Cci Fireplace Limited - A HUGE improvement thanks to Mike of CCI, Ltd. WOW!

Cci Fireplace Limited

This review is for the AWESOME Mike of CCI Fireplace LTD but I have to give a little backstory on…read morehow Wertz is kind of the worst. Read through my reviews, I don't post many salty ones but this one does have a happy ending! We got taken by Wertz. Should have tried for a couple estimates, but we wanted our gas fireplace to burn brighter, higher, & better. Asked Wertz of Rehoboth for a tune up. Was told the glass seal was busted, needed new glass, & before we knew it we're waiting for 4 weeks and paying $800 dollars and still not so great fire. Wertz said the fireplace was a cheap builder grade and if we wanted better we'd have to spend $5K for a new fireplace. I was like no thank you and I adjusted my expectations - maybe the fire wasn't that bad after all. It's OK, the fire comes on with the flick of a switch and after about 45min it does look a little better. At least we have new glass. But Dad said never settle. Trust Dad. Also, trust Mike of CCI Fireplace, LTD. and don't call WERTZ & Co. Because though we got new glass I think we got taken for an expensive ride by the Wertz guys. Womp womp. See the BEFORE picture which is what it looked like after the new glass and not much fire of the Wertz job -- the AFTER was after spending only $165 more with CCI Fireplace LTD. He said it was all messed up. That it was an easy fix and the gas logs were covering up important gas vents & holes and it was messy inside. I'm guessing this is something Wertz (or anyone experienced) should have seen right away. Mike also said it was a good fireplace and we really didn't need a new one. I like Mike. I'm happy now. TLDR: Wertz isn't the worst but they're certainly not the best. And they're expensive and I think a little incompetent. Mike at CCI, Ltd is the BEST! Get estimates & call Mike at CCI. Listen to Dad. Never settle.

Mike is usually very punctual and gets the job done. However, after some work on our gas fireplace…read morethat involved removing the gas feed at the valve last winter we seemed to notice a slight gas smell but thought it was residual from the work done. This is a second home so the next time we came down and opened the door you could really smell the gas leak! I bought a gas detector at Home Depot and found the gas coupling at the feed valve was leaking. This was on a weekend but I needed to get this fixed for my family's sake. I gently tightened the coupling the rest of the way after finding it loose by about a 1/4 turn. Retested and the leak was gone. Dunno perhaps they were in a rush to get to another job but darn - that was kinda dangerous.

Perfectly professional, knowledgeable people in every detail from sales to installation to follow up, along with recommendations for every aspect of the project. Oh, did I mention how clean they managed to keep things ...with an absolutely totally dirty job ahead of them. My living room now has a beautiful pellet stove in my fireplace and they even managed to make it look better than it was before they started. If I hadn't seen it done... I could not have imagined how they did what they did in so little time and the damn thing weighed 550 LBS. But they had an awesome team that made the impossible look easy. So in closing when you see their web page and have ANY need in their area....do yourself a favor...and use these people... They get it done on time...under budget... and satisfaction is assured due to the attention to detail...and their absolute adherence to your requirements!!!!! Guess that about covers it. That Fireplace Store The only place to use as far as I am concerned!!!!!!!! Happy owner of an Enviro M55 The M55 Cast Iron Pellet Fireplace Insert

Our project grew bigger as time progressed because I trusted them and we ended up adding a new roof and roof design too. Keith was honest in saying the work wouldn't start for months but living in the "slower, lower" peninsula here, it was not unexpected. The project did take a little longer to complete than we expected, but we had 2 project managers leave Clarksville during our project. However, Keith and Andrew Heath stepped up their game to fill in. Their field technicians like Keith Lockerman and Donnie, were a pleasure to work with and their experience led to some ideas we hadn't considered when particulars to the project came up. Clarksville also chose some good subcontractors! The man who put on our new metal roof was a skilled craftsman. We get many compliments on it from the neighbors. And the man who did our framing was very organized, one could tell he took great care in his work. We feel our project was money well spent. Thanks!

She listened attentively, gave suggestions , took measurements and told me, "give me a week." A week went by, then two with two attempts to see where we stood with our project. Sad to say, no correspondence of any kind. They look like they do good work but I guess my project wasn't worth their efforts, touching base to let me know would have been nice. David W.
