#59/2023 Firehouse subs not too many near my house they close most of the chains. Early '90s couple of former firefighters in Jacksonville Florida decided the branch off into the sandwich chain. Originally started in the Jacksonville area franchise quickly but it didn't go very good and they bought back all the locations. They would thrive for many years in Florida Firehouse of course has fire station theme kind of things which makes it very unique same with the titles of their food and everything else. They would try a different marketing angle bringing in a investment group and the different kind of expansion. Continue to grow fairly well for the most part They're also in other countries not just America Puerto Rico, Switzerland and Canada. are found in two Florida airports Jacksonville and Orlando. Western New England University they also opened a location on campus. Expansions continue with over 50 in Ontario alone wanting to get to 90 more through Canada I came in and I ordered up one of my favorites that I used to really enjoy the New York steamer. Because I am a huge fan of corned beef and pastrami. One of these times I'll try a different sandwich one time allows and one of their salads this is a nice location.. it's an easy walk from the truck stop a few extra steps but it's okay very clean. The staff are very nice. Everything was very well presented and I enjoyed my food very much so this visit here and review gets four stars definitely above average for sure in my opinion. read more

The New York Steamer was just ok. Wasn't bad, but kinda meh. And for 20 dollars? Just too expensive for what you get.

Ordered online for pick up. Order was ready to go when we arrived. The boxes were disgusting with food and oil on the outside. Checked my sub before we left - and it was wrong. I asked for no ham and no mayo. Sandwich had both. I took the receipt in with the sandwich and she actually looked over the receipt like I didn't know what I'd ordered. Very insulting. No "I'm sorry about that" , nothing. Sandwich was remade and again the box was filthy. That must be this locations signature. Sandwich was ok at best. I ate half and threw the rest away. Will not be back. Will not recommend to others. read more

Food was great! I ask for extra meat. Quality always on par. My husband and I like it better than the one in oak ridge. It costs more than some other sub places but places like subway can't touch it. Servers are always nice and the tables are always clean. read more

Most delicious scrumptious juicy mouth-watering subs ever. I thought subs were just eh. I mean I think we all know Subway is sucky, Penn Station and Jimmy John's are pretty dang good... but Firehouse Subs. My lil current hyper-fixation. Very disappointing. I spent almost $40 on a special large salad sandwich with extras, minus things and a small corned beef, with two Mac & cheese, pre ordered for pickup. I walk in and after I'm at the register 3 people grumble "welcome to firehouse".... I payed for my stuff, looked in the bag and saw everything I thought was correct. Turned out to be just complete standard as written sandwiches. I paid for extra toppings, including bacon, none of which was added. They were slathered in peppers and dressings (I didn't want) and the salad sandwich was inedible. (Allergies) since the crew didn't care to make a correct sandwich, which I clearly requested when I ordered, I will not recommend or return to this particular Firehouse Subs. Serious lack of give-a-crap in this establishment. I appreciate the concept as retired FDNY EMS myself, but a crew revision is desperately necessary read more

I ordered 3 subs online. The website most not acknowledge when you make specifications, because the ones i changed things on were wrong. I ordered to add mushrooms, no peppers, no mayo on the steak sub. On my turkey I ordered no mustard and add banana peppers, that was also incorrect. It is just too expensive for those kind of problems. My husband refuses to eat anything with mayo so of course he would not touch his. read more

Placed an order at 3:00 to pick up at 4:15. So they had over an hour to make it and I still had to wait. When I arrived at 4:15 I saw an employee place a bag on top of the oven/steamer. Let's call him Spicoli since he embodied everything the Spicoli character (Fast Times at Ridgemont High) was about. A slow talking, stoner, surfer sounding dude without a clue. I asked about that order on the oven and got a blank stare that said "No way...Uh HuHuHu." More concerned with mumbling to his "Bro" than anybody's order. I ordered double meat on my sandwich and if that was double meat, I hate to see a regular sub. My guess is a bread sandwich. The sandwich had potential for sure but the lack of fillings in a sandwich served with a lack of customer service made this an unpleasurable meal. At Firehouse Subs, a portion of your purchase goes toward providing life-saving equipment for first responders and that is a great cause. However, First Responders deserve to be associated with a product equal to the services that they provide and this wasn't it. Penn Station is going in across the street and should be open soon. Great food and really great service. Employees are very nice and helpful. Subs are so delicious and filling. The restaurant itself was clean and the atmosphere is very laid back and family friendly. read more

Very good but way too expensive. I always enjoy the food but the bang is definitely not worth the very expensive buck!

Super small store, almost missed it actually. When I walked in, one one person looked up at me and greeted me. The young man at the cash register was kind and made a suggestion, very personable. I was super disappointed in my steak and cheese sub. There wasn't much flavor and the toppings were sparse. Hardly any onion and peppers, I asked for pickles and they put a couple pickles. They didn't even have spinach for the subs! I was super surprised. I will not be returning and will stick to Subway if I want a sub. read more

Love this place, always friendly and fast and much better than subway. Clinton store is best!

I ate lunch there today. The place was clean, service was good and the sandwich hit the spot. The manager was walking the seating area checking on guests and passed out some fireman hats to the kids. I'll be back. read more

Update: This last visit was much faster. Food was out quickly and there was plenty of ice.

Took awhile to get my food even though there wasn't many people in there. The food was okay, but not the best I've had at firehouse subs.

Great place to go if you want everything you asked for to not be on the sub and everything you didn't want to be on it. The lid even said the correct order but whoever made it had other plans. read more
