Depending on how the owner deals with the horrible service/ customer service I just experienced. In honesty the food here has always been good no problem there. But the problem is if or when you get your food (online ordering) was told company policy to skip or stop making online orders to do walk-in orders. But also told they put my ticket in the wrong order. A lot more went down and I asked or an apology and was looked at like I was growing horns out of my head. Horrible customer service actually horrible service all around. (Update) owner did call and apologize. read more

Great customer service but inefficiently executed. One person should be completely dedicated to online orders and one to live orders with the register rep going between. Instead it was complete chaos, and our order was not correct. Unfortunately by the time we realized the order was a mess we had already waited 30 min for our food and my children were not patient enough for me to ask for corrections. read more

(Updated review, previously 3 stars) Last time: "The food was very dry and the meat tasted under cooked (brisket)" After 3 months of avoiding firehouse subs due to my previous experience within the taste of the food, I decided to give it another shot today. I got the club on the sub with jalapeno kettle chips and peach water. I must say, you all did not disappoint this time. It was absolutely delicious, perfect crunch on bread, meat was tasty and juicy...everything was perfect and the staff was so friendly and interactive! I love that this place does so much to give back to the first responders in the community. You can round up your bill to the nearest whole dollar and it goes to first responders. How awesome is that? A portion of each sub sold also is donated. We do not have a Firehouse in the town that we live in so this is only our third time ever eating at one. This location has friendly workers and the food is great. I enjoyed the meatball sub while my husband decided on the roast beef. We both were happy with our portion sizes for the price paid. read more

I'm always a fan of fire house sub. If I am ever wanting a quick "fast food like meal" this is where I like to go. Their restaurants are always clean and their service is fast. I love that the staff always makes sure to greet everyone who comes in in most locations, however, this was not the case at this location. The staff was not helpful and we appeared a bother when we arrived. I do enjoy their drink machines and all the choices they have. They also even have a healthier menu if you have some diet restrictions, and this is the case in all locations. Personally I love their hot sandwiches especially in the colder months. I recommend their smoke house beef and cheddar brisket. A regular is perfect size for a meal, they cut it in half and often I save the other half for the next day. Get the large to split if you are wanting something a little lighter for dinner or lunch. Their online ordering service is also very handy. You can quickly order online and pick up in minutes at the restaurant without having to wait. Overall, I enjoy firehouse subs as a whole and will got back. They are my favorite fast food sandwich options. read more

I like firehouse subs a lot. The franchise is one of my favorite sub shops. That being said, this particular location is terrible. The product and service I receive from this location is consistently of a much lower quality than any other Firehouse Subs location I have been to. (And I've been to Firehouse Subs all over the country!) The last time I visited, I got home to find that both sandwiches my girlfriend and I had ordered had all the meat piled in the middle of the sub roll meaning we had to either completely deconstruct and reconstruct the food ourselves, or have half the sub be bread and lettuce. I absolutely cannot stand pickles, so both my girlfriend and I requested no pickle spears. Both sandwiches had pickle spears. Typically this store is extremely slow, and the staff usually seem like they hate their jobs. That is, if they have enough staff at all. This is the first firehouse subs I felt negatively enough about to go out of my way to write a poor review. Until they step it up, I will just go a bit further out to the Hebron location, which is stellar. (even though they could use some more xxxxxxxxhot sauces) read more

I had heard many positive things about this restaurant chain from friends on Facebook and was thrilled to see one literally pop up over night here in Florence. We early stopped in for a late lunch one afternoon. I really loved the scheme of the interior of the restaurant and how dedicated to the locality they were to add Florence Freedom's mascots, Belle and Freedom, along with the iconic "Florence Y'all" water tower to the mural painted on the wall. This won me over instantly. My husband ordered the Firehouse Meatball sub while I ordered the Turkey Bacon Ranch sub. We opted for the combo so we could use their fancy Coca-Cola Freestyle machine which I love so much. Their subs were great. The meatball sub in particular was fantastic. The meatballs tasted like homemade meatballs! I added some of their signature "Captain Sorensen's Datil Pepper Sauce" to my sub. This sauce is out of this world and you have the option of purchasing it in a cute little fire hydrant shaped bottle. It was also interesting to see all of the dozens of hot sauce bottles lined up on the counter to choose from if you want to add heat to your sub. The toasted sub rolls were just tasty! If the food doesn't lure you in then the fact that proceeds and donations go to the local first responders, fire departments and public safety organizations will certainly make you feel great about eating at this restaurant. We will certainly be coming back soon to enjoy more subs! read more

I went there to treat some of my colleagues who hadn't heard of the place. The subs were outstanding! I had the brisket and my colleagues each ordered various sandwiches off of the 'Hot Specialty Menu.' We all ordered our sandwiches on the wheat bread, which melts in your mouth. The brisket had a nice smoke flavor and the BBQ sauce was divine. The portion sizes were very generous and a couple of my colleagues got a kick out of the Coke-a-Cola drink fountain. My only reservation about this location is the cashier that talked over us at rapid fire pace, causing us to repeat our orders at least 3 times. Because of this, one order was incorrect. All other employees seemed gracious and highly motivated. read more

Stopping in around 1:00 today for takeout I expected the service to be slow as it generally is at lunch time, but this should have been offset by a good hot sandwich... Well, The MD Steamer sandwich was hot. It would have been a good sandwich if there was a reasonable amount of meat on it, but unfortunately there was not enough to tell. Looking at the bag they proudly proclaim " we cater to firefighter sized appetites"... I guess firefighters must be on a diet. read more

I decided to give this location another shot after a pretty poor first impression a few months back. Heck, I love the location in Tri-County. Sadly this time was even worse. Both visits were fairly similar... I walked in to a staff that seemed to be bothered by my presence and was much more interested in watching the sportsball playing on the TV's. This time, an associate was "sweeping" the floor but was more holding a broom while deeply entranced by the bouncing orange ball on the tv. I approached the counter and a 2nd associate slowly sulked out of the back and stood at the counter, never greeting me. In an awkward exchange I attempted to give him my order and pecked away at the computer barely talking back. Once this awkward exchange came to a close, this same associate immediately started putting together my order (I've never seen the cashier also prep the food). A third associate, who may have been a manager or shift lead slinked out of the back while on the phone and went to the restroom. He came back out, still on the phone but his eyes locked to the TV screen and remained there. Meanwhile, I grabbed myself a signature Cherry Limeade only to realize the lime container was empty. On to the food... My name was eventually called. I mentioned to empty lime container and the "manager" snapped to to lead the cashier to the back to get limes. They returned empty handed and said that they must've ran out. I went to grab my bags and immediately noticed that a third of my order was missing, the chili. I ordered 2 sandwiches and a bowl of chili. Not a large order. No apologies or anything, just a slow turn around to grab what appeared to be a cup of chili. Unsurprisingly, the sandwiches were subpar. The bread was soggy and not toasted and the "Turkey, Bacon and Ranch" might have had a little bit of ranch on it... maybe. Sure this location sucks but don't let that stop you from trying another Firehouse. They can actually be quite good when ran by a competent and caring staff. read more

The staff were friendly and attentive, which was the only positive point from my first dining experience with Firehouse Subs. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and it had no flavor. I mean, there couldn't have been any seasoning added to any part of this dish. I searched for a pepper packet at the condiment stand and couldn't find any. I opted for some hot sauce which made the sandwich barely salvageable. I purchased a chocolate chip cookie for dessert and it nearly broke my teeth. Not even the center of the cookie was soft. Well I can't comment on the quality of the sandwiches because EVEN after asking me if I wanted onions on my sandwich, the Cook/Manager still managed to miss that small detail. Anyway, besides my wife and I the only customers were two young ladies that couldn't have been older than 18. The Cook/Manager kept up with his poor attempt at impressing them while they sipped their child sized(and which I assume were free) drinks all while making our sandwich. He calls our name, and we're happy to get out as the thermostat had to be set no higher than 60. We also pick out our "side" of chips, which is essentially one of those $.25 bag of chips you buy for your kids lunchbox.. That is what my extra $3.50 got me with the "Combo," oh and your typical fountain drink. We make our journey home prepared to try the towns newest sandwich spot. Now I've been all over for work. I've had Ginos and Pats in Philly, I've managed a Great Steak & Potato for a couple years when I was in my early 20s, and have always been a fan of sandwiches.. I took one bite and the taste of onions overwhelmed the "easy bell pepper" which wasn't "easy" at all and there also weren't any "banana peppers" which I personally requested. There's not even an option for cheese sauce on the sandwich. That doesn't really matter since it was uneatable anyway.. Fortunately we have a large bull mastiff that has an even bigger appetite. If I could speak bitch, I'd ask her what she thought but I'm no scholar.. So, if you want to spent $10-12 on an average sandwich, a bag of Cheetos, and a soda by all means give this place a go. Hopefully the on duty manager isn't the 18 year old I spoke with. He sounded rather humored by my phone call, especially when I told him I've been in the restaurant business since before his balls dropped. Well if I have to say 1 good thing about it's the fact that the owner spent the extra $$ on Coca-Cola's new Freestyle Fountain Dispenser. I've eaten there twice and both great experiences. First time Meatball second time brisket sub, Both good. Reasonable price for what you get. Drinks are large. Fun atmosphere. I recommend it. read more
