Made an online appointment for an oil change. We've used Firestone in two other states for maintenance on the vehicle and all the records are available in their system. We parked in the lot by the bay doors and checked in with the service underwriter. He verified some info, asked if we were going to wait. When we said we would get some lunch and return he made a few suggestions of restaurants in walking distance. Very cordial and friendly. After we returned the vehicle was on the lift and we had a seat in their waiting area. We chatted a bit more with the staff who made some recommendations of things to do in the area. These guys were really great. There are many bays in this building. The waiting area is pretty small compared to the number of bays so I guess most people do not wait. There are many dining and shopping options within walking distance. The mechanic seems very knowledgable, made some recommendations, finished up and we were out in fairly good time. We would definitely return to this location when in the area again. read more

Believe the 2-star ratings. They were soft launching scamming right in front of my face and were not listening to me when I expressed to them I did not want any work done, and I am assuming the reason they take forever to get to anyone's car is because they are doing unnecessary and UNWARRANTED work on fixing things on people's vehicles that they didn't ask for. I scheduled a free inspection for 5 PM and specifically mentioned that one of my concerns was the motor mount. The employee helping me said they would "start working on it first thing in the morning" so they could order parts if needed. I immediately clarified again that I only wanted an inspection and that if I decided to do any repairs, it would be on a different day. She said okay and I left the keys. That's when I left and looked through the reviews and there's a common theme of them consistently doing work on cars that the customer didn't ask for. That made me uncomfortable, so I went back to get my car and told them I'd bring it in first thing the next morning instead, so then I'd have time to think about it. Then the same lady I told that I didn't wanna any work done goes "are you sure? if there's something wrong with your motor mount you shouldn't be driving it." Like yes? If I wasn't sure I wouldn't be asking for my keys back. At that point, it felt like they were trying to pressure me into leaving the car there for repairs I didn't want. So, I repeated again that I only wanted the inspection and was not authorizing any work. On top of all of this I wasn't greeted until 10 minutes after walking in. I don't know where the disconnect is or why they can't listen, but overall poor customer service. Just Don't go here unless you want to wait only to get scammed out of your money. read more

I made an appointment to get two new tires and an alignment and even dropped my car off a day early. Asked them to check the TPMS light and replace any bad sensors. Picked it up the next day and they had put 4 new tires. So I though well maybe they all needed to be replaced and paid almost$1500 for the job. My wife drove the car home and after she got home she said the TPMS light was still on. I looked at the receipt and they claimed I had refused to replace the sensors. I did not get a call from anyone to approve the work or decline it. Also, they did not provide a data sheet for the alignment and the receipt said that there was nothing wrong with the alignment. The reason I had to replace a right front tire was due to an alignment issue. the tire had worn to the point that cords where showing on the inside tread resulting in a tire failure so there had to be a alignment problem. they had all 4 tires changed and they could have changed the sensors at that time and be done with it. But instead they recommend that I spend additional $266.00 to diag. and dismount every tire to install sensors that could have been done with the tire job. They want more money and my time to fix a problem that I asked to be fixed in the first place. Bottom line is I don't trust them and will no longer be using this store for my tire needs in the future. I'll either go to another Firestone location or a Different tire vendor. read more

Shout out to the Firestone in Covington, especially their team member, Eric who went above and beyond to stay two and half hours after closing to make sure my car was completed and returned to me as promised, so I can go to my nephew's wedding the next day. Up until last week, I didn't even know Firestone, fixed car AC's. I thought they were strictly tires. They were pretty busy this morning when I dropped off my car at 10AM. They were short staffed, then the Condenser and other parts didn't get delivered for my car after they had already flushed and taken apart my old AC. so then they scrambled to find someone to pick it up from the Burien location. ‍ The AC works great now! STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. Brought my car in for a brake inspection, car shook a bit when braking. Was told new pads, rotors were needed because pads were "nearing end of life". Then was called to say wheel bearings were needed and my bill would be $1400. I got a 2nd opinion because that made no sense. Lo and behold pads were at 6mm, bearings were fine and rotars needed to be turned, final bill from another shop $200 and problem solved. read more

I stopped by with no appointment because I noticed a nail in my tire and wanted to just get the back two rears replaced but unfortunately had to have all 4 changed. a bit pricey but safety is what matters most. I brought a Firestone tire to Firestone that had a nail in it they said because of the angle of the nail it was not repairable and wanted to sell me a new tire for $280 I wasn't going to pay that much.I loaded the tire back into my car yes I brought just the tire and rim. I went to Les Schwab and they fixed it for free this is not the first time I've had issues with Firestone. It's bad enough to have to pay that much for a tire, but for a business to take advantage of you is unacceptable. Don't be afraid to get a second opinion. Poor customer service and communication at the Covington Firestone. The Managers need to be in alignment with the employees who are scheduling services. I called 3 times to confirm an alignment on a slightly lifted 4Runner because I am fully aware that some Firestones will not touch modified vehicles. A week later after confirming a lifetime alignment on my truck I go in for my appointment to have the front desk person reject my lifetime alignment purchase even though I called and checked in with them 3x before coming in for my appointment. What a disappointment and waste of time. FYI - I was serviced by different Firestone nearby and they will also honor the lifetime alignment on my vehicle. Avoid these guys. This is another one-star review to add to their wall of shame. They will waste your time and money with errors and poor skills. I wanted a set of new tires. They put the wrong tires on, then did not have time to correct their error and put on the tires on I wanted for a few days. They replaced a TPMS sensor but were unable to reset the TPMS system, said I had to go to Toyota for that because "something must be wrong with the wiring". Toyota reset it withe no problem. Made an appointment over the phone for a third part tire installation. When I went, they said I didn't have an appointment while a tech was sitting in the lobby with his friend. There are multiple tire shops in Covington that do better business, so I would advise to do business else where if you want to actually get work done. Very disappointed. I have lifetime all wheel alignment on my car. I got new tires and wheels and wanted the alignment checked. After accepting the appointment and arriving 15 minutes early they decided to try to charge me extra after putting the car on the rack because it was going to take longer than anticipated due to a service bulletin explaining they needed to disconnect 2 bolts (easy access) before adjusting the alignment. I pointed out I have an all wheel lifetime alignment and I've had it done before. I was told that's just how it is and they would remove it from the rack unless I paid extra. Supposedly, they only had 1 technician and wouldn't be able to get me in until Wednesday. First off, I don't ever write Yelp reviews. But I wanted to recognize this particular shop for how they helped us. Our family had just come down off the pass. It was dark, raining, we had three kids in the back, and we were trying to get to their grandparents house. Sounds like a novel, I get it. But it was our reality, and it was about to suck. Our Yukon overheated on highway 18, smoke was billowing out, and it was pretty much a disaster. By grace of God, we pulled in to this Firestone about an hour before they closed. We thought we'd have to leave it overnight at minimum, and had no idea what were going to do with all our luggage (we were visiting family for Christmas). Mike and his team were AWESOME. They diagnosed the broken valve, not only found the part, but then drove to another location to get it (read that part again) - then installed it in about 40 minutes (while they were basically closing) while my cranky kids ate at the adjacent Chick-Filet. Price was fair, and they were super courteous the whole time. So yeah - thanks, guys. Seriously. I owe you one. read more

She did not receive any type of notification that afternoon so she finally called them to see if it was ready for pickup at 5:40. She was informed that no it was not ready because they were short handed. Where is the customer service call saying they couldn't get to it earlier or at all? Wasted a day for crummy service. Went in at 2:45 looking to get a simple tire patch done because Les Swab is not open on Sundays. Asked the guy at the counter if they did that sort of a thing in which he replied yes, but could do it because they were on there last job for the day and closed at 4. I was more then willing to wait but the guy at the counter just seemed annoyed that I was even there. No wonder why they are getting their ass kicked by Les Swab. Sorry to say I have been giving them 2nd, 3rd chances to get my alignment right on my car for the past 15 years and Every time they fail to get it right the 1st time and usually even the 2nd time. I bought a lifetime alignment for my car 15 or so years ago and every time I take it to them (yes Im a slow learner) they get it wrong. Sometimes the 2nd time its OK or drivable or sometimes I take it to another firestone and sometimes they do a better job, sometimes not. This last time was the final straw. I knew it was 100% but it was drivable and the tires weren't wearing funny, it just didn't handle like it should (Dodge Stealth All wheel drive, all wheel steering. Ive been driving it for a while and noticed one side of the car was sitting about 1in lower than the other and took it to a shop to have it inspected I have had success working on one of my other cars (2001 BMW X5) to inspect it. They found 2 nuts on the rear control arm almost really to fall off. They tighten them, re aligned it and now my car steers/drives like it is supposed to. There is a TSB on how to do my alignment and every time I tape it to the steering wheel so the tech will be sure to see it because several time when I have told the manager or even the tech the tend to ignore it and do it wrong. Ive even had the technician come back to tell me they ignored the TSB because it is for a Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 and not a Dodge Stealth RT/TT. Same car, same manufacturer. Dodge did not build these. Everything on the car says Mitsubishi except a couple body emblems. Idiots. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don't come here if you expect your car to be worked on at your appointment time. Had an appointment at 4 for a simple oil change, was told it will be about an hour. I go outside and see my car parked in the lot at 5 and ask if I can have my keys and go. Am told that they are first pulling the car in. I sat for an entire hour and nobody told me that there was a delay. It's now 5:30 and my car still isn't done. Will never be coming back here again. I took my car there a few years ago because the tire was leaking air and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Les Schwab later found a nail in the tire. I recently tried to schedule an appointment to repair another flat and was told I didn't have an appointment despite scheduling online and getting a confirmation email. Do yourself a favor and have your automobile serviced somewhere else, even if it costs you triple. Got my oil changed , they never put my oil cap on, oil sprayed all over engine bay, hood, grille, bumper. Oil fumes were suffocating me inside the car which prompted me to finally open the hood and see what's going on. See pictures I posted. I clearly told them on the phone that the cap was never put on, I have pictures to prove it from the time I first opened the hood. Instead of owning up to their ridiculous mistake, they were acting defensive and saying the cap was put on but was screwed on too tight and flew off. I had to show the pictures once more, how the cap was never put on, it was still sitting there by the windshield before I brought it in. They didn't even have the courtesy to properly wash off my hood, see pics. Still had oil stains and finger prints after they were done "cleaning" it. Nobody apologized for wasting my Saturday, no free oil change for next time, nothing. My wife had to take the car in and she was definitely not happy because she expected high pressure sales. Didn't happen. I was able to schedule an appointment online, find the tires I wanted including the price, and check their availability. The day of the appointment i called Firestone to explain what I wanted them to do. They took the notes so that when my wife got there they told her what they were going to do. Definitely a good experience for my wife. Very happy that they didn't pressure my wife into thinking she needed anything else. Will definitely go back. read more

Been going to Firestone since I started driving. If I were you, I suggest driving an extra 10-15 minutes to literally ANY other location other than this one. Don't even bother making an appointment. There is literally no point. Anytime I make an oil change appointment I ask "How long is it estimated to take?" They always say "An hour to an hour and a half." Cool. So I show up for my appointment a few days later, and it takes nearly 3-4 hours!!! This is not a one time thing, this is every, single, time we drop off a vehicle. Sometimes we drop a vehicle off at opening and say just call us when you're done with it - half the time they don't call us, so we have to call them. Or they call us 15 minutes before they close to tell us it's done. When you sit in the waiting room for hours, you really get to know the other customers. I've met other customers who sat there for 5+ hours waiting for something, a few that even had to return the next day because their vehicle still wasn't done. I've never heard a single person say anything positive about their experience here. I think my favorite conversation I ever had with one of the employees was when my "appointment" took over 4 hours, and I said to the guy "Wow, usually I'm done in about 45 minutes, this is kinda ridiculous for a scheduled appointment to take 4 hours when you guys quoted me an hour to an hour and a half" to which he replies, "You aren't getting a good oil change then, nobody can do it that fast. I wouldn't continue going there." To which I replied, "Really? I'll have to let your Tukwila and Renton locations know how you feel about them." The guys that work the front counter are never friendly. And dude, just cause I'm a girl and maybe I don't know the most about cars, doesn't mean you need to be so pushy. If I say no to something the first 3 times you ask me, the answer is still no. Please learn to be respectful. For real though, the Renton Highlands location is not that far away and the customer service is exceptional - and they usually get your car done quicker than in the quoted time. They initially didn't know what car I was having aligned because they assumed I was doing a car that had a lifetime alignment... even though I was asking how much the 1 time costs.. but I could have also been more clear. The car drives great though. New tires were also mounted. I gave them a 3 star due to: 1. the assumption, although I could have been more specific, they could have also asked more questions like which vehicle it was for because I do have an account and they would have realized this car has never been there. 2. Would be the quality of there work when the tires were mounted to the wheels. I walked out to the car to find Vaseline type lubricant all over my tires and wheels like they didn't care to clean up there work. Something so simple can show the true mentality and focus that is happening at there shop. And furthermore, there were slow enough to be standing around when I came to pick up my vehicle, so they definitely had time to do a better job mounting my tires. Customer service overall was good though. I was helped promptly. And I've been to enough big name tire shops and to know that there is no point in "waiting" at the shop because you know it's going to take a few hours. They said they had been trying to contact us but we got no calls, no voicemail, nothing. They used an impact drill to put back on my wheels after I got two tires changed and I went to take them off to finish putting in subframe bushings and lug nuts were reefed on there so tight that I broke two torque wrenches just trying to get them off AND on top of that they scratched the paint on my rims and didn't wipe the lard/lubricant off after installment probably on purpose to make sure I wouldn't notice. Don't go here for anything! I'm not one to usually complain and I typically just take things with a smile but I have to post this for the safety of others. I have been going to this Firestone for the past 3 years (why so long I don't know. Convenience?) I've purchased tires from them, breaks and oil changes. Here are my experiences ... Originally I bought new brakes and tires for my husbands Ford Ranger. That seemed to go well and they had a good credit program which helped a ton. (We have since sold our truck so I have no follow up review on that) I started taking my Acura there for an oil change. That seemed to go well too. Then things started changing. I got new brakes for my Acura and an oil change. *At every oil change I get my tires rotated. I noticed after I got my brakes installed my car would still 'squeak' so I called and made another appointment. The tech said it was some sort of leftover residue and he tried to get as much of it off as he could. I was like okay, whatever as long as my breaks are good. However my brakes still squeak every time I back up my car (over 2 years later). The next time I went in for an oil change/ tire rotation they said they couldn't rotate the tires because they couldn't find the lug lock to remove the wheels. That was odd as I hadn't taken my car anywhere else. My husband and I looked everywhere for it. They ended up taking my locked lugs off and changing them out for plain ones. (I didn't want to get stuck on the side of the road without my lug lock key) I haven't had any major things done to my Acura since then except my oil changes with tire rotation/ general inspections and other minor recommended things like filter changes. Well last Monday (2/1/16) I had my routine oil change and tire rotation/ inspection. I paid for it and left with my inspection report which told me the air pressure in my tires before and after, tire tread and that my tires were rotated. There were no recommendations for new tires and I was given the impression everything looked okay. That weekend I was driving from Covington to Seattle via I-5 and my left front tire completely blew on the freeway. Thankfully my Acura doesn't take huge tires so I was not ripped off the road. I am 6 months pregnant and if my car had been effected I would have run straight into the wall and been gravely injured (myself and my unborn child). I took my car to Les Schwab at that point because it was close. They told me multiple things First, my tires had not been rotated in a very long time. Second, this was evidenced by the nearly bald front tires. So what kind of tire rotation are they performing at Firestone?? And why would a tire company currently having a tire sale not try to sell me new tires if I obviously needed them? Les Schwab told me I should have gotten new tires a long time ago.(and NO I never told them I was going to Firestone so no they weren't being biased. I'm sure they just thought I was some naive driver which I am) After purchasing a set of 4 brand new tires, Les Schwab suggested I make an appointment to get my car realigned. I will be taking my car to Les Schwab for this and I will be asking them to check my brakes too because I now think those were installed incorrectly as well. In summary I trusted Firestone to take care of my car. After my life and that of my unborn child were in danger I found out Firestone had been lying to me about my services. If I find out anything about my brakes I will be doing everything I can to find Firestone negligent in their care of my vehicle. Don't go here for anything. read more

When I arrived just before 5:00 all the bays were closed and the front door was locked. My vehicle was not in the parking lot. I knocked on the door and the woman inside said we're closed. I said I'm here to pick up my truck. She told me that they weren't able to get to it and thought I wasn't coming back that day to pick it up. They had my phone number and didn't even try to call me to let me know! Long story short, I wasted an entire Saturday to have absolutely nothing done and now I have to store the tires in my garage until I can find time to have a reliable company install them. read more

Go to Costco instead. Went here to get a nail taken out of my tire and have the hole repaired. Left the car for 3 hours before they called and told me there was nothing they could do. Didn't even try to sell me a new tire... just told me they couldn't patch a tire from the inside, and the nail went in at an angle (it only punctures the tread). Direct quote: "You can try Discount tire". Costco fixed it in a half hour for $12 with no issue. Firestone had originally quoted me $35. They obviously just didn't want my business. read more
