Oh my goodness, I am BEYOND pleased with my experience today at Western Auto Service!! I will start and end by sharing my interaction(s) with Jacqueline, my service advisor. I scheduled my appointment over the phone and Jacqueline was so kind, positive, and professional. She is very knowledgeable while at the same time, so easy to communicate with. Upon arrival today, Jacqueline greeted me by my name, was incredibly engaging, and took charge to get my service done! My technician was amazing! He was as fast and efficient, while taking the time to answer my questions. The waiting area and office is inviting and comfortable, complete with a beautiful array of snacks, cold bottled water, and a Keurig with all the fixings. My wait was short and the price was beyond reasonable given the service I was provided. I had the pleasure of seeing Alex again, one of the owners (husband:), which was lovely. Upon departure, Jacqueline bid me goodbye warmly, making me even more certain that I will be returning for all of my vehicle maintenance and repairs! read more

Had my transmission serviced. Chris did a great job and then inspected my entire vehicle for any future issues. He then gave me a write up and the cost for several other minor maintence items to take care of. Thank You!!! read more

Positive... very Nice people and helpful!!! Negative... prices charged and quoted higher than LM Dodge Service. Dodge $99.00 oil change...Western Auto quoted $149. Western Auto charged $298 to diagnose check engine light.... Dodge quoted $198 Western Auto Quote for Intake Manifold replacement was $2882 plus was told this required an oil change @ $149.... (oil changed less than 1000 miles ago)... Dodge quoted $2570 no oil change required. Not adverse to supporting a small business but probably not this time. $600 difference all in. Granted Dodge Ram 1500 EcoDiesels have a history with needing costly repairs -- Hopefully do not end up regretting my decision to go with a dealer, but as evidenced by my purchase of the ecodiesel, I may not have a strong track record with making good choices read more

First time taking my 2013 328i bmw there today, ( basic oil change / new air filter ) absolutely blown away at the exceptional customer service and the attention to detail to my car! If you need anything for your vehicle! Go here!!!!! Thank you western auto service! read more

Jacqueline and Jason were awesome. Had some electrical issues with my ram 2500 and they didn't go over the limit with the hours and kept it affordable and the communication was perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone needing some work done. read more

I've consistently had good service at Western Auto. Jacqueline and Jason worked very hard with my CarMax warranty company to get a spendy repair approved. I felt like they were on my side. Additionally, I brought in my car for a separate issue. After the diagnostic, they told me the issue was covered by Subaru as an extended warranty, so to take it there for a free repair. I appreciated their honesty, and they also don't upsell work or give a false sense of urgency. Will definitely return! read more

Long story short: What an amazing group of knowledgeable mechanics! Long story long: We were making our way from Oregon to Wisconsin (moving for work). When we got to Caldwell we started experiencing some issues with our car. We thought something had gotten stuck underneath it or something. By the time we reached southeast Boise, the sound was getting louder and it sounded like popcorn popping inside and outside the car, we knew whatever was wrong could not wait till we make it to Wisconsin. I start calling around for a mechanic and like magic when I spoke to Tim from Western auto service I knew we would be in good hands. Since it was late in the day and we were on a time schedule they told us they could give it a listen/look and see if it was something serious. Tim and Austin came out and took the time to speak to us, listened to our concerns and went out to see the car. They let us both know that it was something to probably look into. We decided to leave our car in their care and in less than 24 hours they fixed her back up. What made this experience special was the care they went into making us feel included. I was getting phone call updates from Tim as they worked on my car. When I went to go pick up my car, Tim brought out the damaged piece of the car and educated us on what they did and how this piece functions in the car. I can't even begin to describe how incredible touch I was that he even did that. He didn't have to do that, but the fact that he wanted to reassure us that they were not there trying to play games or upsell us, says so much to the standards and values this place holds. Listen no one wants to go to a mechanic willingly, we go because there is a problem that we are incapable of fixing (like going to the hospital).I've been to many other mechanics and this one shines above and beyond any other big hot shot place. Mind you my car 2 weeks ago went in for a check at the Jeep dealership prior to us taking this long road trip. Jeep told me the only issue I had was my battery and coolant tank was leaking... which those two items were replaced not even 9 months ago. If it wasn't for Tim, Austin and the whole team at Western auto service we could have ended up seriously injured. Words cannot even compare to the gratitude we have for Western auto service but thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart. If you are ever in the need for outstanding mechanics look no further. read more

Before service was completed I was given one price and agreed to it. After the job was done, I was given a higher price after they told me one of the services did not need to be completed after all. When I asked for clarification, the staff was condescending and gave vague and conflicting answers. It felt like they were intentionally being deceptive to squeeze more money out of the job. Transparency is the bare minimum I expect, and this business fell far short. read more

They did an excellent job for us at a very reasonable price when our regular vehicle repair person did not want to do it. We were impressed that they did the repair the very next day. We will definately take our truck there from now on to have repair work done. read more

Service was awesome! I would take my vehicle back again! Pricing was very reasonable. A great value overall!

I took my car here to get a minor repair. They told me they were going to get the replacement part in on Friday so Friday afternoon I called asking for an update because I hadn't heard anything. they said my car was done. I told them I would come in that same day because he said they closed at 5:30. I arrived there before 5:30 and the lights were off and the doors to the building were locked. The doors to my car, sitting right out front, however were not. My car was left unlocked overnight so I locked it with the button inside. I also looked for about 15 min incase they had left my key somewhere in or around my car and they hadn't. It's the most inconsiderate service to leave early knowing a customer was coming without calling or offering the lock box service right outside. Terrible customer service. We will not be back. read more

Took forever to check in and even longer to check out and they tried to over charge me. I had an appointment and it took two hours just for an oil change. Next time I'll go to the places that do it with you in the car and take 15-20 minutes read more

Big shout out to Reliable Automotive for almost blowing up my engine after a routine oil change. Thank god popped open the hood to try and find the source of a leak that started right after I took it to you guys. Your Mechanic forgot to put the cap back on and yes I took pictures of their handiwork. My mom goes to you guys all the time, you guys have awesome reviews. But I will never be back because it's clear you can't even remember to do the most basic work properly. Also 10 dollars to rotate my tires?? Come on, Pep Boys does it free with every oil change! GET IT TOGETHER!!!!! read more

See all

They did a great job fixed my window in less then 2 hours. I shopped around and price was descent. I would bring my car back again.

Got me in immediately to fix my tire and we're very accommodating. After I made the mistake of getting the wrong size stud, they had the right one over in no time. Was a quick and easy trip! read more

A big huge thank you to Eric and the Reliable Automotive crew. As luck would have it my car started making a funky sound two days before I was to drive across the state of Idaho. Eric diagnosed my car, got the parts in and repaired it within a day! My power steering and belt tensioner were both about to go. Now my car is running like it's brand new and I had peace of mind taking my trip. Thank you! read more

gave me an estimate of over 6k. had work done ended up paying over 4k , had to take my car back 2 times and still not fixed correctly. this place is a joke. STAY AWAY! read more

Just bought a used car, after a few days of driving it; the check engine light comes on! My first thought is, "oh sh!t"but this place had great reviews, so I decided to bring my car over to them. No run around from these guys. Fixed what needed to be fixed and got me back on the road. Honest, straight up guys that don't have you feeling like you've been taken advantage of walking out. Pricing is very fair and I won't go to any other mechanic after my experience with these guys. Eric the owner, you're the man. Thanks for your help! read more

Wouldn't go anywhere else. I drove 5 hours just to come see Eric and the guys here to get a funny noise in my car looked at. Fixed the car quickly and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. Thank you so much! read more

They closed early after telling me they were open till 5 so when I came to get my car they had all left. So they lied straight to my face just so they could have me do my work there. Do not trust these people. read more

It took me awhile to find this team of honest and reliable mechanics but now that I've found them I won't go anywhere else. These guys go the extra mile in finding the problem, tell you what your options are and don't try to sell you what you don't need. Highly recommend Reliable Automotive read more

Reliable Automotive is in fact, reliable. They are also skilled and honest. Eric, the owner, replaced our brakes and calipers, AND changed our oil all in one morning. The brakes in our truck went out the day before we were planning to drive to Oregon for Thanksgiving. Eric got us in at 8am and out by 10am with new brakes, calipers, and the oil changed - and he charged us more than fairly! Amazing! Eric saved Thanksgiving! We will never take our vehicles anywhere else! 10/10 Highly recommend! read more
