After a thorough and exhaustive search reviewing many cabinet companies in Southern Delaware, we…read morediscovered Home & Office Cabinetry in Greenwood, owned and operated by Mike Biggs. Mike is extremely knowledgeable on kitchen and bath design, customized (built-in) cabinets, top quality granite, quartz, and stainless steel counter-tops, back-splashes, architectural lighting and hardware choices (cabinet knobs and hinges), including installing matching cabinetry door panels on professional appliances (i.e., Sub-Zero refrigerators, freezers, Miele dishwashers and True under-counter refrigerator). Mike can design and make cabinets from scratch in his shop using a variety of wood species, as well order top quality customized cabinets from various high-end suppliers too. With available options and materials for kitchen and bath cabinetry being virtually limitless, the experience of redesigning a kitchen project can be easily overwhelming for most. So having a professional with Mike's experience, patience and creative ideas was very helpful for us. He listened to our needs, worked diligently to provide us the best available within our budget, worked with us throughout the entire project from start to end, from initial design through final design and installation. While he could easily complete any job solely by himself, he was greatly helpful in helping me in a DIY project too, and instrumental in recommending highly competent independent carpenters, plumbers and electricians specific for our project needs. We were so impressed with Mike's help with our kitchen, that we used him again for a second project to install a kitchenette and full bath on a second story of detached garage. Mike's recommendations for installing black knotty alder wood cabinets was amazing and perfect for the rustic décor we wanted to achieve. Everyone loves them! You cannot find anyone more honest, trustworthy, experienced and nice to work with on your kitchen, bath and office cabinetry needs.

I DO NOT recommend doing business with this company. I just spent a year trying to get a small…read morekitchen completed. Everything they did was substandard. The design was wrong -- measurements were off. The installation was wrong and never corrected. They ordered the wrong cabinets and I had to wait for new cabinets to come in while others sat in my kitchen floor for almost a year. There was a lot of turnover -- my designer was either fired or quit before the job started. No one bothered to tell me that. No one stepped up to oversee and really monitor the job. I had to continually stay after them to make progress. At one point, I had to actually dispute the credit card payment I made to them to get them to even respond. They tried to blame poor work on subs (which they subcontracted) and on material delays -- which were worsened by the fact they ordered incorrectly to begin with. The only thing I can say they were on top of was charging my credit card the minute they could. I cannot recommend doing business with this company. If you feel compelled, do NOT sign their standard contract or agree to their standard contract terms. Make sure you withhold a meaningful amount of money until they have completed a substantial amount of the installation. Their current terms reflect about 90% of the entire payment the day the materials arrive. Once you make that payment, you have 0 leverage to get them to complete the work and insure some degree of professional workmanship. Others may have had a good experience with the company. It's possible that my job was the one that got away. But the measure of a company's integrity is not whether they ever have a mistake or an issue BUT how they deal with it when they do. I give them 0 stars for accountability and integrity.

We hired this company to replace our electrical panel and paid a deposit upfront. From the…read morebeginning, scheduling was a struggle. Communication was very poor--Luis, the person handling appointments, rarely returned calls, and we had to repeatedly follow up just to get basic updates. They even canceled on the same day they were supposed to come, which caused delays and a lot of inconvenience. Because of this, we decided to cancel the project altogether. During an earlier visit, their technician Ben tightened two outlet screws and replaced a GFCI outlet using our own materials. Before he did the work, I specifically asked about the cost and was told it would be free. After we canceled the project, we were unexpectedly charged $350 for that small task--without any approval from us. When I called to question the charge, Luis laughed and said "this is how it goes," which was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. Overall, very disappointing experience. Poor communication, unreliable scheduling, and unexpected charges without consent. I would not recommend this company.
