Elvia was an amazing server and the drinks were great! We ordered pomertininis and pomeritas...so good! Definitely will be back!

Big Shout out to staff at Fireside Lounge inside The Peppermill. Lovely, relaxing environment to enjoy a cocktail, with comfy couches and romantic ambiance. Troy, late night bartender, is attentive, accommodating and friendly. One of the best in the business. Looking for a convenient spot to enjoy a cocktail and conversation? Why is there a lack of consistency for customers of color vs other customers? Von is rude and has lack of customer service. I asked for a drink and he says to me "I'll be with you because I'm just getting here". So I sat down waiting for him to get set up and he never can over to get my order, but he served 6 other walk in customers while I waited. The facility management team contacted me to discuss the details. After a synergy meeting and discussing the resolution to a better communication strategy we can to an agreement. Yes, I revisited Fireside Lounge the next day. The service and communication was extremely better. Peppermill Leadership Team, thanks for acknowledging my concerns and addressing the issue. I'll definitely will be returning to this venue. I went to the bar to a waitress that came in afterwards and asked if anyone comes to the table to take the orders and she said "Yes". I gave her my drink order and when she dropped off the drink she asked for us to pay directly. I understand that the practice, but I've watched min. 5 other customers not pay or present a credit card at the time the drinks were delivered. Just be consistent because ALL money is GREEN! read more

The Fireside Lounge is a friendly reminder of what the Peppermill Reno used to be. When you miss the neon and mirrors, navigate through the slots to the small door leading into the lounge. There is parking, but visitors should use ride hail or stay the night to enjoy the libations. I snuck in here on a Thursday night after driving up to Reno for a nice drink before heading to bed. The lounge was hopping for an off night. There was a nice seat next to the fire calling my name. I ordered a Scooby snack which was a sweet tropical drink which went down smooth and quick and was served with savory almonds. Next to me were two married women in a flirty and buzzed mood. Apparently I have nice eyeglasses and teeth! The other side was host to an other gentleman and his young and well dressed escort. I am sure they had a fun and expensive night. That is how we roll by the fire! This is old school Reno in such a good way. The drink was very expensive but worth it. The Peppermill has been upgraded all over to the modern Tuscan look which is nice, but it is great to escape back to the original and grab a drink by the fire. read more

Very chic and retro, if one could tune out some of the rude and obscene conversation between some patrons here. I was disappointed with our last visit here, when the bartender did not check some foul and obscene patrons at the bar. It is not the norm in Reno to encounter anything other than friendly, casual banter as everyone here seems to know everyone else. Reno is a small town, and locals pick their favorite places where staff and surroundings invite . The Peppermill is one such place, and the Fireside Bar is definitely on the top of the list for those locals... It is a pity the bartender does not manage the bar a little more carefully, so as all can enjoy it equally. Worse yet, one of the other bartenders, obviously off duty now, yet still with name badge, sitting at the bar gambling, with drink in hand, also said and did nothing. Neither did the other manager in a jacket, who was on duty, and who stood, just chatting. The distasteful conversation was among a group of 4 or 5 men, and involved detailed accounts of their exploits in Thailand, involving sexual misconduct, dotted with racial slurs. We found it extremely repugnant. My gentleman friend asked if I might prefer to leave, and we did. Very poor bar management. Shame on you! Will we be back? Doubtful. read more

A unique casino lounge on the first floor towards the front north end. Updated, yet reminiscent of the 70's with purple and pink neon lights and velour seating. It has a really cool signature water and fire pit at one end. In the afternoon the bar is full of retirees playing the slots. Around 8 pm the younger crowd fills the entire place up. At this bar they still serve a few old school cocktails like pink squirrels, grasshoppers and Brandy Alexander, all made with ice cream. As well as any martini you want. Closing time ? Not really sure, it there's partiers there they keep on going. read more

I absolutely love coming to the Fireside Lounge. It was remodeled not that long ago, and it looks great. The bartenders make great drinks. Vaughn and Joe know their drinks. It's my favorite place to play video poker. But a HUGE turnoff for me is when people smoke in there. It is not a very big bar, so when someone lights up, it stinks up the whole place. What is even more disgusting are the guys who light up cigars! I set up a small fan next to my machine to blow the smoke away. CIGARS SHOULD BE BANNED FROM THE FIRESIDE LOUNGE! Especially now that we have to wear masks again. All that smoke is stuck in my mask and it is gross. I seriously doubt you will lose business if you made the Fireside non smoking. read more

Fireside Lounge is a semi-hidden bar inside the Peppermill next to Cafe Milano. If you go during happy hour or peek hours it's sometimes difficult to find a seat at the bar, where they give you free appetizers and roasted/salted almonds. It's very dark inside, but cozy and dark in a good way. It's always fun to go with a large group of friends and sit in the circular booths by the fire pits that are located around the lounge. They specialize in large, fancy, sweet cocktails, but also offer pretty much anything you request. I have no complaints about the Fireside Lounge as everyone has always been extremely friendly and attentive. This lounge is a good pre-game or starter place before walking around the entire casino floor or heading out on the town. read more

I want to give this place 5 stars, but I am so sick of the cigar smoke in such small bar. It's disgusting! It literally makes no sense why the Peppermill would allow this. It is not healthy for any of the guests, or their amazing bartenders. You can even smell the smoke in the Milano Cafe as well. I have seen one cigar smoker clear out the video poker bar there. I complained about this years ago, and I received no explanation as to why this is ok. There are millions of other open air bars in the casino, and to allow cigars in the Fireside lounge is asinine. Every time this happens, I walk out and so does my money and generous tips to the bartenders. So, I will wait to hear why cigar smoking is allowed in the Fireside Lounge, until then, I'll head to the Atlantis! read more

Place is nice, so nice you would think the drinks would be ok at least. They weren't. The margaritas was the poorest I've ever seen one made. Didn't salt the rim, just chucked an old lime in and fingered my straw tip. The pamarita seemed to be made of rotten ingredients and the bartender forgot the jack in my jack and coke. High prices and severely poor service. I dont know how Troy is even a bartender. Not coming back. read more

Our family and friends decided to visit the lounge. Here for a wedding with 20 people is difficult. Although not everyone wanted to drink, our group was big. Cassie was our mixologist for visit. She made us feel welcome and was kind about the mask rules. We didn't get that at other places. Our family will be back here during our entire time because of her. read more

Thank you Troy, the late night Fireside Bar bartender! What a nice man. We were staying at the Peppermill and on the recommendation of our oldest son we went to the Fireside for a nightcap last night. Troy was bartending. I ordered a chocolate martini and my husband ordered a cucumber infused martini. Both the drinks were absolutely perfect and so delicious. What a cozy, almost hidden bar with a nice fireplace. If you play the slots at the bar, drinks are free. I highly recommend. read more

You absolutely cannot beat the ambiance of this Lounge. My wife and I love it here! The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the service has been lukewarm more than it's been good. We've never had a rude staff member or anything like that, but they never seem to be overly friendly, either. Aside from Beer, the only cocktail I've tried here is the Scooby-doo. I have no idea what's in it, I just know it actually tasted pretty good. My wife has tried numerous cocktails here and says she's never had a bad one. If you have a hot first date lined up or you and your spouse want to try something different, Fireside, located inside the Peppermill, is the place to go! read more

Located inside the Peppermill Casino! It's kind of hidden there's a door to enter to the lounge or you can enter through the Cafe. The atmosphere makes you feel like you aren't at a casino anymore. The drinks are tasty and strong! I ordered the Pomorita. Theres a specialty cocktail menu, but if nothing you like it's a full bar too. There's lots of seating area that are lounge style and bar seating too with video slot machines. The server was very friendly. She was quick with our order. There's seating near a fire pit with tvs that play old school music videos. It is a Pretty chill and cool spot to grab a drink to take a break from gambling or dinner. read more

I hesitate to review this bar because I wish it to remain a hidden gem. This is my favorite bar ever. When I'm in Reno, I'm there. Old school. Bastion of calm tucked away in a bustling casino. Great music, better drinks, and a staff that consistently aims to please. Every time I go, I am offered a complimentary freshly cooked appetizer like French fries or chicken wings delivered by the chef who cooked them. You can feel the history in this place. Nothing like it anyplace else. Peppermill's best kept secret. read more

Cool bar and atmosphere. Terrible service. Waited 20 minutes and no one took our order.

Cozy, local, just so wonderful and comforting if you want to gamble low-key and feel the LOCAL VIBE :)

Nah dont waste your time nor money here. The only good thing about this place is its decor and everything else is overpriced or not there. They only sale drinks but you can order food from the bistro nearby and bring it in which i would not recommend either as i order a cubano burger and got some kind of soggy mess as my order. Also their main cocktail($26) is not worth the money as it tastes bad. read more

This little bar within peppermill is prime real estate if you're still awake with all the other night owls. Cozy up to the bar and make sure troy is working. He's friendly enough to ask where you're from and tell you about the week's upcoming specials, even when every seat is full (at 2 a.m.). $1 food specials are killer. Space... The Final Frontier... These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise... The Fireside Lounge is nothing short of a Holodeck experience aboard the Enterprise because you frankly won't believe your eyes. Missing only the trademark "whoosh" of the pneumatic doors aboard the Enterprise, Fireside brings together the colorful crowd and atmosphere of the crew lounge 10-Forward and one of the many lush, tropical, and fiery planets the crew visited in one of their more then 178 episodes. Between the mirrors, glowing lights, fake trees, red velveteen seating and recessed round fire pits filled with water spewing flames of intense magnitudes from an eery blue ring at the center, the place can only be described as other worldly, or a picture perfect view of where George and Jane Jetson might have relaxed. But all the funniness aside, with the right crew this place is a blast. There's no cover, they have a pretty solid drink menu, they serve bar snacks and food all night long, and you won't be able to stop talking about the decor and atmosphere. I hear Friday late nights it's $1 nachos! So while Sir Richard Branson wants to charge people millions to take off to far off galaxies, everyone who's in Reno knows this secret now... Just hop in your car and cruise over to the Fireside Lounge for a night of other worldly entertainment! Humans, Aliens, and all species welcome! read more

So if you ever wondered what it felt like takin it back to the 70's this is the place to be. This is a cool place to come chill have so drinks listen to some old 70's & 80's music videos blaring and just chill by the fire. The Peppermill is my favorite place to stay at in Reno and this is a must every time. They have awesome free hour doves during happy hour. Shrimp cocktails, wontons, etc. Usually if you stay there you get a buy one drink get one free coupon so don't waste it. The ambience is dope, they actually had the same Peppermill here in Sacramento back in the day same decor and all but is now a Elephant Bar. Old school couches, fire pit, neon lights everywhere, dark, chill vibe. Gotta see it to fully grasp how cool it is. It's really tucked away in the casino, almost hidden but it's defiantly worth finding! They have all your basic well drinks but a wide variety of tropical cool drinks to choose from. This has to be the best lounge in Reno overall. read more

During a recent stay at Peppermill, hubby and I were drawn to this place for a drink, thanks to a 2-for-1 coupon in our hotel guest packet. Thankfully, we had the handy little map with us that was also in our key packet, or we probably would not have ever managed to find it. Talk about a hidden gem! We arrived just as happy hour was starting. There were a couple people sitting at the bar but otherwise the place was empty. I really wanted to sit right by the fire, but it was H-O-T, so we opted for another spot with a good view of the dancing flames but removed from the heat a bit. We were greeted right away by a friendly cocktail waitress who let us know about happy hour specials - complimentary appetizers (buffalo chicken sandwiches and shrimp cocktail the day we were there) and half-off pricing on their two signature 60oz drinks. After browsing the menu, hubby decided to jump into staycation mode with a mudslide, and I was left still stumped about what to order. Being a rare drinker, I'm not terribly versed on cocktails so typically order straight off a bar's signature menu. I was intrigued by the Inferno, one of the lounges two 60oz drinks but that size of drink just wasn't happening for me. Luckily for me, when I asked about the chances of being able to order a regular cocktail size of that drink, the waitress said she was quite sure that would be doable, and the bartender cheerfully declared "absolutely!" As our drinks were being made, we were brought a small plate with two servings each of the complimentary appetizers. I didn't personally sample either of the items, but my husband said they were pretty good. We only stayed for one drink each, but definitely enjoyed the hour or so we were there. The atmosphere is great. The low lighting made for a nice, intimate setting, while the many screens playing music videos helped bring out the fun. Even as others started to arrive, it was easy to feel like we were the only ones there. Thanks to that 2-for-1 coupon in our hotel packet, two great drinks cost us just $11 +tip. read more

Solid drinks. This is the nicest smoking lounge we found in Reno. The drinks were well made and they give complimentary nuts. The waitress was very friendly but it was a little slow. We didn't mind too much since we were there to enjoy the ambience. I had the moccatini and the bf had a White Russian. Both were strong, not too sweet, and very good! read more

Tucked away right next to the Coffee Shop, the Fireside Lounge is small, intimate, and the coolness factor is very high. The name comes from the one pool of water with a flame coming up right from the center. There are plush red couches all around, and you can eat and drink in comfort. The lounge has a whole bunch of huge, full sized trees with white leaves sprouting up all over the place.. very cool. Even the chairs at the bar are super soft. One note: poolside is really only conducive to couples, maybe a group of 4, not so much for groups. There are also plenty of other couches around for crowds. There is a decent drink menu, and the the happy hour specials sound pretty good for a Reno casino. Two drinks of note: inferno and scorpion. Both are huge, colorful, come with fruit and gummy worms AND you get to take home the glass. Verdict: Definitely stop by the Fireside Lounge. read more

The fireside has been about cheesy spectcacle and ac ozy place to snuggle and smooch for four decades! As a young man, I used to enjoy the happy hour, with cheap delicious nibbles and the low couches and low cut servers' gowns. Teleport to 2009, not much has changed and that's a good thing. I took a fabled buxom cocktail waitress out for dinner in the early 1980's and became a folk hero to all my buddies. Warning, call drinks and specialty drinks can be a touch pricy. read more

Not much to say other than this is a very cool place to hang out in with your significant other. Mood Lighting in this place sets a very romantic/sensual tone and if you're lucky enough to grab a seat around the fire pit, you and your spouse will have no choice but to sit snuggly next to each other (which is never a bad thing). All the flat screens that surround the pit and booths play the music video to whichever song is playing at the time which is cool. Sitting around the fire can get a bit hot, so if you want to cool down grabbing a booth would be your next best option. My only gripe about Fireside is the prices for drinks are pretty high. However, that is to be expected at a hotel/casino. Try the Scooby-Doo, it's not bad. The waitresses are usually dressed in sexy (not slutty) black gowns and are 9 times out of 10 attractive. So if you dont have a wife/girlfriend and that's important to you, this is the place to be. However, most of the people in here are couples, so if you want to chase tail, try the nightclub. read more

Fireside Lounge - My wife and I hanging out in Fireside! - Bars Near Me - Reno, Nevada

The Fireside Lounge is a good place for a chill drink, though the vibe around the fire can escalate quickly. House Specialty Cocktials run on the sweet side, but you can order pretty much whatever you'd like and the bartenders would do their best to make your creation a reality. Decent happy hour, but to take advantage of the chill vibe, I'd avoid Fris and Sats! read more

The fireside lounge is wonderful! The interior is very dark, with gorgeous blue fire pits surrounded by water & little televisions to watch music videos and life performances. The service is excellent, the table games are fun to play while you get top shelf comped drinks! The bar tending staff are very friendly and attentive. I've come to love this bar every time I come back to Reno! They have various TV's to watch music video and life performances whenever you may be seated in the bar! They have an array of cocktails & each one tastes spectacular. During the weekends the bartender will give everyone a $1 meal such as nachos, or some other appetizer around midnight. The bar is a little obscure, it's hidden in between the non smoking area near the pub and right behind Cafe Milano. My only issue is that I wished they served snacks or appetizers like the Pub does! When you stay at the Peppermill you also get a 1 for 1 cocktail coupon at this lounge, it's worth it! read more

I went to the Fireside Lounge several times and I like it. Lots of seating area, small circular booths, and you can sit by the fire (my favorite!) and its very nice. They play music videos around that fire area and the volume is not that loud so you can still talk. They had a full bar and the waitress usually checks on us to see if we need more drinks, etc..Service was very good. Prices is decent, similar to the other bars. Its a nice place to hangout if you'd like to stay away from the casino noise. Definitely recommended. Oh, Adios cocktail was amazing !!! read more

If you want a great place to hang out, get a nicely poured cocktail and a good atmosphere - this is it. It's like taking a step back going into the fireside - it hasn't changed much over the years, save adding the TVs but it's a groovy little place to hang out. The only downside is that smoking is allowed here and it is a very small closed in location so it can get a little overwhelming. I don't remember it always allowing smoking but the past night were were here, it was intense. read more
