    Turkey Bacon Ranch
    Emeri H.

Love me some firehouse. This location was good, nice and clean. The workers were pretty fast and efficient. Good experience. I love the turkey bacon ranch. Plenty of meat! Which is kind of on the rare side of sandwich restaurants these days.

Came towards closing time and they were keeping it all clean. Nice!

Staff was super friendly and even made suggestions. I feel like the staff sometimes has the inside info. Like yo, stay away from the meatballs. Who would I be to argue? Place was clean everywhere. I came towards the end of the night and they were cleaning up. Helps them close and go home faster, but makes my dining experience better. Ordered 2 sandwiches. Brisket Beef and Cheddar. Fabulous. The sweet BBQ sauce hit the spot. The wheat bread is always so soft. Somehow they know how to toast it and it's still soft. Why can't the subs place know how to do that? Apparently they know wizardry here. Hook & Ladder Turkey. Was super moist for turkey and very flavorful. Nothing was left. It was all consumed. I have not had a bad meal here. The food is always spot on and made very quickly. I have had differences in service, but tonight was great. Thanks Firehouse!! Glad you are local and close to me.

My sandwich was fantastic and service was friendly. No complaints! I've been here a couple times since I live close by, and haven't ever had a bad experience.

I'm a vegetarian. I got a Veggie sandwich, which is supposed to be sauteed bell peppers, sauteed mushrooms, sauteed and raw onions, lettuce, tomato, mayo, deli mustard, Italian dressing, provolone, cheddar, and Monterey Jack. All of the ingredients were fine, except for the single piece of bacon that was included for some reason. Luckily, I saw it before I bit into the sandwich. It could be an honest mistake, I suppose. But, one piece of bacon inside of a "Veggie" sandwich makes me think otherwise. I would give zero stars, but that's not an option. Josh K.

We have been in search of some good sandwiches, we have tried other places and Firehouse was next on the list. My oh my, how wonderfully surprised my taste buds were! When you walk in your met with their nice selection of meats and subs with 3 sizes to choose from, for those wanting a healthier snack size! There is a little turnstile with their add ons to create to your taste...Loved their food, mmmmmmm I had the tuna veggie on wheat and the wife had the corn beef pastrami! One more thing, they give back to our community! I decided today to give this firehouse subs another try. I went for lunch today around noon (Saturday). I expected this place to be packed. There was maybe 2-3 tables occupied when I walked in. The cashier greeted me with a warm "welcome to firehouse!" I placed my order: Medium hook and ladder on white with no lettuce: The sandwich came out quick and hot. The sandwich was completely covered in mayo and mustard (overtook the flavor of the rest of the sandwich). They skimped a bit on the meat and cheese. It was $1.50 Extra for a small bag of chips. This sub is great when dipped in the house made bbq sauce (see pic). Medium turkey bacon ranch on white with no lettuce: This sub had great flavor! Although, the ranch sauce was a little odd when it was mixed with the mayonnaise. They also skimped on the meat and cheese for this sub. It was $1.50 extra for a small bag of chips. Overall this was still a 3 star experience again. A bit on the spendy side but worth a solid sandwich if you're in the area. I will be back due to the convenience of this location (close to home). Tried this new sub shop in Sandy on a whim! None of our party of four had been in yet, so we thought we'd belly up and try a Firehouse sub. We were all very pleased we did! This is a well-thought-out theme for a sub shop. Very well put together in keeping with the firehouse motif, they have dalmation spotted tables, and hot sauce they sell in the shape of a fire hydrant. So cute! Speaking of hot sauce - it's a true passion of mine - I had to check out their hot sauce "bar" - it's not really a bar, more like an area. But it's impressive, and I'm sorry I didn't snap a separate photo of it to include. They have at least 36-45 different hot sauce choices, from fruity blends to Dave's Insanity and the like. Their own firehouse hot sauce is more like a spicy BBQ, but still very good. We ordered the Hook & Ladder, the Steak and Cheese, a turkey-swiss combo, and the NY Steamer (brisket/pastrami combo). The only semi-disappointment was the Steak and Cheese. And for no other reason than the grilled onions and peppers depicted on the sign were barely detectable. But all were delicious, nonetheless. I particularly enjoyed my Hook & Ladder; smoked turkey, honey ham, and melted jack, served hot and "Fully Involved." Really nice compatible flavors going on there. So tasty! AND - drum roll - they offer white or wheat bread options. C'mon...that's awesome. At Firehouse, the term fully involved is worthy of a small tee-hee, and means "with everything." Most subs, hot or cold, come loaded with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a dill pickle spear on the side. None of us actually received the pickle spear, but then again, none of us like dill pickles, so we weren't disappointed. They have a great selection of subs in 8" or 12" sizes, and we had a hard time deciding with which to pop our Firehouse cherries. Hubby now wants to go back to try something other than the Steak and Cheese; and I don't blame him. The rest were better. Although there are no hot firemen working here as I had hoped (was that out loud?), we'll be back soon for another dip in the Firehouse pool. Ahhhhh, refreshing.

Simply delectable. Our entrees were short rib ravioli and chicken mushroom ravioli. The short rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a pinot noir sauce inside and out. Chicken mushroom ravioli was accompanied by a fresh and tastebud-satisfying basil pesto. All raviolis were made at order and generously filled. Pasta was a bit more al dente for the chicken from its shorter cooking time, but make mistake that both were perfect. Throughout our time, Susy came out and visited with us during different cooking stages. She shared stories about the rice she uses for her arancini (not arborio) to make it more authentic to its Sicilian roots, how tomatoes make the difference, and how she's adapted her recipes to maintain flavor in the more arid Salt Lake valley. You really feel invested in what you're about to enjoy when you learn how she works hard at all the details. It's safe to say that you'll likely be full when leaving, but none of it will feel heavy. You'll feel full of Susy's love for Sicilian and southern Italian food. We cannot recommend Susy's enough and are already making plans for when we'll be back to try another sure-to-be-fantastic meal.

I'll start with the food, my nuggets were dry, cold, old and hard as a rock! Could easily chip a tooth. My husbands sandwich was the same. The flavor was good but the chicken breast was about 2 inches thick which apparently makes it hard to cook making the outside really hard. So they should probably use smaller pieces of chicken so it can cook evenly plus it's pretty hard to eat when it's that huge. My husband just didn't eat it actually. I will say the fries were really good. We also ordered the extras for his sandwich "on the side" this was obviously sitting there for several hours because the pickles had turned purple next to the cabbage for so long. So that's how the food itself was. Experience: also not great. You walk in a nobody greets you at all- you are supposed to order on a kiosk thing which was not user friendly at all. We had to start our order over because it would save and it asks you about sauce multiple times and then doesn't seem to save what you picked. Visually: restaurant was dirty and nowhere to sit because all of the tables were dirty. We sat at the table with least amount of crumbs. Price: pretty high for what you are getting. 2 meals and drinks were $30.00- the machine asks for a tip. I did not tip considering I had to be an employee of the restaurant for 10 minutes while I struggled with the ordering machine. I also ordered a side of ranch which turned out to be horse radish sauce so maybe they could think about labeling their sauces so they know what's going on. Employees: there was a very nice girl that swapped my nuggets for me and said goodbye. There were only 3 employees in the entire place on a Saturday night, probably why they had no times to go wipe tables down although eventually the lady did do it. She said the line cook was supposed to throw away those old nuggets and he grabbed the wrong ones. I personally will not be returning but I hope my review can help them make some changes so that their business can survive. My overall experience was not a good impression on any level.

I'm in visiting from out of town and a friend mentioned two restaurants, one a pizza joint, the other a cheesesteak place...obviously I went with the cheesesteak place! I'm picky, especially when it comes to cheesesteak sandwiches...so I had elevated expectations with the place coming so highly recommended. Stepping inside, I was already pretty sure this was going to hit some high marks...it smelled good...it wasn't a "hole in the wall", but it had that vibe aside from being clean. Staff was nice, I explained I was a first timer and they walked me through the popular items, but I already knew I was going cheesesteak with everything on it. It was late and I didn't want to engorge myself so I went with the 6" instead of the 12" and got the fries with it. OK...they know what they're doing here...it came out wrapped in brown paper with sandwich paper (is there even such a thing...there is now) and it was steaming hot. I pulled back the paper exposing this beast of a sandwich...12" would have been too much (at least that's what she said. The cheese was melted throughout the steak...oh my God, this is the only way these should be made. The meat was lean, no grizzle or bad spots, they trim it perfectly for flavor and texture. Mushrooms, onions, peppers...and awesome bread, it was perfect and the first taste confirmed my beliefs! This IS the perfect cheesesteak sandwich and I'm not in Philly...how? One disappointment...the fries are coated...I'm not a fan of coated fries and almost never eat them. I usually ask, and pass if they are, but forgot to this time. I wasn't going to waste them...surprise, they were pretty damn good. I'll give them. 7.5 out of 10 and that's a solid score. So how do I score the Philly cheesesteak...9.9999 because does a true 10 exist outside of Bo Derek, well, maybe Phoebe Cates...Fast Times at Ridgemont High changed my life! So, don't kid yourself, you won't find a better cheesesteak...better get your butt over there and confirm what I already know! I will be back next time I'm in town! Sorry about not having the picture!
