It wasn't ordered is what what the second person stated. This second person said he would order and to come in at 7 am the next day. I called at 7 :10 am, then first dude, Kirby, said "oh it must have been returned, but I can order it." What kind of shenanigans are they pulling? The Firestone Peachtree Industrial location provide great swift service! I came by to get an alignment. Malcolm was very helpful and educated me on how often to get my tires rotated. When I was about to leave he mentioned my "almost bald front tires" needed to be replaced ASAP! I felt comfortable enough to go ahead and purchase two front tires for my BMW. I am a 35+ year ASE Certified Master Technician, alignment specialist and small business owner. I meticulously replaced all the front-end parts of my 1972 Dodge Dart collector car with upgraded performance pieces. After discussing at length with Keno about the need for alignment as a result of upgraded components he assured me they could and seemed put-off that I would question their ability. I explained that several shops said they could not and I wanted to make sure they could before I drove the vehicle out of specs. Out of specs meaning it's hard to turn the wheel creating a hazardous situation; I'm risking the safety of myself, the vehicle and drivers around me during operation. After his attitude and assurance, I made the appointment at Firestone in Chamblee. I drove my car to their location... again, risking the safety of the vehicle, myself and other drivers only for the Service Writer Christopher Conway to tell me (after talking to technician Xavier) they could not because they didn't have the shims and the front end was way out of alignment. I told him my vehicle did not require shims and it would come within specs. He said, "how do you know for sure?" I said, "because I am an ASE Certified Master Tech with 35 years of experience". He said "since you're an ASE Master Tech, go get an alignment rack and do it yourself". I said "Keno continually assured me you could, why would he tell me that if you couldn't?" He said "take your problem to corporate" I turned around to leave as he followed me waving his card saying "call corporate, call corporate". Obviously corporate could care less otherwise he wouldn't have been so adamant about me calling them. Their empty parking lot and 2.5 stars speak for themselves. I ended up taking my car to Gran Turismo with a slammed parking lot full of business and 4.7-star reviews. They took the time to address all of my concerns, even asking me to assist by sitting in the car to include my weight as the driver and to turn the wheel while it was being performed. I used to work for Nissan and did the same thing from time to time when I had customers with unusual alignment situations. I will never use Firestone again or recommend it to my customers, in fact stay away from Firestone. If you are reading this, take your car to Gran Turismo East in Chamblee, they are more reasonable, employ qualified alignment technicians and will get your vehicle done quickly and accurately. Wow, what a service quality change in customer service - left me doubting 2/17/2020 Just visited the Chamblee Firestone location, which I've been going to for at least 15 years. Israel is this locations new store manager, and this is the 1st time I've walked out of this location. My interactions with Israel felt uncomfortable as we discussed my service request. Just the verbal conversation with him put doubt in the quality of mechanical services I would have received, from the confrontational discussion, to the belittling of past employees. I've only been there once, but I got great service. I'll spare y'all the details but I had an electrical problem -- on a Sunday. It took a while. The cheerful woman behind the counter was great at taking my info but not so good at giving me info about the status of the repair. It turns out there was a long wait while a part -- the clamp between the cable and the battery terminal -- was delivered from another Firestone store. (I would have gone in Uber to pick it up had I known.) In total I was at Firestone for three hours. Two hours waiting for the part and one hour while master mechanic Patrick worked his magic. Once the parts were on hand, Patrick set to work. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. A bunch of sweat, loads of ingenuity, and an hour later Patrick had completed the task. Me: "Do I need a new battery?" Patrick: "If you can start the car, you don't need a new one. That's the best battery test there is." Thank you, Patrick. He repaired my car on a hot Sunday afternoon and he resisted the temptation to up-sell me with a new battery. And the bottom line was quite reasonable. I came in here a year ago to get the new tires for my car. Alvin was the person that helped me with picking out the right tires. Alvin is so helpful and so sweet. I didn't get my tires from Hyundai because of the way all the men in the dealership spoke to me. I had a problem with them talking down to me like I don't know anything because I was a female. The way they spoke with me like I was a dummy and I wasn't going to give them a dime for my service. I drove by Firestone all the time, so I decided to come in here to buy new tires for my car. Alvin helped me go through everything. I didn't know there were so many different tires to choose from, but he explains to me and even tell me which tires will be worth it for my car. Alvin didn't speak to me like I was a dummy. He was very patient with me and even showed me all the different kind of tires they had. He also tells me some of the options I could get with my tires and what's the best package to go with and what's better for me. Most car dealerships have a driver that can take you to any location within 10 miles from the dealership; I asked Alvin if they have the service for it because I knew it would take a while for my car to switch out the new tires. Alvin said "No, but he said he could take me if I need him to take me and pick me up," which he could say 'No they don't offer this service." and walk away from that, but he didn't. I was pretty blown away at the service he gives me and how fantastic everyone is. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. We got a flat tire on our way to look at a Tesla, so we stopped by at a nearest tire store and it happened to be Firestone on Peachtree Industrial. The salesperson told us to leave the car overnight because he said they were too busy. He didn't even go look at the tire to see if he could do a plug or patch. He was so unpleasant. We drove slowly to Mall Corners Goodyear and they were very busy but the service writer went out to check the tire and plugged it for us and we ordered 2 new 2853519 continental tires for Monday installation. The Store Manager "Val" was not helpful at all at addressing my concerns and left me with no choice other than to get my tires fixed else where. I have never wanted a zero star rating more than I do right now. I seriously hope that people see this and do not go to this location any longer. I know they are open on weekends and convenient but it's so not worth it. I went in for windshield wipers and brakes a couple weeks ago. My car was there all day of course and as always we get a huge to do list of repairs along with the bill, that isn't cheap itself. It rained this week so I was almost excited to use my new wipers. Well, they weren't working. Loud screeches even worse then when I took the car in. I called the location when I got into the office. It was the same man that we spoke to when I dropped my car off. Wipers were charged and paid for but he said he had to look at them to make sure they weren't new and I'd have to come in. We set up an appointment for Saturday (today) at 10. I come in and wait a minute. It's the same man as before and on the phone. He couldn't find this customers keys. He's walking around looking and even tried to give him the wrong set of keys. As I get up to the podium I let him know I called earlier this week about my wipers and was told to come in today at 10. He looks confused "you called today" I said earlier this week. I can't breath I'm not heard he's not heard masks are restricting. He said he didn't know anything about it but he'd find out (right since he's definitely the person I spoke to earlier in the week. I know this because of his voice and the way he has spoken to me) and goes into the workshop for a minute. Comes back and is working on his computer and says "your size wipers are out of stock they are $43" and I just say okay well the guy I spoke to said he was going to look at the ones on my car he gets defensive and says that wasn't him this is the first time he's spoken to me (really!) he says this is my first time talking to you I said you were the one we saw when I dropped it off and can you just go look he tells me "first thing is you are going to stop talking to me like that. This man is looking at you and he can see I am being very helpful". If this man knew anything he'd know all this guy is doing is trying to cause a scene and be a victim. He's talking down to me and trying to make me look like an a** when really Firestone screwed up and I'm just calling him on it. We walk outside he says they are new and had I not interrupted him he said he was going to refund me and order me new ones. Had he started with telling me he'd refund me I would have accepted and moved on. I don't need new ones though if Firestone's new wipers sound worse than old ones. I'm never going back here. You pay for what you get. Being talked down to by someone I am paying is not something I will continue doing. I don't know if they put on the wrong size or what but my wipers are not working. I did get the refund which seemed like it took forever and a day. I swear they are just so lazy there now. Service use to be so good but has become progressively worse over the years. This place is a clown show. Disorganized and unprofessional. I dropped my car off to have the oil changed, tires rotated, the check engine light and the steering investigated as the light was on and the steering had been giving me trouble. I was called saying the car was ready for pickup. When I arrived, the steering had not been addressed, only the oil change and tire rotation. So, upon investigation they determined I needed a new power steering pump - which I asked them to replace then. I left the car. The next day I was called to come pickup my vehicle that was "ready". When I arrived and paid I got in the car to see the check engine light was still On. I alerted the manager to this and that it had not been done like I asked on my initial visit (with the oil change, tire rotation, and steering). He had them scan the vehicle and it indicated that I need to replace the catalytic converter and something else that has to be done at the dealership (he didn't know the code). I explained to Israel (manager) that the reason it was so important to address the check engine light is that if the car needed multiple repairs that were going to be costly I was going to get rid of the car and get a new one (bc it's a 2010 Honda Accord). Now I'm $500 in on a car that needs who knows how much more work all because they were too focused on the oil and tires and forgot about the check engine light. This is a rather more-than-competent Firestone and the closest to my home. The people who man this store are super nice - I hit the store frequently for alignments and have always been in-and-out without any issues. Make sure you make an appointment if your time is precious (sounds pretentious but really, who has time to wait for hours for service?). They can align trucks with larger alloy wheels which is a boon (many of the local shops can't). I like bringing a book and avoiding the smut-talk on the TV (usually a reality show or talk show) - the lobby is comfortable. I wish they hadn't gotten rid of the cool neon sign (they still have the original bowtie-on-a-pole but the building sign has been replaced) - loved the bright color and it really made the business stand out. I have been a very satisfied customer of several Firestone locations, but the guys at this one totally messed me around on my first visit. After calling to confirm they could work me in, I brought in my car with squeaky brakes in the early afternoon. 30 minutes before closing time, I received a call with an estimated bill of over $1,500 for new brakes (as expected), as well as rotors, tire rods, and three new tires. No work had actually been done on my car and there was no time left in the day to complete it. The next morning, I got a second opinion at the car dealership that assured me it was in fact ONLY the brakes & fluid that needed replacing. Very unhappy that my time was wasted and that this location recommended almost $1,000 worth of unnecessary work. read more

I would give Negative stars if it allowed me. I had an appointment for Wheel alignment at 8AM in the morning of 09/17/2022. I pulled up into the parking lot and the parking was full only available lot was handicapped and a few vacant in the back. I pulled in right on time for my appointment, so I thought I would park in the front of the store and a technician would anyway pick the car to the bay as my appointment was in next 2 min (Note that this is no way obstructing the door and my intention was never to demand a technician/service advisor to move my car). As soon as I entered inside, Guy behind the counter whose name is Keno Nickerson rudely said "Next time do a good job of parking" These are my exact words in reply "My appointment is at 8AM which is only 2 min from now. Anyways, a technician will move my car into the bay right?" He was like "no you move the car there are vacant parking lots in the back" I told him that I am not denying to park the car in parking lot, but what's the point to park in the back if my appointment is in two min He was very adamant and aggressive and was repeatedly asking me to get out and that he wouldn't talk to me until I move the car. I asked him if there is anyone else in the store that could assist me for which he said No. I went back to my car parked it in the very end of the store and walked back into the store to tell him that I would not be dropping off my car with such an aggressive and angry person and will never be coming back into this store. Key points to note: His name is Keno Nickerson and he is the Store Manager. He was yelling at me and walking up to me at which point I feared for my safety. He was not ready to listen to what I am trying to explain. Maybe he didn't understand my intentions behind leaving the car in the front but he should at least listen and give a chance for me to talk and explain he instead chose to yell at me. If a store manager behaves like this, what example will he set to the employees that repot to him. Firestone, If you are seeing this review, Keno Nickerson is bad for your business. We are paying for the services. You are not doing services for free. Even when a customer is wrong, an employee should always try and figure out a way to provide a solution and not jump on customers yelling at them, making them feel unsafe. If I could give a negative star rating I would for the location on Ptree Ind Doraville. The worst customer service ever!. I got tires at this location back in April and service was horrible then so on 6/30/21 i got a confirmation just how bad they really are. Back when i got tires they put the wheel lugs on sooo tight the location on Buford Hwy wasn't able to get one of them off so I went back to the Ptree Ind. Whoever the service guy was wanted to argue with me about them being torqued. Besides the point he wanted me to wait 3 hrs to get that one wheel lug off. Isn't that crazy! I came to get a new tire for my suv. I was told they were too busy so I made an appointment for the next morning right when they opened. I was there promptly at 7a. Unfortunately there were no techs there and I was informed they likely wouldn't be there until 7:30. The new manager, Malcolm was able to assist me and got me in and out quickly! I pulled in for a $19.99 oil change on my way home from work and asked them to please not bring in my air filter and shove it in my face for an upsale because I hate that shit. While I was standing around, an employee brought me an office chair (and I didn't even have to ask!) because their super-swank armchairs-with-swiveling-tables-and-cuprests were all in use. And no wonder, too. I wish my car was as comfortable as their furniture. I wandered up the hill to Walgreens, and when I came back my car was ready. Before this location came under some new management I loved it. Now I can't take my car in without getting it back to find SOMEONE has rummaged through my glove box and/or center console. When I take my car in for a oil change and say, "JUST an oil change please" and I get it back to see my car has been rummaged through that is not ok. I've told them numerous times NOT to go through my car, that if they're looking for something (like a tire key) to either call me or look in the trunk. Once a rep told me the mechanic may have been looking for my owners manual...It's clear and front center, NO NEED TO RUMMAGE! This last time was the final straw they have lost me as a customer for good. Just in time for me to get my valued customer credit card in the mail. New management has completely dropped the ball on what was a reliable well-managed and affordable car service shop. Went in for a transmission and coolant flush with an appointment one Saturday morning. Was supposed to take 90-minutes but it was closer to 3 hours because they didn't have the right transmission fluid for my car. See that's what appointments are for...they tell you what car is coming and then YOU shop management make sure you have the right fluid BEFORE the customer arrives or shortly thereafter. That's on top of the scam they tried to pull in trying to jack up the price on their OWN previous estimate of the work when I presented a coupon. How much of a price hike, about the same as the value of the coupon. Coincidence? I think not. Had to haggle to get it back down to the original amount. They also didn't give me a hard time about not doing all the work they recommended, which was appreciated. Donna went out to my car and told me that the tires I had were fine and did not need to be replaced. She looked up my account and said that two of my tires were recalled and she would replace those for free because it's unsafe to drive on them. I said ok can you reschedule me for Thursday, they said yes. They promised to get me in. So Thursday i came back. Dropped car off and went to work out. When i came back my car was not finished. All i needed was a rotation. The clerk said there were 4 cars I front of me. I asked if they had appointments he said no but they were first and they couldn't pull them out. I said why not? What was the point of having an appointment and you put non appointment cars in front of it. I told them to give me my keys back. This is poor management. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE I made an appointment at this Firestone for 7:30 am. When I spoke to someone about putting new tires on my car, she assured me it would take no more than an hour and a half... It took OVER 3 HOURS to put tires on. When I arrived at 7:30 am as scheduled, there was one car being serviced. I checked in and also agreed to an alignment. Somehow, several cars took priority over mine even though I was waiting at the store. After 2 hours, I checked in and was told 15-20 more minutes. Another hour goes by, and it's now 10:30 and the alignment hasn't even been finished. I will never have another service done to my car at this location. Don't waste your time. read more

Went there on a Sunday for a simple oil change with a scheduled appointment. I told them I was going to wait there for my car to be ready. One hour later the front desk clerk tells me they don't have the oil filter for my car and they have to order it from another shop. 2 hours later, still no oil filter. I am very unhappy with this very unprofessional behavior. The least they had to do was inform me at the very beginning that the waiting time was going to be longer than normal. The front desk person was not friendly at all. I wasn't even offered a discount for the enormous waiting time and had to ask for it. In the end, they got me 20$ off the bill. This is one of the worst managed businesses I have ever witnessed. I purchased some tires here and when they shook at 60 mph I came back for a rebalancing. 1 1/2 hours later they said that they were perfect. They took it for a test drive and acknowledged a shaking. Charged me $10 to check the drive components and told me they were fine, indicating that I should just accept the shaking and go on my way. Unbelievable that i would want to put 60k miles on what i can only conclude to be a defective product. Finally they agreed to swap the tires. Another 3 hrs of fumbling around, without even a mention of my inconvince, I'm out the door. Pitiful. read more

PLEASE don't ever use this location for tires. Stay away from Val the manager. Thought I had found a great deal on the Internet for 4 new tires-called and confirmed the price over the phone. Had my car towed there, passing 4 other (better) tire dealers on my way to get such a good deal. Once there they immediately started up-selling me, which I always expect. While "good cop" inside was upselling me, "bad cop" Val was outside walking around my car--Val comes inside and tells me the tires they quoted won't fit my car (even though they knew the exact make/model/year of my car prior to me arriving) and the only ones available that will fit are DOUBLE the originally quoted price--YES DOUBLE! I left without my car and told them not to do the work--that I would have my car towed to another place. Within 30 minutes of me leaving, Val calls and miraculously found 4 tires that were "close" to the original price--only $70 more...what a hero!! I was completely baited and switched from the minute I walked in the door. They thought they had me since I couldn't drive my car. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH FIRESTONE AGAIN--this location or any other. They are scam artists and shysters--STAY AWAY! read more

NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE! I went in for a simple oil change and coolant exchange. It took 4 hours to get my car back and as I was driving away, my brakes let out a HORRIBLY airy noise when I came to a stop. They did not bleed my breaks correctly (or at all for that matter). I was FURIOUS! I felt unsafe and quickly turned around to go back to the shop. While on my way, I called my boyfriend's favorite mechanic place, Carma MotorSports on Chamblee Dunwoody, and they were nice enough to allow me to drive it directly there so they could see if there were any problems with it. I HIGHLY recommend Carma MotorSports if you ever need maintenance done on your car. They specialize in Mercedes and BMWs so if you drive one and need a good mechanic shop, look no further! They are awesome! I drive a Mazda 3 and they were kind enough to fix Firestone's mistake free of charge for me. Knowing the professionals at Carma looked at my car put me at ease and I was able to drive home without having to hear that horrible noise each time I hit the breaks. I will NEVER go back to Firestone and I strongly advise everyone else to not waste their time going there. It was so bad that the Firestone employee waived the charge of the oil change and gave me her manager's card so I could contact her. I never did because I am 100% confident that it would be a waste of time. Maybe she will see this post and take a hint..... provide better service for your paying customers!
