. So then in talking with him, I told him about my daughter's car with the new check engine light. We took it to Pep Boys for our first check engine light at Thanksgiving. That resulted in a new set of plugs. But we got sold the premium platinum plugs for probably an extra $100. And they wanted to add plug wires also for another $200. So the light comes back and we take it back to Pep Boys and they are clueless. No codes coming up for oxygen sensor but they recommend replacing it anyway. We pick up the 2004 and ask the staff if they have an idea what could be causing it. With the symptoms they say it is not an oxygen sensor but if we can drop it off, they can figure it out. Turns out to be a dirty mass airflow sensor. And again, here's the price to replace it or you can wait it out and see if it comes back. No pressure, all the information we needed to make a decision. (again Edwin helped us out). They are getting me tires for my 3rd car. They probably could have sold me really expensive tires for my sports car but the manager thought it best just to keep the same brand that I currently have on the car (the rear tires are a special size and not all brands carry them). But they are special order for them so it would be a few days to get them in. They quoted a lower price than the dealer or Pep Boys. And he called me back about 10 minutes later to tell me that there was a $5 or $10 per tire shipping charge and wanted to make sure that I knew that. For the reviewers that say the cars take too long to fix, issues come up in auto repair. Fix one thing and something else can go wrong. People don't return phone calls to give approval for repairs and so the cars have to wait. Technicians are out sick. So if you are getting anything done except an oil change, you really need to make an appointment and plan on leaving it there for most of the day. That's why these places are open until 7 or 8 at night. read more

After going in for one tire they called to tell me all four needed to be replaced. When I asked them how much they said it would be 745.00. I drive a Chevy spark and one tire was going to be around 150.00. I asked him to clarify that it was only for the tires and ailment he said yes. He then mentioned the credit card. I said no and asked about other options. I asked about two tires and he then mentioned the credit card again. I again said no. He then said I was being unsafe on the road because I wasn't going to replace all my tires and get an alignment. I told him a plan to replace them slowly which was what find my budget and he AGAIN mentioned the credit card. I hung up to crunch the numbers and decided just to do one then replace them slowly. Before I hung up the phone he mentioned the credit card yet again to me! I picked up my car and the 700.00 was for four tires, two air filters and replacing the battery! I've never had any problems with my battery and just got my air filter redone when I got my oil changed! I will not be going back. I asked to have my fluids topped off, and the manager Mike, said they can't top off brake fluid or p/s fluid. Car was done on time and when I was about to tip the kid for changing my oil, I asked if he checked and topped off my fluids other than the ones the shop didn't do and his response was, I was only told to do an oil change. But, wait, it gets better. When I ask Mike, why the other fluids were not checked or topped off, his response was nobody tops off fluids, not any of the Firestone, Jiffy Lubes or even the dealers, only small mom and pop shops do. he then went on to say that if the fluids are low, then their is a leak, and that should be addressed.
