I came by to have a tire patched up. I was told they couldn't patch it or rotate my tires because they were all at 4/32. Really after 6 months. Hmm. I don't think so. Here's the kicker. I watched the guy look at the tires and use his machine on them and he didn't even do it on the tire that was IN my car that needed to be fixed. But he did go ahead and tell me a tire that has less than 500 miles on it (full size spare) is at 4/32. LIES! I chose to leave Instead of arguing. Les Schwab patched the tire and I was on my way. I was in need of air on my tire on my SUV GMC Yukon with my family in a road trip and the both women that work the front desk and run the service said wait for someone to come and put the air for you when I see the look like self service station on the back side of the garage open doors . But no one help I was waiting for a good 30 minutes patiently. Same woman came back again and said I have to inspect all tires and the year they were made . I figured she wants to sell me tires . I had one in the back new but didn't ask yet at that point . She didn't know. Then I said I waited patiently you said you will have someone put air . Then she changed her mind and said she couldn't because my tire was too low and refused to help . It was more that she wanted to sell tires new when most of my tires were new, then when I asked her ok I have a new tire on back never installed before. She said I would have to wait a long time due to process. I just realized she was not happy with her job . You can tell when someone is there to work and keep customers happy. My wife had a bad experience where she brought in a tire because it had a leak and they said they couldn't fix it by safety standards. I didn't get to see it but I do understand if it's within an area from the side they can't repair it. There are a ton of pictures and articles that explain this online they even have state requirements. We had another vehicle that had a nail and it was well within the fixable area. Not dead in the middle but a lot closer than to the edge. I made an appointment and after waiting an hour I was told that it was too far and they needed to replace the tire. I asked where it was and he said he couldn't for sure see it but he saw bubbles towards the corner when he dunked it. I think I may have found the problem. It's almost comical, if bubbles coming from the bottom move around they go up! It may look like it's on the side but it's not. Needless to say I put a patch on my own tire and it's working great. No leaks anymore. I am unsure if this is bad training, struggle to find good employees or a strategy to sell more tires. read more

Bought tires online for install on rims only. Did not want or ask them to mount on a vehicle, only wanted them to mount tire on appropriate rim. Discount tire would not mount without knowing the vehicle. I specially stated that modified vehicle and only asking them to mount on appropriate rim. They would not mount the tires I purchased, I had to provide vehicle. They refused to mount tires. No where during online purchase is it stated that vehicle is required for tire mounting on rims. If that is a company policy, it is not stated anywhere I have found. Went to local shop, found same tires for $25 less per tire and no hassle. read more

Ended up with the exact same price from giga tires, not a better one. Im now on my second week of waiting for the tires because they ordered the wrong ones even after giving them the exact tire size and model and confirming several times. As usual when purchasing new tires, they will ask you if you'd like extra protection and how they highly recommend it. Matthew decided to see what discounts he can apply since I've purchased my 2 previous tires from here and that I can purchase the certificates for all 4 cars. The place is clean and even when they're busy, you can see they try to be as efficient as they can be especially with phone calls. My husband's car got a flat on Sunday, he checked inventory online and saw that this discount tire in particular had the stock of the tires he wanted. Samuel helped him and the experience was streamlined and felt like a deal financially. We also got new windshield wipers. I he car is a 2017 and the rear one was never changed out. I'm a picky shopper and this franchise location made me very happy. I wish I remembered the tech's name. He was fantastic and most important of all, competent. Decent prices and some great employees. But some ridiculous rules. I leave there disappointed snd empty half the time. Free flat repair? They have a long list of reasons to not repair it, to make you buy a new tire. I have an old 50's beetle. I rarely drive it. The left front tire has a slow leak. I took it there to get fixed. They refuse to patch it, even though the tire looks new, because it's over 15 years old. So sell me a new tire, or two so both front match? They don't sell that size. Ok at least put air in it so I can drive it home? Because it was under 15 psi they refused to put ANY air in it. They said it could blow up and they refused for liability reasons. So they forced me to drive off with a flat tire!! If that was my daughter or mother? I'd be livid. read more

Easily one of the better shops in the area, I've always had exceptional service when needing to get my tires replaced or looked at. I had called in at 5:30pm, since the store closes at 6:00pm, to schedule an appointment for the next morning. Eric picked up the phone and informed me to bring it in even though they were closing soon to ensure that my car would be taken care of by the end of that day. Wasn't pressured to purchase to the most expensive tire, but instead was recommended some of fantastic options, as the ones I had previously were discontinued. I've always gotten the extended warranty on the tires on all my new tires purchased, and they have always honored it when a tire needed replacement. read more

Buyer Beware! They will upsell you to replace your tires even after replacing your tires less than a year ago. They offer free tire rotation but will say that they can't rotate it because you have to replace it. They said they will repair tires but when you take it to them they say they can't repair it because it needs to be replaced. They are sleepy salesmen that do very crappy work. Awful customer service by kids who absolutely do not know what their are doing except upsell you. Very unprofessional. read more

Anxiety filled experience to just purchase 2 tires. Finally I got them at a fair price after I negotiated it to that price after them trying to upsell me the tires. When I left after they were finished, I noticed on my car seat these 2 plastic clips, not knowing what they were, then I grabbed my hand brake, it completely fell apart in my hand. I turned around, went back in, they came out, took my car back in the garage and then fixed their mess with red duck tape and said I can go on line and order more clips?? How would I even know how to put the clips back on? Nothing ghetto about this at all. Confused why I would need to order the clips, my brake wasn't broken before I arrived. Amazing to get two tires and leave with a broken hand brake, I needed to fight harder on how unfair this was. And they didn't tell me they broke it, they waited for me to discover it. read more

Free air tire check sign should be removed on site for this particular location. I have gotten my tires here but the past couple times I came to get my air pressure check I'm either waiting 25+ minutes or just leaving and not getting service at all. I'm not coming at peak hours in fact seems pretty slow each time I arrive. Today I arrived and I'm sure the person in front of me was waiting for quite some time cause myself was waiting for 20 mins. They decided to leave as did I. We couldn't even get a heads up. Some communication would have been nice to let us know an estimated time or if they could not have helped at all. Might have to consider getting tires elsewhere or a different discount tire location if this is the type of service they provide. Or no service at all for that matter read more

i used to be a long time loyal customer. no more. after my last 2 visits have shown me how greedy they have become. 1. set up an appointment for a tire inspection for a slow leak and told my air pressure sensors need new batteries or i need new sensors. ha! filled my tire and the sensor light went off. $500 charge avoided! 2. on monday 7/20/2020 i was told they would not mount tires manufactured in 2009 because of dot regulations. i know he wanted to sell me a set of tires, but i did not bite. les schwab did it, no questions asked. good bye discount tire! i will not be your upsell patsy! read more

I made an appointment to have my tire rotated and balanced, I have made this appointment many times before and even bought my tires at this location 4 times. most the time I have a good experience. Today I waited in line for 20 minutes, 15 minutes after my appointment time and still had 3 people in front of me. I couldn't get checked in to get my truck in line to get service. I was not happy, I made an appointment so I didn't have to have my truck wait behind a bunch of walk in customer. read more

I used to get all of my tires through Costco, but I have discovered that the prices and selection at Discount Tires is unbeatable. They often can order a hard-to-find brand that I prefer, and their customer service is excellent. Plus, they have enough locations to give me peace of mind when on a long road trip somewhere. Location/Parking: The Auburn garage is a bit of a challenge to reach from the freeway, but there is plenty of parking there, and lots of nearby restaurants to grab a bite while waiting for service. Layout: Decent waiting room with all the usual amenities; easy to approach the service bays Value: Again - hard to beat for service, price, selection & access. Online ordering/scheduling is a huge plus. We'll definitely continue doing business here for the foreseeable future. read more

My husband did a little comparison shopping & chose Discount over the other major tire store. Even though the tires are guaranteed for 70,000 miles they had to be replaced after only 7,000 miles and we had to pay because it was an allignment issue. Unfortunately, I was told the shop at the outlet center is too small for an allignment rack. Apparently, buying new tires w/out getting them aligned does not make good sense. Buyer beware & aware. We won't be making this mistake again. The other store did an allignment along with selling me 2 new tires & said the one side of the suspension was horribly out of allignment. Once again the staff at Discount Tire can't be beat. I had wheels and tires swapped from one car to another. Shade tree mechanic that did it didn't tighten the lug nuts and 2 fell off within 50 miles. Popped in to Discount Tire to get a whole new set and also have them check the tires, since I had bought them there. From the new Covid19 check in (which I appreciate) to the guys in the bay and the shop I got nothing but friendly, fast and knowledgeable service. I've been to this location multiple times and I will always keep coming back. I recently popped a tire and it was a sign from the universe that it was time for me to get all new tires. I worked with Brad today and he was very quick, friendly, and respectful. His customer service was outstanding! Thank you for asking how much I would like to spend today. Going in thinking I would only need one tire, to coming to the realization to just replace all 4 is a mighty jump in the budget. He updated my information and squeezed me in even though I didn't have an appointment. He said my car would be ready at 10:30, and it was ready at 10. I don't think an hour even passed. Speedy service y'all, without an appointment! As a walk-in, I definitely felt welcomed. (I usually make an appointment online but none were available this day) These guys are always super fast, genuine, and helpful. They never treat me like I'm just some silly girl who knows nothing about cars. They are always accommodating. You guys have a customer for life!
