The only downside was that they didn't see the oil change sticker on the front of our glove box (we had oil changed Just over a month ago at a different business). The other business also screwed up on what they did and it was found when we took car in for repairs. We didn't know that they did an oil change until we got home and were looking at the final invoice. In any event, we will go to Automotive Experts for all future lube and oil changes and other needed repairs/service.

They even went above and beyond by sending pictures of a few things that they found that needed repairs. They really built trust with me quickly. A few years ago we had to move to Washington due being relocated due to work. I've had my SUV for 22 years, it's in good condition and runs well. On this model the vacuum hose can get knocked out of place easily which can cause air to blow on my feet constantly which drives me nuts. Usually I have had to take more time off work to go in and get this fixed because they did not listen to me when I explained about the hose during the initial drop off, but THEY listened and I got it back without any problems at all. They were also able to get me in the next week to fix those other items, one of which was a big repair. I never felt overcharged either as my services ended up being a little less than the estimate. I'm really happy that I found such a great place because even though my SUV is pretty old at this point, I really love it and want to keep it running as long as possible. I'm excited about getting all the new tech perks that come with a new vehicle, but this is my first vehicle that I bought for me, and I still love it and am not ready to let go just yet, and with this place, I know we're in good hands.

They charged me a 3% credit card fee because the warranty company paid by credit card. I can believe a King's Transmission thinks your suppose to pay for another company's credit card fee. I paid with my debit card. When I got my car back it was still doing the same thing. He then claimed this Friction Modifier that he sells to car dealers swear by it. He put it in my car and told me to drive it for a while. That still didn't work. I met someone else at another garage that drove my car and put his computer on it and said I needed a Transmission. I took it back to Karl who said then I needed a Transmission. Needless to say the warranty company subtracted the amount they paid on the torque converter from the salvaged transmission because they said he misdiagnosed my car. That left me paying over $1,200. I filed a complaint with the attorney General office and his wife replys after I respond to Attorney General. After speaking with the AG I was informed that I can file complaint with NC Dept of Justice. I tried to get them to fo the right thing. They are going to wished they did because I'm going to file my complaint with NC Deot of Justice. They are crooks so stay away.

Checking under the hood, I located the source, a water leak coming from a heater hose. The next morning I went looking for a place to get it fixed. My regular auto place was booked solid with Memorial Day weekend approaching. With several business trips coming up, it was important to get this fixed right away. I went to Yelp and found a couple of places to check out. The first stop, I received a quote and said they would need the car for three days. My next stop was Dave's in Auburn. Brandon took a look and said he could get it done today. His quote was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the earlier quote I had received elsewhere. As I was trying to load Uber on my phone, he asked if I needed a loaner car. Yet another problem solved! The repair was done well within the time frame they gave me, and I had my car back that same afternoon. Charges matched the initial quote. Brandon followed up with a text three days later, asking if everything was working right. I couldn't be more satisfied. I will be back when the need arises.

After about 4 hours, I received a call with a quote of nearly $1,600 to replace all four rotors and brake pads. I later called another shop and got an estimate for the exact same work at $1,200, which confirmed that their quote was on the very high side. I declined the work and went to pick up my car. I was told they did a minor cleaning of the brakes to reduce the noise, and I was charged a little over $100. Unfortunately, the brakes squeaked exactly the same as when I brought it in. I didn't make a big deal about that since the underlying issue wasn't addressed -- but when I got home, I noticed my hubcaps hadn't even been removed. That really made me question whether any work was actually performed at all. Between the high pricing, the ineffective "fix," and the suspicion that my car may have just sat in the shop while I still paid over $100, I will not be returning here. I would recommend that others get a second opinion before agreeing to any repairs at this shop.

Disappointing Experience After Years of Loyalty…read more I am not sure if this business is under new ownership or if the level of service has simply declined, but my recent experience was deeply disappointing. I have been a loyal customer for many years, consistently impressed with their ability to accurately diagnose issues and communicate repair costs clearly. This time, I brought in my truck due to a power steering fluid leak, letting them know that the pump needs to be replaced. Rather than performing a diagnostic to confirm the actual source of the problem, the shop replaced the steering pump, only to later inform me that it wasn't the cause. They then stated that a diagnostic would be needed, at an additional cost, to identify the real issue. When I asked why the diagnostic wasn't done from the beginning, their response was simply, "You told us what to fix, so we did." After going many rounds and getting nowhere, the women I spoke to even referenced that "if you go in and order a hot dog, they are not going to ask if you if you are sure you want to order a hot dog" Honestly not sure how to even unpack that little ditty of an analogy that makes NO sense. This approach is deeply concerning. Isn't it the responsibility of a professional mechanic to verify the issue before proceeding with costly repairs? I also find it interesting that this is their reason considering how they responded to a bad review last year to which they on 09/21/2024 11:52AM: "you brought a part in wanting us to install it. We recommend that we do some test to see what is wrong with your vehicle before installing parts. You insisted that you only want the part installed based on a scan from an auto parts store. You did not want to pay us to do any testing". This goes against everything they are standing on with their statement "You told us what to fix, so we did it". After several attempts and the women helping me just going around in circles, not willing to at least try and work with me, I picked up my truck, asking for the original pump since it was not the issue, and walked out. It's disheartening to end a long-standing relationship this way, especially with a mechanic that you thought you could trust, but I will be taking my business elsewhere and will make sure that all my friends and family know this is no longer a trusted shop. Customers should exercise caution when seeking service from this shop. Specifically, make sure you request a diagnostic upfront and avoid suggesting what you believe the issue might be, as that is all they will focus on...even though they contradict themselves in a response to another unsatisfied customer (again, see above note from the shop).
