Returning customer with a scheduled appointment for an alignment for my AWD SUV. When paying the bill, I asked for a printed receipt and the employee said that it would be emailed to me. Not my preference, but OK. It seemed strange to me that they didn't review the results of the alignment. I didn't receive an emailed statement, so I called the shop and asked for a receipt to include the specifications of the alignment (toe, camber, etc.) and they said that their machine was broken and couldn't print anything. I asked why this wasn't disclosed to me prior to the service, and they wouldn't answer the question. I have nothing to show for the work that they did, the results, etc. I really wonder if they did anything to align the vehicle. I won't go back. read more

I am never coming to this location again. I needed to get a tire rotation and other basic work done. In the past I would just log into the app and make an appointment. Did it for this location because it was the closest one to where I just moved to. Went in and was told that the appointment system is flawed (never happened at the other two firestone's I went to for years) and that they won't be able to see me that day. I asked if I can hang out and see if I can get the work done and was told that It wouldn't happen today. The guy behind the counter asked if I wanted to use "their flawed appointment system" to make an appointment and I told him I was only free on weekends. We made an appointment for the following Saturday at 7am. I walked in after I checked in and handed over my fob I asked about how long it would take. I was told even though I made an appointment, I was on standby in the event someone didn't show up or canceled. They would try to get the work done today but it could be as late as Sunday. I got a call around 2 that afternoon and was told what they found and a quote. They would call when they were done. My dumb ass thought "ok should be a few hours and I would have my car". Nope, they closed at 6 and I still had no call or car. It is now Sunday, I called in around 9am and was told that my car was not ready. They have no clue when it was going to be done and it was currently up with the wheels off. I asked if it would get done today and was told that I would get a call today or tomorrow to pick up. WTF is that. What is the point of appointments? If you checked my car, why didn't you get to work after calling me and getting the ok to do what was needed? If you are this understaffed, hire people. If it is poor management, fire them. This location is a joke. read more

Not sure why this shop has such bad reviews on here. These guys have helped me out in a pinch twice now! Once with a flat tire and most recently with a bad serpentine belt. I had my car towed there and Christian made sure to notify me when the car got there, immediately identified the problem, and had it completely repaired and up and running in no time! Not to mention this shop is one of the few in Boise open all weekend. Will definitely be bringing both of our vehicles here for all of our repairs and maintenance. read more

I see this location has some bad reviews, but when I got the dreaded low tire pressure light on a Sunday, it was the only place open nearby. I drove over, and although business was booming, they took the time to check and adjust my tire pressure and sent me on my way. I always appreciate friendly customer service. read more

Firestone on Broadway in Boise completely re did my cooling system in my Subaru. Initially they said it was done and I picked it up but it wasn't done correctly. They payed to have my car towed back and fixed it over the course of five days or so. They also payed for my rental car. I really appreciate their customer service. read more

Worst auto care I must say.... I got life time tire alignment with firestone couple of years ago and today they gave me an appointment at 2 for alignment and when I went in at 2 the guy at the front desk said that it will take an hr and then when I checked back with him after an hr they dint even start working on my car and he said they have couple of cars ahead of me and it will take several hours to work on mine. When I asked him what is the point of making an appointment and giving a time slot he just arrogantly said that as per their policy when they give an appointment they will be able to see the car but no guarantee to finish or start the work. Absolutely terrible service. I called ahead of time to ask if they were busy and could help with a flat tire. I get there and they try to sell me on thousands of dollars of repairs, opening a credit card and TOOK OVER AN HOUR to fix my tire when it wasn't busy. The tire didn't even have a hole it needed to have some small corrosion fixed then aired back up and it took over an hour. Then they charged me for it.......Les Schwab would have helped for free. Battery in my truck was getting weak. Took it to Broadway Firestone for a new battery. They put in a new battery. The positive terminal was badly corroded. They left the corrosion on the terminal and made no effort to clean it and put it back onto the new battery. Shoddy work. I had to clean the terminal myself. If not, I am sure it would have failed. read more

I took my car in to get my brakes checked. They told me that my rotors THRASHED and my brake pads were GARBAGE and said I needed to replace all four rotors and all four brake pads. They wanted to charge me $700 for parts and labor. I got a second opinion, and a third, and both of them said my brakes and rotors were FINE. They cleaned off the rotors and brakes and everything has been smooth since then. Firestone tried to scam me into a $700 purchase that was completely UNNECESSARY. read more

On 6/9/2019 My wife took her car in for an oil change and tire rotation and inspection. inspection stated that $1695.00 in repairs were needed. These repairs included replacement of the valve cover gaskets because they were said to be leaking oil though there was no oil leaking onto my driveway. On 6/29 returned to have repairs done. When we returned to pick up car and paid the $1695.00 I put the car in reverse and it started shake was told there was water on the coils from pressure washing the engine problem solved. We drove the car home and the service engine light came on, My wife returned to firestone and was told some wires were connected improperly.Then started to notice oil leaking onto driveway. Back to firestone again. I was told by Audrey the manager they would perform a blue dye leak test (which already had been done) and to come back in two weeks???? Test was done and I came back in two weeks only to be told this time that the leak was coming from the air conditioner compressor and that it was very minor. I then took the car to the dealership and was told leak was coming from timing cover. Oil still leaking onto my driveway $1695.00 for a repair that was no done. I have been living in Boise for over 36 years, this is the worst service I have ever experienced. Consumer beware of THIS firestone location. read more

I brought my car in for tires and an oil change on 9/19/2019. When I arrived, I told the gentleman behind the counter that I knew that 3 of 4 TPMS sensors were bad, and would need to be replaced. I asked about the TPMS Kit that was included on the quote, and asked if that was to replace the TPMS sensors. I was told that the kit does replace the sensors if needed. A few hours later Audrey called me the first time to tell me that the tires that were on my quote were not available, and up-sold me a more expensive set. About two hours after this call, she called again telling me that the TPMS sensors were bad and needed to be replaced at a cost of 123.99 per wheel. I told her that in the quote that I received, I made sure to inform the person at the counter that checked my car in that the sensors were in need of replacement, and asked if that was included in that quote. I was told, yes, that is included in the quote. She then told me that I was wrong, that they would have to charge me extra for those parts if they were to continue with the tire change. I declined the service, and I am now taking the car to Meineke Car Care Center on W. State Street. The tires are less expensive, and they do not try to upsell you on things that you do not need. These guys really helped us out (shoutout to Dan!) after we pitched our alignment out of whack while plowing through miles of deep snow in the sawtooths. One of the one mechanic places open on a Sunday, they got us in right away and got the work done ASAP. They even spent some time to heat up our frozen wiper fluid squirters and fixed a squeak they heard in the timing belt. Top notch service. I'm not happy with their Customer Service. I made an appointment and it was from 4-5pm for my snow tires. I got there at 4 on the dot and they said it would be ready at 6 or 6:30 that they were busy and running late. THEN to make it worse I called at 6 and they said 'we should be able to get it done tonight". How the heck am I suppose to get home? You have my car! No apologies when I told them I had to cancel 2 appointments and wait 3 hours longer than expected. I'm still here. It's 7pm and I will never go back here again, They seem to just ignore the fact that they are late by telling me they were busy. That is not good customer service. read more

I have never had such a poor customer experience with any organization in my entire life. We had my daughters tire repairs several weeks ago and from the minute it was repaired she let them know her sensor was showing it low. She waited two weeks after only driving a few times and brought it back in and they said there was two additional nails and the tire could not be repaired. I told them to put the tire back on and she would pick it up to bring to another tire shop. She shows up and they put a flat tire on her car. When we brought it in it was slowly losing air. It was never flat. I asked to talk to the manager and the gal Audrey that has given us the worst customer service is apparently the only person to talk to . I would NOT recommend this place. MORE on this. My daughter brought her car and the same tire to another tire shop in Boise. Firestone put a plug in the 1st repair and did not seal the tire correctly. They told us the tire was repairable due to two additional nails. The other store was able to repair no problem and they were not nails there were small pin holes. Firestone also told us they had to replace all 4 tires that they were unsafe. The tires have been on the car for less than 6 months and have approx. 14,000 miles on them. They tried to take advantage of our daughter. I feel there are very dishonest and unethical. read more

Probably the best, most complete and fastest service I have received from a tire/auto repair service. I am an active duty Soldier and was traveling out of state on a training mission. My rental vehicle had a flat tire and the rental company instructed me to find the nearest firestone. Although very busy, with cars in all the bays, they quickly got me in and within 20 minutes the tire was repaired. Great service at the Boise, Firestone. I will recommend them without hesitation. I had the pest experience at this store. I brought my car in for service and tire rotation. I left it and was told they'd call me when it was ready. It was nearing the end of the day and I still hadn't heard from them so I called. I was told it was done and ready for pick up. I took the car. The next day the service light came on. I took it back in thinking they forgot to reset it. They told me how to do it and I left. The light came back on again the next day! I reset it again. This continued a couple more times and I finally took it back in. A tech looked at the car and told me the oil wasn't changed. They tried to make it sound like they did other work but not the oil! My car is a company car so billing is done directly with the fleet company. I never received an apology. I double checked and luckily there wasn't a bill for an oil change. I spent a lot of time running back and forth and was told an oil change was done. I signed paperwork stating this. This place is fraudulent and not to be trusted. read more

I went into Firestone to get a diagnostic on my 2006 Volvo and the guy at the counter tells me that they will charge me $100 in order to figure out what's wrong with my car... On top of this ridiculous pricing, I find out that there is something wrong with my ignition coils, so the representative gives me a quote for $120 PER COIL (5) on top of labor and the total will come out to be over $700. I went home and bought a set of five coils on Amazon for $77, YouTubed how to replace the coils at home. It only took me 30 minutes and I'm not a professional... the gentlemen at the counter were very kind and I have no complaints regarding the service but the business itself is overpriced. Firestone would be my LAST OPTION. read more

No one likes getting their car serviced. It is inconvenient and usually expensive. Plus you can never be sure exactly how crucial the stuff they are selling you is. I have been to several of the auto parts places in a couple of different states and Firestone is consistently good. Spending the money is never fun, but it beats having your car explode somewhere out there. I don't know what it is about auto care places, but I just get sleepy walking in there. Maybe it's the lighting. That's why I appreciate anyone whose job it is to endure the task of staying awake and fixing my vehicle. Firestone does a great job of both of those things. read more

I've used this location for tire work, oil changes, etc. multiple times without incident, and have been pleased with their customer service. Yesterday, I called to confirm an appointment to get tires switched to snow tires, oil change, and headlight replacement. I asked the technician whether it would be a problem if he could leave the key under the floor mat so that I could pick the car up after they closed at 6pm. He assured me that leaving the key under the mat would be no problem. At 5:30, I called to confirm that I would, in fact for sure not be there until after 6, but would the work be done by 6, and would the key would be left under the mat. The new manager reacted wirh surprise, and explained she could not allow the key to be put inder the mat after hours because of liability and theft concerns, despite what her employee had told me. This required that I change my transportation plans to go back and get my car immediately. I had to call for an Uber (rather than rely on a friend who got off work after 6pm) so that I would be there before they closed at 6 p.m. I arrived via Uber, with the cost associated with, shortly before 6 pm. Although they were now closed, my car was not ready until well after 6:30 pm. When I explained that my car had been promised to be ready at 6 p.m. and that I thought they wouldn't wait because of them closing at 6 pm, I was cited corporate policy about leaving key under the mat, what a liability that was, Etc. I explained that now I had waited longer than promised and could have had my friend pick me up to take me to get my car, without incurring extra expenses because of their false deadlines and refusal to work with me by leaving a key under the mat. I was again cited corporate policy, they were not willing to be responsible for my car theft, Etc. ad nauseam. All the manager had to do, was to tell me that they could not in the future leave my key under the mat, but that they would be willing to wait for me until 6:30 p.m. That way, I would have understood their future policy, and had a reasonable solution to come get my car after hours. The manager seemed so unreasonable to work with, citing nothing but corporate policy, concern about responsibility for car theft, etc. I simply refuse to do business with a branch location of a major corporation, who hires "robots" who simply want to cite corporate policy, and won't work with their customers. I do not recommend having your car repaired at this location, unless you want broken promises and the threat of having your car impounded unless you happen to have a spare key ready to use to pick up your car after hours. Over the years I have purchased at least four sets of Firestone tires from this store. NO MORE! A tire sensor in my 16 year old Grand Cherokee was telling me my driver's front tire had a slow leak. I called this Firestone store yesterday afternoon and they said bring it in. I did and after a few minutes I was told they could not get to it and said I could bring it in this morning. I happened to look out into the shop and everybody, including the manager were standing around eating. It was after 3:00 pm so it seemed a bit late for everybody to be eating. This morning, I brought the car in at the appointed time for the repair. Nearly an hour later the "manager" said they could not fix the tire because the tire sensor was broken. They further determined that two others were busted as well. Before the tire could be repaired, the manager said all the defective sensors needed to be replaced at $125.00 each. I asked them to simply repair the tire with the leak. The manager refused to do so saying that it was "corporate policy" that the sensors must be replaced. After trying to make sense of this ridiculous situation, I asked to speak to a person higher up in the food chain, to which the manager once again stated that it was corporate policy and there was no option. I had at this point been in this store for an hour. During that hour I was I enjoyed listening to the manager visit with a guy about their trucks and bed liners and a chat with a vendor about the manager's aspirations to get a job in Boston or Seattle. Only after these chats, which took a combined 20 minutes, did the manager say that my Firestone tire could not be repaired. I asked that my car be pulled around and I left. I drove down to Les Schwartz where my car was on the rack before I got in the store. Five minutes later, the tech told me my valve stem and sensor was broken. I explained my horror story at Firestone to which he said that he could replace the valve stem without the sensor. In less than 15 minutes, I was on my way, valve replaced, leak stopped. Granted, my sensor for that tire no longer works on my display, but for $60.00 and the leaked fixed, I was happy with that. Firestone, your manager at this store cost you a customer. read more

These people did not honor the warranty they sold me on. I came in with one tire dead and needing 4 because I have a Volvo s 60 that is all wheel drive. They told me if one tire died they would replace 4 of them. I told them that my car eats tires and was assured it was actual miles not tread-ware. Fast forward 22,500 miles into my 45 ,000 miles 23 months later. I picked up a nail. I also had a slash in the tire. They told be it wasn't road hazard and wasn't covered under warranty. To be nice they offered to sell me a lower quality tire for $80 less than I paid for my tires . Today they offered me tires for $200 more than I paid saying the road hazard only took $1 off each tire. When I bought the tires they told me I needed $960 of car work. I had just had an alignment at Les Schwab so I took it back there. They told me that my car would run fine and I would just have to rotate my tires on schedule. The Volvo people have told me the S60's back calipers are bolted on and cannot be adjusted. I do not know who is right but I know I feel that the warranty was totally misrepresented. When I took my car to have the tires rotated I had to make an appointment (never had to do that with Les Schwab) and it took over 1 hour each time. When I took my tire in to be fixed they told me that it would be several hours before they could look at it. I have bought my tires elsewhere and will not do business with these people again. This is long-winded, but please read everything. I went in for an alignment on 4/6/2018, I have the Lifetime Alignment Service. When finished the Tech mentioned to me that the eccentric(cam) bolt was stripped from the last Tech, therefore making it difficult to get into spec. Eccentric bolts only strip if abused. My car is religiously maintained and not neglected, plus Firestone on Broadway has performed all of my alignments since 2016. After the Tech spoke to the manager, Audrey, claiming that the damage was done by them she said thatthey would fix the problem only because I was whining and complaining too much. If a shop damages your vechicle they must make good, correct? I was told by Audrey that they would contact me when the part arrived. After a few weeks I called for an update only to be told by Audrey, Manager of Firestone, that she could not find the part number from Mitsubishi. She is very unprofessional. Finally on 5/23/2018(6 weeks and 5 days after being told they would fix their mistake) I spoke to Dan. He said I could come in on the 24th. Well, it turns out they the Tech did not just strip the eccentric bolt, but he damaged my subframe. I tried speaking to Audrey to resolve the problem and was given even more attitude than usual from her, once again extremely unprofessional. I was basically told by Audrey that the problem was mine. Given no other choice, that same day I called Firestone HQ and started a claim with Shane(5/24/2018). On 5/25/2018 Gill Leon called me requesting that I get an estimate from Mitsubishi for the repair. Which I did on the 5/25/2018 and emailed him the results($1,600). Mitsubishi stated that the damage occures when a Tech tightens the eccentric bolt without checking that it is in place first. Gil Leon replied to that email stating that he would get back to me on or around Tuesday after Memorial Day. On 5/31/2018 I sent Gil Leon an other email. On 6/7/2018 after no word I called HQ and spoke to Shane again, who put an alert on Gil Leon to contact me with an update. On 6/18/2018 and still word. I called HQ again and spoke to Brian who put another alert on the Supervisor to Gil Leon, David Verde. I also left a message and emailed David Verde on 6/18/2018. Today is 6/25/2018 and still no update from Firestone. I must say since Audrey has taken over managerial duties at Broadway that the service has gone downhill quickly. My first experience with her was her badmouthing Boise and Idaho. Commenting that the state and its people are subpar and that it was much better in Beaverton, OR and Los Angles, CA. That she hates living in Boise. Why move then? read more
