What a bunch of crooks. My AC was out and they didn't catch the huge hole in the condenser (see photo). Instead, they lied about the hole and just filled up the freon and charged me $123.99 without diagnosing what the actual problem was. The AC didn't last more than an hour. Never come here for any work - they are incredibly dishonest. I went to another mechanic and they showed me the bent condenser and the obvious hole that they should have caught but instead chose to take the easy money and told me to come back if it doesn't work. This place is great. I took my car in because the radiator was leaking. I was assisted by John and he provided excellent service. He clearly explained everything that potentially could be the issue and what was it going to take to repair it. John and Joseph took their time and patience to explain everything and I really felt like I was in good hands. I never felt rushed throughout the whole process. All my issues were resolved and everything was handled well. Customer service is excellent and you can tell they take pride in what they do and it is clearly shown by their honesty. My wife brought our car here to get a second opinion on repairs the dealership said were needed. They offered a much lower price so we had some of the high priority items done. All went as expected. The problem arose during the second set of repairs. My wife brought the vehicle back in to get a handful of other items repaired based on their recommendation. My wife was surprised to learn upon picking up the vehicle that they took the liberty to fix other problems they found, without checking with us first. Though they said some were done complimentary, there was an increase to the estimate they had provided. It would have been nice to know about the additional charges ahead of time. read more

This place is a JOKE. They tried to charge me $85 just to run a diagnostic. AKA- plugging in a little remote and seething what code pops up. I laughed all the way to Adolfo Auto where they did the diagnostic for FREE like decent people. Don't waste your time here, go somewhere else. read more

Update: I had a feeling that they put used engine oil in my tranny. Well, I just changed my tranny fluid and the place I went said they have never seen that color black before so that just validates my feeling: This place was recommended and I seriously don't know why. Took my car in for a tune up. It drove ok prior to taking the car in and after I picked it up the car runs like shit. I will NEVER go back and if you are reading this avoid going. This place always seems very busy but efficiently run. I have used them twice in the last two years. Yesterday, I called them in the morning, brought the car in in the afternoon, and it was ready by evening. I also believe them to be honest. Both repairs they did for me were based on diagnostic codes read from the car's computer. Both repairs I believe should have been relatively quick and straightforward. Indeed in both cases their diagnostic/minimum labor charge of $85 was all I paid for labor. This week, they replaced the air fuel mixture sensor. They charged $210 for the part. I have reason to believe they might have found the part cheaper (OEM part was $130 on Amazon) but I am no auto mechanic and I could be mistaken so I will not pick nits; especially since they got it done so fast for me. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! I brought my car in because the a/c wasn't getting a good flow out of the center vents and it was making a knocking sound. I told the owner that I was informed it may be the compressor but I'm not sure. He told me to drop it off and he would take a look. I was quoted $525 for a new compressor, labor included. I dropped the car off for repairs and was told the next day that now the was an actuator that needed to be fixed but it wasn't a necessity. I asked him just to fix the compressor since I figured that was the main issue, after all, I'm not an expert. The next day I pick up my car and nothing was resolved! The air flow is no better and the knocking noise still occurs. Apparently all that needed to be fixed was the actuator and not the conpressor. The next morning I returned pick up my old compressor and talk to the owner. He was not in but his nephew who works there was. His nephew told me the compressor was fine and he wasn't sure what I discussed with his uncle. He also told me he would help me resolve the issue and even refund me. Well, the owner called me back to tell me that the compressor has an issue (which was never disclosed) and that he wouldn't refund me. Shame on me for listening to the recommendation to come here. read more

If this is the same shop (owner or monkey mechanics) formally located at 337 N Dawson Dr. Camarillo, than this review is for you. Otherwise disregard. I picked up the phone and gave this shop a jingle after being recommended by a buddy. I was in need of an aftermarket torque converter to be installed, along with a shift kit for my transmission. I had the parts, just needed the labor to be done. (I found out the hard way I was able to "re-do" the work myself for less time and money than it took these idiots). I'm gonna skip on a story and get down to what was wrong from the moment I left this place. 1) They never tested anything after doing the work. My truck would shift into 3rd WAY too soon (25mph), than shift into overdrive immediately after. 2) The truck wouldn't shift into 3rd at WOT, it would hang in 2nd. 3) The adjustment (TV cable) was put back in loose causing the above issues. 4) I could no longer start my vehicle in park, had to wiggle the hell out of the shifter to get it to function. 5) Strange noise when I put it into reverse. 6) My trans inspection shield was hacked, bent, and missing a bolt causing it to vibrate and "buzz" when reaching 25+ mph. 7) my steering column boot was torn. 8) my oil filter was taken off with some pliers and bent and twisted like a crushed coke can, than RE-INSTALLED!! 9) My freshly powder coated valve covers were scratched to hell from some idiot whom doesn't know how to use a wrench. 10) And finally, the owner didn't want to take care of any of my problems after I had spoken with him. Took my money and ran. So if your looking for more than an oil change, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Called in ahead for an oil change and was quoted $50-55. But after the oil change, I was charged $58 (not that big of a difference, but still). And not very professional because the steering wheel was covered with grease. They could've at least wiped it off. Won't be going here again. read more
