I looked online in my neighborhood and found Auto Tech Smog Station. I was able to make a reservation which was great so I did. My appointment was for 1:15 but I got there early and was taken right away. The manager Issac greeted me and did the test . The website states smog tests could take up to an hour so I took a seat and within maybe 30 minutes I was all done. Issac told me my car passed and the certificate was sent over electronically to the DMV. I had a coupon for $10.00 off I found on their website and it was honored. Issac was great and has the smog business for all my cars from now on. Well done everyone!

Juan taped the AutoZone receipt to the battery so I could use the warranty. 18 months later the battery dies so I call to use the warranty and the lady who answers the phone screams at me that they won't authorize and hung up on me 5 times. They told me to bring the car in. I said I live 300 miles away. They mockingly said I should buy a new battery, drive my car 300 miles, and they will give me the replacement. NEWS FLASH IDIOTS: that's breach of contract and saying that gave me standing the sue the **** out of you. Yes the staff there are actually this f***ing dumb and they think they're smart LOLLLLLLLLLL. So I sent a demand letter telling them I'm about to sue the **** out of them. Juan calls me 3 days later and apologizes, says she doesn't know how to run an office, and authorizes the battery replacement. Everything was fine, but 3 and a half weeks later this dumb lady answers the demand letter with "Good luck with that". Just look at the screenshot. She didn't even know the issue was settled and she has zero emotional regulation or thinking ability. So in conclusion Juan is a real man, but if the lady picks up the phone just tell them you're gonna sue the **** out of them.

Called them about a misfire on my truck. Told them all of the things I replaced and tested myself…read moreincluding spark plugs, spark plug wires, coil pack, vacuum leak check, and a full ecu reset. I am going camping in a week and needed my truck and figured since I couldn't solve this easily on my own I would take it to a professional. They quoted me $411 for two hours of diagnostic labor. They called me back and told me that they found one of my O2 sensors wasn't giving any readings. This wasn't true because I did a live scan before and after taking it to their shop and was getting o2 readings on all 3 of my sensors. So they essentially lied. They told me that they wanted to charge me another 3 hours ($600) to "keep troubleshooting". I suggested that they replace the O2 wiring and see if that resolves the issue and I would pay the labor hours for that but I was told that was not the "cause" of the misfire. After a roundabout explanation of essentially nothing new or relevant to the misfire they told me "it would be best if I just picked up the truck". They could not give me a straight answer and I was never given the opportunity to speak directly to the tech working on it or the owner. I attached a photo of the bill. The first paragraph is what I told them over the phone. The second paragraph is what they charged me $411 for. They swapped two connectors for the oxygen sensors for $400. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Keep my money, but leave this post up so people know what they're getting themselves into.

Kevin and Floyd are always up front, honest, and set realistic expectations in terms of time and cost. They have proven time and time again that they are a trustworthy shop that does the job right. I love that KG Performance is up-to-date with their technology. When you bring your car in, they will enter it into their system and send you an email with the results of the initial inspection. They will then send you another email with their recommendations, including a list of GOOD, BETTER, and BEST (OEM) replacements to help you budget. You can approve and pay for the maintenance right from the email, and you can even chat with the service manager if you have any questions. When the job is complete, you will receive an email notification that your car is ready for pickup. I love KG Performance and trust them with my Dodge 2500 diesel workhorse and my wife's Durango SRT8. I would even take my SRT to KG instead of the dealer. P.S. KG Performance also sells some really cool pens that have a screwdriver fitting on one end. They have a phillips head on one side and a flathead on the other, and they also have a ruler and a level. I highly recommend getting one before they run out!
