I've been here a lot recently as it's one of the only things my husband has wanted during a long illness. The service here is great. There's a sign on the door to preemptively inform customers of food shortages, and when I ordered they also warned me it may be a long wait. The subs are ... okay. They have a lot of hot sandwiches, which I like, but it seems like most of the options are kinda weird. I pretty much always get the cheesesteak, and it would be really good if it didn't come with mustard! (I've started asking them to hold the mustard, but I still question why it's there in the first place.) I do enjoy the special Thanksgiving turkey sandwich, but of all the versions of that sandwich I have tried, Firehouse's is sadly the least flavorful. read more

I ordered delivery. The food is always good. However FS uses Uber for delivery. The driver delivered to an address a block away (house number wasn't even close) I tried calling the driver and my number was blocked! I had to run over to fetch my order. What really pisses me off is I included a tip and couldn't retrieve it. Because my phone number isn't associated with the account (firehouse subs) no contact. It takes a lot for me to ever leave a negative review, but this is an EXCEPTIONAL circumstance. This is the worst experience I've ever had purchasing food. I purchased 3 medium subs online. I applied some of the rewards points I had to receive one of the three subs for free. I was still charged for the sub and the rewards points were used. I called the store to either get the points applied back to my account or get the money for the sub credited back to my card... they couldn't help. They told me I needed to use online support. I spent 10 minutes using online support and they pointed me back to the store. At this point I figured "okay I will just go in and talk to them about it". Not angry yet by any means, even though it's already ridiculous. When I got to the store I was greeted by 2 rude young girls (the blue haired one turned out to be the manager). Although my order was supposed to be prepared 10 minutes prior, it had not been started on. I explained the situation to this rude manager and asked if she could just void the original order and start a new one since they hadn't started on my food. She told me that my food had been stolen and that's why they hadn't started on it (a probable lie). Then she couldn't figure out how to do it, even though that seems like one of the first things you should learn. She had to call someone as I stood there for 10 more minutes while she tried to figure out how to cancel the order. Finally she told me the order was cancelled, they made my food as I waited another ten minutes, and I was on my way. Now, a week and a half later, I look at my credit card transaction history and sure enough I have been double charged $33. I will be issuing a charge back with the bank and never going back. You shouldn't go either unless they re-staff. read more

Such a nice step up from Subway. The sandwiches here offer more options and are more varied, and the add-ons (such as chicken and dumplings) mean that you can get a good meal here instead of just a sandwich. The club was full, yummy and choked with meats, cheeses and veggies. I asked for a side of additional oil and vinegar because I like my sandwich juiced. The size and quality of the sandwich here is worth the price. The staff greeted me when I entered and thanked me when I left. Attitude was pleasant and they were helpful with selecting a sandwich and getting me additional ingredients. I would recommend the staff get out to clean the tables more often, as the three near me had crumbs all over sitting there while duration of my visit and there was food and wrappers on the floor. read more

The man at the register ended up bringing me out a Hook & Ladder Salad with Italian dressing. There were tomatoes still on it with no banana peppers. He also brought out an extra Italian sandwich, which I did not order, but still charged my boyfriend for. Everything was far from what I ordered. I have tried to order from this location around 10 times. I really like the food but the customer service really stinks. They've gotten my order right about 2 out of 10 times. After today's visit I'm not sure I can continue to patronize this business. I ordered through the app so there wouldn't be any confusion. I selected "less bread" and even put "No bread" in the special instructions just to be sure that whomever processed my order would see it. I also added "don't forget pickle" even though side pickle was selected because 95 of the time, they forget to add the pickle. So my husband went to pick up the order and it was wrong. My sandwich had bread. They forgot the pickles. They didn't include the chips that were requested. They also forgot the chili. And when my husband asked them to correct the issue, the firehouse employee chastised my husband and said that's not what "less bread" means and it became this big diatribe/lesson on how the food was ordered wrong, when I've ordered it this way before and got what I asked for, the meat with no bread. You can clearly see on the receipt, it says no bread on my special instructions. And even though the chili, pickles, and chips are on there, they forgot those too. Any way, after being chastised about the bread issue and holding up other customers, my husband was finally able to collect the rest of the items missing from our order and deliver lunch, which was now cold. My chili was also mostly water with a few beans and a couple of kernels of hamburger in it. And... my Large Pizza breadless sandwich was still on bread. They didn't rectify it. The food is great when it's correct (which is hardly ever) but the customer service is infuriating and this will probably be the last time I ever eat at Firehouse again. read more

What in tarnation....did I go on an off day? I'm attempting to write this as I choke this sandwich down because I don't like to waste food. We tried the Firehouse Steak and Cheese as well as the Smokehouse Brisket and just...wow. Maybe I'm biased because there are sooo many good and local sandwich places in the valley but these are absolutely the worst sandwiches I've personally had in a longgg time. The good thing I guess is that the sandwiches are packaged really well. They don't get smushed and they're not wrapped up and taped to get soggy with moisture, but honestly the bread could have used some moisture. Ya the DRY STALE SPONGE BREAD! You're a sandwich place! Bread should literally be #1! Their bread is like store bought buns that got a little stale so you dunked them in water and microwaved them for 10 seconds. Absolutely awful. I'm shocked lmao Steak and cheese had decent flavor even though there's a minuscule amount of it, but there's an overwhelming amount of what I assume is mayonnaise. This sandwich needs some type of spicy sauce or banana peppers or something. It's really lacking. Thanks for the pickle spear I guess, though. Smokehouse brisket should just be called edible smoke flavor. That's all. When I lived closer to this location, I visited pretty frequently. I vividly remember my first time. It was after I got back from a road trip to my hometown (a 9.5 hour drive), and I was starving. I don't love to take risks when I'm starving, but I'm glad I took a risk on Firehouse. I've always gotten the good old Hook & Ladder on wheat. I did get the lighter version once, and that was OK too, but I'd rather just have half of the original if I'm watching portions. The bread is great. The generous amount of meat is steamed. The condiments are perfect. The receipt always has a survey that lets you bring it back for a free soda on their Freestyle machine, which is always fun. Service has always been great at this location, with a "Welcome to Firehouse!" when you walk in. It's pretty clean and consistently good. Not to mention they have a rewards system now, and you can order online and pick it up. I am a woman of savings and convenience, so this gives Firehouse a big leg up. Steaming meat. That's what I think of now when I think of Firehouse. Steaming meat. Moist. Juicy. Sweaty. That's the approach they take with their sandwiches. Every bit of meat goes into a shiny little compartment. I'm not sure if it's steam or just hot water or what, but when the pack of meat comes out of there it's sweating. They slap it down on your bread, top it, slice it, and you're on your way. Besides the wetness of the meat, you'll also notice the quantity. I had the Hook & Ladder, and there was a lot of meat loaded onto that thing. It's sliced thin and stacked on there. Ham and Turkey with a little Monterey Jack. It all oozed together and although I ordered a large, I shared it so I can't say if a large would have filled me up. I'm what they call a big eater, though, so YMMV. I say sweaty, steaming meat like it's a bad thing. It's not, per se, but if that's not your style and you prefer a little more deli style meat layered on then this isn't your shop. I could probably do a whole one, but after that the oozing and sweating would play mind games and I'd probably be done with the texture. They're super friendly. It's fireman themed (well of course it is) and the incessant "Welcome to the Firehouse" shouted by EVERYONE behind the counter whenever ANYONE walked in was a bit much, but I can appreciate the thought. For the price I think the portions are a little small, my sandwich today for example easily had 10x more lettuce on it then meat and cheese, but it tasted good. The meatball sandwich is a favorite, with a good sauce and juicy meatballs. The staff is friendly, maybe a little too friendly, anytime a customer comes in everyone on the team automatically says, "Hello!" But too much cheer never killed anyone right...? Food is great. However, while we waited for our food we witnessed the manager being highly unprofessional to one of the employees on the sub bar about his time off. He could have easily taken the kid aside and had the conversation away from the public. Instead he humiliated his employee loudly in front of the lunch rush. We are big fans of this place in our house. I've visited multiple Firehouse Subs locations in the last year, and I love how consistent they are from location to location. Even in Las Vegas, the subs are always very much the same. Tonight we had the Hook and Ladder, The Engineer and a turkey kids meal. Everyone was pleased, as usual! We also are pretty much in love with that sauce they have... I'm not sure what it's called, but it's like a spicy ketchup that compliments the deli sub very well. The service at this particular location was great! Ceanna was who rung me up, and she was very polite and thorough. The extra touch of the fire hat with the kids menu makes this fun for kids, too. My son still has it on. We took our food home tonight, but the cafe was very clean and pleasant. The ONLY complaint I have is how the takeout food is packaged. They use a paper bag on it's side, so it is limp and you have to hold it closed. I appreciate them trying to prevent all of the sandwich toppings from sliding off, but it's so inconvenient to carry out and load it into the car. If I had my toddler with me, it would have been nearly impossible without help. I feel like the food would stay hot longer if this was done differently. We will definitely be back! read more

At the Midvale, UT location. Wasn't thrilled by the service, honestly felt like I was an inconvenience. I was the only person ordering and it took 2 guys almost 10 minutes to make 2 sandwiches.
