Tom and Tammy have taken care of generations of our vehicles - highly recommend! Spark plugs, oil changes, control arms, shocks you name it

I used to take my cars here. Always 100% repaired my cars on time and to quoted price.

Brought my Mazda in for some trouble with one of the wheels. They had it fixed and ready to go in 2 hours. The charge was very reasonable. Will definitely be using them again for my future service needs. read more

Boise foreign car thank you!! They were so kind walking me through everything, figured out what was wrong with my car pretty quick and got it resolved quickly as well, I'm so appreciative and will definitely be taking all of my car services back to them in the future! read more

I was a long time customer of Boise Foreign car service because of their honesty about what I did and didn't need to have done to my car. Then I moved to Colorado four years ago. I have taken my car to three shops for maintenance and oil changes and haven't been able to trust their recommendations... and feel I have been ripped off. Two places were visited in the last two months and they found different issues. One said all four brakes were worn down to 3mm. I didn't have them do the work, though. Because I was driving to Boise for vacation, I made an appointment with Boise Foreign Car Service. I even told them to replace the brakes. Tom called me to say that all my brakes had 60-65% remaining life on them!! He recommended NOT replacing them at this time. He could have done the repairs and taken my money, but that's not the way they do business. I wholeheartedly recommend Boise Foreign Car Service to everyone who will list read more

You can really on Tom for quality service, honest information and great pricing for his work. He was much cheaper for a radiator replacement than a stealership. He's got all much repair business for now on. Just a very good experience in every regard. read more

We love Boise Foreign Car Service! They take time to explain things in detail, always get the work done at the quoted price or less, and the shop is immaculate. read more

We had Boise Foreign Auto do our 60k tune up and as usual they did a great job at a fair price. We've had them do all our major servicing on a Toyota, Subaru, and Honda. So that puts us at about 20 years of being a satisfied customer. read more

They take the time to check out what repairs or maintenance is needed, and to explain it completely. I'm never under any pressure to to have work completed, and so happy that Tom loves what he does. Fair pricing, and honest service! That's not always easy to find. read more

Tom helped me get my daughter's Subaru Outback back on the road after a small accident. He was easy to get a hold of and communicated clearly what he could see that needed to get fixed and other issues that he thought could come up. He also recommended a great body shop and put me in touch with them. The price came in a little under the original quote. Bottom line - I trust this shop and will be taking our cars here in the future. read more

I have been going to Boise Foreign Car Service for about 20 years. I appreciate the care they take with my vehicles. They are honest, kind, and very skilled. read more

I highly recommend Boise Foreign Car Service. In February, I got a quote from Tom for a 60k service for my Honda CRV. Due to lack of driving, we didn't reach that mileage until Labor Day. We called to schedule the service mid-September. Fortunately, they were able to schedule us within two weeks. Boise Foreign Car Service has a secure parking lot. So, you can drop off your car during business hours the day before if you don't want to drive over in the morning. Tom and co. texted us by lunchtime that our Honda was ready to be picked up. Everything looked good. Our tires were a bit low, so they added the appropriate level of air. Tom and co. are so thorough. Tom is willing to review the work and explain as much detail as you're interested. I trust him implicitly. Tom was recommended to us in 2006. He maintained our former vehicle, a 2003 Subaru Forester, until we traded it in. We knew that when we were no longer under warranty with our Honda that we would resume our car service with Tom and co. FWIW, the original quote from February was honored. That's customer service! read more

My ac and heater recently went out in my car, and being new to Idaho i had no idea where to go. I asked around and i am glad i chose this shop! I made an appointment to get my car checked out, and they were able to fix it very quickly. Friendly service, good pricing and you get your vehicle back in great shape! Will definitely be back for future services. read more

I had a refreshing experience today at Boise Foreign Car Service. I took my car in for an O2 sensor issue. My brake light was coming on intermittently as well. I asked them to take a look at my brake pads, just in case it was time to replace them. They called me an hour after I dropped it off, confirmed the O2 sensor suspicion and told me all I needed was a little brake fluid. I was prepared to replace the pads but they were honest (and amazing) and they earned my business. I'll definitely be using these guys in the future. Thank you SO much! read more

Tom went above and beyond by finding out that my daughter's Outback had engine work done before we bought the car at a dealership and therefore the needed repairs would still be under warranty. The extra homework he did saved us a ton of money and meant that he didn't get to do the very expensive repair in his shop. This truly shows how Tom is looking out for his customers best interests and not his own. I can't say enough about the service we've received and how I wish I could have a trust worthy shop like Boise Foreign Car Service back in California for all my other cars. read more

Tom and co were very simply impressive!! From my first call to tom following the recommendation of a friend, tom took all the time needed to explain what and how they'd do the work. Very patient and up front. No surprises and the total came in at LESS than the max he said it could be. As the owner of two subarus, BFA is the only place!! read more

Boise Foreign Car is the best shop I've ever dealt with. They are always incredibly helpful and I know I can trust their advice.

I was having a problem with my transmission. Tom was able to get it in quickly, evaluate the problem and gave me three possible solutions. I was able to move forward without a long delay or investing money in a vehicle that I would never recoup. read more

A great place to take your vehicle when you have a car trouble. and they tell you exactly what needs to be repaired. Thank you

Tom runs an excellent shop and is very honest and works with you to find viable solutions to get your car fixed. I trust them enough to send my children to them so they are pretty darn good! read more

This is the only place you want to take your Toyota if you want quality, honest fair cost repair or maintenance. I've been going here for 8 years and sent numerous friends and everyone is very happy with their experience. Tom is the most honest fair man you will ever deal with. read more

Finding the right car service place is a very complicated (and potentially harrowing) process. Very happy to have found this professional & reliable car service shop at the recommendation of the folks at Hurless bros. Previously, I'd been taking my car to Dennis Dillon. Every oil change appt. ended up being a min $300 deal. At BFCS, our maintenance bills are down to less than $100 / turn. Car is running great as well. Needless to say I am one happy customer! read more

Stopped here while road tripping across the country and pressed for time. Kind and reputable service provided by Tom P, and the woman who helped take our payment. Went above and beyond to help, even giving us detailed instructions on how to get help in the future, and topped off our oil. Thanks for making the stop a productive, and pleasant experience! read more

These guys in Boise went the extra mile to save me money as best they could. The guy that helped me explained how I could save money, and was even proactive about warning me about additional charges. He was easy to talk to and didn't rush me. They may be a bit pricier than some alternatives. But, compare my experience BFCS with what I got at Meineke on State St. I was very careful in asking the guy at Meineke what my final bill would be, he reassured me, and yet he still tacked on a surprise $15 for "shop expenses" when it was time to pay, which he said included crap like rags. Uh huh. I will never use Meineke again. read more

This family run business is very honest. the ladies at front desk were very welcoming. The guy listened to my requests and fixed my brake issue in an hour. He didn't even charge me for fixing the engine check light and the brake lights. Price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to do repair work done on a foreign car. read more

Had an electrical issue the Toyota dealer couldn't figure out and was only guessing at. Tom not only diagnosed the issue, but fixed it in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. I'm never taking my Sienna anywhere else. read more

I'm close to 200,000 miles on my 2006 outback. They keep it in excellent condition. Highly recommend them!

I own a 25 year old Japanese sports car and had problems finding shifter cables. Tom the owner took a special interest in my problem. First he tried to work with the cables in the car, which were from a junkyard. He even said he would try to fabricate cables if needed. Fortunately I was able to find new replacement cables. He went the extra mile to be sure they would fit the car. I am sure he spent more hours in trying to help me than he billed me for. I can't recommend him enough. read more

I have lived pretty much all over the U.S. and rarely have found a car repair service as honest and capable as BFCS. I have a 2005 Highlander and they always seem to know exactly what's wrong and how to fix it. No runaround. No add-ons. They quote you a fair price and stick to it. The owner is one of the most knowledgeable car guys I have ever met. In fact, I had been told my coolant system was leaking and probably needed replacing by another service station. BFCS didn't hesitate to put the car up on the lift the minute I drove in. They did a thorough inspection and said there was nothing wrong. And they didn't charge for their considerable time. If you drive a foreign car, don't go anywhere else. And, no, I am not being paid for my review. I believe good people should be rewarded for their integrity. read more
