This business put the wrong tires on my rear in September 2025-Laufenn Kept one tire. I paid $448.36 for Kelly Edge tires in March 2024. Gave me one Kelly Edge as a spare. In March 2026 - the Manager tell me my tires are real bad- I am discovering their error six months later and now he wants another $ 200 for more tires. I purchased in September 2 Iron Man tires for over $300.00. This company is dishonest- not trust worthy. They failed to inspect my car after the work was done to ensure the proper tires was placed on my vehicle. I paid for an alignment $155.00 in September with their "dumpster" tires on my car. These people now wants another $685.00 for two tire and alignment and tie rod that was created by their carelessness. read more

I was glad to see my MotorCoach was rolling on Michelin Tires when I made the purchase, in my opinion the Michelin brand has always been synonymous with quality and are the market leaders. When I was looking to purchase a spare tire being these big rigs come without one) I certainly couldn't settle for anything less than what came on my rig. After speaking with a number of my fellow RVers who's opinions differ than mine, being it's just a spare and there are much cheaper options and it's likely that once you get to a service center you can have the original tire with the issue repaired or replaced so a spare is just a spare so save some money - to each his own I guess my mind doesn't work like that. I'll carry this tire unmounted being I would never attempt to change a tire of this size anyways, for one I don't have the equipment to do the work even if I wanted too and this spare tire can be mounted on any axel by the roadside assistance technician. This 275/80R 22.5 weighs about 114 pound off the rim and is about 40" in diameter and holds up to 120 psi (pounds per square inch) of compressed air, I run about 36 psi in my Jeep tires, these big rig tires requirement a professional. These tire aren't inexpensive but it's all relative - with Michelin's 700,000 mile or 7 year tread warranty it likely these tires will date code out long before they show much wear, at least in this application. There are lots of options out there but in my experience these guys are the industry's leader so I'll save my money and when it come time to replace all of my rig's tires I'll ante up and buy these again - for me it's all about trust, confidence and most importantly it's about safety and I'm not prepared to put a price on that... read more

I am so thankful for this place! I discovered I had a nail in my tire when I got to my truck at the airport and was desperate to find a place to help fix my flat before all the tire shops closed. I called this location and Andrew answered and agreed to help fix my tire even though they were closing. He stayed late to help me, and I cannot express how much I appreciate this. I live close to this business. I have tried to use this business as it is local. Never again as it is consistently very poor service and selection. This last occasion, I wanted a NC state inspection. I requested an appt, via the website but don't waste your time as they don't respond. I went in 15 minute prior to my request appt. and they didn't even know about the request. The answer was did we confirm not how can I help you. Then it was well you can just leave you car and we'll get to today... Not happening again. Last time they said this to get 2 tires on my car, it was there for 2 days. I hate being held hostage and no I will not leave my car. I asked can you give me a time to come back when someone will be available. The answer was no just wait around for 1.5-2 hours until it can be done. Nope. Went in for new tires and state safety inspection. Got tires, then got home to a message that they "forgot" to do the inspection even though they charged me for it. Returned (a 25 minute drive) to have it completed and pointed out to associate they charge me for emissions inspection when I'd explicitly informed them - both in the appointment request and in person - that the county in which I live requires ONLY safety ($13.50 fee set by state) and NOT emissions ($16.50 fee also set by state). But they had charged me $30.00. Was refused refund of overpaid amount because "It was charged yesterday." Pure and utter BS. read more

I trust my car at Mr tire for speedy annual NC inspections and helping me with repair situations. About a month after inspection, my 2010 Toyota Corolla suddenly took on a rattling sound in the tail pipe area. I called Mr Tire to ask if this was something that they would work on for me? They explained they could replace my tail pipe assembly but suggested instead I should take my car to Meineke for tail pipe review because maybe I needed a smaller part of work to resolve my problem. I did this and was super impressed that my car was eventually fixed with only the addition of two washers in the heat shield area (to stop the heat shield from sitting on the exhaust pipe). I have continued to appreciate having annual inspections at Mr Tire!!! read more

I went here a week ago for an oil change a change from the Jiffy Lube I typically go to, and I had received great service here! I was surprised I wasn't hearing pushy up selling since most places do. Mr. Tommy assisted me and explained what areas I may need service in like my tires (I knew they needed to be changed) so he presented me my options and explained each one. Needless to say I went with a new set, and I'm very pleased. The cost was reasonable for 4 new tires and the oil change and the staff are professional. I stopped by this site for a tire rotation and alignment. I was greeted immediately with warmth and given an estimate it would take an hour to have my car serviced. I decided to wait and walk around the area. I returned in an hour and my car had not been serviced. I asked for an update and was told my car would be serviced soon. At 9:20am my car was taken in for service and was returned to me by 9:50am. I went to pay and the jovial gentleman behind the desk said for my patience, the service was free. I brought my car here KNOWING (could see it) that there was a nail in my tire. Knew it was a slow leak because I had driven about 40 miles on my tire already after filling it and the light had just gone off again. Dropped off said I'd pick up after work. Then received a call around 4:30 that there was a gash in my side wall. So while skeptical I let it go. I needed my car back. So I told them I'd be in the next day to pick it up. Show up to pick up my car, paid, walk out to my car and immediately notice there isn't a new tire on my car (pro-tip if your car is dirty it's easier to spot a new tire amongst the old ones). Checked the tire and find that the nail is gone and instead there is a patch. Walk the car 3x to be sure I'm not losing it. Walk back inside and mention to the man behind the desk (whom I'll name after I speak with Corp and the store manager) immediately begins my refund when I mention that there is no new tire on my car. He doesn't even walk out to verify the "mistake" just says "f***" under his breath and immediately initiates the refund. I have already called Corp and will be calling the store manager (whom was conveniently out) tomorrow. My guess is that they didn't assume a youngish girl would notice and took the opportunity to stash an additional $200. Have used other Mr. Tires and have for the most part had good experiences. Always been able to get an appointment and have my cars oil changed and tires rotated in a short time. I called this Mr. Tire last week to book an appointment and I came in 30 minutes early as the person I talked to had told me showing up early would probably get me out of here by my appointment time. The associate at the front deal then proceeded to tell me that it would be two hours minimum and when I reminded them that it was an appointment not just a drop off they said that an appointment only guarantees that I will be seen today. Very frustrating as I have a very busy schedule and do not have time to sit around and wait. Edit: Got home and checked the oil as I never saw my truck enter the garage and I was sitting by the window that looks into the garage. Oil looked fairly dirty. I called and spoke to Tom and he stated it was done and the reason the oil looks dark is because its been ran a lot since it was done and I explained that I drove less than 10 miles home and he goes well it's because you dont change your oil as frequently as you should and I explained I do it very routinely every 3000-5000 miles and he goes well we did it and I asked why it looked so dirty and he said that they did it and the only thing they didnt do was tires cause of the tire lock then hung up. Very rude poor customer service. Also whoever was in their with a Jeep Grand Cherokee on 7/18 just wanted to inform you one of the techs came up to Tom as Tom was rushing him to get it done and the tech explained that he can't because (his exact words) " the dumbass motherfucker who owns the car doesn't...". Figured it was time for an update. First, they brought back the old manager they had years ago and things have been much better in terms of customer service and overall experience. It's starting to feel a bit more like a family owed place. As far as Mr. Tire places are concerned, this is definitely one of the better branches out there. It certainly is more expensive than other locally owned shops, but the convenience of their location and their customer service has been worth it to us - at least for all the usual maintenance issues like brakes, oil changes, new battery, tires, etc. I appreciate that they've cut back on the upselling - they do let you know recommended maintenance and will give you a heads up on things that might need replacing in the near future, but they don't make you feel terrible for not doing it right away. I also appreciate the little things like the time when they replaced a light bulb for us and then the bulb went out again a short time later and they replaced it again for us for free. read more

My family has been going here for20 years 75 .00 for a oil chance and filter for a 4 cyclinder 20 year old honda seeems steep, I would never get any work done here since they charged me 950.00 for front brakes on a 2004 explorer. I see the poor ratings, but I needed chains for the mountains this weekend, figured I would see if they had any. I am new to NC and so I do not know the laws on chains. However when I went in here, the guys response when I asked to buy chains was "that is illegal in NC, and most eastern states, maybe in the mountains you can but if they catch you they will ticket you". OK well I won't get any chains then and just wing it. But then I go and actually look it up. http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/EnactedLegislation/Statutes/HTML/BySection/Chapter_20/GS_20-122.html "No tire on a vehicle moved on a highway shall have on its periphery any block, stud, flange, cleat or spike or any other protuberance of any material other than rubber which projects beyond the tread of the traction surface of the tire, except that it shall be permissible to use farm machinery with tires having protuberances which will not injure the highway and except, also, that it shall be permissible to use tire chains of reasonable proportions upon any vehicle when required for safety because of snow, ice or other conditions tending to cause a vehicle to slide or skid. It shall be permissible to use upon any vehicle for increased safety, regular and snow tires with studs which project beyond the tread of the traction surface of the tire not more than one sixteenth of an inch when compressed." So yes just like every state, chains are NOT illegal here, they are used for heavy winter conditions and can be used on snow and ice when needed. read more

Tom was great with my second set of Michelin tires from this location. Their initial quote was a little high, but that was probably because it included the road hazard which I didn't need. They didn't have the tires in stock, but found them locally and had them in the store within 24 hours. The ticket was all written up ahead of time, only took an overnight to get them installed and balanced / aligned, etc. The whole experience was just like the first one with these folks, friendly, courteous and reasonably priced. If I should ever need a 3rd set of tires (heaven forbid) I will start with the Mr. Tire shop on Miami Blvd just off TW Alexander in Durham. B.Monnier read more

I have used this Mr. Tire several times only due to its convenient location. Unfortunately, that convenience becomes moot when I cannot get the car services I am promised. When I asked to get my brakes fixed and a state inspection at the same time (which they said they could do when I made the appointment), they did the inspection and a brake check. When I picked it up, they said my brakes needed fixing and I should consider coming back sometime. Even though that was the whole reason I dropped my car off--the inspection was just because it was convenient to do at the same time. When I tried to get my tire patched, they said they were too busy but guaranteed it would be done in the morning. The guy at the front said, "Come back tomorrow, we will get it done first thing, even if I have to do it myself." I brought it back in the morning, was told there would be a 90 minute wait. 3 hours later, my car isn't even pulled back yet, and their only answer when I said I was told 90 minutes was, "Well somebody told you wrong." Sat in their gross "waiting room" for 2 hours for an oil change and my car didn't move from the parking lot the entire time

This place is right around the corner from my house so very convenient but I will never go back. I have been 3 times and tried to give them a chance but every time was horrible! 1st visit - I took the rims and tires to them and I needed the tires put on the rim (not on the truck). This took them ALL day. They had the rims and tires from about 9am-4pm. Not to mention when I would call to check the status of them they were extremely rude. 2nd visit - My husband took his truck to have it inspected and they said drop it off and we will get it done for you. Dropped it off at about 10am and called around 3pm to check and see what was going on. "It is next." When we didn't hear back, we went to get it at 4pm and they were about to pull it in and we told them not to and took it somewhere else. 3rd and final visit - Took my truck for an alignment. I had a 10am APPOINTMENT. I dropped it off and went home. Called at 12:30 to see what was going on. "As soon as he is done with his sandwich he is going to get right on it." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? But my truck was driving horrible so I needed it done. Finally at 1:30ish they called and said I needed lower ball joints and they could not align it. Took my truck yesterday to Swift Auto and they did the alignment with no issues in about an hour and no ball joints needed!!! read more

Called over to North Duke st in Durham, Was told its at least 2 to 3 hours wait. Called over to Miami Blvd, Was told there wasn't any inspectors here today. Seriously??? My company sends them there fleet service and it never fails, you always have to leave your truck overnight for and oil change of 4 new tires. I've been here a total of three times. I gave Mr. Tire a shot and it got progressively worst. Visit #1: I went for an oil change. I got the high mileage oil change as my car was reaching 100k at the time. Everything went fine until the final call to pick up, where "R" rattled off a few things that were recommended to up sell me on. The first was new wind shield wipers. I replaced by wipers fairly recently, but because of the make of my car, it requires two different wiper sizes. He addressed this by explaining he could replace them to get the same brands on there. After I passed on that, he explained I should have my cabin air filter replaced. I said okay go for it. When I came to pick up my car, he explained how my air filter was a pain in the butt to replace. Visit # 2: (05/17) My car rwas in dire need of a tune-up. I scheduled an appointment online. I left the appropriate comments of what I needed, a tune-up, oil change, brake inspection and tire rotation. I got an e-mail confirmation that the time was fine and to bring it on in. I came in as scheduled to drop it off. I left "R" know the symptoms before the tune-up (running rough during idle times) and he quoted me a price of ~$285. An hour after I left, I received a call from "R" explaining he misquoted me on the price of the tune-up. He explained that my car has 4 spark plugs and he quoted me for only one. The price jumped to ~$486. I told them to go ahead and continue with the tune-up. I picked up my car, "R" apologizes again and reiterates the mix-up but doesn't mention anything else in regards to service my car needs based on what I asked them to review. As I get into my car, I noticed that the fresh service sticker is dated for 09/15 and for only 3000 miles from the current mileage; conventional oil. Shortly after my second visit, my car starts to make a screeching noise under the front right wheel when I take a left turn or sporadically while I am driving. I decided to take it back to see if it was something due to the last visit. I schedule an appointment online. I get a call from "C" while I am at work explaining we need to figure out another time as that slot is taken. I call him back later, and after a brief tiff the appointments stood. Visit #3 I get there a few minutes early to drop off my car. I explain I have a 9 am to drop off my car to diagnose a noise that started after my last visit. I give him my name and spell out my last name, but he is not able to pull me up. He doesn't seem to be able to find my appointment, so as he is fumbling, I pull up my e-mail confirmation for the appointment via phone. With my full name, date and time of the appointment, location, etc. He decides to build an entirely new profile for me and says they will take a look. I explain what the problem is and from what I've research is more than likely the culprit. A tab from the dust cover in the back of the rotor is causing the noise as it may not have been seated properly after the inspection and rotation pf the previous visit. Already, my BS meter is tingling. I leave and about an hour later I get a call from the technician explaining he cannot find the noise. I explain it usually occurs when your take a left turn and it is very noticeable when the windows are rolled down and it comes from the front right wheel rotor. He says okay ,he will take another look ,but he thinks it may be the compressor. BS alert! Then about two hours later the technician calls back and explains they still cannot recreate the noise. They have me go back to the shop, wait for the technician to give him a drive around the building to recreate the noise. Guess what, he heard it. So, he said he will take another look and will pull my car into the bay in ten minutes. Close enough to his word he pulls my car in, puts it on a lift and takes the tires off. He spends 3 minutes circling the car and then disappears. I get the opportunity to watch this as I wait in the lobby as I was ready to just take my car and leave before he finally heard the actual noise. After waiting for another 30 minutes I get a call from the front desk apologizing about the mix up earlier, he apparently was spelling my last name wrong and didn't grasp the name I was saying, spelling or showing him. I let him know I am in the waiting room and walk over. He explains they found out the noise and says its the brakes. He attempts to explain that the noise is the result of needing to replace all my pads and rotors for the tune of $750. I asked him why this wasn't discovered and addressed during visit # 2 when I specifically requested the brakes be inspected. I call him on his bluff and tell him I'll just take my car back and get a second opinion. I asked for a printed estimate of repairs to compare prices and he fiddles around and explains he is unable to print an estimate for me, but offers to let me take a picture of the screen on my smart phone... read more

Just had my oil changed. While doing the free tire rotation as part of the service they found a small spot of uneven wear. They pointed it out to me, I said just put on the spare. They did that at no extra charge and DID NOT try to upscale me new tires. They accepted the special coupon with no question. All the employees were very professional.
