I was ok with this place even despite its high prices and somewhat small sandwiches. But then I went a few more times and the sandwiches were either wrong, or just poorly made, and to top it off when I asked for a couple of lids for the sauces, they had to have a side-conversation before letting me know I was allowed to have up to 3 lids and no more because they're apparently losing the farm on all those evil sauce thieves that just take too much sauce to go! Apparently it's not an issue if people just use all the sauce they want while dining-in since there's no limit to sauce cups, just a limit to the fucking lids. How intensely petty is that? It's like fast food places that charge you for additional ketchup packets. I didn't even WANT more than 3 sauce cups, I didn't even want all 3 (I had just poured their house sauce and a hot sauce), but how bad does your business have to be doing that you're now telling your customers they need to watch their condiment intake? Just go out of business and sell real estate to Canadians or something instead if you're going to be petty. I want a sandwich and a side of condiments, not a side of freaking guilt. read more

I will admit it, this place surprised me. For being a sub store, this place gets kudos and here is why. Staff were very kind to us from the get go. They talked to us and had great attitudes. I had a coupons in my pocket that I completely forgot about. I paid for our order with a Visa. I decided to ask them if they could still honor the coupons. The nice lady was very helpful. She canceled our order and reentered it into the system. She entered the coupons. She told me I could get an add on kids combo. I got an extra small drink and chips for the kids. With the coupons added they saved us 8 dollars even with the add ons. The subs themselves are pretty good. I had a Steamer sub. My wife had the Hook and Ladder. On top of everything else, we appreciated the outside seating with the gorgeous weather. Pics are included. Kudos! read more

Update to my previous review 10/26/2020. GM contacted me shortly after my review and was very concerned with my experience. He showed concern and understanding of why I was frustrated and disappointed, so he was very emphatetic which was very nice. He offered to basically do a do-over of our meal for free to try and meet our expectations. My husband and I went in on a busier day for our meal and basically ordered the same thing. There was a small confusion with the free meal, but that was to be expected. The GM came right over and apologized for the original confusion and gave us free drinks with our meal. Our sandwiches were done promptly and it definitely didn't seem to be a prioritization because of a bad yelp review. We took them home and enjoyed our meal. Overall, a significant better experience. I would 100% advocate for NOT ordering online unless you have a large catering order. I think that was what caused the issue originally because when we went in person we didn't have any problems. read more

PLEASE STOP YELLING "WELCOME TO FIREHOUSE" EVERY TIME SOMEONE WALKS IN THE DOOR. It is VERY IRRITATING for the people sitting there eating. What makes you think that people will like that? This location is fab!y young kids love coming here! They prefer it over the stinky old McDonald's any day. The employees are warm in greeting you and very friendly through the whole ordering process. It appears the employees genuinely like their jobs - usually a sign of great management. The food is tasty and fiat priced. I can feed my family for under $20. Keep up the good work. first visit to a firehouse subs. I was expecting mediocre food and bad service, like everywhere else in Maricopa. we were pleasantly surprised to find that the GM was very friendly and helpful when ordering and made sure we were satisfied while we were eating. the food was great. the bread was very fresh and good (I'm super picky about bread so this was a big deal). the place was clean and nice. my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed the selection of bbq and hot sauce they had available. and they have a coke freestyle machine which is fantastic. we will definitely be back. read more

Loved it! Last weekend I had a really bad experience with another Bbq place...but fire house subs made up for my anguish. I had the beef and cheese brisket. Absolutely melted in my mouth. I will order this again. I'm not usually a fan of baby rays Bbq sauce as my preference is a mixture of famous Dave Devils spit and sweet and sassy sauce, but this was great! They mixed mayonnaise with sweet baby rays and it was wonderful. You should try it...it jst opened in Maricopa and they were spot on with taking my order and especially making sure I got my pickle spear....just wish it was a Nally puckle. The food is great. However, two of the employees I believe by the names of Kaitlyn and Airen were busy being flirtatious while customers are trying to order and eat their food. As I said before, the food is good, but I really DID NOT appreciate all of the PDA going on while they were working. It made me and my family very uncomfortable.. I had ordered the large hook and ladder & reg Italian also a sm chilly the chilly was great , but both sandwiches had issues it seemed like they are Pre packing the meat and not separating the slices so when you bit in it you get a big clump of meat. I have ate here many of times and the quality was always good. I hope this isn't going to be their normal, do to their restaurant changes??!? read more

Me and my husband LOVE this place ! Even though they are normally training new people and can sometimes have a little bit of a wait time, the food and the customer service especially from the managers, is always SO awesome. We have been in a couple times that they were training and other customers were freaking out and being beyond rude over a freaking sandwich, we waited patiently and kindly and the manager gave us a free sandwich card for not being the only Sh*t heads in line! The only reason this location is getting two stars is because at least the food doesn't disappoint. The customer service however, is always horrible here. The food takes FOREVER and the employees are rude. Ordered online at our house for pick up and left to go eat in because it's always that slow. It's about a 15 min drive to the location and when we got there, there wasn't a single person in the dining room and not a single person behind the counter. It took about 5 mins for anyone to come out and provide service. When she did, she was extremely rude. Told her we had an online order and she said "That's not due for another 20 mins" ...... there's no one even there and nobody was making any sandwiches so why would we have to wait ANOTHER 20 mins? So I said "I put the order in at home for ASAP pick up" and she said "yeah well we don't have to have it done until *insert time*" uhh okay....? That's when they started making the sandwiches. Of course the food was great but they seriously need to find better employees. read more

I have never been to a Firehouse Subs. I am from NJ and know my fair share of good quality subs, my hometown aside this review is based on hot subs which is not a "NJ" trade. This place just opened up, I heard great things about their meatball sub. We ordered 3 subs including a meatball sub, cheese steak and a hot turkey and ham. Wasn't a fan of the fact that you can not watch your sandwhiches being made like other sub shops. Expected a longer wait since they are brand new, no problem. Came home, set the table and opened our bag. The three different subs were not labeled accordingly just with a #1, 2, or 3. Opened all three and found NO meatball sub. Instead we received another hot deli sub of three different meats. The bread is spongey and blah, wasn't toasted just warm. The cheese steak meat was minced, the melted cheese was just baked into the soft bread. The other two had zero flavor besides the overwhelming amount of mayo. Three medium subs, three bags of chips for $24. Seriously could have made a ham, turkey and cheese sub on crappy sub rolls from Frys and just microwaved it. So disappointed. Was hoping for at least a decent dining option in Maricopa that was not Mexican. I would rather drive out of town to Jersey Mikes or Jimmy Johns, the sandwhich would probably be just as hot by the time I got home. Perhaps it would have been better had we received the meatball sub we ordered. I'm not even sure I will go back to try that. read more

My father has been raving about Firehouse Subs since he 1st tried them. He finally took me over and all I can say is that I don't understand what the fuss is about. The subs were good, much better than subway, but nowhere near as good as Jersey Mikes or Jimmy John's. As soon as JM opens Firehouse will be a distant memory. read more

Today was the second time I have been jipped by this Firehouse location. I'd rather eat at another location. I love the salads but this location puts too much mozzarella cheese in the salad. Twice I have asked them not to put the cheese in my salad, but on the side. I didn't ask for extra cheese but I am charged extra for putting cheese on the side. Can't fix stupid. I am so done with this place. The Chandler location on Ray Road has never screwed me over like this. I'd rather spend my money there. read more

When it comes to subs in Maricopa, nothing beats firehouse. The subs are incredibly yummy and fresh (my heart goes meatball, but the hook and ladder is one not to gloss over). On top of that, the service is top notch, the place is always clean and the variety of hot sauce options mean your sandwich can always have a different taste. Great spot. read more
