Purchased brand new wheels for my brand new truck from them and they put them on for me. I took it home and the wheel was shaking as if it was not balanced correctly. I then took it back for them to re balance and once again it was not balanced. Even worse, I took a look at the back wheel and they completely scratched the inner wall of my brand new wheel when trying to move the balance weights. I took it back again and showed them, and they said they would get me another wheel. but when I asked them to put that wheel on my spare, because I had already got it ceramic coated, he charged me half price on the extra wheel, at full cost, not even at what they could buy them for at the time. Manager was very rude and it took them 2 and a half hours from my arrival to complete the new tire and balance. best part of it all is that it still isn't balanced..... never going back read more

I went in not knowing if I had a warranty still and had a tread issue. The guy brings a tread scanner and says they all are showing in the good tread green but where the issue was there is wearing so he cannot honor the warranty that I did still have. He said all the tires show they are fine on the machine but he's a specialist and he can see wear on the inside and even one spot will terminate the warranty then followed it up that he would find a spot on every tire do I won't be using my warranty. I need new tires because on AWD you have to replace them all but they only have 2 so I buy the front two. I go to car and ask if they need anything from me. They said no. I'm standing outside and look over.... My stuff from my trunk (keep in mind I'm traveling) is on the bay floor!! My CPAP is opened and laying there! My BRA was on the floor of my trunk! Bags in the ground. I attached a picture of after they put things back in. My cooler was on front passenger floor and they put it on seat crushing my rayband glasses to get into my glovebox and left it! They did not ask for permission to get in trunk or glovebox and I asked if they needed anything moved he said no. I told them it was unacceptable and one employee apologized and said he thought the guy asked and said he knows he's rude and he just is young so doesn't know yet but he's sorry. That young guy ran over and said oh yeah sorry I forgot. They said they could wipe my stuff off with chemical wipes. It gets worse.... I get to my airbnb and walk to passenger side and see my rim. It is scratched up with gouges from them. I can see the marks lining up with the tires marks from new tire. So I have my partner call them since I'm beyond frustrated and it's been about a month and the manager won't even return our phone calls. I get to my hometown and get my back 2 tires done and they say they would have warrantied those tires and there was no excuse for my experience there. I still have yet to get my rim fixed, my glasses replaced, or even a return call to find a solution to the issues they have caused. read more

Stopped here because woke up with a low tire. They found a screw in one tire. After confirming it had sufficient tread, they fixed it for free. Riley promised ready at 9:30, 2 people in front of me. Delivered at 9am. I like places that under promise and over deliver. Note i can get on with way travels with out concern for my tires. Thank You. Set an appointment online. They were an hour late to even start. Then refused to fix a flat on a tire which was not worn out down to the tread bars. Would also not do a tire rotation. ONLY wanted to sell new tires. Go somewhere else that actually has good service. Never again with Discount tire. FYI, they will also leave you in the cold with a snow tire change over if your tire dates are what they consider out of date. Even if the tires are like new. read more

When you have these young kids working here like Grady who have no clue what they are doing. They come to work hung over and possibly recovering from a night of partying. To trust them to put tires on your vehicle you drive daily is scary. The managers should really watch who they hire. It's reckless to not do background checks. I made an appointment to switch tires from 1 set of rims to another and balance those. Prior query estimate was around $145 to get this done. I came in and was told $181 for the work. Called the Garden City Discount Tire and was told it would be $146. Called Les Schwab and was told $143. I was gouged but them and even with an appointment still waited 1.5 hours for tire swaps. I really liked this location years ago when I first gave them my business and have bought 3 sets of tires from them. I am done with them now. read more

Somewhere along the line, I picked up a screw in my tire and with it, a slow leak. I brought my vehicle in to Discount first thing in the am on the day after turkey day to get it repaired. The gentleman who assisted me gave me a projected time that it would be completed and off I went to grab a cuppa. My initial experience was generally positive. I selected the tires and the store staff assisted me with the order and an appointment for installation. Install went fine...reasonably fast. At the time of the installation, the staff told me to come back to the store after I had driven the car 100 miles so they could check and re-torque the lug nuts. This is a 1.25 hour round trip for me so I found a gap in my calendar and went back to the shop this morning. The staff member at the store told me that a re-torque wasn't necessary and essentially "dismissed" me - he was quite indignant and uncaring about my waste of time. I suggested that they re-train their staff and pretend like they care. read more

Despite me scheduling an appointment at 1pm on a weekday, apparently the walk-ins had caused the wait time to be loooong. Patrick (who I believe was my rep for the day) quoted me an hour and a half, so I ran some errands while I waited. He was very friendly and informative. I ended up receiving a text and a call letting me know that my car was ready only after an hour. My review is for the store on State Street in Boise. Not this location. Since they don't have a Yelp address I just wanted to recognize them for their great work. Just really wanted to thank the guys for going beyond their call of duty and helping us out. This was couple weeks ago and we were in a rush to leave town. I only shop for tires at discount tires and have for over 20 years. For me that's a lot of wheels and tires. Every time I go they are fast, friendly and efficient. I have never left disappointed. Each visit it seems the staff in the shop are having fun yet working hard and fast. I'm always in abs out quickly and love to see the staff having fun while at work. I had a flat tire. I asked how much to repair it? They said it's free, the catch was the puncture has to be dead center of the tire tread. Which most of my tire punctures aren't, and this wasn't. My two star review isn't because they were mean or rude. It's because I had to go to their competitor to get my issue fixed. The customer rep was courteous and did his best to sell me a used tire, with all off the reasons why I should spend the money. I'm not upset about them trying to get me to buy a tire or make a sell, it's the right business decision for them. I also get they have standards in how they fix tires, they don't fix holes in the side walls of tires. My dissatisfaction is because they didn't even try, and their competitor did. Don't really have expectations from this establishment as I have never used their services before. I had appointment set and arrived about 10 or so minutes before my appointment and waited while the staff behind the counter helped the customer they were currently with. Upon completion with the customer ahead of me the staff member then proceeded to walk right past me and over to a gentleman who appeared to have walked in after, I proceeded to let the staff membe know I was there first and had to repeat myself about three times before he actually answered me. He then looked from me to the man, then back to me a few times and asked to help the man first. I understand that helping this man was obviously going to be a much shorter interaction but that is beside the point, the point is I showed up for an appointment and was invisible to staff and bypassed and still helped after the fact. I then come back just before closing to pick my vehicle up and see my vehicle sitting near the entrance/exit unlocked with the windows down with my personal belongings and work badge/sensitive information just sitting there unprotected. Wouldn't rotate my tires because they aren't the ones that came with the truck. I have a 2016 ram 2500 outdoorsman my wheels and tires are from a 2017 ram 2500 powerwagon. I was told by discount that they wouldn't touch them, even tho last time I went to have them mounted and placed on the truck costing me $30 per tire it was fine. I don't think I will be back anytime soon or ever, even tho I am looking for new KO2s for my truck in the next 6 months or so. UPDATE: After writing this review I received a phone call from the store apologizing for the frustration I had about the situation and offered to refund my fee they charged me 6 months ago. read more

I had Discount Tire rotate and balance my wheels. A few months later I needed to remove a tire and was not able to with the tools in my truck because Discount torqued the lugs on extremely tight. I ended up having to use a 3 foot bar and my body weight to break all the lugs loose. I'm guessing the employee that tightened these either didn't know what they were doing or didn't care. read more
