My husband needed 2 new front tires for his car. We were so excited to see that Firestone was open on a Sunday! He called ahead on of time on 6/9/19 to make sure they were in stock. Israel told him that the tires were in stock so my husband drove over and they said it would take an hour to complete, so he decided to wait there since it was a quick job. My husband walked over periodically to check to see where his car was in the process, and then after about an hour and a half, he went over to check and Israel stated that he was just about to call him because the tires actually aren't in stock. This is absolutely unacceptable to make someone wait over an hour and not let them know the tires weren't in stock, especially after he called ahead and it was confirmed they were in stock. He was quoted and hour and then to be the one that had to go check to see where his car was in the process and be told they weren't even in stock was so upsetting. He spent his morning into the afternoon waiting and nothing was even done to the car. The quote on the bottom says they want to ensure that each customer receives great customer experience and this was the complete opposite of that. What a disappoint and waste of time! read more

I have been coming here for oil changes for quite some time now. They have convenient hours, open till 7pm on Saturday and even open on Sundays. Great for busy people like me. Fareed is the general manager, he is a nice man. There were two customers ahead of me at 7:30 am. He greeted me and said he would be with me in a moment. I checked in my car for an oil change. He said It would be about an hour. It was complete in 45 minutes. I sat and watched the news in the waiting area while they worked on my car. Fareed honored a recently expired coupon for $10 off an oil change. That was nice! I will be back again for my next oil change. I have also bought a battery here, tires and had my brakes done here. They price match on tires and give you the best deal. Store is always clean and neat and there is a bathroom in the waiting area. read more

Second time at this location. First time I had a new battery installed. Service advisor Gabriel was knowledgeable and the reason I decided to return. On my second visit I requested an oil change and alignment. Dakota was friendly but lacked a general understanding of vehicle maintenance. No follow up call following the inspection of my vehicle. No oil change reminder or reset. Price was outstanding but you get what you pay for.... Will definitely stick with Oilstop for future oil changes. read more

I bought the lifetime alignment warranty at another location. My car is due for an alignment so I took it in to the Arneill location in Camarillo. They would not honor the lifetime alignment contract because the car has a camber kit. The whole point for a camber kit is to allow the technicians to align the car. Mind you, other locations have aligned it in the past. Needless to say, I am disappointed in the service received. read more

Went in for an alignment, tire rotation, and balance. Was told by the store manager, Paul Goldberg, that no mechanic was available, only a technician, who only does oil changes, tire rotations and balances, but had someone for alignments. When I came back, he had a laundry list of needed repairs, which included 4 new tires and a complete overhaul of the suspension, totaling $3500. How can a technician diagnose this? Went to a real mechanic and was told only thing needed was the rack and pinion, which was a LOT less. Tires had a lot of tread on them, and can last at least 10,000 more miles. Can you spell DISHONESTY and RIP-OFF? Don't go there! read more

They did get the tire pressure sensors changed in one day and the car out, but they marked up the parts about 200% and charged over $100 each for the pressure sensors and then argued with me about what they charged. read more

President's Day Weekend on a Sunday and my tire alarm goes off. Arrgghh! I know everything is closed. I pull off the 101 in Thousand Oaks and quickly check Yelp finding a Discount Tire which is OPEN. I go there and they tell me "it's a 2 hour wait". I'm hungry and agitated and so I decide to chance it and continue driving to Camarillo where I know there's good pizza. Again, the quick Yelp search yields a Firestone store, near the pizza restaurant! WooHoo! The Firestone place is also busy and the promises 1.5 hour turn-around on my rear left tire which has a nice silver screw in it. Fine, now I know I can walk 2 blocks and eat in which case I'll feel better about this disruption to a nice weekend. The Firestone manager says the cost is $29.90 and their service is warrantied for 30 days. They exceed expectations in terms of turn-around and are really a "clean" operation, covering the seat as they drove the SUV on and off the rack. Great job! and Thank you Firestone peeps! read more

I got 4 new Firestone tires in December 2019 they screwed up driver side tire bolts and lost 2 of them on the same tire they use the power screws to unscrew them so was there a long time and they ruin the threaten of the bolts. I came today 05-04-2020 I had a appointment at 8:00am to get a oil change. This time the manager help me. A half an hour later she told me I need a new oil cap because it was the threatening of the oil cap was worn out. The mechanic came out his name was Junior he said I needed the oil pan also because the threats weren't getting the cap to seal my oil manager was going to charge me 15 95 for the cap the mechanic told her I needed the oil pan you're looking at 795. When I took my vehicle to Firestone I never had a oil leak problem. I had to take my vehicle to my own mechanic and he only charged me $300. But what I am saying all the time I would go to this Firestone there's always something wrong with the mechanic workers, they tighten too much using the power tools and it screws up their customers vehicles. I am very disappointed with the service quality and customer service asset of helping you they screw up your vehicle . This is the store in Camarillo in California I would never do business again with Firestone I rather go to someone else that knows how to do their job firestone's blames their customers and then they don't want to solve the problem they want it overcharged you for their mistakes. I showed up to this Firestone Location here in Camarillo last minute around 5:20pm and they were all booked, busy, and had appointments left to right. I needed my flat tire changed right away for a trip I have to take for early morning the next day. Gabriel, at first told me the truth about probably not getting to change it on time due to the needs of customer appointments. He then had a second thought and squeezed me in to get it changed. It took only 15 mins and not only that, but he said it was on him. So, I got my tire changed for free!! Thank you Gabriel!! That's GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and what every business should have! Brian was the person now at the front not the girl I talked to so I asked if he could do it he said he was down a person so prob have to do it tomorrow!! I will never take my truck to this place I made an appointment to get wheels balance and alignment and had to leave it there for 3 hours Get my truck back and park it across street at a friend place over night. I got up in the morning at 4:30 am to go to work as I'm on the fwy truck is not balance at all. I Called made appointment again and sat in there waiting room and the gentleman told me that balance was off a lot. So I spend the nite at my friend place. I got up and got on the fwy my truck was a little better but not right still Steering wheel has a shaked in my hand and pulls to the left a little now. Took my 2007 car in for an oil change. Nice people, all smiles and friendliness. I took a walk and returned to have the guy try to sell me several of their services by using scare tactics. I don't fall for that and refuse to be pressured into things that I know I don't need! 1) He told me I need a new cabin filter and proceeded to tell me how dangerous it is not to have it replaced every 70k. Mine was replaced 4 months ago! 2) He told me I need the brake fluid changed. Again... this was done a few months ago when I had a tune up. 3) (And here's the kicker!) He said I need new tires!!! My front tires are 2 WEEKS OLD and the back one's are 2 months old!! I may look like a ditzy little blond, but DON'T BS ME!! The nice guy who works inside has a job to do.... his job is to sell their services. Apparently, he will lie and cheat people to do this. In his words "It's a real mess under your hood." My normal mechanic just got back from his vacation and begs to differ. He takes care of all my maintenance and is very good at his job. Never again Firestone! Thanks for the oil change. After reading a few of the previous reviews, it looks as though some others have had the same experience as I have. No wonder the shop was so empty when I went there!! My mother was at our house, and my husband noticed her back tire was low. He located a nail in the tire. He has worked on cars all his life, and said "you can go get that patched...but you better do it soon". We put some air in the tire, and off we went to Firestone. It was the closest place to our house. The guy took a few seconds to look at my moms tire and came back in and told us that he CAN NOT patch it, and she needs 4 new tires!!! I called my husband, who pretty much told the guy to JUST PATCH it. He wouldn't do it. He said "that tire CAN NOT be patched". My husband then said "go to Big Brand tire...they are a block away". So my mom and I hopped in the car and drove to Big Brand. Guess what? The shop was loaded with customers, but the friendly guy behind the counter took a look at the tire, and said "No, prob!". About 10 minutes later, it was patched for FREEEE!!! Stay away from Firestone. They take advantage of women. Don't give them your money. I've been here twice now and for a large chain, the service was not what I expected. I would come in guessing that X or Y was the cause of my problem. They say, well we can fix X or Y but the problem might actually be Z in which case you'll be back tomorrow with the same problem. We can do an inspection and figure out whether or not it is actually X or Y. I'm an idiot with cars, and I look like an idiot with cars so I say, yeah, do the inspection, and this is the part that surprises me. They give me the inspection and then tell me the problem with a sheet on the back that says, here's the problems, and here's how much for us to fix them. They didn't actually try to sell me on them fixing the issue, in fact I didn't know they had actually done an estimate until I asked specifically how much it would be to fix. I'm an idiot with cars and I feel like they very easily could have taken advantage of me and didn't. That makes me happy. read more

I've been bringing my cars here some time now and can say that these guys do a great job of taking care of their customers. I do most of my car repairs myself, but always bring it to Firestone for tires, balancing, and alignments. There are some instances in which I do not have the time to do a repair and will have Firestone take care of it. About 6 months and 6000 miles ago I had a timing belt, tensioner, and water pump job that I did not have time to do myself. I brought it to Firestone and they had it done in a day. In the last week I discovered I was losing coolant and found that my water pump was leaking/failing. Brought it back to Firestone, they honored their work, and replaced the faulty water pump. Not sure how their warranties vary depending on job type, but I was covered for the 12 months or 12000 miles and they honored it, as it should be. I have never had them try to upsell me on any services or products. As a car enthusiast and engineer, I am very well in tune with my car and its maintenance items. For the few times that the car goes into the shop, I always do my own investigation and research before bringing the car in. That being said, they have always been honest with their findings and reported problems and have never tried to convince me of nonexistent problems like some shops try to do. Kenny and Gabriel are great guys that actually care about their customers. They're friendly and knowledgeable and they do a great job of running the place. Hats off to you gentleman, as from what I've seen in some of these reviews, prior management wasn't so great. Another good reason to come here; lifetime alignments for something like $180. Worst, I had my lifetime Alignment for a very long time now. I never had issues with any of the other stores. My alignment was done here once and the next time I drop it off for an alignment they said they can't do it anymore. There was no issues the first time I dropped it off but now they said my car is too low. read more

I took my car here because I needed to have them look at a tire I bought at a another firestone location under warranty. I was told by another mechanic when I need a nail plugged that the tire is wearing in odd spots and I needed to have the stock replaced because its ruining the tire and causing my car to vibrate. When I explained this to them they told me it was just bad tire and they inspected the shock and everything was fine. Issue 1 took my car at 10am they said they it would be done by 330 and they would call me by 12 to verify they checked everything. They never called (My dad even told me they never call you and you have to call them) I showed up at 130pm and they said everything was fine I just need to approve the new tires. I said ok and they told me by 6pm my car would be ready. I get there at 550pm and they haven't even started he told me another 30 min. Being that I got dropped off I waited. but it was really 90 minutes I waited. When they finally gave me my car it didn't take until the end of parking lot I could tell the bouncing was still a problem, making me believe they didn't check anything and just want to sell me tires. Well now I need to go somewhere else to get my car fixed. Never again will I goto a firestone. read more

We have been to Firestone in Camarillo 3 times in Dec 2013. The first visit was for the 2006 Murano with 120K miles. We knew that the car needed new control arms because of a clunck and also needed struts due to the ride. We went to Firestone with the intent of only doing the struts mainly to hold to our budget. In the middle of swapping out the new struts, the guys noticed there was a warn bearing in one of the control arms. They took the time to explain the pros and cons and gave us the option, no hard sell. We already knew it was an issue but that it would also complete our suspension rebuild and make the car ride like new again. So with a little negotiation on price, we decided to move forward. Not a cheap day at Firestone, but they helped out on the price where they could and we saved an additional 10% by signing up for a Firestone account. The second visit was for rear brake pads and turning all 4 rotors. The Murano stops on a dime and even makes change. Got the car back and it rides beautifully once again. Happy Wife, Happy Life! Our third visit was for the F250 work truck. A little shimmy on the left hand front wheel between 50-55 mph. They sorted that out with a lifetime wheel balance, change the oil and filter, replaced a slow spinning starter. I asked them about an alignment, but they talked me out of it. As a local business owner, I think Fareed, Gabriel and the guys do an honest job compared to others in the automotive service industry. read more

Excellent customer service paired with quality work. Highly recommend this shop! Stopped in this afternoon due to my tire light randomly coming on. We we're greeted by Israel Garcia. He was polite, friendly and very personable. He explained the process, prices and answered my questions. Turns out, my tires are fine, the sensor just wanted attention. (Drove in from the West side; 100 miles of the 405 potholes. If you're from SoCal, that'll make sense and you'll know why it was off balance). Instead of an annoying up-sale and high pressure tactics, Israel offered quality advice on maintenance, repair and then, (this is my favorite part) he showed me better tires and went over the warranty details. I'm excited to come back to this shop the second I need new tires. (Mine are currently brand new; as-in, a month old). I've always liked Firestone for their brands, but I come back for the A+ service! Israel was/is awesome! Firestone is lucky to have such an exemplary and knowledgeable employee. Other noteworthy things: Easy access location, right off the freeway. Clean/tidy waiting room. Wait time is minimal. Coffee/water/TV/and magazines. Nice surrounding area if you wanted to eat or shop. Low pressure sales! Meaning: you get what need with no extra add-ons like headlight fluid. Highly recommend for women who are tired of the hassel (ladies, you know what I mean). If I make appointment online through website, I'm expecting you to approve it or give me a call back if you can't make it, or at least ignore just ( even that would be better). But you approve it on a different date. Example: I requested appointment for Monday and you approved it for Thursday. My 91 year old mother took her 1999 Honda Accord here for a light bulb replacement. They did that successfully. and ran a "courtesy check". They then tried to sell her a brake fluid flush for $80 after explaining how she also needed several other services which would have run her bill up into the hundreds of dollars if not more. Fortunately, she passed on all that. . However, when she got home, she found dark greasy handprints on the beige upholstered (driver's) door and on the hood. And, the next time she started and drove her car, there was a loud noise that sounded like someone racing the engine repeatedly. The noise went away while driving so she didn't worry about it. I just arrived to visit. The handprint is definitely bad and some of the same black grease is on the back of the driver's seat. When I started the car, the pulsating engine noise was immediate and alarming enough that i told her she shouldn't be driving the car. I had encouraged my Mom to think she could handle the light repair because it was just a bulb. If I hadn't been 400 miles away, I would have done it myself. I forgot about predatory repair shops who won't stop at "just a bulb" ... they want whatever MORE they can get; in this case, by creating more problems than she came in with. And yes, I know for sure these NEW problems did not exist before she trusted her car to your staff. LESSON LEARNED: If you need a simple repair, REFUSE any other FREE inspections the garage may offer (unless you know for sure the shop is trustworthy). And skip Firestone, there are too many other good and honest car repair folks out there. read more

I am highly dissatisfied with the service they gave me because not only they put on my break pads correctly by placing them backwards which caused me to go to a different repair shop to get that fixed, but also did not tighten my oil screw correcty causing me to be stranded 51 miles away from home just because of not tightening that screw. Because of this, it caused all the oil to leak out from the bottom of the car. If we kept on going, we could have been in the middle of the freeway and stranded. read more
