For all of Firehouse's faults, I still go there several times a year. Faults? Well I try to be healthy, and their "fully involved" sandwich (with the mayo, lettuce, etcetc) is not exactly healthy... a whopping 20 grams of fat (for the hook and ladder). But that's the reason you like the Firehouse sub, because you can pretty much get meat, and lettuce, and bread at a bunch of different sandwich shops, but the steamer, the "fully involved" and the broad selection of hot sauces pretty much fill in that fourth star for me, and this location is consistently cliean and fairly fast even during rush hours. Will I go back? Yes. Will I ever get a combo again? No. I don't like that Coca Cola million flavor machine thing they serve the sodas out of. Yeah you can get a million sodas you can't get anywhere else, but none of them are spot on in taste unless you opt for a cherry coke or something with overpowering flavor - something is not right about those machines!! This place is going from bad to worse, was closed a couple of times with a sign on the door, last time Me, my wife and daughter went and they had a cash only sign, after waiting in line while the person behind the counter who claimed to be the owner made very inappropriate comments to the customer in front of us, when it was our turn He confessed that the credit system was working he just did not want to deal with people. I will keep this off of your Facebook page for now since you just tell people to DM you with their complaints so I'll give that a try before blasting you in public. Yesterday I ordered a sandwich on the app for pick up at 10:40 when the store opens at 10:30 in Alpharetta Georgia. I arrived at 10:30 so I could pick it up and leave and get back to work since I have limited time to be away from my desk Otherwise I would've ordered it during the rush-hour at lunch. When I got to the restaurant, there was no one inside. I tried calling, going through app support, and calling another store to see if they could fulfill my order, but they could not because they were owned by a different owner they said. I waited 45 minutes for the store to open and no one showed up so I left. I had submitted a request through the app support and they emailed me back saying the store manager would contact me. They did contact me and kept saying don't worry we will give you a free sandwich. Just come on in. They would not allow me to order the sandwich through the app again or refund my previous order so that I could order online and have it ready for pick up when I arrived. He did keep repeating you're getting a free sandwich even though it was just a sandwich that I had already paid for and driven 20 minutes round-trip to get along with 45 minutes waiting for them to open which never materialized. We are now up to one hour and five minutes for me to get a sandwich. I drove down there today another 20 minutes so we are at one hour 25 minutes to get my sandwich and there were six people in line with two people working. They were helping one person in the line every 5 to 10 minutes while making all the other app orders that have come in or phone orders. I ended up spending 35 minutes in line just to order the sandwich that I had already ordered the day before and paid for. Now we are up to two hours to get my sandwich. After they took my order, it got put in a line of 10 other orders that had come in online or on the app so I was there another 25 minutes waiting for them to make the sandwich after they took my order. We are now at two hours 25 minutes of my time to get a sandwich. As the guy kept saying, it's free though, and failing to grasp the fact that I have paid for this free sandwich already because I did not receive it the day before. When I got up to order it, I voiced my concern that perhaps because of all the time I had spent, they could do a little more and give me an extra sandwich for dinner since I was already two hours plus into this ordeal. He said "no, there's only two of us working." as if that made everything better. I lost two hours plus of my time, which is $56 of my own money that I would've made at work for those two hours plus paying for my sandwich so now I've waited over two hours for a sandwich that I paid $65 for. I would like a better resolution than just getting the sandwich I paid for and having to spend an additional two hours to do it. The restaurant will not do it as they have already said so I do not need them to contact me again. I will certainly never go to that location again anyway. But now you have a chance to do something that will keep my business at your other locations. Got a family of four and we eat there maybe once every 10 days. First thing I noticed when I walked in was how dirty the tables and floor was. It looked so bad I did not want to sit at a table so I did a Togo order. The person who took my order was slouch over the register as if he was half asleep, he did not say a single word or ask me about how I wanted my sandwich, was even more surprising he did not try to up sell me for a combo or drink. The guy really needed some training. My order was ready in about 10 minutes, I passed on using the hot sauce bar, it was a mess with hot sauce dripping down the side of various bottles, ew, did not want to touch them. read more

Horrible!! I ordered a beef and cheddar brisket sandwich and it was the messiest thing I've ever seen. There was sauce on the outside of the box and some on bag from messy gloves. But worse than that, there was so much fat you couldn't eat it. It almost seemed like slices of bacon barely cooked put on there . Just floppy fat slices. Also, I asked him while I was there if he put cheddar on it because I didn't see him putting any and he said oh yes, we don't serve brisket without cheddar. He could not care less that I was there ordering his food . Never acknowledged me buying something from his store and just ignored me other than taking my money. First, I must start by saying, I love firehouse subs. It's been one of my favorite sub places for a very long time. However, we have been to this location a handful of times every time there has seem to have been some thing lacking. Whether that was customer service, food did not seem well prepared or was a little cold, or just something wasn't right. Today we ordered food to be delivered and the order and delivery went just fine. However, my sandwich, which was a club on a sub was missing bacon and ham, leaving just a small amount of turkey basically on bread with some lettuce. It was lackluster and probably the final straw for us visiting this location. read more

I came in here to get a quick lunch because I wanted to try something different from my usual Subway sandwich. Huge mistake! It took them almost 5 minutes to even get my order with no one in front of me because they were working on a lunch catering order but when they finally did, it took another 10 minutes to get my food with no one else ahead of me. So much for a quick lunch. I had specifically asked for no mayo and when I got the sandwich, it had a lot of mayo but I didn't have time to have them make it again because I had to get back to work. I understand that a lot of people are doing Uber eats and DoorDash but I think you also need to prioritize the customers who are in front of you at your restaurant. Firehouse isn't Reuben's Deli (Broad Street, Atlanta), but it's also not Subway, and that's a good thing. 1st and 2nd stars - Blah blah standard Firehouse subs I like Firehouse subs better than anything that Subway could make, coat with gold, and serve with keys to a Ferrari. Seriously -- you cannot save a Subway sandwich from self loathing. It hates to be made. It begs to be tossed in the bin. Firehouse -- not so much, although their sandwiches are sorta soggy sometimes from the steamer. I recommend the meatball sub if you want something hot and filling. Otherwise, the turkey bacon club is a winner. 3rd star - Decent service at the Holcomb Bridge location I've been coming to this location for about 8 years, and I've never had any problems with the service. I think they've "slowed down" over time and changed management, but that's what happens with these fast food joints. It's not terribly slow, even on busy Sunday afternoons after nearby churches let out. Lost 4th star - Can get full of rug rats I can't fault the restaurant for this, but seriously -- on a Sunday at lunch after church, this place is wall to wall children. It's almost like a nursery. It doesn't help that the sandwiches take time to steam, thus compounding the lingering of said rug rats. Lost 5th star - Stupid digital Coke fountain machines Raise your hand if you hate these things. The Coke fountain machines with the touchscreen and 200+ flavor combinations? They seemed to be a pilot at Firehouse Subs in Atlanta, starting with the location near GA Tech. That was 5+ years ago, and I still harbor a deep-seated loathing for the things. They are a government IQ test to weed out the really dumb people for when they put the apocalypse survivors on arks. Plan on waiting behind every child, mouth breathing parent, and old woman who can't figure out how to a) get ice and b) pick a flavor. I placed an order for a sub for pickup today. When we went to pick it up I was told there was no record of it and told me to call Mansell. Mansell has no record either so I looked up payment on my phone and it was Grubhub Yelp. I called Old Alabama back and they said that since it was paid by Grubhub that I would have to call them. I called them and at 1st they had no record of my order either. When I mentioned Yelp they finally found it. At this point they finally called the store and was told my order would be ready in 2 minutes. In the meantime my husband came home with a counter order of the same items. Neither Grub Hub would help me with the issue or money. I paid over $22 for a cold sub and lemonade. I will never order from either one again!!!!!!! read more

After waiting for quite awhile, I asked a few people what their pickup time was and there order was getting done ahead of mine when their pickup time was much later. 35 minutes later, I get my order. I asked why other orders were pushed ahead of mine causing me to wait 35 minutes and he turned around and walked away with no response. I walk down and asked him again and his response was "It takes longer to make a salad. Have a good day." I then ask for the manager and one lady asks if she can help me but avoids my question about her being the manager. My family and I have been long time customers of your business. Got the turkey salsa verde sandwich with no cheese and no mayo from their "under 500" calorie menu. I work about 5 minutes away and by the time I got back to work the salsa verde had made the roll a little soggy. The sandwich was tasty but the bread was falling apart so I couldn't finish it (I have a thing about messy sandwiches...ick). The only thing I mighr suggest is maybe just put the salsa on one side of the sandwich- not both. Other than that it was yummy!! read more

It was Sunday morning - cloudy and temperatures dropping. I'm hungry for lunch and out running errands. Firehouse Subs it is! We made the mistake of getting into the Old Alabama/Nesbit Ferry area right after church and Mount Pisgah was letting out. Big mistake! I got stopped three different times by church-goers leaving the parking lot. I honestly thought Firehouse would be packed with the after-church crowd, but we got lucky. There was hardly a line and plenty of seating. Firehouse now has a handful of sandwiches and salads under 500 calories! Woo! They've expanded their menu a bit as well to include GF options. The decor is the same - dalmatian spotted table tops, a lot of firehouse red, hook and ladder references everywhere, and even little plastic firemen hats for kids! The set up is a little weird because you have to go inside the place and keep walking to order, and then head back towards to the door to wait for your food. It was a weird line tangle that people got confused about. And the people that sat right by counter were the victims because everyone in line bumped them and crowded their personal space. I ordered the Srirache Beef sandwich combo with a side of (the infamous firehouse) chili and he ordered the turkey, bacon and ranch combo. Total, around ~$22. It probably would have been around the same price for Jersey Mikes and Subway. We were given our cups and directed towards the Coke Freestyle Machine. These machines must be all the rage because they are EVERYWHERE. It used to be really cool and you would go to a place specifically for the Freestyle machine, but now that they're everywhere they've lost their magical-ness. We grabbed some chips and found a seat in the back away from the line. We weren't sure if we were supposed to pick up our food or if someone would bring it to us. So when they called our name, my husband got up to go pick up the food, but then someone came out and delivered it. The food runner just followed my husband back to his seat - it was kinda awkward. Served in a standard red plastic tray with branded wax paper, my sandwich was beckoning me. I could see the steam coming from the chili too! So excited! I will point out, that Firehouse Subs steams their buns and lets the meat and cheese melt together in the steamer after their cooked. They don't toast them or bake the sandwiches like other places do. This made my buns very soft but durable enough to hold everything in. No soggy buns! The Sriracha wasn't overwhelming, but just enough to feel the heat with every bite. Which I like, because some other places slather it on and it's too much. Cut in half and perfect to tackle from any side, my sandwich became the victim of my lunch hunger. Srirache, smoked beef, melted cheese and onions came together to create one amazing sammich. I approve. The chili was decent. Served hot and with crackers, it was the perfect addition to the cold cloudy day. I also took some of my chips and put them in the chili. IMHO, chili should have beans. This is a huge debate between my husband and I. This chili has beans! I will admit, the chili could use some more spices and flavor. Overall, the place was clean, organized and knew what they were doing. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but if I'm in the area I would stop by. She looked like she was frustrate with the kid. She kept mumbling about thus and that. She was very rude. Well did you look over there for your sandwich.
