Took my truck here a couple times, always a great experience. These guys are honest as can be and do quality work. Had my radiator crack on my 6.7, they had a lot of trucks there and it took a couple days but they also found a issue with another one of the lines and got both items fixed before returning the truck to me. Had my high pressure fuel pump go out, took the truck to them and they had It diagnosed quickly and about a week later I had my truck back running great again with no issues. The estimate I got originally for repairs matched at the end of the day and when I picked it up I was not shocked with any new charges. Have you ever heard of a bait and switch? Well that's what I feel like when I go to 805 diesel. $288 for two quarts of gear oil and 300 plus dollars to put it in. Today I was told it would take an hour and a half to do a differential service. Which is opening the drain plug emptying out the fluid see if there's a problem put the plug back in refill and repeat with the other differential. They said the extra work was because they opened the plate on my front differential and added hose lines for the seepage valve and zip tied it higher up on my frame. Because of that it went to 7 hours. When I researched other businesses they said it's a 10-minute job on each differential. I don't understand why it went from an hour and a half to seven hours for opening the cover plate zip tine a hose up into my frame read more

if you have any expectation of getting your vehicle back on time try somewhere else. if you send your stuff back to them for warranty work, expect to spend more, a lot more. last year I had DEF problems. they couldn't figure it out, but got the system removed and got it to pass smog test. I had them do a performance upgrade, I bought the parts and dropped it off to them last year. 13000$ later the truck still didn't run right. now back for warranty on their work from last year......12000$ into parts, been without the truck for almos 4 months. read more

My 2017 L5P failed me on my road trip in Yosemite. These guys were the only ones that would tell me my options which ended up with a tow. They weee able to diagnose over the phone and were dead on. They turned it around in a day and while it was there I had my transmission serviced. If you have a diesel skip the dealer and go to the guys that know what they are doing. Took my 2005 dodge to figure out electrical issue. did not go well. upon telling them the parts I replaced and what I wanted done. They agreed to look at it After a couple of weeks they told me it was the computer for certain they tried another computer and now the truck started to throw codes so they put the old computer with I told them it had been rebuilt and was working fine I had them change the related parts for the electrical fuel system and still they could not find what was wrong. I insisted that it is wiring due to the fact that all the the major components where changed even the TIPM. mean while they took the fuel tank off to check the lift pump to see if it ran. By the way I changed the lift pump with a factory one and told them so. By the way you do not need to take the tank off to see if the pump works or to verify fuel out put. a lot of work for nothing. by this time almost five months later, good thing this is my extra truck. Wen I went to pick up truck that I had to tow out because they could not find out what was wrong with it. I get a bill for work I did not approve and two batteries they just decided to change even though I had two red optima batteries that where just fine. Wait it gets better. When I get in the truck to attempt to start the batteries are dead. I got charged over four hundred dollars. when I complained they changed them out. also had to ask them to find the parts for holding down the BATTERIES. They were taken out and never installed back at time of new batteries installation. It gets better I had to ask for paper schematics that I had given to them for electrical work. I was told it was told it was thrown out. I explained that those where documents that I had paid for. Later they where found. Yea all while them charging 195 an hour. No wonder they could not find the problem. had to tow my truck out of that place. never to look back after over a thousand dollars for nothing. if there was a way of negative stars could be given it would be negative 5. This is what you get when you go to 805 Diesel. On my way to Sacramento felt a rough idle in my truck at stop lights. Knowing it was probably a bad injector I showed up at the shop with my suspicion. Within 5 minutes I had a computer hooked up to the truck and was diagnosed with a #3 injector misfire. Manny seen in the picture decided to stay behind on his lunch break to change the injector not to mention it being completely hot from the drive over. So wrench in one hand and burning oil covering the other the injector was replaced and I was back on the road in 47 minutes. Who drops everything to do something so fast? These guys do. I am certain that these guys are some of the most knowledgeable and accomplished diesel mechanics in the Ventura area. However, it is my opinion (emphasis on opinion), they do not listen very well to the customer. Office staff shared false information about a product suggesting it did not exist when I confronted them about previous discussions about the capabilities of the product. Nothing worse than a company that will not address its mistakes. Despite this, the work that was done appears to be of high quality. Unfortunately, I cannot feel comfortable after proven to be deceptive and failing to acknowledge and then telling me the item I came in for did not exist. I took my welding truck to 805 diesel for repairs and it got stolen along with another Chevy 2500. The owner at first said they would take care of everything and replace all stolen items. A coupe days went by and then later said that they're not responsible for anything and went back on his word . So I lost my truck and all my welding tools and machine . Also very overpriced! And most of the people I know that have gotten mods have to sell they're trucks because they're never the same and don't run well. read more

I have a 2005 Excursion 6.0, so we know the issues and these guys are the ones to bring your diesels to! They are amazing! True detail oriented professionals. They went above and beyond on the engine work and the price was very good. I also had them do some minor upgrades to the truck, new headlights, side mirrors, etc and this was handled very well too. The only issue was when I drove off the lot I noticed the speedometer wasn't working. I bring this up because they again went above and beyond to fix the issue. It was very close to closing time and they stayed late and put every guy they could spare at the issue. They could have told me to come back the next day but they made it right then and there. These guys are amazing!!!! Had my truck blow a intercooler hose at 11pm at night. I reached out to Brandon and he got back to me at 7am that next day said bring it by. I brought it by later (today) and he had it fixed in under hour and half. The Dealer did some warranty work on my truck a week ago which my hose was removed to fix it and it took them a few days was not like the service I received from 805. I could have took it back to the dealer and waited a few more days and it would have been free under warranty but to tell you the truth I upgraded to an H&S which is only 100 dollars more than the factory oem part but it gives me piece of mind in my truck to tow and not to worry about breaking down out of state or around the town. First I would like to say thank you to Brandon and all the guys at 805 diesel. Not only do they set the par so high no other shop on the west coast can even come close. They are good people honest and very dependable. There is NO ONE else that will even touch my truck. If you own a 6.0 you need to have them do there magic. From maintenance to major repairs they got you covered and you can trust it was done right the first time and they will be honest. One time I was on the road towing 20k up a huge hill and my turbo went out I called him and he had me run the codes and walked me through it to fix the issue didn't even have to get out of the truck. Amazing they are! Another time I was on my way to glamis at 5am and I had a engine light go on and he had me run the codes so I know if it was ok to continue or if I needed to pull over. Who the hell does that these days.
