I have to leave a bad review for the simple face that my car was worked on back in Feb, the 26th to be exact where the technicians left scratches on my front fender. My car literally had a new paint job not even two years ago. After reporting it to the manager, Tracey. She did file a claim. The claim person that gave me a call and sent me an email has ghosted me. We did several back and forth emails, where I answered the same questions more than once. Unbelievably disorganized. Needless to say, there are still scratches on my fender four months later. Obviously they don't care about damages to customer vehicles. Bad business! Never recommending this place. read more

I tried to take advantage of this offer but my car is apparently rare so I couldn't. I did however get 4 tires for just $400 not too bad. I also ended up having Gabriel and Yadir (sp?) Check out my front brakes and my power steering. I picked up my car from the Camarillo location on Sunday only to find that my brakes were acting up still. So I called Gabriel and he had me bring the car back. After they flushed the brakes they called me to pick up my car again. After driving it to work and back (50 miles each way) my brakes were so bad I was scared to drive it. So I called Yadir and he said bring it in and ill check it myself. So I did. I am happy to say that the brakes are now fixed just fine. the problem had to do with the back brakes which they did not work on prior to this. He fixed the back brakes no charge. All around an excellent experience. They were nice and curtious and i left happy everytime. I have 4 cars in my household and because of Gabriel and Yadir I will most certainly go back when our cars need attention. I had a flat tire this afternoon so I went to Firestone to see what could be done. The staff member went to look at it and told me that it could not be fixed because it was too old. He also said that they did not have my tire size in stock so I couldn't get a new one. He went on to explain that it was against the law to fix tires that were older than 5 years ( my car is a 2015). I also bought brand new tires from another place in 2017 and happened to have the receipt. When I showed it to him he said "well, you should take it back to them so they can fix it" (which is what I would have done if they didn't close early). It doesn't sound like Firestone needs my business and if they don't need my business they probably don't need yours either. read more

Awful service, they initially installed my tires about a year ago. In the process they screwed up my censors so when a certain tire is low the warning light shows a different tire. I have taken my car in over 4 times for the same problem and realistically it seems like they don't want to bother with it.. anyways a couple of weeks ago I took my car in for a flat tire...after they kept my car the whole day not only did they scratch up my rim they said nothing was wrong with my tire and they suggested that I take it elsewhere because their machine is not suitable to not damage rims. Went home and next morning the same tire was flat again. This time I took it to American Tire Depot on Ventura Blvd in Camarillo and they found a small nail in my tire, they fixed and my tire has not gone flat since then...not to mention that they did not keep my car all day and they did not charge me. Since I have been going to Firestone in Camarillo, the same employees don't seem to stay employed long. What remains the same is the awful service and their promise to public service is not honored. They do not deserve any stars!!! read more

I called and made an appointment at 10am. I wanted an oil change and break check. The service manager gave me an appointment at noon. I dropped the car off at 11am and left to do errands with my wife. I was told that I would get a call to advise me on the status of the brakes. I was in the area at 1:50pm and saw my car sitting in the same spot. I went in and asked about the status of my car. The manager said that they were "really busy" and had not even looked at my car. Not only did I show up thinking I needed a new battery, got a price quote, then after two tests they told me my battery tested good, no new battery needed, they also checked my tires as the dealership said new tires needed on my last service, and he told me I had 4mm, plenty of good tread left on all 4 tires. Well what a Terrible place Firestone has become, never have I been told to bring my vehicle in after Rudi told me he has my tires and set me up an appointment for 10am this morning, when I got there there was no one at the front desk that is a bad sign, then after 3 minutes Nelson shows up and he looks up my appointment and asks for my keys to get my mileage and check me in after he returns he goes on the computer and says two unbelievable things well mr serna your tires are on back order we do not have them, I asked do you have any others he said no, then he said I can back order two tires of one kind and two tires of another kind and I said why did you even go get my mileage. Pretty much what I say is Firestone does make so much money they don't want to bother with a easily 787.00 tire sale. Came in to have my tire patched.. It took two hours! Whoever worked on my car left their dirty handprints all over my beige interior. I'm talking about the door handle, the top of my fold down mirror, everywhere on the driver's side! Luckily by the time I got my car back it was close to closing so I didn't even have the time or patience to complain. 40 blacks for a patch? I figured I'd at least get some decent customer service. Last month we brought our car in for service to DCH Audi in Oxnard as the check engine light had come on, the service advisor said that there was carbon build up and it needed to be cleaned. Either with cleaner for $200+ or if that didn't work, they would have to remove the head and wire brush the valves for $900. I took the car to Firestone in Camarillo where we live and they did the cleaner for $90. Thanks to Gabriel. Last week the check engine light had come back on and DCH Audi Oxnard said that they would have to pull the head as the carbon build up was like oatmeal and gave my wife pictures to show her. He wanted to wire brush it for $900+. I took the car back into Firestone for a second opinion and Gabriel said the code read that the intake manifold was showing a fault code. Gabriel recommended I take it to Audi as it was still under warranty. I took the car to Rusnak Audi in Thousand Oaks, where they had the same diagnosis, gave me a rental car for two days while they removed and replaced it under warranty with a $0.00 deductible. Went in for a brake change and tune-up and got ripped off instead. They put cheaps brakes on that made so much noise I had to change them again. They installed used spark plug wires so my car ran awful. They over charged for parts and labor and they took all day to do a 2 hour job. Advise find anyone else in Camarillo to work on your car. read more

My BMW had some issues when driving from Santa Barbara to San Diego and I stopped at Firestone because they were the only mechanic in the area open at 5pm on Sunday. Not only did these guys spend three hours trying to diagnose the issue, they didn't charge me one cent because they couldn't figure out what the issue was. They referred me to the local BMW dealership and sent me on my way. Gabriel was extremely professional and helpful. In this day and age of sketchy mechanics and service centers it was extremely refreshing to have been taken care of with absolute honesty and integrity. If you have any issues with your car, or just need basic services definitely take it to these guys. If I didn't live in San Diego I would make these guys my regular mechanic. read more

Hands down the W O R S T experience I have ever had. I will be reporting this particular manager Kenneth Brown to corporate. I receivied awful customer service after paying "extra" for the emergency check. Headlights worked when I went in. Didnt when I picked up, tail light out also. Hey last time I checked tail lights working were kind of an emergency. After complaining about the service, I was told by the "Manager" Kenneth, that it wasn't "his fault. Headlights and tail lights go out.!"! Anyone that owns a 2016 car that replaced both headlights and tail lights after receiving and paying for extra service please raise your hand.! I wrote a review. He called leaving a message how he wanted to make it right and prove this was a "one time thing, not how they want me to think of them." Fast forward to 3 months later. After speaking to Gabriel who receives 5+ s, I was told that my daughters Subaru that needed a transmission flush, and oil change could be done "no problem" they do not repair transmissions (Insert the name Firestone Complete Auto Care) transmissions complete most cars that need oil changes, right? Today after going in on Sunday morning to make an appointment for the car, give Richard the year, make, model of said car. Receive an appointment for Wednesday, 7 am. Given a price for work to be done. Remember to get a price you give Year make model as well as miles for your vehicle. 7am daughter goes in to be told they would only do oil change and tire rotation. They dont have the fluid to do her service. She calls me, but I dont have my phone with me! Hey, I dont need to always have my phone with me, right? He tells her to call Subaru! When I get home from meeting her, I call Firestone, I ask to please leave a message with Gabriel. Whom is 100% the only reason they had a second chance for our service! After all there are a NUMBER of auto repair shops in Camarillo! I leave name, number and reason for my call with Kenny! Within 3 minutes I receive a call from Firestone. To my surprise It is NOT Gabriel, but Kenny! Hmmmm where can I even begin to describe the unprofessional nature of his call? Blaming my daughter, me "you didnt answer your phone, she called you"!! Everyone BUT himself the manager! It even goes as far to say Professionally Managed by Kenneth Brown. When I asked how this could happen, "Richard guessed at the model of the car" he further said "I told her to go to Subaru". But how about going the extra mile Professional Manager, and give her the names and numbers of places she could go, I don't know about any other Professional Managers, but I always checked my schedule, why not call the customer prior to coming in? Explain the problem, apologise keep good will. This place doesn't care if you are inconvenienced, hey we can still change your oil and rotate your tires, just take time out of your week AGAIN and go somewhere else for the rest. Wish I could give No stars, Very dissatisfied and disappointed with service and pike of lies they keep feeding us here. Bought set of 4 new primewellsw/ road hazard for my SUV in Apr '15, along with lifetime alignments. Have been taking it in as recommended every 5k mi for rotation and re-alignments. About 2wks ago I got a nail in tread of left front tire but after taking it in expecting them to remove nail and repair the tire and waiting for 2 hrs, they called to tell me that A) they can't fix fire because the nail is too close to sidewall and B) that I need a new set of tires because prorating and replacing the damaged tire will damage my all wheel drive vehicle and that I need another set of tires (only another $256) when my current ones have less than 15k miles on them and tread markers are still good!! My husband and I had them put the spare on and took my damaged tire to Costco who repaired the tire for only $12 and told me there was no problem with the nail's proximity to sidewall or tread wear. It's ALWAYS best to get a ,2nd opinion when you're dealing with crooks like these. We've been driving on it with no problems but now we are stuck with lifetime re-alignments with a company we no longer want to do business with. Other reviews I've read say the same thing, this is what they do... Get u in the door and lie/cheat to try to get you to buy new tires. This is a a racket and illegal!!! These gentlemen run a busy shop so if your in a rush call ahead and speak to them about your issue. Kenny is a great manager and will advise you on what type of repairs you need. I've found Firestone Camarillo to be very competitive with other shops. Need tires, oil change or an allignment .Give them a call and ask them for competitive pricing. I have been back twice and both times have been super professional and friendly along with speedy. As I understand it, they have a new manager and from the sounds of it go through managers pretty frequent, as of this review, Faroud (spelling?) is the manager. My review distribution is overwhelmingly positive but I feel quite justified in telling the bad side also, with that said, I also things its fair to report if things change and as we all know, they frequently do! read more

The lifetime wheel alignment is a good deal but when you start taking your car back for more alignment they usually put you in last place. It once took them 4 hours to do my alignment. I even made a appointment. I drop off my car at 2 wasn't done till almost 6. This isn't the first time they have done this. When it was determined we needed a new coolant hose assembly, Kenny suggested we check with the dealership to see if it was under warranty so we wouldn't pay for something we could get for free. I have used this Firestone store for new tires on 3 vehicles in the last 2 years. All service was prompt and friendly. And prices competitive with Costco and other dealers. Recently they were able to squeeze in a diagnosis and repair for a slow leaking tire when the tire wasn't one they had put on the vehicle. i went to this tire shop wanted to get my tire repaired....aware of the slight side wall ruffness. i told them that if they can go ahead and patch it up.the sales guy gave me the same ol sales line" blah blah blah this is dangerous" (not knowing ive worked at a tire shop for 7 years patching tires). advice to any person at any shop specialy this one, never deal with the older sales persons, they been in the field for soo long that they just want the easy way out which is to sell you the most expensive part and get their commission. read more

Seems like they're sloppy on the repair work. A friend went there and two days later her Engine Warning light came on. She asked me to look at it, and I found part of the emissions system left loose. It had two tubes that plugged into the air intake after the air filter, so this being loose not only gave a warning light, but was letting unfiltered air into the engine. Before that she had to return a week after they did service because the maintenance light came on. Turns out they hadn't reset the maintenance timer when they did the service. This kind of sloppy service wastes the customers time and possibly money. Since it brings her back into the store, it makes me suspicious whether they were honest mistakes or not. read more

I went here despite the bad reviews because it was a Sunday and they're one of the few tire places open. I had popped a tire the evening before and needed a new one ASAP. I called and was given a reasonable quote and was told they could take my car right then and be done in 20 minutes (granted, I called 10 minutes before they even opened so there probably wasn't much of a wait). Once I got there, the guy (Matt I think) was helpful and even tried to have me wait until Monday to see if where I got my tire originally would be covered by the warranty. After talking it over, we decided since I didn't buy the roadside hazard warranty with the popped tire and I ran over a rock the size of a small island, it wouldn't be covered. Regardless, I appreciated him trying to help me save money. The reasons I put 4 stars is because I know my tires didn't cost as much at my other tire place and because the service took more like 45 minutes instead of 20. However, not once did someone try to upsell me or tell me something else was wrong with my car and what I was quoted on the phone was what I was charged. The staff put an entire extra quart of oil into my car. So, they put my engine at risk of damage and overcharged me 15 bucks. When I returned showing them the error message my car was showing, they lied and told me it was only a hair over the max line, removed the extra oil for free (rightfully so as it was their mistake in the first place), but did not refund me the fifteen dollars. Won't be returning here in the future, and I wouldn't recommend going here if you have an older European model. Research your vehicle's stats! read more
