We are fans of Firehouse Subs and have eaten at this location several times- leaving completely satisfied. Tonight, however, was disappointing. We ordered 3 sandwiches through the app for take out. They were not busy when we arrived, and they still forgot one of our 3 sandwiches. This place was really good. They had a lot of sandwiches to choose from and the fire department theme is cool. I had the BBQ beef brisket and cheddar and it was AWESOME. I'm salivating just thinking about it. The boyfriend had the Italian sandwich and he really liked it. We will definitely be going back. Pricing is about what you pay at any of the nicer fast food establishments. I think a sandwich, chips, and a drink will run you about ten bucks. My husband and I have loved everything we've had there. Not your typical cold cut sandwiches. Most are served hot on a soft roll. They have things like corned beef and mushrooms- things you don't find at Subway. The price is a bit much for our whole family to eat there, but the taste keeps us coming back when we can. read more

Very average. I could have spent my $30 much better. We called in for takeout. Purchased 2 Firehouse subs and a Firehouse salad. The subs were average. The tomatoes were soggy and there were minimal onions when we ordered extra. The salad was below average. It had few pieces of meat in it. Don't expect strips of meat and cheese. My first visit to Firehouse Subs today. As someone trying to lose weight I love that the have an under 500 calorie menu! I got the Captain Sorensen's grilled chicken. It was actually bigger than I thought it would be. The chicken was tender and moist. (Sorry to use the "m" word). And the pepper sauce was flavorful. However, between the pepper sauce and the mayo the chicken slid all over the sandwich! It was messy to eat and was one of those sandwiches that, because of it being so messy you don't want to put it down. Not always a bad thing but when you've gotten the sandwich to go and you're trying to work and eat... Well let's just say I didn't get any work done for a few minutes. I love that they have the Coke machine that has all the different options and flavorings. Also there probably isn't a hot sauce they don't have on the counter! I'm a big fan of Firehouse, and this location is now the closest one to my current living situation so.... have all my money. I think steaming the meat for the sandwich is a great idea, it really brings out the flavors in the meat to make it tasty without the need for a lot of condiments. But that said, I am no fan of mustard, but whatever mustard they use is fantastic. My only wish is that they put just a little more meat on the sandwich. I get it from a cost standpoint, but it's almost less than Subway. But all and all a great sub place that is much better than your local Subway. Make sure and check it out. read more

Pretty good sandwich joint. Had the Italian and the Meatball. Italian was one of the best I have had in a while. For some reason it's hard to find a Hot Italian in Salt Lake. Everything I ordered was really bland. The chili might have as well have come from Wendy's. It tasted exactly the same, which is not a good thing in my opinion. The meat and beans were also too chewy. The Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket was the worst of the bunch. Very dry, lacking in BBQ sauce, and there was hardly any cheddar on it. The kids and I love Firehouse Subs. The size of the sandwich is perfect for them, plus it comes with a fountain drink and a treat! They also love getting their fireman hat and playing with it while we wait for the food (5 min tops!). They have the fancy soda machine, and I always spend so much time looking at all the choices... so fun! This location is rarely busy, but has a steady clientele. All the sauce options are good too. By far one of the best Sub spots in the area. Not only are the 8" subs the perfect size to fill you up, but they taste great at a good price. I went there for the first time with my in-laws and some friends on Labor day and we all ate for under 40 bucks. I love companies that have holiday deals and coupons on Facebook. I have been to other Firehouse Subs in my area, but this one is by FAR my favorite. The whole entire staff was so friendly. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. And they didn't skimp on anything on my sandwich! The sauce and meat was on there. Full of flavor. Tons of drink choices. We even had a manager come around and ask how our food was! Checked in today and had the Hook and Ladder. These guys really know how to make a sandwich right. I've been pleased with the various sandwiches that I've had, but I must say that I generally get the sandwiches without much dressing. So understand that when I get a sandwich it is generally without dressing. I like the taste of their meat without it. These guys also have pretty good customer service. Once upon a time I rated this location 5 stars, friendly staff, AMAZING food, clean restaurant etc. However one incident just changed my whole view. I was waiting in line to order food, the staff seemed to be busy with what I assumed to be to go orders. With quarantine, I'm sure there is a huge spike and that's fine. However, an employee seemed to be having a bit of distress and another Male employee who had small gauges in his ear started yelling at him. Very loudly. Using profanity. And then the employee walked away to handle what ever distress, and he continued to talk bad about him. The employee then came back about 5 minutes later to get back on the line and the employee with gauges started up again talking bad to him. The employee that was under distress got back to work, and the employee with gauges just continued to give him attitude and be little him. I DONT CARE WHAT THE SITUATION WAS, NOT ONE PERSON SHOULD BE TREATED SO POORLY OR UNPROFESSIONALY IN A WORK ENVIORMENT. I want to make that clear, I DONT CARE WHAT HAPPENED, THERE IS NO EXCUSE. I will not be returning, which honestly your not loosing much out of the 20 bucks I'd spend a month, if I'm lucky, but also I'll be letting everybody else I know that frequents that location to not go. That employee that had gauges should be terminated IMMEDIATELY. Everybody in that restaurant heard how that employee was treated and it broke my heart. I love their hook and ladder and I love the hero. If you want a pretty good meatball, firehouse! OMG I love these subs. The meat is steamed. I don't know of any other place that steams their meat.
